5Mathematical modeling of atmospheric internal waves phenomenon and its solution by Elzaki Adomian decomposition method显示文摘This article involves the study of atmospheric internal waves phenomenon,also referred to as gravity waves.This phenomenon occurs inside the fluid,not on the surface.The model is based on a shallow fluid hypothesis represented by a system of nonlinear partial differential equations.The basic assumption of the shallow flow model is that the horizontal size is much larger than the vertical size.Atmospheric internal waves can be perfectly represented by this model as the waves are spread over a large horizontal area.Here we used the Elzaki Adomian Decomposition Method(EADM)to obtain the solution for the considered model along with its convergence analysis.The Adomian decomposition method together with the Elzaki transform gives the solution in a convergent series without any linearization or perturbation.Comparisons are built between the results obtained by EADM and HAM to examine the accuracy of the proposed method.Archana C.Varsoliwala Twinkle R.Singh 2022Journal of Ocean Engineering and Science2022,7,3:0

7Robust Optimization Method of Cylindrical Roller Bearing by Maximizing Dynamic Capacity Using Evolutionary Algorithms显示文摘Optimization of cylindrical roller bearings(CRBs)has been performed using a robust design.It ensures that the changes in the objective function,even in the case of variations in design variables during manufacturing,have a minimum possible value and do not exceed the upper limit of a desired range of percentage variation.Also,it checks the feasibility of design outcome in presence of manufacturing tolerances in design variables.For any rolling element bearing,a long life indicates a satisfactory performance.In the present study,the dynamic load carrying capacity C,which relates to fatigue life,has been optimized using the robust design.In roller bearings,boundary dimensions(i.e.,bearing outer diameter,bore diameter and width)are standard.Hence,the performance is mainly affected by the internal dimensions and not the bearing boundary dimensions mentioned formerly.In spite of this,besides internal dimensions and their tolerances,the tolerances in boundary dimensions have also been taken into consideration for the robust optimization.The problem has been solved with the elitist non-dominating sorting genetic algorithm(NSGA-II).Finally,for the visualization and to ensure manufacturability of CRB using obtained values,radial dimensions drawing of one of the optimized CRB has been made.To check the robustness of obtained design after optimization,a sensitivity analysis has also been carried out to find out how much the variation in the objective function will be in case of variation in optimized value of design variables.Optimized bearings have been found to have improved life as compared with standard ones.Kumar Gaurav Rajiv Tiwari Twinkle Mandawat 2022Journal of Harbin Institute of Technology(New Series)2022,29,5:0

9Mathematical modeling of tsunami wave propagation at mid ocean and its amplification and run-up on shore显示文摘The paper deals with the study of the mathematical model of tsunami wave propagation along a coast-line of an ocean.The model is based on shallow-water assumption which is represented by a system of non-linear partial differential equations.In this study,we employ the Elzaki Adomian Decomposition Method(EADM)to successfully obtain the solution for the proposed model for different coastal slopes and ocean depths.How tsunami wave velocity and run-up height are affected by the coast slope and sea depth are demonstrated.The Adomian Decomposition Method together with Elzaki transform allows for solutions,without the need of any linearization or perturbation,in the form of rapidly converging series.The obtained numerical results for tsunami wave height and velocity are very close match to the real physical phenomenon of tsunami.Archana C.Varsoliwala Twinkle R.Singh 2021Journal of Ocean Engineering and Science2021,6,4:0
