3Pravastatin alleviates lipopolysaccharide-induced placental TLR4 over-activation and promotes uterine arteriole remodeling without impairing rat fetal development显示文摘Preeclampsia is associated with over-activation of the innate immune system in the placenta,in which toll-like receptor 4(TLR4) plays an essential part.With their potent anti-inflammatory effects,statins have been suggested as potential prevention or treatment of preeclampsia,although evidence remains inadequate.Herewith,we investigated whether pravastatin could ameliorate preeclampsia-like phenotypes in a previously established lipopolysaccharide(LPS)-induced rat preeclampsia model,through targeting the TLR4/NF-κB pathway.The results showed that pravastatin reduced the blood pressure [maximum decline on gestational day(GD) 12,(101.33±2.49) mmHg vs.(118.3±1.37) mmHg,P<0.05] and urine protein level [maximum decline on GD9,(3,726.23± 1,572.86) μg vs.(1,991.03 ±609.37)μg,P< 0.05],which were elevated following LPS administration.Pravastatin also significantly reduced the rate of fetal growth restriction in LPS-treated rats(34.10% vs.8.99%,P<0.05).Further pathological analyses suggested a restoration of normal spiral artery remodeling in preeclampsia rats by pravastatin treatment.These effects of pravastatin were associated with decreased TLR4/NF-κB protein levels in the placenta and IL-6/MCP-1 levels in serum.Additionally,no obvious abnormalities in fetal liver,brain,and kidney were found after administration of pravastatin.These results provide supportive evidence for use of pravastatin in preventing preeclampsia.Muyi Yang Zhenyu Diao Zhiyin Wang Guijun Yan Guangfeng Zhao Mingming Zheng Anyi Dai Yimin Dai Yali Hu 2018The Journal of Biomedical Research2018,32,4:5
4Evaluation of Natural Ecological Environment in Guangzhou City Based on Remote Sensing Technology and Comprehensive Index Method显示文摘Based on the ETM remote sensing images of Guangzhou City in 2014, the spatial distribution results o f three environmental factors including vegetation coverage(NDVI), soil index(vegetation index of bare soil) and sl ope were obtained. By using comprehensive index method, the normalized environmental factors were weighted and superimposed, and the fi nal evaluation results of ecological environment in Guangzhou City were obtained. The results showed that overall situation of natural ecological environment in Guangzhou was not optimistic, that is, the area of land with bad, moderate, good and superior environment accounted for 59.70%, 35.79%, 4.50% and around 0.01% of total area of land in Guangzhou City respectively. Ecological environment was generally poor in the central urban districts in the south of Guangzhou City, while it was relatively better in the north and northeast. 6Quasi-two-dimensionalβ-Ga2O3 field effect transistors with large drain current density and low contact resistance via controlled formation of interfacial oxygen vacancies显示文摘Quasi-two-dimensi on al(2D)β-Ga2O3 is a rediscovered metal-oxide semiconductor with an ultra-wide bandgap of 4.6-4.9eV.It has been reported to be a promising material for next-generation power and radio frequency electronics.Field effect transistors(FETs)that can switch at high voltage are key compone nts in power and radio frequency devices,and reliable Ohmic con tacts are essential for high FET performance.However,obtaining low contact resistance onβ-Ga2O3 FETs is difficult since reactions betweenβ-Ga2O3 and metal contacts are not fully understood.Herein,we experimentally demonstrate the importanee of reactions at the metal/β-Ga2O3 interface and the corresponding effects of these reactions on FET performance.When Ti is employed as the metal contact,annealing ofβ-Ga2O3 FETs in argon can effectively transform Schottky contacts into Ohmic contacts and permit a large drain current density of-3.1 mA//μm.The contact resistance(Rcontact)between the Ti electrodes andβ-Ga2O3 decreased from^430 to^0.387Ω·mm after annealing.X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)confirmed the formation of oxygen vacancies at the Ti/β-Ga2O3 interface after annealing,which is believed to cause the improved FET performance.The results of this study pave the way for greater application ofβ-Ga2O3 in electronics.Zhen Li Yihang Liu Anyi Zhang Qingzhou Liu Chenfei Shen Fanqi Wu Chi Xu Mingrui Chen Hongyu Fu Chongwu Zhou 2019Nano Research2019,12,1:2
7Influence of precursor concentration on printable mesoscopic perovskite solar cells显示文摘Over the last decade,the power conversion efficiency of hybrid organic-inorganic perovskite solar cells(PSCs)has increased dramatically from 3.8%to 25.2%.This rapid progress has been possible duc to the accurate control of the morphology and crystallinity of solution-processed perovskites,which are significantly affected by the concentration of the precursor used.This study explores the influence of precursor concentrations on the performance of printable hole-conductor-free meso-scopic PSCs via a simple one-step drop-coating method.The results reveal that lower concentrations lead to larger grains with inferior pore flling,while higher concentra-tions result in smaller grains with improved pore filling.Among concentrations ranging from 0.241.20M,devices based on a moderate strength of 0.70M were confirmed to exhibit the best efficiency at 16.32%.Shuangquan JIANG Yusong SHENG Yue HU Yaoguang RONG Anyi MEI Hongwei HAN 2020Frontiers of Optoelectronics2020,13,3:2
8Horizontal and vertical gene transfer drive sediment antibiotic resistome in an urban lagoon system显示文摘Rapid urbanization has resulted in pervasive occurrence of antibiotic resistance genes(ARGs)in urban aquatic ecosystems.However,limited information is available concerning the ARG profiles and the forces responsible for their assembly in urban landscape lagoon systems.Here,we employed high-throughput quantitative PCR(HT-q PCR)to characterize the spatial variations of ARGs in surface and core sediments of Yundang Lagoon,China.The results indicated that the average richness and absolute abundance of ARGs were 11 and 53 times higher in the lagoon sediments as compared to pristine reference Tibetan lake sediments,highlighting the role of anthropogenic activities in ARG pollution.Co-occurrence network analysis indicated that various anaerobic prokaryotic genera belonging to Alpha-,Deltaproteobacteria,Bacteroidetes,Euryarchaeota,Firmicutes and Synergistetes were the potential hosts of ARGs.The partial least squares-path modeling(PLS-PM)analysis revealed positive and negative indirect effects of physicochemical factors and heavy metals on the lagoon ARG profiles,via biotic factors,respectively.The horizontal(mediated by mobile genetic elements)and vertical(mediated by prokaryotic communities)gene transfer may directly contribute the most to drive the abundance and composition of ARGs,respectively.Furthermore,the neutral community model demonstrated that the assembly of sediment ARG communities was jointly governed by deterministic and stochastic processes.Overall,this study provides novel insights into the diversity and distribution of ARGs in the benthic habitat of urban lagoon systems and underlying mechanisms for the spread and proliferation of ARGs.Hongjie Wang Liyuan Hou Yongqin Liu Keshao Liu Lanping Zhang Fuyi Huang Lin Wang Azhar Rashid Anyi Hu Changping Yu 2021Journal of Environmental Sciences2021,33,4:2
9Enhanced perovskite electronic properties via A-site cation engineering显示文摘Organic-inorganic halide perovskites have emerged as excellent candidates for low-cost photovoltaics and optoelectronics.While the predominant recent trend in designing perovskites for efficient and stable solar cells has been to mix different A-site cations,the role of A-site cations is still limited to tune the lattice and bandgap of perovskites.Herein we compare the optoelectronic properties of acetamidinum(Ace)and guanidinium(Gua)mixed methylammonium lead iodide perovskites and shed a light on the hidden role of A-site cation on the carrier mobility of mixed-cation lead iodide perovskites.The cations do not affect the bandgap of the perovskites since the orbitals from Ace and Gua do not contribute to the band edges of the material.However,the mobility of the Ace mixed perovskite is significantly enhanced to be an order of magnitude higher than that of the pristine perovskite.We apply the Ace mixed perovskite in hole-conductor-free printable mesoscopic perovskite solar cells and obtain a stabilized PCE of over 18%(certified 17.7%),which is the highest certified efficiency so far.Xufeng Xiao Yanmeng Chu Chunyu Zhang Zhihui Zhang Zexiong Qiu Cheng Qiu Huaixing Wang Anyi Mei Yaoguang Rong Gengzhao Xu Yue Hu Hongwei Han 2021Fundamental Research2021,1,4:2

17Elevational patterns of abundant and rare bacterial diversity and composition in mountain streams in the southeast of the Tibetan Plateau显示文摘Elevational gradients are powerful ‘natural laboratory' for testing the responses of microbes to geophysical influences. Microbial communities are normally composed of a few abundant and many rare taxa. Abundant and rare taxa play different ecological roles in kinds of environments, but how their diversity and composition patterns response to elevation gradients is still poorly elucidated. In this study, we investigated the elevational patterns of abundant and rare bacterial diversity and composition in a mountain stream from 712 to 3435 m at Gangrigabu Mountain on the Tibetan Plateau, China. Our results revealed abundant and rare bacteria had similar decreasing elevation trend of alpha diversity, and both of them showed a significant elevational distance-decay relationship. However, the turnover rate of the elevational distance-decay of rare bacteria was higher than that of abundant bacteria.
