| 1 | Handheld optical coherence tomography device for photodynamic therapy显示文摘Photodynamic therapy (PDT) is a very effective treatment for port wine stains (PWS). To guide and assess PDT treatment, a handheld optical coherence tomography (OCT) probe was designed for real-time imaging of the PWS patient. The system uses a light source with a center wavelength of 1310 nm, -3 dB bandwidth of 90 nm and an optical power of 9 mW. The system also has a spatial resolution of 8 μm (lateral) × 7 μm (axial), an imaging rate of 4 frames per second, and a 102 dB sensitivity. We then demonstrate that the OCT imaging system can clearly distinguish between normal and PWS tissues. Therefore, the system can provide valuable guidance for PDT treatment. | WANG TianShi WANG ChengMing HUANG NaiYan ZHANG Jian GU Ying XUE Ping | 2012 | Chinese Science Bulletin2012,57,5: | 2 |
| 2 | Landscape dynamic network biomarker analysis reveals the tipping point of transcriptome reprogramming to prevent skin photodamage显示文摘Skin,as the outmost layer of human body,is frequently exposed to environmental stressors including pollutants and ultraviolet(UV),which could lead to skin disorders.Generally, skin response process to ultraviolet B(UVB)irradiation is a nonlinear dynamic process, with unknown underlying molecular mechanism of critical transition. Here, the landscape dynamic network biomarker(lDNB)analysis of time series transcriptome data on 3D skin model was conducted to reveal the complicated process of skin response to UV irradiation at both molecular and network levels. The advanced l-DNB analysis approach showed that:(i)there was a tipping point before critical transition state during pigmentation process, validated by 3D skin model;(ii)13 core DNB genes were identified to detect the tipping point as a network biomarker, supported by computational assessment;(iii)core DNB genes such as COL7A1 and CTNNB1 can effectively predict skin lightening, validated by independent human skin data.Overall, this study provides new insights for skin response to repetitive UVB irradiation, including dynamic pathway pattern, biphasic response, and DNBs for skin lightening change, and enables us to further understand the skin resilience process after external stress. | Chengming Zhang Hong Zhang Jing Ge Tingyan Mi Xiao Cui Fengjuan Tu Xuelan Gu Tao Zeng Luonan Chen | 2021 | Journal of Molecular Cell Biology2021,13,11: | 1 |

| 5 | AUTOMATED ASSESSMENT OF EPIDERMAL THICKNESS AND VASCULAR DENSITY OF PORT WINE STAINS OCT IMAGE显示文摘Optical coherence tomography(OCT)enables in vivo imaging of port wine stains(PWS)lesions. The knowledge of vascular struct ure and epidermal thickness(ET)of PWS may aid the objectivediagnosis and optimal treatment. To obtain the structural parameters more rapidly and avoiduser intervention,an automated algorithm of energy map is introduced based on intensity andedge information to extract the skin surface using dynamic programming method.Subsequently,an averaged A-scan analysis is performed to obtain the mean ET and the relative intensity ofdermis indicating the corresponding vascular density. This approach is currently successfullyapplied in clinical diagnosis and shows promising guidance and assessment of PDT treatment. | CHENGMING WANG TIANCHENG HUO JING-GAO ZHENG NING ZHANG TIANYUAN CHEN WENCHAO LIAO YING WANG YING GU PING XUE | 2014 | Journal of Innovative Optical Health Sciences2014,7,1: | 0 |
| 6 | Beyond Video Quality:Evaluation of Spatial Presence in 360-Degree Videos显示文摘With the rapid development of immersive multimedia technologies,360-degree video services have quickly gained popularity and how to ensure sufficient spatial presence of end users when viewing 360-degree videos becomes a new challenge. In this regard, accurately acquiring users’sense of spatial presence is of fundamental importance for video service providers to improve their service quality.Unfortunately, there is no efficient evaluation model so far for measuring the sense of spatial presence for 360-degree videos. In this paper,we first design an assessment framework to clarify the influencing factors of spatial presence.Related parameters of 360-degree videos and headmounted display devices are both considered in this framework.Well-designed subjective experiments are then conducted to investigate the impact of various influencing factors on the sense of presence.Based on the subjective ratings,we propose a spatial presence assessment model that can be easily deployed in 360-degree video applications. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first attempt in literature to establish a quantitative spatial presence assessment model by using technical parameters that are easily extracted.Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed model can reliably predict the sense of spatial presence. | ZOU Wenjie GU Chengming FAN Jiawei HUANG Cheng BAI Yaxian | 2023 | ZTE Communications2023,21,4: | 0 |
