| 1 | Colorectal cancer, radiotherapy and gut microbiota显示文摘Colorectal cancer is closely related to inflammation and immune response. Radiotherapy, as a major treatment for colorectal cancer, plays a central role in cancer control. Inflammation caused by ionizing radiation can exert either anti-or pro-tumorigenic effects. Additionally, radiotherapy can elicit an anti-tumor response not only in radiation of target lesions but also in radiation of remote lesions. However, the immune mechanism underlying this effect has not been thoroughly elucidated yet. The combination therapeutic regimen of radiotherapy with other therapeutic methods, including chemotherapy and immunotherapy, has been applied in clinical practice. Meanwhile, radiation toxicity and radiosensitivity have long been problems that affect a patient's quality of life and morbidity.Researchers have found that the abovementioned problems are closely associated with gut microbiota. | 2 | Optimality Analysis of Sensor-Target Geometries for Bearing-Only Passive Localization in Three Dimensional Space显示文摘Optimality analysis of sensor to target observation geometry for bearing-only passive localization is of practical significance in engineering and military applications and this paper generalized predecessors' researches in two-dimensions into three dimensional space. Based on the principles of Cramer-Rao lower bound(CRLB), Fisher information matrix(FIM) and the determinant of FIM derived by Cauchy-Binet formula, this paper configured the optimal observation geometry resulted from maximizing the determinant of FIM. Optimal observation geometry theorems and corresponding propositions were proved for N ≥ 2 sensors in three dimensions. One conjecture was proposed, i.e., when each range of N(N ≥ 4) sensors to the single target is identical, configuring the optimal geometry is equivalent to distributing N points uniformly on a unit sphere, which is one of the worldwide difficult problem. | 3 | A Semantic Retrieval Model Based on Domain Ontology of Orchard Disease and Pests显示文摘Ontology-based semantic retrieval can improve the efficiency of information retrieval. This paper proposes a semantic retrieval model based on domain ontology of orchard disease and pests. According to Forestry Thesaurus, we semi-automatically construct a domain ontology and repair ontology inconsistency to ensure the accuracy and uniqueness of the domain knowledge. A concept similarity algorithm is proposed and applied to calculate sentence similarity. We present a synthetic sentence similarity algorithm, which is a combination of the traditional sentence similarity algorithm and the weighted sentence similarity algorithm. | 4 | Magnetic characteristics and its environmental implications of core YSJD-86GC sediments from the southern South China Sea显示文摘Sediments of core YSJD-86GC(referred to as86GC)collected from the southern South China Sea were selected for environmental magnetic studies.Combined with the published chronological framework,sediment magnetic properties were revealed for the study area since the MIS3 stage.The rock magnetic results indicate that low-coercivity magnetite is the main magnetic mineral within the sediments.Also,a certain amounts of hematite are present.The King plot and Day plot,which reflect the magnetic particle size,show that fine-grained pseudo-single-domain phase magnetic particles dominate the magnetic minerals in the sediments.Comparison of magnetic parameters and geochemical indicators show that magnetic properties of core 86GC sediments reflect a terrigenous input.Simultaneously,magnetic characteristics of the studied sediment are influenced by the quantity of terrigenous sediment input,oxidation-reduction conditions of the provenance area,and the transportation environment and distance.Sea level fluctuation caused by global climate change was the main factor for variation in concentration of magnetic minerals and magnetic particle size of thestudied core sediments.Thus,variation of sediment magnetic properties in the study area can be used as an indirect indicator of sea level fluctuation. | Tingping Ouyang Chengjing Tian Zhaoyu Zhu Yan Qiu Erwin Appel Shuqing Fu | 2014 | Chinese Science Bulletin2014,59,25: | 3 |
| 5 | Using nerve segment insert grafting to reconstruct neural pathways of brain-derived paralysis显示文摘Since 1992,task groups have used free nerve auto grafts to bridge partially transected nerves from the dominant area of the normal cerebral cortex to nerves that innervate spastic muscles from a diseased cerebral cortex,using transplanting sutures to alleviate the muscle spasm of cerebral palsy caused by different diseases. This has facilitated rebuilding of some of its neurological function. In this study,80 such patients were followed up,including 20 patients with traumatic brain injury,32 patients with stroke,and 28 pediatric patients with cerebral palsy. | 6 | Effect of hole arrangement patterns on the leakage and rotordynamic characteristics of the honeycomb seal显示文摘The honeycomb seal is a vital component to reduce the leakage flow and improvethe system stability for the turbomachines. In this work, a three-dimensional model is established for the interlaced hole honeycomb seal (IHHCS) and the non-interlaced hole honeycombseal (NIHHCS) to investigate its leakage and rotordynamic characteristics by adopting computational fluid dynamics (CFD). Results show that the hole arrangement patterns have littleimpact on the pressure drop and turbulence kinetic energy distribution for the seals, and theIHHCS possesses a slightly lower leakage flow rate than the NIHHCS. Moreover, the numericalresults also show that the NIHHCS possesses a better rotordynamic performance than theIHHCS at all investigated conditions. Both seals show a larger k and a lower Ceff with the increase of the positive preswirl ratios and rotational speeds, while the negative preswirl ratioswould reduce the k and improve the Ceff. | 7 | Detection of the Pandemic H1N1/2009 Influenza A Virus by a Highly Sensitive Quantitative Real-time Reverse-transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction Assay显示文摘A quantitative real time reverse-transcription polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) assay with specific primers recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO) has been widely used successfully for detection and monitoring of the pandemic H1N1/2009 influenza A virus. In this study, we report the design and characterization of a novel set of primers to be used in a qRT-PCR assay for detecting the pandemic H1N1/2009 virus. The newly designed primers target three regions that are highly conserved among the hemagglutinin (HA) genes of the pandemic H1N1/2009 viruses and are different from those targeted by the WHO-recommended primers. The qRT-PCR assays with the newly designed primers are highly specific, and as specific as the WHO-recommended primers for detecting pandemic H1N1/2009 viruses and other influenza viruses including influenza B viruses and influenza A viruses of human, swine, and raccoon dog origin. Furthermore, the qRT-PCR assays with the newly designed primers appeared to be at least 10-fold more sensitive than those with the WHO-recommended primers as the detection limits of the assays with our primers and the WHO-recommended primers were 2.5 and 25 copies of target RNA per reaction, respectively. When tested with 83 clinical samples, 32 were detected to be positive using the qRT-PCR assays with our designed primers, while only 25 were positive by the assays with the WHO-recommended primers. | 8 | Numerical investigation on leakage and rotordynamic performance of the honeycomb seal with swirl-reverse rings显示文摘Honeycomb seals are a crucial component to restrict the leakage flow and improve system stability for the turbomachines and aero-engines.In this work,the leakage and rotordynamic performance of honeycomb seals with the Swirl-Reverse Ring(SRR)is predicted by employing the approach of Computational Fluid Dynamics(CFD)and the multifrequency whirling model theory.Numerical results show that the positive preswirl flow and circumferential velocity can be effectively weakened for the honeycomb seal as SRR is introduced.The obtained results also suggest that the direct stiffness,direct damping,and effective stiffness will not reduce,for the honeycomb seal is introduced to SRR.However,the honeycomb seal with SRR can significantly reduce the crosscoupled stiffness and remarkably enhance the effective damping.Meanwhile,the absolute value of negative tangential force acting on the rotor surface significantly increased for the honeycomb seal introduced SRR.Therefore,the whirling velocity of the rotor would be weakened.This phenomenon would be conducive to improve the stability of the rotor.Besides,the performance of SRR can be further enhanced when SRR possesses a smaller bending angle,and a higher arrangement density and height. | Chengjing GU Wanfu ZHANG Xingchen YANG Kexin WU Lu YIN | 2022 | Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2022,35,6: | 2 |

The enrichment of target cells and ad-sorption of DNA have been functionally integrated onto the surfaces of the carboxyl-modified magnetic nano-beads, and the DNA segments bound on the surface of the beads can be directly used as PCR templates to amplify a target gene. The PCR products were applied to an oligonucleotide array to perform gene typing.
