1Insight-HXMT observations of the first binary neutron star merger GW170817显示文摘Finding the electromagnetic(EM) counterpart of binary compact star merger, especially the binary neutron star(BNS) merger,is critically important for gravitational wave(GW) astronomy, cosmology and fundamental physics. On Aug. 17, 2017,Advanced LIGO and Fermi/GBM independently triggered the first BNS merger, GW170817, and its high energy EM counterpart,GRB 170817 A, respectively, resulting in a global observation campaign covering gamma-ray, X-ray, UV, optical, IR, radio as well as neutrinos. The High Energy X-ray telescope(HE) onboard Insight-HXMT(Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope) is the unique high-energy gamma-ray telescope that monitored the entire GW localization area and especially the optical counterpart(SSS17 a/AT2017 gfo) with very large collection area(~1000 cm^2) and microsecond time resolution in 0.2-5 MeV. In addition,Insight-HXMT quickly implemented a Target of Opportunity(ToO) observation to scan the GW localization area for potential X-ray emission from the GW source. Although Insight-HXMT did not detect any significant high energy(0.2-5 MeV) radiation from GW170817, its observation helped to confirm the unexpected weak and soft nature of GRB 170817 A. Meanwhile,Insight-HXMT/HE provides one of the most stringent constraints(~10^(-7) to 10^(-6) erg/cm^2/s) for both GRB170817 A and any other possible precursor or extended emissions in 0.2-5 MeV, which help us to better understand the properties of EM radiation from this BNS merger. 3Enhanced hydrogen evolution reaction over molybdenum carbide nanoparticles confined inside single-walled carbon nanotubes显示文摘Carbon nanotubes(CNTs) have shown as unique nanoreactors to tune the catalytic activity of confined nano-catalysts. Here we report that the catalytic performance of molybdenum carbide nanoparticles(MoC_x NPs) for the hydrogen evolution reaction(HER) process can be enhanced by encapsulation within single-walled carbon nanotubes(SWNTs) with a diameter of 1–2 nm. The catalyst with MoC_x NPs located on the interior surface of SWNTs(MoCx@SWNTs) exhibits a lower onset over-potential and a smaller Tafel slope than the one with MoC_x NPs attached on the exterior surface(MoCx/SWNTs). This is likely attributed to the much smaller particle size and the more reduced states of the confined MoC_x NPs, as well as the larger specific surface area of MoCx@SWNTs compared with Mo Cx/SWNTs. In addition, the electronic structure of the confined MoC_x NPs might be modified by the confinement effects of SWNTs, and hence the adsorption free energy of H atoms on the confined MoC_x NPs, which could also contribute to their higher performance. 4Mycobacterium tuberculosis Mce2E suppresses the macrophage innate immune response and promotes epithelial cell proliferation显示文摘The intracellular pathogen Mycobacterium tuberculosis(Mtb)can survive in the host and cause disease by interfering with a variety of cellular functions.The mammalian cell entry 2(mce2)operon of Mtb has been shown to contribute to tuberculosis pathogenicity.However,little is known about the regulatory roles of Mtb Mce2 family proteins towards host cellular functions.Here we show that the Mce2 family protein Mce2E suppressed the macrophage innate immune response and promoted epithelial cell proliferation.Mce2E inhibited activation of the extracellular signal-regulated kinase(ERK)and Jun N-terminal kinase(JNK)mitogen-activated protein kinase(MAPK)signaling pathways in a non-canonical D motif(a MAPK-docking motif)-dependent manner,leading to reduced expression of TNF and IL-6 in macrophages.Furthermore,Mce2E promoted proliferation of human lung epithelium-derived lung adenoma A549 cells by inhibiting K48-linked polyubiquitination of eEF1A1 in aβstrand region-dependent manner.In summary,Mce2E is a novel multifunctional Mtb virulence factor that regulates host cellular functions in a niche-dependent manner.Our data suggest a potential novel target for TB therapy.Lihua Qiang Jing Wang Yong Zhang Pupu Ge Qiyao Chai Bingxi Li Yi Shi Lingqiang Zhang George Fu Gao Cui Hua Liu 2019Cellular & Molecular Immunology2019,16,4:7
5Fabrication of metal nanoclusters on graphene grown on Ru(0001)显示文摘Monolayer graphene was epitaxially grown on Ru(0001) through exposure of the Ru(0001) to ethylene at room temperature followed by annealing in ultrahigh vacuum at elevated temperatures. The resulting graphene structures were studied by scanning tunneling microscopy (STM), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), and ultraviolet photoelectron spectroscopy (UPS). The graphene/Ru(0001) surface was used as a periodic template for growth of metal nanoclusters. 6Hepatitis B Immunoprophylactic Failure and Characteristics of the Hepatitis B Virus Gene in Mother-Infant Pairs in Parts of China显示文摘Objective To determine the hepatitis B immunoprophylactic failure rate in infants born to hepatitis B virus(HBV) infected mothers and to characterize HBV genes. Methods HBV-serological testing was conducted for pregnant women and infants. The complete genomes of 30 HBV isolates were sequenced, and genetic characteristics were analyzed using MEGA 5 software. Results The immunoprophylactic failure rate for infants who had completed the scheduled hepatitis B vaccination program was 5.76%(32/556). High sequence homology(99.8%-100%) was observed in 8 of the 10 mother-infant pairs. We identified 19 subgenotype C2 strains, 9 subgenotype B2 strains, and 2 subgenotype C1 strains. Three serotypes were detected: adr(19/30), adw(9/30), and ayw(2/30). The frequency of amino acid mutation of the ‘a' determinant region was 16.67%(5/30), including that of Q129 H, F134 Y, S136 Y, and G145 E. We detected 67 amino acid mutations in the basal core promoter, precore, and core regions of the genome. Conclusion The immunoprophylactic failure rate in infants born to HBV-infected mothers is low in the regions of China examined during this study. 7The deubiquitinase OTUD1 inhibits colonic inflammation by suppressing RIPK1-mediated NF-κB signaling显示文摘The E3 ubiquitin ligase(E3)-mediated ubiquitination and deubiquitinase(DUB)-mediated deubiquitination processes are closely associated with the occurrence and development of colonic inflammation.Ovarian tumor deubiquitinase 1(OTUD1)is involved in immunoregulatory functions linked to infectious diseases.However,the effect of OTUD1 on intestinal immune responses during colonic inflammatory disorders such as inflammatory bowel disease(IBD)remains unclear.Here,we show that loss of OTUD1 in mice contributes to the pathogenesis of dextran sulfate sodium(DSS)-induced colitis via excessive release of proinflammatory cytokines.In addition,bone marrow transplantation experiments revealed that OTUD1 in hematopoietic cells plays a dominant role in protection against colitis.Mechanistically,OTUD1 physically interacts with receptor-interacting serine/threonine-protein kinase 1(RIPK1)and selectively cleaves K63-linked polyubiquitin chains from RIPK1 to inhibit the recruitment of NF-κB essential modulator(NEMO).Moreover,the expression of OTUD1 in mucosa samples from ulcerative colitis(UC)patients was lower than that in mucosa samples from healthy controls.Furthermore,we demonstrate that the UC-associated OTUD1 G430V mutation abolishes the ability of OTUD1 to inhibit RIPK1-mediated NF-κB activation and intestinal inflammation.Taken together,our study unveils a previously unexplored role of OTUD1 in moderating intestinal inflammation by inhibiting RIPK1-mediated NF-κB activation,suggesting that the OTUD1-RIPK1 axis could be a potential target for the treatment of IBD.Bo Wu Lihua Qiang Yong Zhang Yesheng Fu Mengyuan Zhao Zehui Lei Zhe Lu Yan-Ge Wei Hongmiao Dai Yingwei Ge Mingqiu Liu Xuemei Zhou Zhiqiang Peng Hongchang Li Chun-Ping Cui Jing Wang Hui Zheng Cui Hua Liu Lingqiang Zhang 2022Cellular & Molecular Immunology2022,19,2:3

9Utilization threshold of surface water and groundwater based on the system optimization of crop planting structure显示文摘Based on the diversity of the agricultural system, this research calculates the planting structures of rice, maize and soybean considering the optimal economic-social-ecological aspects. Then, based on the uncertainty and randomness of the water resources system,the interval two-stage stochastic programming method,which introduces the uncertainty of the interval number, is used to calculate the groundwater exploitation and the use efficiency of surface water. The method considers the minimum cost of water as the objective of the uncertainty model for surface water and groundwater joint scheduling optimization for different planting structures. Finally, by calculating harmonious entropy, the optimal exploitation utilization interval of surface water and groundwater is determined for optimal cultivation in the Sanjiang Plain.The optimal matching of the planting structure under the economic system is suitable when the mining ratio of the surface is in 44.13%–45.45% and the exploitation utilization of groundwater is in 54.82%–66.86%, the optimal planting structure under the social system is suitable when surface water mining ratio is in 47.84%–48.04% and the groundwater exploitation threshold is in 67.07%–72.00%. 10Overview to the Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope (Insight-HXMT) Satellite显示文摘As China’s first X-ray astronomical satellite, the Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope (HXMT), which was dubbed as Insight-HXMT after the launch on June 15, 2017, is a wide-band(1-250 ke V) slat-collimator-based X-ray astronomy satellite with the capability of all-sky monitoring in 0.2-3 Me V. 12Occurrence, variations, and risk assessment of neonicotinoid insecticides in Harbin section of the Songhua River, northeast China显示文摘Neonicotinoid insecticides(NNIs)have been intensively used and exploited,resulting in their presence and accumulation in multiple environmental media.We herein investigated the current levels of eight major NNIs in the Harbin section of the Songhua River in northeast China,providing the first systematic report on NNIs in this region.At least four NNIs in water and three in sediment were detected,with total concentrations ranging from 30.8 to 135 ng L^(-1) and from 0.61 to 14.7 ng g^(-1) dw,respectively.Larger spatial variations in surface water NNIs concentrations were observed in tributary than mainstream(p<0.05)due to the intensive human activities(e.g.,horticulture,urban landscaping,and household pet flea control)and the discharge of wastewater from many treatment plants.There was a significant positive correlation(p<0.05)between the concentrations of residual imidacloprid(IMI),clothianidin(CLO),and S4NNIs in the sediment and total organic carbon(TOC).Due to its high solubility and low octanol-water partition coefficient(Kow),the sediment-water exchange behavior shows that NNIs in sediments can re-enter into the water body.Human exposure risk was assessed using the relative potency factor(RPF),which showed that infants have the highest exposure risk(estimated daily intake(SIMIeq EDI):31.9 ng kg^(-1) bw$d^(-1)).The concentration thresholds of NNIs for aquatic organisms in the Harbin section of the Songhua River were determined using the species sensitivity distribution(SSD)approach,resulting in a value of 355 ng L^(-1) for acute hazardous concentration for 5%of species(HC5)and 165 ng L^(-1) for chronic HC5.Aquatic organisms at low trophic levels were more vulnerable to potential harm from NNIs.Zhikun Liu Song Cui Leiming Zhang Zulin Zhang Rupert Hough Qiang Fu Yi-Fan Li Lihui An Mingzhi Huang Kunyang Li Yuxin Ke Fuxiang Zhang 2021Environmental Science and Ecotechnology2021,,4:2
13Respiratory syncytial virus infection in immunocompetent and immunocompromised murine显示文摘The purpose of this study is to distinguish respiratory syncytial virus ( RSV) infection and immunology between immunocompetent and immunocompromised murine and to explore immune mechanism of RSV infection. At various time points after RSV infection of BALB/c mice and nude mice, pulmonary viral titers were assayed, RSV antigen was tested by direct immune-fluorescent assay and immu nohistochemistry. Pulmonary mRNA expressions of Toll like receptor (TLR)2 and TLR4 were assayed by RT-PCR. CD4+ cells and CD8+ cells in peripheral blood were examined by flow cytometry and plasma total IgE was assayed by ELISA. Leukocytes in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) and pulmonary histology were identified to reflect airway inflammation. It was found that RSV titers of both mice peaked on the 3rd day post infection with a much higher level of viral titer in nude mice than in BALB/c mice and a longer viral duration in nude mice (over 9 days post infection) than in BALB/c mice (6 days post infection). RSV infection induced higher viral antigen expression in nude mice (0.267±0.045) than in BALB/c mice (0.168±0.031). RSV infection enhanced pulmonary TLR4 expression of BALB/c mice (51.96%±11.34%) and nude mice (48.96%±12.35%) compared with each control (34.04%±10.06% and 32.37%±9.87% respectively). CD4+ peripheral blood cells increased in RSV infected BALB/c mice (66.51%±2.09%) compared with the control BALB/c mice (51.63%±5.90%), and CD4+ cells and CD8+ cells were deficient in nude mice. RSV infection increased plasma total IgE in both mice, and BALB/c mice had a larger amount of IgE on the 7th day post infection (9.02 ng/ml±2.90 ng/ml) and on the 14th day post infection (12.76 ng/ml±4.15 ng/ml) than corresponding nude mice (3.72 ng/ml±1.06 ng/ml and 7.62 ng/ml±3.08 ng/ml respectively on the 7th and 14th day post infection). RSV infected nude mice had more severe airway inflammation than infected BALB/c mice. It is concluded that BALB/c mice and nude mice presented similar RSV infectious characteristics. 14Dynamic observation of in-plane h-BN/graphene heterostructures growth on Ni(lll)显示文摘The lateraI incorporation of graphene and hexagonal boron nitride(h-BN)onto a substrate surface creates irvplane h-BN/graphene heterostructures,which have promising applications in novel two-dimensional electronic and photoelectronic devices.The quality of h-BN/graphene domain boundaries depends on their orientation,which is crucial for device performances.Here,the heteroepitaxial growth of graphene along the edges of h-BN domains on Ni(111)surfaces as well as the growth dynamics of h-BN using chemical vapor deposit!on(CVD)are in situ investigated by surface imaging measurements.The nucieating seed effect of h-BN has been revealed,which con tributes to the single orie ntation of heterostructures with epitaxial stitch i ng.Further,the growth of h-BN prior to that of graphene is essential to obtain high-quality in-plane h-BN/graphene heterostructures on Ni(111).The“compact to fractal”shape transition of h-BN domains appears with the increasing surface concentration of the growth blocks,suggesting that the dynamic growth mechanism follows diffusion-limited aggregation(DLA)but not reaction・limited aggregation(RLA).Our results provide in sights into the syn thesis of well-defi ned h-BN/graphene heterostructures and deep un derstanding of the growth dynamics of h-BN on metal surfaces.Wei Wei Jiaqi Pan Chanan Euaruksakul Yang Yang Yi Cui Qiang Fu Xinhe Bao 2020Nano Research2020,13,7:2

17Modeling and flapping vibration suppression of a novel tailless flapping wing micro air vehicle显示文摘This paper establishes and analyzes a high-fidelity nonlinear time-periodic dynamic model and the corresponding state observer for flapping vibration suppression of a novel tailless Flapping Wing Micro Air Vehicle(FWMAV),named NPU-Tinybird.Firstly,a complete modeling of NPU-Tinybird is determined,including the aerodynamic model based on the quasi-steady method,the kinematic and dynamic model about the mechanism of flapping and attitude control,combined with the single rigid body dynamic model.Based on this,a linearized longitudinal pitch dynamic cycle-averaged model is obtained and analyzed through the methods of neural network fitting and system identification,preparing for the design of flapping vibration suppression observer.Flapping vibration is an inherent property of the tailless FWMAV,which arises from the influence of time-periodic aerodynamic forces and moments.It can be captured by attitude and position sensors on the plane,which impairs the flight performance and efficiency of flight controller and actuators.To deal with this problem,a novel state observer for flapping vibration suppression is designed.A robust optimal controller based on the linear quadratic theory is also designed to stabilize the closed-loop system.Simulation results are given to verify the performance of the observer,including the closed loop responses combined with robust optimal controller,the comparison of different parameters of observer and the comparison with several classic methods,such as Kalman filter,H-infinity filter and low-pass filter,which prove that the novel observer owns a fairly good suppression effect on flapping vibration and benefits for the improvement of flight performance and control efficiency.Siqi WANG Bifeng SONG Ang CHEN Qiang FU Jin CUI 2022Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2022,35,3:1

19Temporal-spatial Analysis on Urban and Rural Drinking Water Health Monitoring of Tianjin in 2013显示文摘[Objective] Grasp quality and health status of drinking water,and provide scientific basis for decision making of health administrative department. [Method]According to the Standards for Drinking Water Quality( GB 5749- 2006),monitoring results of Tianjin urban and rural drinking water health in 2013 were evaluated,and software SPSS 20. 0 and GeoD a was used for temporal-spatial analysis on water quality. [Result]There were 2 882 copies of monitoring samples in total,in which both finished water and tap water of urban district were qualified,while qualified rates of tap water and secondary water supply from the county were respectively 86. 36% and 93. 91%,and major exceeding indexes were pH and total number of colonies. Qualified rates of tap water and secondary water supply from the county had difference( χ2= 1 576. 875,P < 0. 01). Quality of tap water( χ2= 5. 425,P > 0. 05) and secondary water supply( χ2= 16. 009,P > 0. 05) was stable at temporal distribution( January-December),but spatial distribution of tap water had certain regional difference( χ2= 1 255. 802,P < 0. 01). [Conclusion] General quality situation of Tianjin urban and rural drinking water was better,but qualified rate of water quality in some counties was lower,which had safety risk and threatened the health of residents in the corresponding county. The related departments should enhance the supervision and management of drinking water supply,improve supply water quality,strengthen water quality monitoring,and guarantee drinking water safety.
