1Mushroom Poisoning Outbreaks—China,2010–2020显示文摘ABSTRACT Introduction:Mushroom poisoning was the leading cause of foodborne disease outbreaks and outbreak-associated deaths in China.Mushroom poisoning outbreak surveillance can provide insight into the epidemiological characteristics of mushroom poisonings and guide policymaking and health education to reduce illnesses and deaths.Methods:Foodborne Disease Outbreak Surveillance System was upgraded in 2011 to collect foodborne disease outbreaks in China.Mushroom poisoning outbreaks during 2010–2020 were selected to analyze geographical distribution,seasonal distribution,and setting of food preparation.Results:A total of 10,036 outbreaks,which resulted in 38,676 illnesses and 788 deaths,were reported in this period.Mushroom poisonings occurred all over the country,but with highest incidence in the southwest and central China.Weiwei Li Sara M.Pires Zhitao Liu Jinjun Liang Yafang Wang Wen Chen Chengwei Liu Jikai Liu Haihong Han Ping Fu Yunchang Guo 2021China CDC weekly2021,3,24:18
2Additive manufacturing of hydroxyapatite bioceramic scaffolds: Dispersion, digital light processing, sintering, mechanical properties, and biocompatibility显示文摘Hydroxyapatite(HA)bioceramic scaffolds were fabricated by using digital light processing(DLP)based additive manufacturing.Key issues on the HA bioceramic scaffolds,including dispersion,DLP fabrication,sintering,mechanical properties,and biocompatibility were discussed in detail.Firstly,the ffects of dispersant dosage,solid loading,and sintering temperature were studied.The optimal dispersant dosage,solid loading,and sintering temperature were 2wt%,50vol%,and 1250℃,respectively.Then,the mechanical properties and biocompatibility of the HA bioceramic scaffolds were investigated.The DLP-prepared porous HA bioceramic scaffold was found to exhibit excellent mechanical properties and degradation behavior.From this study,DLP technique shows good potential for manufacturing HA bioceramic scaffolds.Chengwei FENG Keqiang ZHANG Rujie HE Guojiao DING Min XIA Xinxin JIN Chen XIE 2020Journal of Advanced Ceramics2020,9,3:12
3Physical model test and numerical simulation on the failure mechanism of the roadway in layered soft rocks显示文摘To explore the failure mechanism of roadway in layered soft rocks,a physical model with the physically finite elemental slab assemblage(PFESA)method was established.Infrared thermography and a video camera were employed to capture thermal responses and deformation.The model results showed that layered soft roadway suffered from large deformation.A three-dimensional distinct element code(3 DEC)model with tetrahedral blocks was built to capture the characteristics of roadway deformation,stress,and cracks.The results showed two failure patterns,layer bending fracture and layer slipping after excavation.The layer bending fracture occurred at positions where the normal direction of layers pointed to the inside of the roadway and the layer slipping occurred in the ribs.Six schemes were proposed to investigate the effects of layered soft rocks.The results showed that the deformation of ribs was obviously larger than that of the roof and floor when the roadway passed through three types of strata.When the roadway was completely in a coal seam,the change of deformation in ribs was not obvious,while the deformation in the roof and floor increased obviously.These results can provide guidance for excavation and support design of roadways in layered soft rocks.Xiaoming Sun Chengwei Zhao Yong Zhang Feng Chen Shangkun Zhang Kaiyuan Zhang 2021International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2021,31,2:9
4Prediction of Cross-Tension Strength of Self-Piercing Riveted Joints Using Finite Element Simulation and XGBoost Algorithm显示文摘Self-piercing riveting(SPR)has been widely used in automobile industry,and the strength prediction of SPR joints always attracts the attention of researchers.In this work,a prediction method of the cross-tension strength of SPR joints was proposed on the basis of finite element(FE)simulation and extreme gradient boosting decision tree(XGBoost)algorithm.An FE model of SPR process was established to simulate the plastic deformations of rivet and substrate materials and verified in terms of cross-sectional dimensions of SPR joints.The residual mechanical field from SPR process simulation was imported into a 2D FE model for the cross-tension testing simulation of SPR joints,and cross-tension strengths from FE simulation show a good consistence with the experiment result.Based on the verified FE model,the mechanical properties and thickness of substrate materials were varied and then used for FE simulation to obtain cross-tension strengths of a number of SPR joints,which were used to train the regression model based on the XGBoost algorithm in order to achieve prediction for cross-tension strength of SPR joints.Results show that the cross-tension strengths of SPR steel/aluminum joints could be successfully predicted by the XGBoost regression model with a respective error less than 7.6%compared to experimental values.Jianping Lin Chengwei Qi Hailang Wan Junying Min Jiajie Chen Kai Zhang Li Zhang 2021Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2021,34,2:8
53-year Treatment of Tenofovir Alafenamide vs.Tenofovir Disoproxil Fumarate for Chronic HBV Infection in China显示文摘Background and Aims:Tenofovir alafenamide(TAF)has similar efficacy to tenofovir disoproxil fumarate(TDF)but with improved renal and bone safety in chronic hepatitis B patients studied outside of China.We report 3-year results from two phase 3 studies with TAF in China(Clinicaltrials.gov:NCT02836249 and NCT02836236).Methods:Chinese hepatitis B e antigen(HBeAg)-positive and-negative chronic hepatitis B patients with viremia and elevated alanine aminotransferase were randomized 2:1 to TAF or TDF treatment groups and treated in a double-blind fashion for 144 weeks(3 years).Efficacy responses were assessed by individual study while safety was assessed by a pooled analysis.Results:Of the 334 patients(180 HBeAg-positive and 154 HBeAg-negative)randomized and treated,baseline characteristics were similar between groups.The overall mean age was 38 years and 73%were male.The mean HBV DNA was 6.4 log10 IU/mL.The median alanine aminotransferase was 88 U/L,and 37%had a history of antiviral use.At week 144,the proportion with HBV DNA<29 IU/mL was similar among the two groups,with TAF at 83%vs.TDF at 79%,and TAF at 93%vs.TDF at 92%for the HBeAg-positive and-negative patients,respectively.In each study,higher proportions of TAF than TDF patients showed normalized alanine aminotransferase(via the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases and the China criteria)and showed loss of HBsAg;meanwhile,the HBeAg seroconversion rates were similar.Treatment was well-tolerated among the TAF patients,who showed a smaller median decline in creatinine clearance(−0.4 vs.−3.2 mL/min;p=0.014)and less percentage change in bone mineral density vs.TDF at hip(−0.95%vs.−1.93%)and spine(+0.35%vs.−1.40%).Conclusions:In chronic hepatitis B patients from China,TAF treatment provided efficacy similar to TDF but with better renal and bone safety at 3 years.Jinlin Hou Qin Ning Zhongping Duan You Chen Qing Xie Fu-Sheng Wang Lunli Zhang Shanming Wu Hong Tang Jun Li Feng Lin Yongfeng Yang Guozhong Gong John FFlaherty Anuj Gaggar Shuyuan Mo Cong Cheng Gregory Camus Chengwei Chen Yan Huang Jidong Jia Mingxiang Zhang GS-US-320-0110 and GS-US-320-0108 China Investigators 2021Journal of Clinical and Translational Hepatology2021,9,3:7
6Effect of Cooling Rate and Vanadium Content on the Microstructure and Hardness of Medium Carbon Forging Steel显示文摘This paper reports the effect of cooling rate on the microstructure and hardness of a kind of medium carbon steel microalloyed with two levels of V content(0.15%and 0.28%)after hot deformation by using single compression tests on a Gleeble-3800 thermal simulator.The results show that cooling rate has a significant effect on the microstructure and hardness of the tested steels.Both the fraction of pearlite and hardness increase with increasing cooling rate,whereas a further increase of the cooling rate above a critical value promotes the formation of acicular ferrite(AF),and thus leads to a decrease of hardness mainly owing to the decrease of pearlite fraction and replacing it by AF and the less effective precipitation strengthening.Increasing V content results in a significant increase of hardness,and this tendency enhances with increasing cooling rate until the formation of AF.Furthermore,increasing V content also significantly enhances the formation of AF structure at a lower cooling rate.The results also suggest that by controlling microstructure,especially the precipitation of fine V(C,N)particles through adjusting postforging cooling,the strengthening and gradient function in one hot-forging part could be obtained.Weijun Hui Yongjian Zhang Chengwei Shao Silian Chen Xiaoli Zhao Han Dong 2016Journal of Materials Science & Technology2016,32,6:7
7Modification performance on 4032 Al alloy by using Al–10Sr master alloys manufactured from different processes显示文摘The microstructures and modification performance on 4032 aluminum alloy of the Al–10Sr master alloy wire prepared from 'direct reaction-hot extrusion' and the trapezoidal block from 'direct reaction' were systemically studied by using optical metallurgical microscope, XRD and SEM. It was found that the preparation processes exhibited a significant effect on the microstructures of the Al–10Sr, which thereby influenced its modification performance. It has been found that when the Al–10Sr alloy wire was used, a desirable modification was obtained after 2 min and reached to the best performance at 60 min, and the optimum Sr addition amount was 0.04–0.06 wt%, and the good modification performance was kept even after 300 min. However, when the Al–10Sr alloy trapezoidal block was used, a desirable modification was started after 30 min and reached to the best performance as long as 120 min, and the optimum Sr addition amount was 0.06–0.08 wt%, and the effective modification period was only180 min. 8Function of Ca^(2+)-/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase Ⅳ in Ca^(2+)-stimulated neuronal signaling and behavior显示文摘The activity of Ca2+/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase IV(Ca MKIV) is sensitive to activity-dependent changes in the level of intracellular Ca2+.Following neuronal stimulation,the activation of Ca MKIV may trigger synaptic modifications and transcriptional responses,both of which are involved in regulating cognitive and emotional behavior.Here,we used Ca MKIV knockout(KO) neurons and mice to examine the function of Ca MKIV in Ca2+-stimulated intracellular signaling and animal behavior,respectively.Following NMDA receptor activation or membrane depolarization,the up-regulation of CREB(c AMP responsive element binding protein) and its target gene Bdnf(brain-derived neurotrophic factor) was intact in cortical neurons obtained from Ca MKIV KO mice.Ca MKIV KO mice displayed severe impairment in contextual fear memory but normal locomotor activity and anxiety level in the contextual training chamber.Although Ca MKIV KO mice showed normal memory in the standard passive avoidance task,they were defective in learning the temporal dissociative passive avoidance task.As indicated by the light/dark test and marble-burying test data,Ca MKIV KO mice showed less anxiety and normal perseveration.In the voluntary wheel-running test,Ca MKIV KO mice showed normal running time and distance but higher maximal running speed.Our results demonstrate the function of Ca MKIV in regulating different forms of fear memory,anxiety,and certain aspect of motor function.SONG ZiXiang CHEN Qi DING Qi ZHENG Fei LI ChengWei XU LePing WANG HongBing 2015Science China(Life Sciences)2015,58,1:6

12Development of nanoscale drug delivery systems of dihydroartemisinin for cancer therapy: A review显示文摘Dihydroartemisinin(DHA),a first-line antimalarial drug,has demonstrated great anticancer effects in many types of tumors,including liver cancer,glioblastoma,and pancreatic cancer.Due to its abilities to induce programmed cell death(PCD;apoptosis,autophagy and ferroptosis),inhibit tumor metastasis and angiogenesis,and modulate the tumor microenvironment,DHA could become an antineoplastic agent in the foreseeable future.However,the therapeutic efficacy of DHA is compromised owing to its inherent disadvantages,including poor stability,low aqueous solubility,and short plasma halflife.To overcome these drawbacks,nanoscale drug delivery systems(NDDSs),such as polymeric nanoparticles(NPs),liposomes,and metal-organic frameworks(MOFs),have been introduced to maximize the therapeutic efficacy of DHA in either single-drug or multidrug therapy.Based on the beneficial properties of NDDSs,including enhanced stability and solubility of the drug,prolonged circulation time and selective accumulation in tumors,the outcomes of DHA-loaded NDDSs for cancer therapy are significantly improved compared to those of free DHA.This reviewfirst summarizes the current understanding of the anticancer mechanisms of DHA and then provides an overview of DHA-including nanomedicines,aiming to provide inspiration for further application of DHA as an anticancer drug.Ka Hong Wong Donglin Yang Shanshan Chen Chengwei He Meiwan Chen 2022Asian Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences2022,17,4:3
13Voltage-gated sodium channel Nav1.5 promotes proliferation, migration and invasion of oral squamous cell carcinoma显示文摘The protein voltage-gated sodium channel Nav1.5 is highly upregulated in various types of cancer and, in general, promotes cancer cell invasiveness and metastatic progression. A previous study found that Nav1.5 was highly expressed in poorly differentiated oral squamous cell carci noma (OSCC). However, whether Nav1.5 enhances invasiveness and metastasis of OSCC are still unknown. In this study, we found that Nav1.5 was highly expressed in OSCC cell lines compared with normal oral keratinocyte HOK cell line by using western blot analysis. CCK-8 assay results revealed that downregulation of Nav1.5 expression by its specific siRNA reduced proliferation of OSCC HSC-3 cells. Moreover, transwell assay results showed Nav1.5 knockdown significantly inhibited migration and invasion of HSC-3 cells. Meanwhile, qRT-PCR and western blot analysis results showed that epidermal growth factor (EGF) induced Nav1.5 expression in a time-and dosedependent manner. In addition, EGF promoted proliferation, migration and invasion of HSC-3 cells. Importantly, the Nav1.5 inhibitor tetrodotoxin significantly inhibited the proliferation of HSC-3 cells and impeded the migration and invasion of HSC-3 cells. Furthermore, it was found that siRNAmediated knockdown of Nav1.5 also lessened the proliferation of HSC-3 cells and blocked the migration and invasion of HSC-3 cells. 14Ore Image Segmentation Method Based on U-Net and Watershed显示文摘Ore image segmentation is a key step in an ore grain size analysis based on image processing.The traditional segmentation methods do not deal with ore textures and shadows in ore images well Those methods often suffer from under-segmentation and over-segmentation.In this article,in order to solve the problem,an ore image segmentation method based on U-Net is proposed.We adjust the structure of U-Net to speed up the processing,and we modify the loss function to enhance the generalization of the model.After the collection of the ore image,we design the annotation standard and train the network with the annotated image.Finally,the marked watershed algorithm is used to segment the adhesion area.The experimental results show that the proposed method has the characteristics of fast speed,strong robustness and high precision.It has great practical value to the actual ore grain statistical task.Hui Li Chengwei Pan Ziyi Chen Aziguli Wulamu Alan Yang 2020Computers, Materials & Continua2020,,10:2

16A Methodology of Epidemiologic Study in the General Population Focusing on Food Allergy—China, 2020显示文摘Introduction:Adverse reactions to food(ARF)are a major worldwide public health and food safety problem.Among the various causes of ARF,food allergies(FA)are particularly serious as the immune response that is triggered can be fatal even at very low doses.However,the prevalence of ARF and FA in the general population in China is presently unclear.This study aims to determine the epidemiological characteristics and risk factors for ARF and FA,which can be a basis for estimating thresholds for major food allergens.Methods:This is a multicenter,cross-sectional,epidemiologic survey with a case-control study nested among a selected population in China.Random individuals were recruited using stratified cluster random sampling;ARF and FA were comprehensively assessed using modified EuroPrevall FA Project questionnaires as well as structured interviews,sensitization testing,and double-blind placebocontrolled food challenges(DBPCFC).Results:This method of epidemiologic study on ARF and FA was a pilot application in Jiangxi Province from January 2020;among the total 21,273 children and adults that completed the questionnaire,5.8%reported ARF and 4.3%reported FA.ARF were determined to be associated with age,gender,and region.Animal-derived foods were the dominant offending foods,especially shrimp,and skin symptoms were the most commonly reported ARF.Discussion:This is the first multi-center,largescale,epidemiologic study on ARF and FA using standardized methods,including DBPCFC,in the Chinese general population.This study presents an important approach to assessing ARF and FA,provides significant insights about the prevalence of ARF and FA,and facilitates support for updating the list of allergenic food labels:which will be essential for improving ARF prevention and management in China.Hua Feng Yan Chen Hongbing Chen Chengwei Liu Wei Zhou Lianglu Wang Yongning Wu 2022China CDC weekly2022,4,34:2
