12Melanocortin 3,5 receptors immunohistochemical expression in colonic mucosa of inflammatory bowel disease patients:A matter of disease activity?显示文摘BACKGROUND Melanocortin 3 and 5 receptors(i.e.,MC3R and MC5R)belong to the melanocortin family.However,data regarding their role in inflammatory bowel diseases(IBD)are currently unavailable.AIM This study aims to ascertain their expression profiles in the colonic mucosa of Crohn’s disease(CD)and ulcerative colitis(UC),aligning them with IBD disease endoscopic and histologic activity.METHODS Colonic mucosal biopsies from CD/UC patients were sampled,and immunohisto-chemical analyses were conducted to evaluate the expression of MC3R and MC5R.Colonic sampling was performed on both traits with endoscopic scores(Mayo endoscopic score and CD endoscopic index of severity)consistent with inflamed mucosa and not consistent with disease activity(i.e.,normal appearing mucosa).RESULTS In both CD and UC inflamed mucosa,MC3R(CD:+7.7 fold vs normal mucosa,P<0.01;UC:+12 fold vs normal mucosa,P<0.01)and MC5R(CD:+5.5 fold vs normal mucosa,P<0.01;UC:+8.1 fold vs normal mucosa,P<0.01)were significantly more expressed compared to normal mucosa.CONCLUSION MC3R and MC5R are expressed in the colon of IBD patients.Furthermore,expression may differ according to disease endoscopic activity,with a higher degree of expression in the traits affected by disease activity in both CD and UC,suggesting a potential use of these receptors in IBD pharmacology.Antonietta Gerarda Gravina Iacopo Panarese Maria Consiglia Trotta Michele D'Amico Raffaele Pellegrino Franca Ferraraccio Marilena Galdiero Roberto Alfano Paolo Grieco Alessandro Federico 2024World Journal of Gastroenterology2024,30,9:0
13Typologies of Intelligent Facades in Efficient Buildings显示文摘The production of efficient building models promotes the search for intelligent technologies,capable of making the car building sufficient,from an energy point of view,to improve the comfort and well-being of the occupants,while respecting the environment and the planet.So they need new building processes that increase market demand,enhancing the use of alternative sources in which construction becomes the focus of productivity.The objectives are those of energy self-sufficient buildings,with passive use of the roofs,in which the different materials and systems optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of the energy and technological systems,with an innovative constructive integrated design approach,for the new,for the redevelopment and recovery of the building,also according to European regulations including UNI EN 13830:2015 and other worldwide ones.The criteria are distinguished according to the needs of the occupants,for the use of energy self-sufficient environments,security,with air quality,living comfort,cost reduction and increased productivity of the real estate sector.The methodologies point to a new conscious and shared model for the use of innovative construction technologies,with BIM(Building Information Modeling)design and MEP(Mechanical,Electrical and Plumbing)systems,which aim at digitization with pre-planning and intelligent management in construction,and smart BMS(Building Management Systems)systems in the BA(Building Automation).So they use typologies of intelligent facades in efficient buildings,unitized curtain walling system,structural glass facades,suspended curtain-walls,etc.,with double and triple skin glazed systems,LED glass,with solar screens,etc.Therefore,high performance in passive systems,for natural lighting and ventilation,etc.is distinguished in envelopes in operation the solar incidence and solar carving techniques.The challenge is the well-being of the occupants in the use of innovative technologies for types of intelligent facades,in passive and efficient,low-carbon enclosures that interact with the user and the context,with a view to the durability of the systems,energy saving and some materials.Consiglia Mocerino 2020Journal of Civil Engineering and Architecture2020,14,6:0

15Dynamism and Soft Robotics in the Intelligence of the New Design of Lightweight Envelopes显示文摘The innovation of building envelopes is densely characterized, in the new design process, by new products of the building industry and intelligent robotic systems, making them efficient and dynamic in an eco-efficient environmental context and spatial flexibility. The goal is that of energy efficiency and environmental sustainability that invest above all the building production sector, pushing towards a circular economy with the use of clean energy resources and new artificial intelligence systems. The intelligence is highlighted through the optimization of the performance of new lightweight envelopes, in the technological design and the new building process, through Lean planning and Lean construction, Mass customization, with application of criteria, methods and tools. So there are innovative technological solutions, for environmental comfort and energy saving, and typological solutions with high performance level, with the use of innovative, adaptive, advanced, light materials with nanoproducts, intelligent IT systems, etc. We highlight the effectiveness of design with natural passive use of renewable energy and energy efficiency of the envelope as “skin” and relative increase in performance levels, in the interaction with the internal environment and natural dynamic flows and in the conversion of thermal and electrical energy. 17The New Integrated Management of Efficient Buildings: An Intelligent Method Approach and AI显示文摘Building process innovation highlights building systems and products that denounce both an incremental and radical development,indicating the technological sector as the driver for energy efficiency.The prototypes of this innovation stand out both in the tertiary and residential sector and are aimed at sustainable development with the use of renewable resources,intelligent technologies,with a view to contextualizing and environmental energy requalification.The objectives are those of a new integrated building management,intended as an increase in energy efficiency and an efficient digitalized connection with users and smart grids,through control platforms,IoT(internet of things),security throughout the building’s life cycle and use of AI(artificial intelligence)devices and materials.The approach is a new methodology,with the application of BMS(building management system)and BEMS(building energy management system)systems integrated with other systems,with an interface of protocols open to different manufacturers and multiple functions that invest both the technological and environmental system of the building,with advantages in electrical energy management and thermoelectric like intelligent HVAC systems,with intelligent monitoring and user comfort.Both the new Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning platforms contribute to a predictive use of energy efficiency with plant optimization.Therefore efficiency and energy saving strategies with intelligent integrated management and medium-long term maintenance programs.The challenge is a new intelligent method approach with the use of artificial intelligence and the development of new technologies in sustainable buildings.Consiglia Mocerino 2020Journal of Civil Engineering and Architecture2020,14,4:0
