| 1 | Inhibition of hepatitis B virus DNA replicative intermediate forms by recombinant interferon-γ显示文摘AIM: To evaluate the in vitro anti-HBV activity of recombinant human IFN-γ, alone and in combination with lamivudine. METHODS: A recombinant baculovirus-HBV/HepG2 culture system was developed which could support productive HBV infection in vitro. Expression of HBsAg and HBeAg in infected HepG2 culture medium was detected by commercial enzyme immunoassays. HBV DNA replication intermediates were detected in infected cells by Southern hybridization and viral DNA load was determined by dot hybridization. RESULTS: IFN-γat 0.1 to 5μg/L efficiently down regulated HBsAg expression in transduced HepG2 cells. At 5μg/L, IFN-γalso suppressed HBV DNA replication in these cells. While treatment with a combination of lamivudine and IFN-γshowed no additive effect, sequential treatment first with lamivudine and then IFN-γwas found to be promising. In this culture system the best HBV suppression was observed with a pulse of 2μmol/L lamivudine for two days, followed by 1μg/L IFN-γfor another four days. Compared to treatment with lamivudine alone, the sequential use of 0.2μmol/L lamivudine for two days, followed by 5μg/L IFN-γfor six days showed a 72% reduction in HBV cccDNA pool. CONCLUSION: This in vitro study warrants further evaluation of a combination of IFN-γand lamivudine, especially in IFN-αnon-responder chronic hepatitis B patients. | 2 | Fractional-Order Model of the Disease Psoriasis:A Control Based Mathematical Approach显示文摘Autoimmune diseases are generated through irregular immune response of the human body.Psoriasis is one type of autoimmune chronic skin diseases that is differentiated by T-Cells mediated hyper-proliferation of epidermal Keratinocytes.Dendritic Cells and CD8^+T-Cells have a significant role for the occurrence of this disease.In this paper,the authors have developed a mathematical model of Psoriasis involving CD4^+T-Cells,Dendritic Cells,CD8^+T-Cells and Keratinocyte cell populations using the fractional differential equations with the effect of Cytokine release to observe the impact of memory on the cell-biological system.Using fractional calculus,the authors try to explore the suppressed memory,associated with the cell-biological system and to locate the position of Keratinocyte cell population as fractional derivative possess non-local property.Thus,the dynamics of Psoriasis can be predicted in a better way using fractional differential equations rather than its corresponding integer order model.Finally,the authors introduce drug into the system to obstruct the interaction between CD4^+T-Cells and Keratinocytes to restrict the disease Psoriasis.The authors derive the Euler-Lagrange conditions for the optimality of the drug induced system.Numerical simulations are made through Matlab by developing iterative schemes. | CAO Xianbing DATTA Abhirup AL BASIR Fahad ROY Priti Kumar | 2016 | Journal of Systems Science & Complexity2016，29，6： | 3 |
| 3 | Experimental and statistical assessments of the mechanical strength reliability of gamma alumina catalyst supports显示文摘The mechanical strength of solid catalysts is considered an important factor in terms of ensuring the reliable performance of industrial reactors.In this work,a pelletizing method was used to form gamma alumina support for catalysts.Response surface methodology(RSM) was employed to analyze and model the effects of various manufacturing parameters on the crushing strength of the supports.These parameters were binder concentration,compaction pressure,calcination temperature,and drying mode.The suggested model was verified by applying an analysis of variance to assess its validity with regard to crushing strength.The mechanical reliability of various supports was also determined by calculating their Weibull modulus values through linear regression of the Weibull equation.The material with the highest mechanical strength reliability will have both a high mean crushing strength and a high Weibull modulus,and the best values obtained for a support in this work were 70.7 MPa and 6.63,respectively.The conditions used to form this sample were:20mass%binder concentration,861 MPa compaction pressure,466 ℃ calcination temperature,and gentle drying. | Abdolreza Samimi Mozhgan Zakeri Basir Maleki Davod Mohebbi-Kalhori | 2015 | Particuology2015，13，4： | 2 |
