2Per rectal portal scintigraphy as a useful tool for predicting esophageal variceal bleeding in cirrhotic patients显示文摘AIM: To investigate potential roles of per rectal portal scintigraphy in diagnosis of esophageal varices and predicting the risk of bleeding.METHODS: Fifteen normal subjects and fifty cirrhotic patients with endoscopically confirmed esophageal varices were included. Patients were categorized into bleeder and non-bleeder groups according to history of variceal bleeding. All had completed per rectal portal scintigraphy using 99mTechnetium pertechnetate. The shunt index was calculated from the ratio of 99mTechnetium pertechnetate in the heart and the liver. Data were analyzed using Student’s t-test and receiver operating characteristics.RESULTS: Cirrhotic patients showed a higher shunt index than normal subjects (63.80 ± 25.21 vs 13.54 ± 6.46, P < 0.01). Patients with variceal bleeding showed a higher shunt index than those without bleeding (78.45 ± 9.40 vs 49.35 ± 27.72, P < 0.01). A shunt index of over 20% indicated the presence of varices and that of over 60% indicated the risk of variceal bleeding.CONCLUSION: In cirrhotic patients, per rectal portal scintigraphy is a clinically useful test for identifying esophageal varices and risk of variceal bleeding.Taned Chitapanarux Ong-ard Praisontarangkul Satawat Thongsawat Pises Pisespongsa Apinya Leerapun 2007World Journal of Gastroenterology2007,13,5:2

7Secondary Iron Overload and the Liver:A Comprehensive Review显示文摘Iron overload is a condition involving excessive iron deposit in various organs,the liver being the main target organ for iron deposition and overload which are associated with significant liver morbidity and mortality.Iron overload can be categorized into primary and secondary causes.Primary iron overload,so-called hereditary hemochromatosis,is a wellrecognized disease with available standard treatment recommendations.However,secondary iron overload is a more diverse disease with many unclear areas to be explored.Secondary iron overload is more prevalent than primary iron overload and occurs as a consequence of various causes which differ significantly across geographic regions.The main causes of secondary iron overload are iron-loading anemias,and chronic liver disease.The liver-related outcomes,patient outcomes,and treatment recommendations in these patients differ depending on the cause of iron overload.This review summarizes the causes,pathophysiology,liver-related outcomes,disease outcomes,and treatments of secondary iron overload.Kanokwan Pinyopornpanish Adisak Tantiworawit Apinya Leerapun Atiwat Soontornpun Satawat Thongsawat 2023Journal of Clinical and Translational Hepatology2023,11,4:1

14Optimization of Channel Estimation Using ELMx-based in Massive MIMO显示文摘In communication channel estimation,the Least Square(LS)technique has long been a widely accepted and commonly used principle.This is because the simple calculation method is compared with other channel estimation methods.The Minimum Mean Squares Error(MMSE),which is developed later,is devised as the next step because the goal is to reduce the error rate in the communication system from the conventional LS technique which still has a higher error rate.These channel estimations are very important to modern communication systems,especially massive MIMO.Evaluating the massive MIMO channel is one of the most researched and debated topics today.This is essential in technology to overcome traditional performance barriers.The better the channel estimation,the more accurate it is.This paper investigated machine learning(ML)for channel estimation.ML channel estimations based on the Extreme Learning Machine(ELMx)group are also implemented.These estimations,known as the ELMx group,include Regularized Extreme Learning Machine(RELM)and Outlier Robust Extreme Learning Machine(ORELM).Then,it was compared with LS and MMSE.The simulation results reveal that the ELMx group outperforms LS and MMSE in channel capacity and bit error rate.Additionally,this paper has proven complexity for verified computational times.The RELM method is less time consuming and has low complexity which is suitable for future use in large MIMO systems.Apinya Innok Chittapon Keawin Peerapong Uthansakul 2022Computers, Materials & Continua2022,,10:0
15THAAD Installation in South Korea:Analysis Through Rational Actor Model显示文摘South Korea and China established their diplomatic relations in 1992.The relation has always been positive,despite their different ideology,even better during Park Geun Hye and Xi Jinping presidencies since 2013,from having the same historical enemy.The two leaders wanted to make East Asia become peaceful and worried-free.Yet,North Korea has always been a main topic in the talks between ROK-PRC on security,from the weapon of mass destruction.During Park’s early period,she decided to tilt toward China,for trading,and moved away from US,but still kept relation at the arm-length.However,from mid-2015,the relationship started to show friction as South Korea accepted U.S.’defensive weapon,THAAD.The act showed that South Korea did not trust China,despite their cooperation on economy that they decided to accept U.S.’security shield.Park’s decision was not based on security dimension alone,as economic benefit also gives a big impact,for going back to traditional ally.This paper aims to find Park’s reason for accepting THAAD,despite knowing it would hurt economic relation with China,which is not based on security reason alone,as economic benefit also plays a big part on changing Park’s decision.Apinya Bunnak 2020US-China Law Review2020,17,1:0
