5CIVB flashback analysis of hydrogen flame based on azimuthal vorticity at mixing zone exit显示文摘Swirl-premixed combustion systems exhibit potential to meet future regulations on pollution emissions. However, combustion induced vortex breakdown(CIVB) flashback is frequently observed in these systems, especially for high hydrogen content fuel. In this study, a swirl-premixed burner with diverging centerbody was used to investigate CIVB flashback based on azimuthal vorticity at mixing zone exit. Through 2D axisymmetric model, it was found that there was a maximal azimuthal vorticity at mixing zone exit for each equivalence ratio. The physical meaning of these maximal azimuthal vorticity values was the minimally required azimuthal vorticity to trigger CIVB flashback. At the same time, the required azimuthal vorticity declined with the increase of equivalence ratio since turbulent burning velocity started to control flashback. 6Effects of nuclei ambiguus and dorsal motor nuclei of vagus on gastric H^+ and HCO_3^- secretion in rats显示文摘AIM: To determine the effects of electrical stimulation of nucleus ambiguus (NA) and dorsal motor nuclei of vagus (DMV) on gastric acid and bicarbonate secretion in rats. METHODS: NA and DMV in rats were electrically stimulated. Pylorus ligation or esophagus perfusion was used to collect the gastric secretion. The titratable H+ quantum, H+ concentration, HCO3- secretion quantum were measured. RESULTS: Electrical stimulation of NA had no effects on the volume of gastric juice, titratable acidity and acid concentration, but elicited a pronounced increase in the total bicarbonate. However, electrical stimulation of DMV significantly increased the titratable acidity, the volume of gastric juice and the acid concentration. Similarly, electrical stimulation of either NA or DMV decreased the respiratory frequency and sinus bradycardia. 8ALM1, encoding a Fe-superoxide dismutase, is critical for rice chloroplast biogenesis and drought stress response显示文摘Chloroplasts are the center of plant life activities including photosynthesis,growth and development,and abiotic stress response.Chloroplast development and biogenesis in rice have been studied in detail,but how does abiotic stress affect chloroplasts is less studied.We obtained an albino mutant,alm1,whose chlorophyll content was greatly decreased.Transmission electron microscopy showed that chloroplast development in alm1 was blocked,especially in thylakoid-like structures,which could not form normally.The ALM1 gene encodes a chloroplast-localized superoxide dismutase.Full-length ALM1 successfully restored the non-albino phenotype,and in knockout lines,the albino phenotype reappeared.The ALM1gene is expressed mainly in young leaves.alm1 plants died as a consequence of excessive reactive oxygen accumulation after the third-leaf stage.A series of biochemical assays verified that ALM1 interacted with the OsTrxz protein,which is one of the components of plastid-encoded RNA polymerase (PEP) complexes.A western blot experiment indicated that ALM1 played an important role in stabilizing OsTrxz in rice.An overexpression test of ALM1 revealed that ALM1 can increase drought resistance by removing excess reactive oxygen in rice seedlings.This study suggests that ALM1 not only participates in rice chloroplast biogenesis,but also increases rice stress resistance by scavenging excess reactive oxygen.Yanwei Wang Chen Deng Pengfei Ai Xue’an Cui Zhiguo Zhang 2021The Crop Journal2021,9,5:4
9Prognostic value of MET, cyclin D1 and MET gene copy number in non-small cell lung cancer显示文摘The aim of this study was to analyze the correlation of the expression of MET and cyclin D1 and MET gene copy number in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) tissues and patient clinicopathologic characteristics and survival. Sixty-one NSCLC tissue specimens were included in the study. The expression of MET and cyclin D1 was evaluated by immunohistochemistry and MET gene copy number was assessed by quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (Q-PCR). Positive expression of MET and cyclin D1 protein and increased MET gene copy number occurred in 59.0%, 59.0% and 18.0% of 61 NSCLC tissues, respectively. MET-positivity correlated with poor differentiation (P=0.009). Increased MET gene copy number was significantly associated with lymph node metastasis (P=0.004) and advanced tumor stage (P=0.048), while the expression of cyclin D1 was not associated with any clinicopathologic parameters. There was a significant correlation between the expression of MET and MET gene copy number (P=0.002). Additionally, the expression of cyclin D1 had a significant association with the expression of MET as well as MET gene copy number (P=0.002 and P=0.017, respectively). MET-positivity and increased MET gene copy number were significantly associated with poor overall survival (P=0.003 and P<0.001, respectively) in univariate analysis. Multivariate Cox proportional hazard analysis confirmed that the expression of MET and MET gene copy number were prognostic indicators of NSCLC (P=0.003 and P=0.001, respectively). The overexpression of MET and the increased MET gene copy number might be adverse prognostic factors for NSCLC patients. 12Infection with severe fever with thrombocytopenia virus in healthy population:a cohort study in a high endemic region,China显示文摘Background: Severe fever with thrombocytopenia (SFTS) caused by SFTS virus (SFTSV) was a tick-borne hemorrhagic fever that posed significant threat to human health in Eastern Asia. The study was designed to measure the seroprevalence of SFTSV antibody in healthy population residing in a high endemic region.Methods: A cohort study was performed on healthy residents in Shangcheng County in Xinyang City from April to December in 2018, where the highest SFTS incidence in China was reported. Anti-SFTSV IgG was measured by indirect enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay and neutralizing antibody (NAb) was detected by using PRNT50. The logistic regression models were performed to analyze the variables that were associated with seropositive rates.Results: Totally 886 individuals were recruited. The baseline seroprevalence that was tested before the epidemic season was 11.9% (70/587) for IgG and 6.8% (40/587) for NAb, which was increased to 13.4% (47/350) and 7.7% (27/350) during the epidemic season, and further to 15.8% (80/508) and 9.8% (50/508) post epidemic. The IgG antibody-based seropositivity was significantly related to the patients aged ≥ 70 years old [adjusted odds ratio (OR) = 2.440, 95% confidence interval (CI): 1.334-4.461 compared to the group of < 50 years old,P = 0.004], recent contact with cats (adjustedOR = 2.195, 95%CI: 1.261-3.818,P = 0.005), and working in tea garden (adjustedOR = 1.698, 95%CI: 1.002-2.880,P = 0.049) by applying multivariate logistic regression model. The NAb based seropositivity was similarly related to the patients aged ≥ 70 years old (adjustedOR = 2.691, 95%CI: 1.271-5.695 compared to the group of < 50 years old,P = 0.010), and recent contact with cats (OR = 2.648, 95%CI: 1.419-4.941,P = 0.002). For a cohort of individuals continually sampled with 1-year apart, the anti-SFTSV IgG were maintained at a stable level, while the NAb level reduced.Conclusions: Subclinical infection might not provide adequate immunity to protect reinfection of SFTSV, thus highlighting the ongoing threats of SFTS in endemic regions, which called for an imperative need for vaccine development. 15Experimental realization of nonadiabatic holonomic single‐qubit quantum gates with two dark paths in a trapped ion显示文摘For circuit-based quantum computation,experimental implementation of a universal set of quantum logic gates with high-fidelity and strong robustness is essential and central.Quantum gates induced by geometric phases,which depend only on global properties of the evolution paths,have built-in noise-resilience features.Here,we propose and experimentally demonstrate nonadiabatic holonomic single-qubit quantum gates on two dark paths in a trapped ^(171)γδ^(+)ion based on four-level systems with resonant drives.We confirm the implementation with measured gate fidelity through both quantum process tomography and randomized benchmarking methods.Meanwhile,we find that nontrivial holonomic two-qubit quantum gates can also be realized within current experimental technologies.Compared with previous implementations,our experiments share both the advantages of fast nonadiabatic evolution and robustness against systematic errors.Therefore,our experiments confirm a promising method for fast and robust holonomic quantum computation.Ming-Zhong Ai Sai Li Ran He Zheng-Yuan Xue Jin-Ming Cui Yun-Feng Huang Chuan-Feng Li Guang-Can Guo 2022Fundamental Research2022,2,5:1
