Diffusion weighted imaging: Technique and applications显示文摘Diffusion weighted imaging(DWI) is a method of signal contrast generation based on the differences in Brownian motion. DWI is a method to evaluate the molecular function and micro-architecture of the human body. DWI signal contrast can be quantified by apparent diffusion coefficient maps and it acts as a tool for treatment respon-se evaluation and assessment of disease progression. Ability to detect and quantify the anisotropy of diffusion leads to a new paradigm called diffusion tensor imaging(DTI). DTI is a tool for assessment of the organs with highly organised fibre structure. DWI forms an integral part of modern state-of-art magnetic resonance imaging and is indispensable in neuroimaging and oncology. DWI is a field that has been undergoing rapid technical evolution and its applications are increasing every day. This review article provides insights in to the evolution of DWI as a new imaging paradigm and provides a summary of current role of DWI in various disease processes. | Vinit Baliyan Chandan J Das Raju Sharma Arun Kumar Gupta | 2016 | World Journal of Radiology2016,8,9: | 18

A review on current status of municipal solid waste management in India显示文摘Municipal solid waste management is a major environmental issue in India. Due to rapid increase in urbanization, industrialization and population, the generation rate of municipal solid waste in Indian cities and towns is also increased. Mismanagement of municipal solid waste can cause adverse environmental impacts, public health risk and other socio-economic problem. This paper presents an overview of current status of solid waste management in India which can help the competent authorities responsible for municipal solid waste management and researchers to prepare more efficient plans. | Neha Gupta Krishna Kumar Yadav Vinit Kumar | 2015 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2015,27,11: | 3

Field evidences showing rapid frontal degeneration of the Kangriz glacier, western Himalayas,Jammu&Kashmir显示文摘Life cycle of glaciers in the Himalayan region has notably changed due to the climatic variability since last few decades. Glaciers across the world and specially the Himalayan glaciers have shown large scale degeneration in the last few decades. Himalayan glaciers serve as an important fresh water resource for the downstream communities, who are dependent on this water for domestic and other purposes. Therefore, glacier shrinkage and the associated hydrological changes pose a significant problem for regional-scale water budgets and resource management. These issues necessitate the regular and rigorous monitoring of the wastage pattern of the Himalayan glaciers in field and using satellite remote sensing data. In this work, we report rapid and enhanced degeneration of the frontal part of the Kangriz glacier, Jammu and Kashmir(J & K), in terms of surface melting, debris cover, snout characteristics and meltwater discharge. Ablation data acquired during 2016-2017 shows the average lowering of the frontal part of the glacier to be ~148 ± 34 cm, one-third of which was found to have occurred within a 13 day time period in September, 2017. Also, the quantum of ice melt was found to be inversely influenced(r =-0.84) by the debris thickness. 15 day meltwater discharge measurement revealed its strong relationship with snout disintegration pattern, evidenced twice during the said time period. Volume of water discharged from the glacier was estimated to be 7.91×10~6 m^3 for the measurement duration. Also, mean daily discharge estimated for the 15 days interval showed good positive correction(r = 0.78) with temperature indicating the direct dependency of the former on land surface temperature conditions of the region. Besides the lowering and discharge observations, the frequent ice-block break-offs at the glacier snout further enhance its overall drastic degeneration. The study suggests that, being the largest glacier in the Suru basin, the Kangriz glacier needs to be continuously monitored in order to understand its glacio-hydrological conditions. | garg siddhi shukla aparna mehta manish kumar vinit samuel shruti anna bartarya s.k. shukla uma kant | 2018 | Journal of Mountain Science2018,15,6: | 0
Derated Mode of Power Generation in PV System Using Modified Perturb and Observe MPPT Algorithm显示文摘In a grid-integrated photovoltaic system(GIPVS),there exist issues such as surplus active power and inadequate performance of maximum power point tracking(MPPT).A surplus active power causes the overvoltage problem at the point of common coupling in low-or medium-voltage grid during the peak hours of power generation.Additionally, the inadequate performance of the MPPT algorithm results in power loss due to high settling time during the sudden change of irradiance. Therefore,to solve the surplus power problem, the curtailment of active power is suggested with improved MPPT algorithm under variable irradiance conditions. In this paper,a derated power generation mode(DPGM)control strategy is presented for the curtailment of active power.Additionally,a drift-free(named as modified)perturb and observe(P&O)technique is also proposed to improve the performance of the MPPT algorithm.Consequently, the DPGM control scheme with the intermediate boost converter shaves the surplus active power during the peak hours of power generation.Furthermore, the modified MPPT algorithm deals with the fluctuation of irradiance during non-peak hours. Thus, the proposed control scheme delivers in a more efficient system during the peak hours of power generation. In addition,it reduces the power loss and settling time during the change of irradiance for non-peak hours.Based on the proposed control scheme,a 30 kW system has been simulated in MATLAB/Simulink using Simpower tools under different environmental conditions. | Vinit Kumar Mukesh Singh | 2021 | Journal of Modern Power Systems and Clean Energy2021,9,5: | 0
QT AG-Modules whose h-Pure-S-High Submodules Have Closure显示文摘A right module M over an associative ring R with unity is a QTAG-module if every finitely generated submodule of any homomorphic image of M is a direct sum of uniserial modules. This article considers the closure of h-pure-S-high submodules of QTAG-modules.Here,we determine all submodules S of a QTAG-module M such that each closure of h-pure-S-high submodule of M is h-pure-S^(-)-high in M^(-).A few results of this theme give a comparison of some elementary properties of h-pure-S-high and S-high submodules. | Mohd Noman ALI Vinit Kumar SHARMA Ayazul HASAN | 2024 | Journal of Mathematical Research with Applications2024,44,1: | 0
