3Co-seismic Faults and Geological Hazards and Incidence of Active Fault of Wenchuan Ms 8.0 Earthquake,Sichuan,China显示文摘There are two co-seismic faults which developed when the Wenchuan earthquake happened. One occurred along the active fault zone in the central Longmen Mts.and the other in the front of Longmen Mts.The length of which is more than 270 km and about 80 km respectively.The co-seismic fault shows a reverse flexure belt with strike of N45°-60°E in the ground,which caused uplift at its northwest side and subsidence at the southeast.The fault face dips to the northwest with a dip angle ranging from 50°to 60°.The vertical offset of the co-seismic fault ranges 2.5-3.0 m along the Yingxiu-Beichuan co-seismic fault,and 1.5-1.1 m along the Doujiangyan-Hanwang fault.Movement of the coseismic fault presents obvious segmented features along the active fault zone in central Longmen Mts. For instance,in the section from Yingxiu to Leigu town,thrust without evident slip occurred;while from Beichuan to Qingchuan,thrust and dextral strike-slip take place.Main movement along the front Longmen Mts.shows thrust without slip and segmented features.The area of earthquake intensity more thanⅨdegree and the distribution of secondary geological hazards occurred along the hanging wall of co-seismic faults,and were consistent with the area of aftershock,and its width is less than 40km from co-seismic faults in the hanging wall.The secondary geological hazards,collapses,landslides, debris flows et al.,concentrated in the hanging wall of co-seismic fault within 0-20 km from co-seismic fault.MA Yinsheng LONG Changxing TAN Chengxuan WANG Tao GONG Mingquan LIAO Chunting WU Manlu SHI Wei DU Jianjun PAN Feng 2009Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2009,83,4:7
4Nanometer lapping technology at high speed显示文摘In floating lapping with solid abrasives, the workpiece is taken as an isolated body. The forces that act on it are analyzed. A differential equation about the forces that act on it is set up, so the forces that act on it and its motion rule are received. Combining it with known lapping tool motion, the relative motion rule between the lapping tool and workpiece is determined too. According to the relative motion, the distribution of abrasives density is designed reasonably, which makes the lapping tool wear uniformly, which, in turn, avoids redressing the lapping tool, saves abra-sives, and increases machining accuracy. 5AN EXPERIMENTAL STUDY OF INFILTRATION AND EROSION UNDER SLOPE GRADIENTS AND VEGETAL COVERS显示文摘The effect of slope gradient and vegetal cover on soil infiltration and erosion were studied with field simulator. Results showed that infiltration decreases with slope gradients (especially for gradient less than 10°) and increases with vegetal covers, while soil erosion increases with slope gradients and decreases with vegetal covers. Fittlng the data by Philip’s infiltration equation it was found that in the equation, gravitational conductivity decreases with gradient and increases with vegetation, while diffusion decreases with vegetal cover and does not vary with slope gradient In the erosion process, the formation of a layer of thin water is crucial in dctermining the rainsplash and sheetwash. 8mTOR pathway regulates the differentiation of peripheral blood Th2/Treg cell subsets in patients with pemphigus vulgaris显示文摘Pemphigus vulgaris(PV)is a chronic and potentially life-threatening autoimmune blistering disease.Aberrant mTOR pathway activity is involved in many autoimmune diseases.This study investigated the correlation of mTOR pathway(PI3K/AKT/mTOR/p70S6K)activity with the loss of balance in T helper 2/regulatory T(Th2/Treg)cells in the peripheral blood of PV patients.CD4^(+)T cells were isolated from 15 PV patients and 15 healthy controls(HCs),the ratios of Th2/CD4^(+)T cells and Treg/CD4^(+)T cells,the activity of the mTOR pathway(PI3K/AKT/mTOR/p70S6K),the transcription factors and cytokines of Th2 and Treg cells were detected.Primary CD4^(+)T cells from PV patients were cultured under Th2-or Treg-polarizing conditions with or without rapamycin in vitro.We found that PV patients showed significantly elevated serum IL-4 when compared with HCs,and serum IL-4 level was positively correlated with the titer of anti-Dsg1/3 antibody and disease severity,while the serum TGF-βlevel was negatively correlated with the titer of anti-Dsg3 antibody and disease severity.Meanwhile,PV patients showed increased Th2/CD4^(+)T cell ratio;decreased Treg/CD4^(+)T cell ratio;elevated mRNA of PI3K,AKT,mTOR and protein of PI3K(P85),AKT,p-AKT(Ser473),mTOR,p-mTOR(Ser2448),p-p70S6K(Thr389),GATA3;reduced protein of forkhead box protein 3.Rapamycin inhibited Th2 cell differentiation and promoted Treg cell differentiation in vitro.These data suggest a close association between mTOR pathway activation and the loss of balance in Th2/Treg cells in peripheral blood of PV patients.Inhibiting mTORC1 can help restore the Th2/Treg balance.Kuan Lai Wenjing Zhang Songshan Li Zhiwen Zhang Shuangde Xie Meinian Xu Changxing Li Kang Zeng 2021Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2021,53,4:4

12AN EXPERIMENTAL STUDY OF SHEET EROSION IN GRANITIC REGION OF WUHUA COUNTY,GUANGDONG PROVINCE显示文摘The relationships between rainfall, runoff and erosion in South China granitic weathering red soil region were studied by using data collected from 7 experimental plots in Wuhua County, Guangdong Province. Results showed that when rainfall is less than 50 mm, small volumes of runoff were produced. Rainfall intensity might be the main factor in controlling runoff. When rainfall exceeds 50 mm, because of its large volume and high intensity, runoff and the produced amount of erosion increased with raimfall quickly. Analysis of the relationship bebeen runoff and erosion suggsted that runoff of 30 mm (corresponding to about 50 mm rainfall might be taken as a threshold at which wter on land surface was sufficient to start the larg amount of soil particles. Vegtation cover is very effective in protection soil from being eroded. 13Updating the models and uncertainty of mechanical parameters for rock tunnels using Bayesian inference显示文摘Rock mechanical parameters and their uncertainties are critical to rock stability analysis,engineering design,and safe construction in rock mechanics and engineering.The back analysis is widely adopted in rock engineering to determine the mechanical parameters of the surrounding rock mass,but this does not consider the uncertainty.This problem is addressed here by the proposed approach by developing a system of Bayesian inferences for updating mechanical parameters and their statistical properties using monitored field data,then integrating the monitored data,prior knowledge of geotechnical parameters,and a mechanical model of a rock tunnel using Markov chain Monte Carlo(MCMC)simulation.The proposed approach is illustrated by a circular tunnel with an analytical solution,which was then applied to an experimental tunnel in Goupitan Hydropower Station,China.The mechanical properties and strength parameters of the surrounding rock mass were modeled as random variables.The displacement was predicted with the aid of the parameters updated by Bayesian inferences and agreed closely with monitored displacements.It indicates that Bayesian inferences combined the monitored data into the tunnel model to update its parameters dynamically.Further study indicated that the performance of Bayesian inferences is improved greatly by regularly supplementing field monitoring data.Bayesian inference is a significant and new approach for determining the mechanical parameters of the surrounding rock mass in a tunnel model and contributes to safe construction in rock engineering.Hongbo Zhao Bingrui Chen Shaojun Li Zhen Li Changxing Zhu 2021Geoscience Frontiers2021,12,5:2
14Internet end-to-end delay dynamics显示文摘End-to-end delay is one of the most important characteristics of Internet end-to-end packet dynamics, which can be applied to quality of services (QoS) management, service level agreement (SLA) management, congestion control algorithm development, etc. Nonstationarity and nonlinearity are found by the analysis of various delay series measured from different links. The fact that different types of links have different degree of Self-Similarity is also obtained. By constructing appropriate network architecture and neural functions, functional networks can be used to model the Internet end-to-end nonlinear delay time series. Furthermore, by using adaptive parameter studying algorithm, the nonstationarity can also be well modeled. 15Silencing GRAS2 reduces fruit weight in tomato显示文摘GRAS family transcription factors are involved in multiple biological processes in plants.Here, we report that GRAS2 plays a vital role in regulating fruit weight in tomato(Solanum lycopersicum).We establish that the expression of GRAS2 was elevated in ovaries and maintained at a constant level in fertilized ovules.Reduction of GRAS2 expression in transgenic plants reduced fruit weight through modulating ovary growth and cell size.At the metabolic level, downregulation of GRAS2 decreased activities of the gibberellic acid biosynthesis and signal transduction pathways, leading to insufficient levels of active gibberellic acid during the initial ovary development of tomato.Moreover, genotypic diversity of GRAS2 was consistent with the molecular basis of fruit weight evolution, suggesting that GRAS2 contributes to the molecular basis of the evolution of fruit weight in tomato.Collectively, these findings enhance our understanding of GRAS2 functions, in fruit development of tomato, and demonstrate a strong association between the GRAS gene family and fruit development.Miao Li Xin Wang Changxing Li Hanxia Li Junhong Zhang Zhibiao Ye 2018Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2018,60,6:2
16Modeling of grout crack of rockbolt grouted system显示文摘This paper presents a numerical study on the pullout behavior of the rockbolt grouted system. Among the complicated failure modes of the rockbolt grouted system, the crack of the grout is concerned here. A trilinear cohesive zone model(CZM) is used to simulate the interfacial behavior of rockbolt–grout interface;and a plastic damaged model is adopted for the grout materials. The feasibility of the numerical method is verified by comparing the calculated results with the test observations. The numerical results indicate that two types of cracks of the grout materials can be identified as the inclined crack and the horizontal crack. The inclined crack forms firstly and then the horizontal crack. Both cracks can reduce the interfacial shear stress and thus reduce the load transfer efficiency. Further analysis indicates that the crack of the gout material can induce the obvious drops of load capacity, which is not a safe failure mode. 17Perfect quantum controlled teleportation via a novel threeparticle partially entangled channel显示文摘Recently Li et al. proposed special partially entangled states serving as quantum channel in quantum controlled teleportation, while there are some limitations in their scheme. Based on that, we present a possible improvement in this paper. We construct a novel three-particle partially entangled state which is suitable for perfect controlled teleportation. A simple quantum circuit is designed to obtain this state. We evaluate quantum controlled teleportation from three points of view: teleportation fidelity, success probability and the controller's power. Detailed calculations and simulation analyses show that the constructed state is a suitable channel for controlled teleportation of arbitrary qubits, unit teleportation fidelity and 100% success probability can be achieved.
