1The levels, sources and reactivity of volatile organic compounds in a typical urban area of Northeast China显示文摘Air concentrations of volatile organic compounds(VOCs) were continually measured at a monitoring site in Shenyang from 20 August to 16 September 2017. The average concentrations of alkanes, alkenes, aromatics and carbonyls were 28.54, 6.30, 5.59 and9.78 ppbv, respectively. Seven sources were identified by the Positive Matrix Factorization model based on the measurement data of VOCs and CO. Vehicle exhaust contributed the most(36.15%) to the total propene-equivalent concentration of the measured VOCs,followed by combustion emission(16.92%), vegetation emission and secondary formation(14.33%), solvent usage(10.59%), petrochemical industry emission(9.89%), petrol evaporation(6.28%), and liquefied petroleum gas(LPG) usage(5.84%). Vehicle exhaust, solvent usage and combustion emission were found to be the top three VOC sources for O_3 formation potential, accounting for 34.52%, 16.55% and 11.94%, respectively. The diurnal variation of the total VOCs from each source could be well explained by their emission characteristics,e.g., the two peaks of VOC concentrations from LPG usage were in line with the cooking times for breakfast and lunch. Wind rose plots of the VOCs from each source could reveal the possible distribution of the sources around the monitoring site. 3Effect of a dual-function solar collector integrated with building on the cooling load of building in summer显示文摘As a building integrated solar thermal system,the dual-function solar collector integrated with building works for passive space heating in cold winter season,and for water heating in warm seasons.In this paper,the study is made on the dual-function solar collector integrated with building when it works in water heating mode with natural circulation.The coupled model of the collector and building's environment is established and validated.A numerical simulation is achieved to show the thermal effect of the novel system on the building in summer.By comparing with the cooling loads of the rooms with or without the novel collector in summer,the results show that when in summer,the novel solar system is available for serving hot water,and it does not have the summer overheating problem,and can even improve the thermal environment of its building slightly.JI Jie LUO ChengLong SUN Wei HE Wei JIANG QingYang 2010Chinese Science Bulletin2010,55,31:5

5An improved approach for the application of Trombe wall system to building construction with selective thermo-insulation faades显示文摘An improved Trombe wall is proposed to adapt to building construction with selective thermo-insula-tion faades (internal and cavity wall insulation, but not external wall insulation system). The case study is conducted in Xining, Capital city of Qinghai province in China, where the general building faades are mostly selective thermo-insulation faades to fight against the severe cold. A numerical analysis is undertaken to show the effects on the improvement of the building's thermal environment by comparing the improved Trombe wall system with the classical Trombe wall system. The operating efficiency of the improved Trombe wall can be up to 33.85%, an increase of 56%. 6Development of a polycaprolactone/poly(p-dioxanone)bioresorbable stent with mechanically self-reinforced structure for congenital heart disease treatment显示文摘Recent progress in bioresorbable stents(BRSs)has provided a promising alternative for treating coronary artery disease.However,there is still lack of BRSs with satisfied compression and degradation performance for pediatric patients with congenital heart disease,leading to suboptimal therapy effects.Here,we developed a mechanically self-reinforced composite bioresorbable stent(cBRS)for congenital heart disease application.The cBRS consisted of poly(p-dioxanone)monofilaments and polycaprolactone/poly(p-dioxanone)core-shell composite yarns.Interlacing points in cBRS structure were partially bonded,offering the cBRS with significantly higher compression force compared to typical braids and remained good compliance.The suitable degradation profile of the cBRS can possibly preserve vascular remodeling and healing process.In addition,the controllable structural organization provides a method to customize the performance of the cBRS by altering the proportion of different components in the braids.The in vivo results suggested the cBRS supported the vessel wall similar to that of metallic stent.In both abdominal aorta and iliac artery of porcine,cBRS was entirely endothelialized within 1 month and maintained target vessels with good patency in the 12-month follow-up.The in vivo degradation profile of the cBRS is consistent with static degradation results in vitro.It is also demonstrated that there is minimal impact of pulsatile pressure of blood flow and variation of radial force on the degradation rate of the cBRS.Moreover,the lumen of cBRS implanted vessels were enlarged after 6 months,and significantly larger than the vessels implanted with metallic stent in 12 months.Fan Zhao Jing Sun Wen Xue Fujun Wang Martin W.King Chenglong Yu Yongjie Jiao Kun Sun Lu Wang 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,9:3

8Serious BTEX pollution in rural area of the North China Plain during winter season显示文摘Atmospheric BTEX compounds(benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and xylenes) in a rural site of the North China Plain(NCP) were preliminarily investigated in winter, and the outdoor concentrations(25.8–236.0 μg/m3) were found to be much higher than those reported in urban regions. The pollution of BTEX inside a farmer's house was even more serious, with combined concentrations of 254.5–1552.9 μg/m3. Based on the ratio of benzene to toluene(1.17 ± 0.34) measured, the serious BTEX pollution in the rural site was mainly ascribed to domestic coal combustion for heating during the winter season. 9A high-performance bio-tissue imaging method using air flow-assisted desorption electrospray ionization coupled with a high-resolution mass spectrometer显示文摘Mass spectrometry imaging (MSI) technology can simultaneously obtain the spatial distribution of thousands of chemical compounds and has unique advantages compared to other techniques that allow mapping the surface of bio-tissue. Here, we combined an air flow-assisted desorption electrospray ionization (AFADESI) MSI device with a high-resolution mass spectrometer to optimize the system parameters and achieve more accurate spatial distribution characteristics for compounds of interest while investigating bio-tissue sections. The platform set-up, required instrumentation, sample pretreatment, parameter optimization and bio-tissue characterization are described and discussed.Finally, the parameter conditions that can provide optimal ionic intensity and enhanced resolution were confirmed. 10Tiaozhi Tongmai Granules reduce atherogenesis and promote the expression of ATP-binding cassette transporter A1 in rabbit atherosclerotic plaque macrophages and the liver显示文摘Objective:ATP-binding cassette transporter A1(ABCA1)is an integral membrane protein that plays a key role in cellular lipid metabolism,preventing the accumulation of lipids that contribute to the initiation and progression of atherosclerosis.Tiaozhi Tongmai Granules are a Chinese herbal compound that is capable of treating atherosclerosis.This study was designed to explore the potential pharmacological mechanism by which Tiaozhi Tongmai Granules protect against atherosclerosis.Methods:Forty-nine male New Zealand rabbits were randomly divided into seven groups:normal control group,normal diet;model groups 1 and 2:balloon injury and high-fat diet for 6 or 12 weeks;statin groups 1 and 2:balloon injury and high-fat diet plus atorvastatin for 6 or 12 weeks;and Chinese herb groups 1 and 2:balloon injury and high-fat diet plus Tiaozhi Tongmai Granules for 6 or12 weeks.The granules were administered at a dose of 1.14 g/kg/d,with atorvastatin(1.14 mg/kg/d)serving as positive control.Serum lipid profiles and liver function indices were measured.Atherogenesis was viewed after H&E staining and quantified by thickened intimal area percentage and maximal intimal thickness percentage.The ABCA1 protein expression in atherosclerotic plaque macrophages of the common carotid arteries(CCA),thoracic aortae(TA),and liver tissues were observed by immunohistochemical staining and evaluated using mean optical density(OD)value in macrophages and ABCA1-positive hepatocyte number.Results:Compared with model group 1 at week 6,Chinese herb group 1 and statin group 1 displayed significant reductions in total cholesterol(TC)(PZ0.027,0.012)and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C)(PZ0.039,0.028)levels,as well as marked increases in ABCA1-positive hepatocyte numbers(P all<0.001),and only statin group 1 displayed a markedly reducedmaximal intimal thickness percentage in the CCA(P Z 0.018).Compared with model group 2 at week 12,Chinese herb group 2 and statin group 2 all presented significant reductions in TC(P Z 0.011,0.003),LDL-C(P Z 0.017,0.010)and thickened intimal area percentage in the CCA(P Z 0.001,0.022),as well as prominent increases in the ABCA1 OD value of both the CCA(P Z 0.001,0.039)and TA(P Z 0.001,0.025)and positive hepatocyte number(P all<0.001).Chinese herb group 2 had a markedly reduced maximal intimal thickness percentage compared with model group 2(P Z 0.006)and a higher positive hepatocytes number than statin group 2(P Z 0.001).Conclusions:Tiaozhi Tongmai Granules appear to have an anti-atherogenic effect that is most likely mediated by simultaneously upregulating the protein expression of ABCA1 in rabbit atherosclerotic plaque macrophages and in the liver.Qing Sun Lu Zhang Shuwen Guo Min Zheng Dandan Yang Chenglong Zheng Jiani Wu Jian Liu Jingping Wu 2014Journal of Traditional Chinese Medical Sciences2014,1,1:2
11Autophagosome activity in macrophage for atherosclerotic plaques in ApoE^-/-mice enhanced by Tiaozhi Tongmai Granules显示文摘Objective:Atherosclerosis is the fundamental pathophysiologic component of cardiovascular disease,and Tiaozhi Tongmai Granules show great efficiency in the treatment of the disease.However,the mechanism of Tiaozhi Tongmai Granules is still unclear.In this study,we have combined experiments with network pharmacology to explore the antiatherosclerosis mechanism of Tiaozhi Tongmai Granules.Method:120 male ApoE/mice were randomly divided into three groups:the model group,Chinese herb group and Atorvastatin group.The model group,Atorvastatin group and Chinese herb group were fed with a high-fat diet,a high-fat diet plus atorvastatin(5.1 mg/kg/d)and a high-fat diet plus Tiaozhi Tongmai Granules(16.5 g/kg/d)for 16 weeks,respectively.Atherogenesis was identified by H&E staining.The colocalization of neutral lipid stain BODIPY and microtubule-associated protein 1 light chain 3(LC3)and the colocalization of BODIPY and lysosomal-associated membrane protein 1(LAMP1)within ApoE/mice aortic plaques were tested using fluorescence confocal microscopy and the Pearson’s coefficients were calculated.To further explore the anti-atherosclerosis mechanism of Tiaozhi Tongmai Granules,the network pharmacology was used to construct the herb-compound-target network.Results:The size of the aortic lipid plaque in the Chinese herb group and Atorvastatin group were smaller compared with the model group on the 16th week.Compared with the model group on the 16th week,the BODIPY and LC3 colocalization rate,the BODIPY and LAMP1 colocalization rate of the Chinese herb group and Atorvastatin group all presented significant increase in the aortic plaque(P<.001),showing that Tiaozhi Tongmai Granules could enhance autophagosome activity in the macrophage.In the herb-compound-target network,17 active compounds and 27 targets were obtained through literature searching and using LHRI&DAVID Bioinformatics.It was found that 23 targets were correlated with the macrophage.Some of them participated in macrophage inflammatory response,and the other targets could promote/inhibit phagocytosis of the macrophage.It was hypothesized that the active compounds of Tiaozhi Tongmai Granules were acting on these targets and having y the biological effects.Conclusions:In the progression stage of atherosclerosis,Tiaozhi Tongmai Granules can still make the macrophage have higher autophagosome activity,and play a role of anti-atherogenesis.Chenglong Zheng Qing Sun Lu Zhang Shuwen Guo Min Zheng Yan Tang Jiangong Wu Jiani Wu Wenchen Liu Zhaoduo Su Xi Chen 2015Journal of Traditional Chinese Medical Sciences2015,2,3:2
12A rapid and sensitive UPLC–MS/MS method for quantitative determination of arformoterol in rat plasma, lung and trachea tissues显示文摘A rapid and sensitive ultra-performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry(UPLC–MS/MS) method was developed and fully validated for determination of arformoterol in rat plasma, lung and trachea tissues. The chromatographic separation was performed on an Agilent XDB C8 column with gradient elution by using acetonitrile and 0.1% formic acid water. The method presented high sensitivity(LLOQ of 1.83 pg/mL for plasma and 3.90 pg/mL for lung and trachea tissue homogenates) and great linearity over the range of 1.83–458 pg/mL for plasma, 13.9–1560 pg/mL for lung and trachea tissue homogenates. No carry over effect and matrix effect were observed. The intra-and inter-day precision/accuracy were within ±15% at three quality control concentration levels. This robust method was successfully applied to the pharmacokinetic, lung and trachea tissue distribution study after inhalation administration of arformoterol tartrate inhalation solution(50 m g/kg). 13Visualizing the spatial distribution and alteration of metabolites in continuously cropped Salvia miltiorrhiza Bge using MALDI-MSI显示文摘Salvia miltiorrhiza Bge(SMB)has long been used in traditional Chinese medicine to treat cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases.Growing clinical usage has led to a huge demand for artificial planting of SMB.Thus,continuous cropping of SMB is an important challenge that needs to be addressed.Continuous cropping can alter the metabolic profile of plants,resulting in poor growth and low yield.In this study,we tried to image the spatial location and variation of endogenous metabolites in continuously cropped SMB using matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization mass spectrometry imaging(MALDIMSI).Spatially resolved expressions of tanshinones,salvianolic acids,polyamines,phenolic acids,amino acids,and oligosaccharides in normal and continuously cropped SMB roots were compared.The expressions of dihydrotanshinone Ⅰ,tanshinone Ⅱ A,dehydromiltirone,miltirone,dehydrotanshinone ⅡA,spermine,salvianolic acid B/E,tetrasaccharide,and pentasaccharide in continuously cropped SMB roots were much lower than those in normal roots.There was little difference in the expressions of caffeic acid and salvianolic acid A in normal and continuously cropped SMB roots.Ferulic acid was more widely distributed in xylem of normal SMB but strongly expressed in xylem,phloem,and cambium of continuously cropped SMB.The spatially resolved metabolite information enhances our understanding of the metabolic signature of continuously cropped SMB and also provides insights into the metabolic effects of continuous cropping in other plants.Chenglong Sun Li Cui Bingqian Zhou Xiao Wang Lanping Guo Wei Liu 2022Journal of Pharmaceutical Analysis2022,12,5:1

15Characteristics and anthropogenic sources of carbonyl sulfide in Beijing显示文摘Atmospheric mixing ratios of carbonyl sulfide(COS) in Beijing were intensively measured from March 2011 to June 2013. COS mixing ratios exhibited distinct seasonal variation, with a maximum average value of 849 ± 477 pptv in winter and a minimal value of 372 ± 115 pptv in summer. The seasonal variation of COS was mainly ascribed to the combined effects of vegetation uptake and anthropogenic emissions. Two types of significant linear correlations(R2> 0.66) were found between COS and CO during the periods from May to June and from October to March, with slopes(ΔCOS/ΔCO) of 0.72 and 0.14 pptv/ppbv, respectively. Based on the emission ratios of COS/CO from various sources, the dominant anthropogenic sources of COS in Beijing were found to be vehicle tire wear in summer and coal burning in winter. 16Artificial intelligence optimization and controllable slow-release iron sulfide realizes efficient separation of copper and arsenic in strongly acidic wastewater显示文摘Iron sulfide(FeS)is a promising material for separating copper and arsenic from strongly acidic wastewater due to its S^(2-)slow-release effect.However,uncertainties arise because of the constant changes in wastewater composition,affecting the selection of operating parameters and FeS types.In this study,the aging method was first used to prepare various controllable FeS nanoparticles to weaken the arsenic removal ability without affecting the copper removal.Orthogonal experiments were conducted,and the results identified the Cu/As ratio,H_(2)SO_(4) concentration,and FeS dosage as the three main factors influencing the separation efficiency.The backpropagation artificial neural network(BP-ANN)model was established to determine the relationship between the influencing factors and the separation efficiency.The correlation coefficient(R)of overall model was 0.9923 after optimizing using genetic algorithm(GA).The BP-GA model was also solved using GA under specific constraints,predicting the best solution for the separation process in real-time.The predicted results show that the high temperature and long aging time of FeS were necessary to gain high separation efficiency,and the maximum separation factor can reached 1,400.This study provides a suitable sulfurizing material and a set of methods and models with robust flexibility that can successfully predict the separation efficiency of copper and arsenic from highly acidic environments.Xingfei Zhang Chenglong Lu Jia Tian Liqiang Zeng Yufeng Wang Wei Sun Haisheng Han Jianhua Kang 2024Journal of Environmental Sciences2024,,5:0
17First results of the low energy ion spectrometer onboard a Chinese geosynchronous satellite显示文摘A Chinese geosynchronous satellite was launched on June 23,2020.It carried a plasma detection package to monitor the space environment around the orbit.Here we report the inflight performance of a low energy ion spectrometer(LEIS),one of the primary instruments in the plasma detection package,and its initial observations in flight.Benefiting from the state-of-the-art design of a top-hat electrostatic analyzer cooperated with angular scanning deflectors,three-dimensional measurement of ions in space with a large field of view of 360°×90°and a wide energy range from 50 eV to 25 keV per charge has been achieved.The differential energy flux spectra of ions around the orbit have shown clear signatures of surface charging and storm/substorm ion injections.The occurrence of surface charging could be caused by the lack of photoemission at the Earth's eclipse(near the midnight)or the storm energetic electron injection at the dawn sector.The present results demonstrated a good performance of the LEIS payload in flight for monitoring the space ion environment around the orbit.In situ measurements of the LEIS payload provide us an opportunity to understand the magnetospheric ion dynamics and forecast the associate space weather impacts.SHAN Xu MIAO Bin CAO Zhe SUN ZhenYu LI YiRen LIU Kai GUO XingYu QU SanBiao SU ZhenPeng SHEN ChengLong PAN ZongHao LI Xin HAO XinJun YANG XiaoPing TIAN Chao JIANG Yu LIU ShuBin AN Qi CHEN XiangJun WANG YuMing 2023Science China(Technological Sciences)2023,66,5:0
18Synthesis of N-doped carbon quantumn dots as lubricant additive to enhance the tribological behavioor f MoS_(2)nanofluid显示文摘In this study,a novel lubricant additive nitrogen-doped carbon quantum dot(N-CQD)nanoparticle was prepared by the solvothermal method.The synthesized spherical N-CQD nanoparticles in the diameter of about 10 nm had a graphene oxide(GO)-like structure with various oxygen(O)-and nitrogen(N)-containing functional groups.Then N-CQDs were added to MoS_(2)nanofluid,and the tribological properties for steel/steel friction pairs were evaluated using a pin-on-disk tribometer.Non-equilibrium molecular dynamics(NEMD)simulations for the friction system with MoS_(2)or MoS_(2)+N-CQD nanoparticles were also conducted.The results showed that friction processes with MoS_(2)+N-CQD nanofluids were under the mixed lubrication regime.And MoS_(2)nanofluid containing 0.4 wt%N-CQDs could achieve 30.4%and 31.0%reduction in the friction coefficient and wear rate,respectively,compared to those without N-CQDs.By analyzing the worn surface topography and chemical compositions,the excellent lubrication performance resulted from the formation of tribochemistry-induced tribofilm.The average thickness of tribofilm was about 13.9 nm,and it was composed of amorphous substances,ultrafine crystalline nanoparticles,and self-lubricating FeSO_(4)/Fe2(SO_(4))_(3).NEMD simulation results indicated the interaction between S atoms in MoS_(2)as well as these O-and N-containing functional groups in N-CQDs with steel surfaces enhanced the stability and strength of tribofilm.Thereby the metal surface was further protected from friction and wear.Jiaqi HE Jianlin SUN Junho CHOI Chenglong WANG Daoxin SU 2023Friction2023,11,3:0
19A generalized formula for two-dimensional diffusion of CO in graphene nanoslits with different Pt loadings显示文摘Catalytic performance of supported metal catalysts not only depends on the reactivity of metal,but also the adsorption and diffusion properties of gas molecules which are usually affected by many factors,such as temperature,pressure,properties of metal clusters and substrates,etc.To explore the impact of each of these macroscopic factors,we simulated the movement of CO molecules confined in graphene nanoslits with or without supported Pt nanoparticles.The results of molecular dynamics simulations show that the diffusion of gas molecules is accelerated with high temperature,low pressure or low surface-atom number of supported metals.Notably,the supported metal nanoparticles greatly affect the gas diffusion due to the adsorption of gas molecules.Furthermore,to bridge a quantitative relationship between microscopic simulation and macroscopic properties,a generalized formula is derived from the simulation data to calculate the diffusion coefficient.This work helps to advise the diffusion modulation of gas molecules via structural design of catalysts and regulation of reaction conditions.Chenglong Qiu Yinbin Wang Yuejin Li Xiang Sun Guilin Zhuang Zihao Yao Shengwei Deng Jianguo Wang 2020Green Energy & Environment2020,5,3:0
