2Transcriptome profiling of the developing postnatal mouse testis using next-generation sequencing显示文摘Mammalian testis development is a complex and highly sophisticated process. To study the dynamic change of normal testis development at the transcriptional level, we investigated mouse testes at three postnatal ages: 6 days postnatal, 4 weeks old, and 10 weeks old, representing infant (PN1), juvenile (PN2), and adult (PN3) stages, respectively. Using ultra high-throughput RNA sequencing (RNA-seq) technology, we obtained 211 million reads with a length of 35 bp. We identified 18837 genes that were expressed in mouse testes, and found that genes expressed at the highest level were involved in spermatogenesis. The gene expression pattern in PN1 was distinct from that in PN2 and PN3, which indicates that spermatogenesis has commenced in PN2. We analyzed a large number of genes related to spermatogenesis and somatic development of the testis, which play important roles at different developmental stages. We also found that the MAPK, Hedgehog, and Wnt signaling pathways were significantly involved at different developmental stages. These findings further our understanding of the molecular mechanisms that regulate testis development. 4Initiation and Development of the Late Cenozoic Uplift of Daluo Mountains,Northeastern Margin of the Tibetan Plateau显示文摘Daluo Mountains lie at front of the arcuate tectonic belt at the northeastern margin of the Tibetan Plateau,and are the landform boundary zone between the active Tibetan Plateau and the stable North China Craton.Studying of the late Cenozoic uplift evolution of Daluo Mountains is important for understanding the expansion mechanism of the northeastern margin of the Tibetan Plateau and its influence on the western North China Craton.In this study,the late Cenozoic uplift of Daluo Mountains is constructed from the development of the late Cenozoic alluvial fan around Daluo Mountains.The entire sedimentary sequence and framework of the fan was revealed by the newly obtained drilling core data.The cosmogenic nuclide,optically stimulated luminescence,and detrital zircon U-Pb dating results provide new evidences for discussion about the initial timing of the late Cenozoic uplift of Daluo Mountains and the key stages of uplift during the Pleistocene.The late Cenozoic alluvial fan at front of Daluo Mountains overlies a set of fluvial-facies strata;therefore,development of the alluvial-fan marks the start of late Cenozoic uplift of Daluo Mountains.The timing of this event can be constrained to~4.64 Ma.Two extensive gravel layers(dated to ca.0.76–0.6 Ma and~0.05 Ma)developed during the Pleistocene,indicating two episodes of considerable uplift.This study provides a new time scale for the uplift and expansion of the arcuate tectonic belt at the northeastern margin of the Tibetan Plateau.KOU Linlin DONG Xiaopeng LI Zhenhong CUI Jiawei MA Zhaoying LI Hailong 2022Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2022,96,6:2
5Spatiotemporal evolution of C3/C4 vegetation and its controlling factors in southern China since the last glacial maximum显示文摘To date, few research have been reported on the evolution of C3/C4 vegetation in southern China, and the main mechanism influencing the evolution of C3/C4 vegetation is unclear. That makes it difficult for researchers to understand the competition mechanism of C3 and C4 plants under different climate environments and its relationship with the climate factors. It is also not conducive for researchers to assess the influence of future climate change on regional C3/C4 vegetation. Exactly, C3/C4 vegetation change in the regional-scale will have a significant impact on the global carbon cycle and agricultural production.Therefore, it is especially important to reconstruct the evolutionary history of C3/C4 vegetation in southern China and clarify the influencing mechanism of climate change. In this study, we systematically analyzed stable carbon isotope(δ13 C) of the longchain n-alkanes in sediment samples from eight lakes and four peat profiles in southern China, to reconstruct the spatiotemporal evolution of C3/C4 vegetation in these regions since the Last Glacial Maximum(LGM) and to investigate the climate factors that affect the C4 plant abundance change in the research area. The integrated long-chain n-alkane(C27–C33) stable carbon isotope results of samples from Zhanjiang Huguangyan Maar Lake, Xingyun Lake, Lugu Lake and Dingnan peat showed that, from the LGM to the Early Holocene, C4 plant relative abundance exhibited a gradually increasing trend from 21% to 34%. In the Middle Holocene, the C4 plant abundance significantly declined and reached a lowest value of 10%. In space, the C4 plant abundance generally exhibited a gradually declining trend from south to north in the LGM and the Early Holocene, while it showed an opposite trend in the Holocene Climate Optimum(6.0 cal ka BP). It reflected that the main influencing factor on C4 plants spatial distribution was changing from temperature to precipitation. This study indicated that temperature was the dominant factor affecting C4 plant distribution in southern China, however, when the temperature condition was appropriate, an increase in precipitation(especially more spring precipitation) would reduce the competitive advantages of C4 plants. Therefore, the combination of temperature and seasonal precipitation was the important factor that determines the C3/C4 vegetation proportion change in the southern China. 6Instability characteristics of the cracked roof rock beam under shallow mining conditions显示文摘To establish the movement relationship for the roof breaking under shallow mining conditions, the mechanical model of the roof rock beam was built, then the structure instability process of the roof rock beam was analyzed. The changing criterion of the vertical displacement was established and the relationship between the deflection and the rotary motion of roof block was determined. Regarding a mining face in Shangwan Mine, the responsing laws of the deflection and horizontal thrust of the roof rock beam were obtained through FLAC3D numerical analysis. The results show that the structure instability of the cracked roof rock beam depends on the interaction between the vertical load and the horizontal thrust.For the roof rock beam, when the vertical load keeps constant, the horizontal thrust fluctuating rises with increasing deflection. 11Okra‑Like Multichannel TiO@NC Fibers Membrane with Spatial and Chemical Restriction on Shuttle‑Effect for Lithium–Sulfur Batteries显示文摘It is especially important to coordinately design the structure and composition of the host in lithium–sulfur batteries(LSBs)for improving its physicochemical adsorption and conversion of lithium polysulfide,which can alleviate the harmful shuttle effect.Herein,a self-supporting multichannel nitrogen-doped carbon fibers membrane embedded with TiO nanoparticles(TiO@NC)was constructed as the electrode for LSBs.The inner channels and the embedded TiO nanoparticles offer spatial confinement and chemical binding for polysulfides,respectively.Moreover,the TiO nanoparticles have abundant oxygen vacancies that promote the conversion of polysulfides.In addition,the nitrogen-doped carbon skeleton can not only serve as highly conductive transportation paths for electrons,but also integrate with the inner channels to sustain the morphology and bear volume expansion during cycling processes.Therefore,the fabricated self-supporting quadruple-channel TiO@NC ultrathin fibers electrode exhibits a high initial specific capacity of 1342.8 mAh g^(-1)at 0.5 C and high-rate capability of 505.8 mAh g^(-1)at 4.0 C.In addition,it maintains 696.0 mAh g^(-1)over 500 cycles with only 0.059%capacity decay per cycle at the high current density of 2.0 C.The multichannel configuration combined with TiO nanoparticles provides a synergetic design strategy for fabricating high-performance electrodes in LSBs.Shuai Li Jingchong Liu Linlin Ma Li‑Juan Yu Lanlan Hou Dianming Li Songwei Gao Guichu Yue Zhimin Cui NüWang Xiaoxian Zhao Yong Zhao 2023Advanced Fiber Materials2023,5,1:1

15Design and development of a mitochondrial-targeted photosensitizer for two-photon fluorescence imaging and photodynamic therapy显示文摘Mitochondria are well-acknowledged as ideal targets for tumor therapy due to their important role in energy supply and cellular signal regulation.Mitochondria-specific photosensitizers have been reported to be critical for inducing cell apoptosis.Two-photon fluorescence imaging provides a new technique for delineating biological structures and activities in deep tissues.Herein,we developed a new aggregation-induced emission(AIE)active photosensitizer by attaching a pyridinium group for mitochondrial target-ing.The rationally designed photosensitizer(TTTP)exhibited excellent photophysical properties,good biocompatibility,reactive oxygen species(ROS)stimulation ability,anticancer efficacy,and two-photon imaging properties.TTTP was highly taken up by cells and accumulated specifically in mitochondria but was selectively cytotoxic to cancer cells.Under light irradiation,the generation of ROS was significantly boosted,leading to actively induced apoptosis.The in vivo tumor photodynamic therapeutic efficacy of TTTP showed significant inhibition of tumor growth.Furthermore,the underlying mechanism of TTTP tu-mor suppression revealed that the apoptosis agonist Bax was markedly up-regulated while the antagonist Bcl-xL was down-regulated.This research provides a potential mitochondrial-targeted phototherapeutic agent for effective therapy and two-photon fluorescence imaging.Yu Chen Sheng Zhang Tianjiao Cheng Wei Lin Linlin Mao Zhonghui Chen Yang Yang Hanqing Huang Jinqiu Li Zhiyong Ke Zhong-Kai Cui 2023Journal of Materials Science & Technology2023,,10:0
16Pronounced interfacial interaction in icosahedral Au@C_(60) core-shell nanostructure for boosting direct plasmonic photocatalysis under alkaline condition显示文摘The unique hot carrier-driven direct plasmonic photocatalysis of coinage metal nanomaterials(NMs)via energetic localized surface plasmon resonance(LSPR)in visible-light region has been explored in recent years.However,the low photoinduced electron transfer efficiency and insufficient separation of electronhole pairs would severely preclude their widespread practical applications.Herein,we demonstrate an interesting plasmonic photocatalyst based on the construction of icosahedral(Ih)Au@C_(60) core-shell NMs,taking advantage of specific delocalizedπelectrons structure of a tight C_(60) shell and enhanced LSPR property of Ih Au core.Then,the pronounced interfacial interaction at junction region endows the obtained Au@C_(60) NMs with an outstanding photoinduced hot carrier-transmission during photocatalytic reaction,facilitating a remarkably higher(1.89 times)photocatalytic activity toward visible-light driven degradation of crystal violet(CV)dyes,as compared to bare Au NMs.Impressively,the photocatalytic activity of Ih Au@C_(60) NMs can be effectively optimized by changing the p H value of reaction solution,with the kinetic rate constant reaching the maximum value of 0.179 min^(-1) in pH011.4 solution,while 0.005 min^(-1) at pH03.0.Moreover,due to the protection of a tight C_(60) shell,the Ih Au@C_(60) NMs also possess excellent photocatalytic stability/reusability in recycling runs,holding great potential for the design of robust and high-performance plasmonic photocatalysts in repeated practical applications.Yue Tian Qingqiang Cui Linlin Xu Anxin Jiao Shuang Li Xuelin Wang Ming Chen 2021Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,35:0
17High-Order Local Discontinuous Galerkin Method with Multi-Resolution WENO Limiter for Navier-Stokes Equations on Triangular Meshes显示文摘In this paper,a new multi-resolution weighted essentially non-oscillatory(MR-WENO)limiter for high-order local discontinuous Galerkin(LDG)method is designed for solving Navier-Stokes equations on triangular meshes.This MR-WENO limiter is a new extension of the finite volume MR-WENO schemes.Such new limiter uses information of the LDG solution essentially only within the troubled cell itself,to build a sequence of hierarchical L^(2)projection polynomials from zeroth degree to the highest degree of the LDGmethod.As an example,a third-order LDGmethod with associated same orderMR-WENO limiter has been developed in this paper,which could maintain the original order of accuracy in smooth regions and could simultaneously suppress spurious oscillations near strong shocks or contact discontinuities.The linear weights of such new MR-WENO limiter can be any positive numbers on condition that their summation is one.This is the first time that a series of different degree polynomials within the troubled cell are applied in a WENO-type fashion to modify the freedom of degrees of the LDG solutions in the troubled cell.This MR-WENO limiter is very simple to construct,and can be easily implemented to arbitrary high-order accuracy and in higher dimensions on unstructured meshes.Such spatial reconstruction methodology improves the robustness in the numerical simulation on the same compact spatial stencil of the original LDG methods on triangular meshes.Some classical viscous examples are given to show the good performance of this third-order LDG method with associated MR-WENO limiter.Yizhou Lu Jun Zhu Shengzhu Cui Zhenming Wang Linlin Tian Ning Zhao 2023Communications in Computational Physics2023,33,5:0
18Palynological Evidence of Late Pleistocene Soft-sediment Deformation Event in the Northeastern Margin of the Tibetan Plateau显示文摘The northeastern margin of the Tibetan Plateau is the youngest part of the Tibetan Plateau where tectonic activity is intense and climate change is complex.In this study,combined with field investigations,we explored accelerator mass spectrometry 14C and optically stimulated luminescence dating and palynological analysis of the sedimentary sequence in the Qingshuihe Basin to explain the origin of soft-sediment deformation layer.Dating and palynological results from the Sanchahe section in the basin revealed a detailed history of vegetation variation and associated climate change from~18 to~5 ka BP.The results indicate that the permafrost developed at~18–11.7 ka BP,and the soft-sediment deformation structures formed at~11.7–5 ka BP.Together with the characteristics of the deformation(meter-scale,continuous symmetrical wave)and paleoclimate,we suggest that the soft-sediment deformation layer in the late Pleistocene was cryoturbated under climatic conditions.The discovery of a series of cryoturbations in the Qingshuihe Basin has further enriched the regional distribution of periglacial phenomena in the west of the Ordos Plateau,expanded the distribution range of periglacial phenomena,and provided evidence for exploring the temporal and spatial changes in permafrost in northern China at the end of the late Pleistocene.WEI Lijie LI Zhenhong DONG Xiaopeng CUI Jiawei HUANG Ting KOU Linlin 2023Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2023,97,3:0

20Centennial-scale monsoon collapses during Marine Isotope Stage(MIS)7e detected in a northern Chinese stalagmite record显示文摘Occurrence or absence of centennial-scale climatic variability during Marine Isotope Stage(MIS)7e,the first peak interval of the Penultimate Interglacial,remains ambiguous due to the limited available high-resolved records.Here,we present a decadal-resolved stalagmiteδ^(18)O record from northern China spanning from 242.3 to 236.8 ka BP,covering MIS7e.The composite KLSδ^(18)O record,integrating this study with the previous record in the same cave,shows a descending trend from TerminationⅢto MIS7e,which follows the increasing Northern Hemisphere summer insolation(NHSI).This observation further emphasizes the important influence of NHSI on the glacial/interglacial transition.There are more large-amplitude,millennial-to centennial-scale variability occurring during TerminationⅢcompared with MIS7e,implying that ice-sheet decay potentially plays an important role in climatic excursions.Four centennial-scale summer monsoon collapses,peaking at~242.1,~240.8,~239.3 and~238.2 ka BP,are detected in our new record,indicating the pervasiveness of the intra-interglacial climatic instability.Given the lack of solar activity and freshwater outbursts data during MIS7e,it is not possible to conclude about the drivers of the identified abrupt climatic anomalous.Following the dynamic mechanisms of sub-millennial climatic anomalous during early Holocene,we tentatively propose that slowdown of the meridional overturning circulation caused by freshwater fluxes into North Atlantic and/or attenuated solar irradiance is the potential forcing for the abrupt climate events within MIS7e.Additionally,attenuated solar irradiance could also result in climatic anomalies through low-latitude processes.Wuhui DUAN Ming TAN Lisheng WANG Xuefeng WANG Zhibang MA Linlin CUI Zhengyi XIAO 2023Science China Earth Sciences2023,66,12:0
