1Numerical simulation of droplet impacting liquid surface by SPH显示文摘Droplet impacting liquid surface is not only the extremely prevalent phenomenon in the nature and industrial production but also the extremely complicated problem of strong non-linear transient impact and free-surface flow. On the basis of the two-dimensional viscous incompressible N-S equations, this paper conducts a study of numerical simulation on the problem of droplet impacting liquid surface (water beads) of water container in certain initial velocity by the method of SPH (smoothed particle hydrodynamics). The effect of surface tension is considered between surface particles by searching the free surface particles in the course of study; the effect of initial impact has been solved by use of artificial viscosity; at the same time, the side-wall virtual particles and image virtual particles are both introduced to deal with the boundary condition, which has solved the boundary defects quite well and eliminated the instability of real particles dropped to the corner of container. The calculated results form the distribution chart of particles, flow field chart, pressure chart and the displacement and velocity variation curve of different particles. The comparison between simulated results and experimental photos shows that the simulation is effective. This paper compares the variational curves for fluctuations of liquid surface qualitatively through adopting the methods of level-set, BEM and SPH, respectively at last. The simulated results show that it will produce strong non-linear phenomena, such as the splash of liquid, discrete liquid surface, and strong wave of free liquid surface, when the droplet impacts liquid surface; in the course of impacting, the movement of liquid particles exhibits the characteristic of oscillation; the method of SPH has certain advantages of dealing with the large deformation problem of free surface.LI DaMing LI XiaoYu LIN Yi 2011Science China(Technological Sciences)2011,54,7:6
2Electron-Deficient Zn-N_(6) Configuration Enabling Polymeric Carbon Nitride for Visible-Light Photocatalytic Overall Water Splitting显示文摘Despite of suitable band structures for harvesting solar light and driving water redox reactions,polymeric carbon nitride(PCN)has suffered from poor charge transfer ability and sluggish surface reaction kinetics,which limit its photocatalytic activity for water splitting.Herein,atomically dispersed Zn-coordinated three-dimensional(3D)sponge-like PCN(Zn-PCN)is synthesized through a novel intermediate coordination strategy.Advanced characterizations and theoretical calculations well evidence that Zn single atoms are coordinated and stabilized on PCN in the form of Zn-N_(6) configura-tion featured with an electron-deficient state.Such an electronic configuration has been demonstrated contributive to promoted electron excitation,accelerated charge separation and transfer as well as reduced water redox barriers.Further benefited from the abundant surface active sites derived from the 3D porous structure,Zn-PCN realizes visible-light photocatalysis for overall water splitting with H_(2) and O_(2) simultaneously evolved at a stoichiometric ratio of 2:1.This work brings new insights into the design of novel single-atom photocatalysts by deepening the understanding of electronic configurations and reactive sites favorable to excellent photocatalysis for water splitting and related solar energy conversion reactions.Daming Zhao Yiqing Wang Chung-Li Dong Fanqi Meng Yu-Cheng Huang Qinghua Zhang Lin Gu Lan Liu Shaohua Shen 2022Nano-Micro Letters2022,14,12:2

4Study on Ocular Torsion of V Patterns Strabismus显示文摘Purpose: To investigate the ocular torsion of V patterns.Methods:Twenty-two in hospital V patterns patients underwent bilateral inferior obliquemuscles myectomy for inferior oblique overacting and hortizon recti underwent recessresection procedure to correct hortizon devation. Objective cycloposition was assessed by fundus photograph before and 7 days after surgery in all cases. The photographs was stored in computer, and the disc-fovea angle was measured by means of drawing picture software. As well as the deviation, oblique muscle function was recorded before and after surgery.Result: Seventeen cases were bilateral ocular excyclotropia, 4 cases were monocular excyclotropia and one case was normal.The disc-fovea angle of right eyes and left eyes before operation is 15.67°+5.72° and 16.59°+6.69°.The comparisons among V patterns and normal average showed significant differences ( P < 0.001). The disc-fovea angle of right eyes and left eyes after operation is 5.24°+5.87° and 7.17°+5.40°. 7Identification of weathered troughs in granites for tunneling at Daya Bay reactor-neutrino experiment site显示文摘Weathered troughs are frequently encountered in granites.They can cause problems to tunneling in the rocks and have to be properly addressed.The structures or spatial shapes of weathered troughs were seldom clarified in the past.In this paper,four weathered troughs are identified by means of geophysical exploration,core drilling,logging,and in-situ stress measurement at Daya Bay reactor-neutrino experiment site in Shenzhen,China.The weathered troughs are exposed on the ground or partially covered by grass and soils,which will threaten the safety of horizontal tunneling at a shallow depth.High electrical resistivity(HER) method is adopted for its feasibility and practicality,in combination with field geological observation,ultrasonic televiewer in boreholes and in-situ stress measurement.By comparing the HER values of completely decomposed to fresh rocks,it is indicated that the HER values of weathered troughs in natural state are 0.4-100 ·m,and the in-situ stress is abnormally lower than those at upper and lower layers.Field investigations show that the depths of the four weathered troughs are 30-182 m,with bottom elevation over 10 m.The volume of each weathered trough is mostly over 1×10 6 m 3 in inverted conic form.The weathered troughs often occur in various kinds of landforms,such as ridges,gullies or gently dipping dish-like depression areas.Faults and boundaries of different granitic plutons as well as joints govern the formation,locations and strikes of these troughs under development.Yanjun Shang Yongyue Shi Weijun Jin Daming Lin Fengbo Wu Wei Zhang 2012Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2012,4,2:1

9Method for segmentation of overlapping fish images in aquaculture显示文摘Individual fish segmentation is a prerequisite for feature extraction and object identification in any machine vision system.In this paper,a method for segmentation of overlapping fish images in aquaculture was proposed.First,the shape factor was used to determine whether an overlap exists in the picture.Then,the corner points were extracted using the curvature scale space algorithm,and the skeleton obtained by the improved Zhang-Suen thinning algorithm.Finally,intersecting points were obtained,and the overlapped region was segmented.The results show that the average error rate and average segmentation efficiency of this method was 10%and 90%,respectively.Compared with the traditional watershed method,the separation point is accurate,and the segmentation accuracy is high.Thus,the proposed method achieves better performance in segmentation accuracy and effectiveness.This method can be applied to multi-target segmentation and fish behavior analysis systems,and it can effectively improve recognition precision.Chao Zhou Kai Lin Daming Xu Jintao Liu Song Zhang Chuanheng Sun Xinting Yang 2019International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2019,12,6:1
10Science with the 2.5-meter Wide Field Survey Telescope(WFST)显示文摘The Wide Field Survey Telescope(WFST) is a dedicated photometric surveying facility being built jointly by University of Science and Technology of China(USTC) and the Purple Mountain Observatory(PMO). It is equipped with a 2.5-meter diameter primary mirror, an active optics system, and a mosaic CCD camera with 0.73 gigapixels on the primary focal plane for highquality image capture over a 6.5-square-degree field of view. The installation of WFST near the summit of Saishiteng mountain in the Lenghu region is scheduled in summer of 2023, and the operation is planned to start three months later. WFST will scan the northern sky in four optical bands(u, g, r and i) at cadences from hourly/daily in the deep high-cadence survey(DHS) program, to semi-weekly in the wide field survey(WFS) program. During a photometric night, a nominal 30 s exposure in the WFS program will reach a depth of 22.27, 23.32, 22.84, and 22.31(AB magnitudes) in these four bands, respectively, allowing for the detection of a tremendous amount of transients in the low-z universe and a systematic investigation of the variability of Galactic and extragalactic objects. In the DHS program, intranight 90 s exposures as deep as 23(u) and 24 mag(g), in combination with target of opportunity follow-ups, will provide a unique opportunity to explore energetic transients in demand for high sensitivities, including the electromagnetic counterparts of gravitational wave events, supernovae within a few hours of their explosions,tidal disruption events and fast, luminous optical transients even beyond redshift of unity. In addition, the final 6-year co-added images, anticipated to reach g■25.8 mag in WFS or 1.5 mags deeper in DHS, will be of fundamental importance to general Galactic and extragalactic science. The highly uniform legacy surveys of WFST will serve as an indispensable complement to those of the Vera C. 20Deposition rate and interaction of human-riverine from height increase and permanent function of an 1180 years weir in Southeast China显示文摘This paper is to present an efficient approach to enriching the quantification model of human-riverine interactions and its anthropogenic impact by a retrospective study on one of the four most famous historical hydraulic projects in China,the Tuoshan Weir.It was constructed in 833 AD and had trajectories of natural resilience and hydraulic engineering maturity more than thousand years.Extensive historical data and maturation procedure of the hydraulic system were used judiciously to examine the spatial patterns of the long-term water conservancy system with agriculture,urbanization and civilization of Ningbo City in Zhejiang Province,Southeast China.Interaction framework is assessed from historical perspective and the deposition rate(DR)is calculated by analyzing the continuous increase of the Tuoshan Weir height.The results show that the declining DR during the 1180 years guaranteed the beneficial role the Tuoshan Weir played in spite of some negative river responses caused by the increase of sediment deposition and decrease of fresh water-retention capacity.The following up revamped workings and well matured hydraulic system around the Tuoshan Weir also contribute a lot to the designed mission of the weir.We conclude that hydraulic system maturation is very important for the proper function and life span of huge hydraulic projects.SHANG YanJun PARK Hyeong-Dong YANG ZhiFa CHEN SiGuang LIN DaMing 2014Science China Earth Sciences2014,57,2:0
