| 1 | Mallory-Denk Bodies in chronic hepatitis显示文摘Mallory-Denk Bodies(MDB) are important as investigators,suggesting MDB as an indicator of the histologic severity of chronic hepatitis,causes of which include hepatitis C,primary biliary cirrhosis(PBC),and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD).Matteoni et al scored MDB in patients with NAFLD as none,rare and many,and reported that MDB plays a prominent role in this classification scheme in an earlier classification system.In this study,we evaluated 258 patients with chronic hepatitis due to metabolic,autoimmune and viral etiologies.Liver biopsy samples were evaluated with hematoxylin and eosin,periodic acid-Schiff-diastase,Gordon and Sweet's reticulin,Masson's trichrome,and iron stains.Both staging and grading were performed.Additionally,MDB were evaluated and discussed for each disease.We examined patients with nonalcoholic steatohepatitis(NASH;50 patients),alcoholic hepatitis(10 patients),PBC(50 patients),Wilson disease(WD;20 patients),hepatitis B(50 patients),hepatitis C(50 pati-ents) and hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC;30 patients).Frequency of MDB was as follows;NASH:10 patients with mild in 60% and moderate in 40% and observed in every stage of the disease and frequently seen in zone 3.PBC:11 patients with mild in 10%,moderate in 70%,and cirrhosis in 20%,and frequently seen in zone 1.WD:16 patients with moderate and severe in 60% and cirrhosis in 40% and frequently seen in zone 1.Hep B:3 patients with mild in 66% and severe in 34%.Hep C:7 patients with mild in 40% and moderate in 60% and observed in every stage.HCC:3 patients with hep B in 2 patients.We found that there is no relationship between MDB and any form of chronic hepatitis regarding histologic severity such as alcoholic steatohepatitis and NAFLD and variable zone distribution by etiology. | Metin Basaranoglu Nesrin Turhan Abdullah Sonsuz Gkcen Basaranoglu | 2011 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2011，17，17： | 6 |
| 2 | The impact of ipsilateral testicular atrophy on semen quality and sperm DNA fragmentation response to varicocele repair显示文摘Varicoceles adversely impact semen quality and sperm DNA fragmentation,which typically improve with surgical repair.Some men with varicoceles have ipsilateral testicular atrophy due to damage from the varicocele.This study assessed semen quality and the sperm DNA fragmentation index(DFI)response to varicocele repair in men with ipsilateral testicular atrophy(TA)versus men with no testicular atrophy(NTA).Semen parameter values and DFI in both groups were compared preoperatively and postoperatively.The Mann-Whitney U test and the Wilcoxon signed-rank test were used where appropriate.There were 20 men in the TA group and 121 men in the NTA group with no difference in age,varicocele grade,or preoperative semen parameter values between the two groups.The NTA group had a higher preoperative DFI than the TA group.Both groups showed improvement in semen quality postoperatively,only the TA group showed a significant improvement in DFI,whereas the NTA group showed significant improvements in several parameter values and DFI.The change from preoperative to postoperative parameter values when comparing the two groups revealed a difference in total sperm motile count and DFI,with a larger mean improvement in the NTA group than in the TA group.Both TA and NTA groups showed improved semen quality and DFI after varicocele repair,but the NTA group had more improvement than the TA group.However,only total motile count(TMC)and DFI had a significantly greater mean change in preoperative to postoperative response in the NTA group than in the TA group. | Parviz K Kavoussi Natasha Abdullah Melissa S Gilkey Caitlin Hunn G Luke Machen Shu-Hung Chen Keikhosrow M Kavoussi Amy Esqueda J David Wininger Shahryar K Kavoussi | 2021 | Asian Journal of Andrology2021，23，2： | 2 |
| 3 | Outcomes of revision external dacryocystorhinostomy and nasal intubation by bicanalicular silicone tubing under endonasal endoscopic guidance显示文摘AIM: To evaluate the long-term treatment outcomes in patients who underwent revision of external dacryocysto- rhinostomy (DCR) and nasal intubation by bicanalicular silicone tubing (BSTI) under endonasal endoscopic guidance. · METHODS: Data from 28 patients with recurrent dacryocystitis were retrospectively reviewed. Revision external DCR and bicanalicular nasal intubation by silicone tubing under endonasal endoscopic guidance was performed in 28 eyes of 28 patients. The patients were evaluated with respect to the reason of recurrence, time to recurrence, time to revision, duration of follow-up and surgical success. · RESULTS: Endoscopic endonasal examination detected an osteotomy-side obstruction by the excessive granulation tissue in 24 patients (86%), nasal septal deviation in three patients (10%) and nasal polyp in one patient (4%). Recurrence occurred after a mean duration of 5.3±3.7 months following the first operation. The mean time between the first DCR operation and the revision DCR was 11.5 ± 9.3 months. | 7 | Mechanical properties and microstructure of composites produced by recycling metal chips显示文摘In this study, the processing and mechanical properties of porous metal matrix composites(MMCs) composed of spheroidal cast iron chips(GGG40) and bronze chips(CuSn10) and formed by hot isostatic pressing were investigated. Bronze chips(CuSn10) were used as a matrix component, and spheroidal cast iron(GGG40) chips were used as a reinforcement component. The MMCs were produced with different CuSn10 contents(90 wt%, 80 wt%, 70 wt%, and 60 wt%). The hot isostatic pressing process was performed under three different pressures and temperatures. The produced MMCs were characterized using density tests, Brinell hardness tests, and compression tests. In addition, the consolidation mechanism was investigated by X-ray diffraction(XRD) analysis and scanning electron microscopy. The test results were compared with those for bulk CuSn10 and bulk GGG40. Mechanical tests results revealed that the metallic chips can be recycled by using hot pressing and that the mechanical properties of the produced MMCs were similar to those of bulk CuSn10. XRD and microscopy studies showed that no intermetallic compounds formed between the metallic chips.
