| 1 | Relationships Between Yield, Quality and Nitrogen Uptake and Utilization of Organically Grown Rice Varieties显示文摘Due to the relatively late start of organic rice(Oryza sativa L.) research in China,there is a still lack of systematic research on rice varieties,organic fertilizer management practices,and especially the mechanisms of nitrogen(N) uptake and utilization.Three rice varieties,Nanjing 5055,Nanjing 9108,and Nanjing 46,were grown under organic farming(OF) at three organic fertilizer levels(103.2,160.8,and 218.4 kg N ha^(-1)) and conventional farming(CF) with regular chemical fertilizers.Rice grain yields,yield components,and quality,dry matter accumulation,and plant N were measured at different growth stages during the 2012 and 2013 growing seasons.Compared with CF,OF had a significantly reduced yield.Nanjing 9108 showed significant reductions in number of panicles per unit area and percentage of filled grains,and had the lowest yield.The effects of fertilizer type and application rate on dry matter accumulation during the main growth periods were significant for all varieties.The N content and uptake in organically grown rice were lower compared with those of rice under CF.The N recovery efficiency and N agronomic efficiency were significantly lower,whereas N physiological efficiency and N partial factor productivity were greater under OF than under CF.Under OF,the processing quality showed a slight but insignificant decline,protein content and gel consistency increased,and amylose content decreased compared with those under CF.Correlation analysis showed that under OF,grain yield was significantly correlated with N uptake.The medium organic fertilizer level(160.8 kg N ha^(-1)) was found to be the optimum fertilizer treatment,and Nanjing 46 appeared to be the best variety for organic rice cultivation.To increase rice grain yields and reduce the potential risk of non-point source pollution in organic agriculture,further research is needed to improve the N use efficiency in organic rice cultivation. | HUANG Lifen YU Jun YANG Jie ZHANG Rong BAI Yanchao SUN Chengming ZHUANG Hengyang | 2016 | Pedosphere2016,26,1: | 11 |

| 5 | Etching approach to hybrid structures of PtPd nanocages and graphene for efficient oxygen reduction reaction catalysts显示文摘Cathodic oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) is a highly important electrochemical reaction in renewable-energy technologies. In general, the surface area, exposed facets and electrical conductivity of catalysts all play important roles in determining their electrocatalytic activities, while their performance durability can be improved by integration with supporting materials. In this work we have developed a method to synthesize hybrid structures between PtPd bimetallic nanocages and graphene by employing selective epitaxial growth of single-crystal Pt shells on Pd nanocubes supported on reduced graphene oxide (rGO), followed by Pd etching. The hollow nature, {100} surface facets and bimetallic composition of PtPd nanocages, together with the good conductivity and stability of graphene, enable high electrocatalytic performance in ORR. | 7 | Phosphate-induced interfacial electronic engineering in VPO_(4)-Ni_(2)P heterostructure for improved electrochemical water oxidation显示文摘Anodic oxygen evolution reaction(OER)is the key bottleneck for water electrolysis technique owing to its sluggish reaction kinetics.Interfacial engineering on the rationally designed heterostructure can regulate the electronic states efficiently for intrinsic activity improvement.Here,we report a co-phosphorization approach to construct a VPO_(4)-Ni_(2)P heterostructure on nickel foam with strongly chemical binding,wherein phosphate acts as electronic modifier for Ni_(2)P electrocatalyst.Profiting from the interfacial interaction,it is uncovered that electron shifts from Ni_(2)P to VPO_(4)to render valence increment in Ni species.Such an electronic manipulation rationalizes the chemical affinities of various oxygen intermediates in OER pathway,giving a substantially reduced energy barrier.As a result,the advanced VPO_(4)-Ni_(2)P heterostructure only requires an overpotential of 289 mV to deliver a high current density of 350 mA/cm^(2)for OER in alkaline electrolyte,together with a Tafel slope as low as 28 mV/dec.This work brings fresh insights into interfacial engineering for advanced electrocatalyst design. | Kun Chen Keke Mao Yu Bai Delong Duan Shuangming Chen Chengming Wang Ning Zhang Ran Long Xiaojun Wu Li Song Yujie Xiong | 2022 | Chinese Chemical Letters2022,33,1: | 1 |

| 13 | Groundwater contaminant source identification considering unknown boundary condition based on an automated machine learning surrogate显示文摘Groundwater contamination source identification(GCSI)is a prerequisite for contamination risk evaluation and efficient groundwater contamination remediation programs.The boundary condition generally is set as known variables in previous GCSI studies.However,in many practical cases,the boundary condition is complicated and cannot be estimated accurately in advance.Setting the boundary condition as known variables may seriously deviate from the actual situation and lead to distorted identification results.And the results of GCSI are affected by multiple factors,including contaminant source information,model parameters,boundary condition,etc.Therefore,if the boundary condition is not estimated accurately,other factors will also be estimated inaccurately.This study focuses on the unknown boundary condition and proposed to identify three types of unknown variables(contaminant source information,model parameters and boundary condition)innovatively.When simulation-optimization(S-O)method is applied to GCSI,the huge computational load is usually reduced by building surrogate models.However,when building surrogate models,the researchers need to select the models and optimize the hyperparameters to make the model powerful,which can be a lengthy process.The automated machine learning(AutoML)method was used to build surrogate model,which automates the model selection and hyperparameter optimization in machine learning engineering,largely reducing human operations and saving time.The accuracy of AutoML surrogate model is compared with the surrogate model used in eXtreme Gradient Boosting method(XGBoost),random forest method(RF),extra trees regressor method(ETR)and elasticnet method(EN)respectively,which are automatically selected in AutoML engineering.The results show that the surrogate model constructed by AutoML method has the best accuracy compared with the other four methods.This study provides reliable and strong support for GCSI. | Yaning Xu Wenxi Lu Zidong Pan Chengming Luo Yukun Bai Shuwei Qiu | 2024 | Geoscience Frontiers2024,15,1: | 0 |
