2Genetic variation of yellow pigment and its components in foxtail millet(Setaria italica(L.) P.Beauv.) from different eco-regions in China显示文摘Kernel color is an important trait for assessing the commercial and nutritional quality of foxtail millet.Yellow pigment content(YPC)and carotenoid components(lutein and zeaxanthin)of 270 foxtail millet accessions,including 50 landraces and 220improved cultivars,from four different eco-regions in China were surveyed using spectrophotometry and high performance liquid chromatography methods.Results indicated that YPC had rich variance,ranging from 1.91 to 28.54 mg kg^(–1),with an average value of 17.80 mg kg^(–1).The average YPC of improved cultivars(18.31 mg kg^(–1))was significantly higher than that of landraces(15.51 mg kg^(–1)).The YPC in cultivars from the Loess Plateau spring sowing region(LPSSR)was the highest(20.59 mg kg^(–1)),followed by the North China summer sowing region(NCSSR,18.25 mg kg^(–1)),the northeast spring sowing region(NSSR,17.25 mg kg^(–1)),and the Inner Mongolia Plateau spring sowing region(IMPSSR,13.92 mg kg^(–1)).The variation coefficients of YPC in cultivars from NSSR,LPSSR,and IMPSSR were higher than that from NCSSR.A similar carotenoid profile was also obtained for 270 foxtail millet cultivars.Lutein and zeaxanthin accounted for approximately 55–65%of YPC in accessions.The lutein content was higher than zeaxanthin content in all cultivars.The ratio of lutein to zeaxanthin ranged from 1.51 to 6.06 with an average of 3.34.YPC was positively correlated with lutein(r=0.935,P<0.01),zeaxanthin(r=0.808,P<0.01),and growth duration(r=0.488,P<0.01),whereas it was negatively correlated with grain protein(r=-0.332,P<0.01)and 1 000-kernel weight(r=-0.153,P<0.05).Our study is useful for screening and selecting cultivars with high levels of yellow pigment and for enhancing phytochemical concentrations in breeding programs.YANG Yan-bing JIA Guan-qing DENG Li-gang QIN Ling CHEN Er-ying CONG Xin-jun ZOU Ren-feng WANG Hai-lian ZHANG Hua-wen LIU Bin GUAN Yan-an DIAO Xian-min YIN Yan-ping 2017Journal of Integrative Agriculture2017,16,11:15
3A Novel Hybrid Data Clustering Algorithm Based on Artificial Bee Colony Algorithm and K-Means显示文摘To improve the performance of K-means clustering algorithm, this paper presents a new hybrid approach of Enhanced artificial bee colony algorithm and Kmeans(EABCK). In EABCK, the original artificial bee colony algorithm(called ABC) is enhanced by a new mutation operation and guided by the global best solution(called EABC). Then, the best solution is updated by Kmeans in each iteration for data clustering. In the experiments, a set of benchmark functions was used to evaluate the performance of EABC with other comparative ABC variants. To evaluate the performance of EABCK on data clustering, eleven benchmark datasets were utilized. 5PARylation regulates stress granule dynamics, phase separation, and neurotoxicity of disease-related RNA-binding proteins显示文摘Mutations in RNA-binding proteins (RBPs) localized in ribonucleoprotein (RNP) granules, such as hnRNP A1 and TDP-43, promote aberrant protein aggregation, which is a pathological hallmark of various neurodegenerative diseases, such as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and frontotemporal dementia (FTD). Protein posttranslational modifications (PTMs) are known to 佗gulate RNP granules. In this study, we investigate the function of poly(ADP-ribosyl)ation (PARylation), an important PTM involved in DNA damage repair and cell death, in RNP granule-related neurodegeneration. We reveal that PARylation levels are a major regulator of the assembly-disassembly dynamics of RNP granules containing disease-related RBPs, hnRNP A1 and TDP-43. We find that hnRNP A1 can both be PARylated and bind to PARylated proteins or poly(ADP-ribose)(PAR). We further uncover that PARylation of hnRNP A1 at K298 controls its nucleocytoplasmic transport, whereas PAR-binding via the PAR-binding motif (PBM) of hnRNP Al regulates its association with stress granules. Moreover, we reveal that PAR not only dramatically enhances the liquid-liquid phase separation of hnRNP A1, but also promotes the co-phase separation of hnRNP A1 and TDP-43 in vitro and their interaction in vivo. Finally, both genetic and pharmacological inhibition of PARP mitigates hnRNP Al- and TDP-43-mediated neurotoxicity in cell and Drosophila models of ALS. 7Combined effects of p53 and MDM2 polymorphisms on susceptibility and surgical prognosis in hepatitis B virus-related hepatocellular carcinoma显示文摘The p53 signaling pathway works as a potent barrier to tumor progression.Two single nucleotide polymor-phisms(SNPs)in the gene loci of p53 pathway,p53 codon 72 Arg72Pro and MDM2 SNP309(T>G),have been shown to cause perturbation of p53 function,but the effect of the two SNPs on the risk of hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)remains inconsistent.This study in-vestigated the influence of combined p53 Arg72Pro and MDM2 SNP309 on the risk of developing HCC in pa-tients with chronic hepatitis B virus infection,and evaluated the significance of the two combined SNPs on patient prognosis.In total,350 HCC patients,230 non-HCC patients,and 96 healthy controls were geno-typed for the p53 Arg72Pro and MDM2 SNP309.The combined p53 Pro/Pro and MDM2 G/G genotype was significantly associated with HCC risk(P=0.047).Mul-tivariate analysis indicated that combined p53 Pro/Pro and MDM2 G/G genotype was an independent factor affecting recurrence and survival(P<0.05).Patients with combined p53 Pro/Pro and MDM2 G/G genotypes had a poorer prognosis than other genotypes,P<0.01 for both disease-free survival(DFS)and overall survival(OS).DFS and OS rates also differed significantly be-tween Barcelona Clinic Liver Cancer(BCLC)stage A patients with combined p53 Pro/Pro and MDM2 G/G and other genotypes(P<0.05).Thus,the combined p53 Pro/Pro and MDM2 G/G genotype is associated with increased risk of developing HCC and is an independ-ent adverse prognostic indicator in early stage HCC.Yun Yang Tian Xia Ning Li Jin Zhang Yuan Yang Wenming Cong Qiang Deng Ke Lan Weiping Zhou 2013Protein & Cell2013,4,1:8

9A draft sequence of the rice (Oryza sativa ssp. indica) genome显示文摘The sequence of the rice genome holds fundamental information for its biology, including physiology, genetics, development, and evolution, as well as information on many beneficial phenotypes of economic significance. Using a 'whole genome shotgun' approach, we have pro-duced a draft rice genome sequence of Oryza sativa ssp. in-dica, the major crop rice subspecies in China and many other regions of Asia. The draft genome sequence is constructed from over 4.3 million successful sequencing traces with an accumulative total length of 2214.9 Mb. The initial assembly of the non-redundant sequences reached 409.76 Mb in length, based on 3.30 million successful sequencing traces with a total length of 1797.4 Mb from an indica variant cultivar 93-11, giving an estimated coverage of 95.29% of the rice genome with an average base accuracy of higher than 99%. 11Application of micro-seismic facies to coal bed methane exploration显示文摘A neural network is applied to high-quality 3-D seismic data during micro-seismic facies analysis to per- form the waveform analysis and training on single reflection events. Modeled seismic channels are estab- lished and the real seismic channels are classified. Thus, a distribution of micro-seismic facies having a high precision over a flat surface was acquired. This method applied to existing geological data allows the distribution of areas rich in coal bed methane to be clearly defined. A distribution map of the micro-seismic facies in the research area is shown. The data accord well with measured methane con- tents, indicating that the analysis using micro-seismic facies is reliable and effective. 12Composition and phase structure dependence of mechanical and magnetic properties for AlCoCuFeNi_x high entropy alloys显示文摘In this study, the effects of composition and phase constitution on the mechanical properties and magnetic performance of AlCoCuFeNix(x = 0.5, 0.8, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, 3.0 in molar ratio) high entropy alloys(HEAs)were investigated. The results show that Ni element could lead to the evolution from face centered cubic(FCC), body centered cubic(BCC) and ordered BCC coexisting phase structure to a single FCC phase. The change of phase constitution enhances the plasticity but reduces the hardness and strength. One of the interesting points is the excellent soft magnetic properties of AlCoCuFeNixHEAs. Soft magnetic performance is dependent on composition and phase transition. AlCoCuFeNi1.5 alloy, achieving a better balance of mechanical and magnetic properties, could be applied as structure materials and soft magnetic materials(SMMs). High Curie temperature(>900 K) and strong phase stability below 1350 K of AlCoCuFeNi0.5 alloy confirm its practicability in a high-temperature environment. 16Influence of nanoparticle concentrations on flow boiling heat transfer coefficients of Al_2O_3/R141b in micro heat exchanger by direct metal laser sintering显示文摘Al_2O_3/R141 b + Span-80 nanorefrigerant for 0.05 wt.% to 0.4 wt.% is prepared by ultrasonic vibration to investigate the influence of nanoparticle concentrations on flow boiling heat transfer of Al_2O_3/R141 b + Span-80 in micro heat exchanger by direct metal laser sintering. Experimental results show that nanoparticle concentrations have significantly impact on heat transfer coefficients by homogeneity test of variances according to mathematical statistics. The heat transfer performance of Al_2O_3/R141 b+ Span-80 nanorefrigerant is enhanced after adding nanoparticles in the pure refrigerant R141 b. The heat transfer coefficients of 0.05 wt.%, 0.1 wt.%, 0.2 wt.%, 0.3 wt.%and 0.4 wt.% Al_2O_3/R141 b + Span-80 nanorefrigerant respectively increase by 55.0%, 72.0%, 53.0%, 42.3% and 39.9% compared with the pure refrigerant R141 b. The particle fluxes from viscosity gradient, non-uniform shear rate and Brownian motion cause particles to migrate in fluid especially in the process of flow boiling. This migration motion enhances heat transfer between nanoparticles and fluid. Therefore, the heat transfer performance of nanofluid is enhanced. It is important to note that the heat transfer coefficients nonlinearly increase with nanoparticle concentrations increasing. The heat transfer coefficients reach its maximum value at the mass concentration of 0.1% and then it decreases slightly. There exists an optimal mass concentration corresponding to the best heat transfer enhancement. The reason for the above phenomenon is attributed to nanoparticles deposition on the minichannel wall by Scanning Electron Microscopy observation. The channel surface wettability increases during the flow boiling experiment in the mass concentration range from 0.2 wt.% to 0.4 wt.%. The channel surface with wettability increasing needs more energy to produce a bubble. Therefore, the heat transfer coefficients decrease with nanoparticle concentrations in the range from 0.2 wt.% to 0.4 wt.%. In addition, a new correlation has been proposed by fitting the experimental data considering the influence of mass concentrations on the heat transfer performance. 18Machine-learning-assisted prediction of the mechanical properties of Cu–Al alloy显示文摘The machine-learning approach was investigated to predict the mechanical properties of Cu–Al alloys manufactured using the powder metallurgy technique to increase the rate of fabrication and characterization of new materials and provide physical insights into their properties.Six algorithms were used to construct the prediction models, with chemical composition and porosity of the compacts chosen as the descriptors.The results show that the sequential minimal optimization algorithm for support vector regression with a puk kernel(SMOreg/puk) model demonstrated the best prediction ability. Specifically, its predictions exhibited the highest correlation coefficient and lowest error among the predictions of the six models. The SMOreg/puk model was subsequently applied to predict the tensile strength and hardness of Cu–Al alloys and provide guidance for composition design to achieve the expected values. 19Density fluctuations in intermediate-energy heavy-ion collisions显示文摘Within the framework of the isospin-dependent quantum molecular dynamics model,we simulate^(129)Xe+^(119)Sn collisions in an incident energy range of 20 to 190MeV/nucleon and discuss the liquid-gas phase transition with density fluctuations.For comparison,we also extract the effective Fisher parameter τ_(eff),multiplicity of intermediate-mass fragments(IMFs),and information entropy.It is found that the Fisher parameter and maximum information entropy of collisions have peak values at E_(beam)=50-80 MeV/nucleon.In addition,the maximum multiplicity of IMFs has a plateau around 70 MeV/nucleon.For higher-order density moments in a larger central region of[-5,5]^(3) fm^(3) in the collision system,a maximum plateau also appears as function of beam energy at energies exceeding 70 MeV/nucleon.These observables,which are consistent with each other,indicate a liquid-gas phase transition around 70 MeV/nucleon for the^(129)Xe+^(119)Sn system.Cong Liu Xian-Gai Deng Yu-Gang Ma 2022Nuclear Science and Techniques2022,33,5:4
20Sequential infection with H1N1 and SARS-CoV-2 aggravated COVID-19 pathogenesis in a mammalian model, and covaccination as an effective method of prevention of COVID-19 and influenza显示文摘Influenza A virus may circulate simultaneously with the SARS-CoV-2 virus,leading to more serious respiratory diseases during this winter.However,the influence of these viruses on disease outcome when both influenza A and SARS-CoV-2 are present in the host remains unclear.Using a mammalian model,sequential infection was performed in ferrets and in K18-MCE2 mice,with SARS-CoV-2 infection following H1N1.We found that co-infection with H1N1 and SARS-CoV-2 extended the duration of clinical manifestation of COVID-19,and enhanced pulmonary damage,but reduced viral shedding of throat swabs and viral loads in the lungs of ferrets.Moreover,mortality was increased in sequentially infected mice compared with single-infection mice.Compared with singlevaccine inoculation,co-inoculation of PiCoVacc(a SARS-CoV-2 vaccine)and the flu vaccine showed no significant differences in neutralizing antibody titers or virus-specific immune responses.Combined immunization effectively protected K18-MCE2 mice against both H1N1 and SARS-CoV-2 infection.Our findings indicated the development of systematic models of co-infection of H1N1 and SARS-CoV-2,which together notably enhanced pneumonia in ferrets and mice,as well as demonstrated that simultaneous vaccination against HINT and SARS-CoV-2 may be an effective prevention strategy for the coming winter.Linlin Bao Wei Deng Feifei Qi Qi Lv Zhiqi Song Jiangning Liu Hong Gao Qiang Wei Pin Yu Yanfeng Xu Yajin Qu Fengdi Li Jing Xue Shuran Gong Mingya Liu Guanpeng Wang Shunyi Wang Binbin Zhao Bin Cong Chuan Qin 2021Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2021,6,6:4
