2Co-amorphous solid dispersion systems of lacidipine-spironolactone with improved dissolution rate and enhanced physical stability显示文摘Co-amorphous solid dispersion(C-ASD)systems have attracted great attention to improve the solubility of poorly soluble drugs,but the selection of an appropriate stabilizer to stabilize amorphous forms is still a huge challenge.Herein,C-ASD system of two clinical combined used drugs(lacidipine(LCDP)and spironolactone(SPL))as stabilizers to each other,was prepared by solvent evaporation method.The effects of variation in molar ratio of LCDP and SPL(3:1,1:1,1:3,1:6,and 1:9)on the drug release characteristics were explored.Polarized light microscopy(PLM),powder X-ray diffraction(PXRD),differential scanning calorimetry(DSC)and thermogravimetric analysis(TGA)were employed to evaluate the solid states.Prepared C-ASDs were further studied for their stability under the high humidity(RH 92.5%).Further analysis of C-ASDs via Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR)and Raman spectroscopy confirmed that hydrogen bond interactions between the two drugs played a significant role in maintaining the stability of the C-ASDs systems.Moreover,molecular dynamic(MD)simulations provided a clear insight into the stability mechanism at the molecular level.This study demonstrated the novel drug-drug C-ASDs systems is a promising formulation strategy for improved dissolution rate and enhanced physical stability of poorly soluble drugs.Zhaomeng Wang Mengchi Sun Tian Liu Zisen Gao Qing Ye Xiao Tan Yanxian Hou Jin Sun Dun Wang Zhonggui He 2019Asian Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences2019,14,1:2

7The Effect of siRNA-VEGF on the Growth of REC in Retina Pigment Epithelial Cell and Retinal Endothelial Cell Co-culture System显示文摘Purpose:To investigate the effect of small interfering RNA (siRNA)targeting VEGF of retinal pigment epithelium (RPE) cells on the growth activity of human retinal vascular endothelial cells (RECs) under a co-culture system.Methods:By applying the vector.(pGPU6)-based siRNA plasmid gene silence system,we specifically silenced VEGF expression of RPE cells (ARPE-19) through plasmid (pG-PU6-VEGFA-siRNA)transfection.Reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR) was applied for selecting the most efficient siRNA segment among three pGPU6-VEGF-siRNA groups (siRNA-1,siRNA-2 and siRNA-3).Treated RPE cells were co-cultured with RECs in a co-culture system made up of a 24-well culture plate and transwell inserts assembled inside During 7-day culture period,the growth ca-pacity of RECs were observed and tested in the form of cell counting assay.Three groups were established in this study:RPE cells transfected with pGPU6-VEGF-siRNA and co-cultured with RECs (group A),RPE cells transfected with siR-NA null vector and co-cultured with RECs (group B),and RECs cultured alone (group C).Results:After transfection,VEGF expression levels of RPE cells in three pGPU6-VEGF-siRNA groups (siRNA-1,siR-NA-2 and siRNA-3)evaluated by RT-PCR were 2.56 ±0.45,1.17 ±0.38 and 4.39 ±0.51,respectively (n =10).siRNA-2 was selected as the foremost segment for transfection (P < 0.05,SNK-q test).During the 7-day co-culture period,the influence upon the growth of RECs was observed.Growth curve of RECs under co-culture showed a lower growth rate in group A than in group B (P <0.05,dunnett's test),but no significant difference between group A and group C was noted (P>0.05,dunnett's test).RECs in group A proliferated muchfaster during the first four days post-transfection.Conclusion:Delivery of siRNA targeting VEGF plays an efficient role in down-regulating VEGF expression in RPE cells,therefore modulating the growth activity of RECs under a co-culture system in vitro.The application of this technique may provide novel evidence for the prevention and treatment of retinal neovascularization diseases.Jin Ma Zhaomeng Shen Qianru Zhang Tiepei Zhu Ke Yao 2011Eye Science2011,26,2:1
8Boosting nitrogen electrocatalytic fixation by three-dimensional TiO_(2-δ)N_δnanowire arrays显示文摘Owing to the environmental and inherent advantages,nitrogen reduction reaction(NRR)by electrocatalysts attracts global attention.The surface engineering is widely employed to enhance the electrocatalytic activity by atomic defects and heterostructure effects.A three-dimensional(3D)free-standing integrated electrode was fabricated by numerous nearly-single-crystal TiO_(2-δ)N_δnanowire arrays.Based on the high electronic conductivity network,it exposes numerous active sites as well to facilitate the selective nitrogen adsorption and*H adsorption suppression.The synergistic effects between Ti^(3+)and oxygen vacancy(O_v)boost the intrinsic catalytic activity,in which Ti^(3+)acquired electrons via Ovcan effectively activate the N≡N bond and make it easy to bind with protons.The energy barrier of primary protonation process(*N_(2)+H^(+)+e^(-)→*NNH)can be dramatically decreased.The highest ammonia yield rate(14.33μg h^(-1)mgcat^(-1))emerges at-0.2 V,while the optimal ammonia Faradaic efficiency(9.17%)is acquired at-0.1 V.Density functional theory(DFT)calculation reveals that the Ti^(3+)can be served as the active sites for nitrogen adsorption and activation,while ammonia synthesis is accomplished by the distal pathway.The high electronic conductivity integrated network and synergistic effects can significantly facilitate nitrogen absorption and accelerate electrocatalytic reaction kinetic,which are responsible for the excellent NRR performance at room temperature.Jianjia Mu Xuan-Wen Gao Zhaomeng Liu Wen-Bin Luo Zhenhua Sun Qinfen Gu Feng Li 2022Journal of Energy Chemistry2022,,12:1
9Flexible Hf_(0.5)Zr_(0.5)O_(2)ferroelectric thin films on polyimide with improved ferroelectricity and high flexibility显示文摘Flexible memory devices are promising for information storage and data processing applications in portable,wearable,and smart electronics operating under curved conditions.In this work,we realized high-performance flexible ferroelectric capacitors based on Hf_(0.5)Zr_(0.5)O_(2)(HZO)thin film by depositing a buffer layer of Al_(2)O_(3)on polyimide(PI)substrates using atomic layer deposition(ALD).The flexible ferroelectric HZO films exhibit high remnant polarization(Pr)of 21μC/cm^(2).Furthermore,deterioration of polarization,retention,and endurance performance was not observed even at a bending radius of 2 mm after 5,000 bending cycles.This work marks a critical step in the development of high-performance flexible HfO_(2)-based ferroelectric memories for next-generation wearable electronic devices.Yuting Chen Yang Yang Peng Yuan Pengfei Jiang Yuan Wang Yannan Xu Shuxian Lv Yaxin Ding Zhiwei Dang Zhaomeng Gao Tiancheng Gong Yan Wang Qing Luo 2022Nano Research2022,15,4:1
10Simulation investigations on the marble deterioration by sulphur dioxide显示文摘This paper deals with investigations on corrosion of marble SO2. We have simulated oxidation of SO2 by photochemical process in the atmosphere. The experiments indicate that formation of SO3 aerosols is related to the concentration of SO2, the UV light intensity, the time of irradiation and the humidity of the air. The corrosion feature of surfaces of the marble and the depth profiles of sulphur were obtained by SEM (Scanning electron microscope), EDXA (Energy-dispersive X-ray analyzer) and SIMS (Secondary ion mass spectrometer). 11Frequency dependence on polarization switching measurement in ferroelectric capacitors显示文摘Ferroelectric hysteresis loop measurement under high driving frequency generally faces great challenges.Parasitic factors in testing circuits such as leakage current and RC delay could result in abnormal hysteresis loops with erroneous rem-nant polarization(P_(r))and coercive field(E_(c)).In this study,positive-up-negative-down(PUND)measurement under a wide fre-quency range was performed on a 10-nm thick Hf_(0.5)Zr_(0.5)O_(2) ferroelectric film.Detailed analysis on the leakage current and RC delay was conducted as the polarization switching occurs in the FE capacitor.After considering the time lag caused by RC delay,reasonable calibration of current response over the voltage pulse stimulus was employed in the integral of polarization current over time.In such a method,rational P-V loops measured at high frequencies(>1 MHz)was successfully achieved.This work provides a comprehensive understanding on the effect of parasitic factors on the polarization switching behavior of FE films.Zhaomeng Gao Shuxian Lyu Hangbing Lyu 2022Journal of Semiconductors2022,43,1:0

13Efficacy of Combined Vitreous Surgery and Choroidal Suture Fixation on Choroidal Avulsion显示文摘Purpose:To evaluate the feasibility and efficacy of combined vitreous surgery and choroidal suture fixation on choroidal avulsion.Methods:A total of 21 patients.(21 eyes).with choroidal avulsion,secondary to open eye trauma and a history of one-stage eyeball wall closure were retrospectively evaluated in the present study.Preoperative findings included 3 to 7.5 mmHg(averagely 5.1±1.1mmHg) of intraocular pressure and presence/suspicion of visual light perception.Vitreo-retinal surgery in combination with choroidal suture fixation was conducted for these patients at 4 to 21 days(averagely 9.41±2.7 days) after the trauma.The postoperative follow-up lasted for 3 to 9 months(averagely 5.5±1.5 months).Results:The intraoperative findings indicated several choroid residuals with different densities attached on the sclera at the choroidal detachment area.Retinal proliferation/detachment,incarceration and/or partial retinal loss were also observed.Intraoperatively,the retina was separated and released,and the suture fixation outside the sclera in combination with intraocular photocoagulation and silicone oil filling were performed at the avulsed choroidal area.The suture fixation on the ciliary body was also introduced in some of the patients.At one month posteoperatively,a complete choroidal reattachment was achieved in 16 eyes(16/21,76.19%) and partial reattachment in the remaining 5 eyes.At the end of follow-up,partial choroidal redetachment was observed in 4 of 16 eyes(25%),resulting in complete reattachment in 12 eyes(12/21,57.1%) and partial reattachment in 9 eyes(9/21,33.34%).The complete choroidal reattachment rate at the end of follow-up was not significantly different from that observed at one month after the surgery.(Chi-square test,P<0.05),while the complete retinal reattachment rate at this time point was significantly lower than that at one month postoperatively(Chi-square test,P>0.05).Conclusion:Transscleral suture fixation serves as a reliable technique,particularly improving the choroidal reattachment rate in the choroidal avulsion.Jin Ma Yuhua Tong Zhaomeng Shen Panpan Ye 2011Eye Science2011,26,3:0
14Comparison on Clinical Characteristics of Multifocal Choroiditis and Punctate Inner Choroidopathy显示文摘Purpose:To compare the differences in the clinical characteristics of multifocal choroiditis(MFC) and punctate inner choriodopathy(PIC).Methods:A cross-sectional study,consisting of 22 cases(37 eyes) with MFC and 11 cases(18 eyes) with PIC,was carried out.Multiple indexes were measured and analysed to compare the differences in clinical characteristics of the subjects between two groups,including BCVA,avergae age,sex composition,presence of intraocular inflammation,choroidal neovascularization(CNV),and intraocular inflammation complications,such as cataract,cystoid macular edema(CME) and epiretinal membrane(ERM).Results:The avergae age of the MFC and PIC patients were(48.1±13.9) years and(32.1±10.2) years with a significant difference(P=0.043).CNV occurred more frequently in patients with PIC(PIC,55.6%;MFC,21.6%;P=0.016) compared with those with MFC.MFC patients had a higher frequency of intraocular inflammation complications,such as,cataract(27.0%),CME(35.1%),ERM(5.4%).PIC patients presented none of these complications.MFC subjects presented with more visual impairments than PIC patients.Totally 51.4% of MFC patients had visual impairments and 22.2% of PIC patients had BCVA < 0.3(P=0.047).Conclusion:Both MFC and PIC are categorized into the umbrella term of 'white spot syndromes'.Although sharing similar ocular expressions,they present with different clinical characteristics.Patients with PIC had a higher frequency of CNV but a lower frequency of structural complications caused by intraocular inflammation and lower frequency of visual impairments compared with MFC counterparts.Zhaomeng Shen linyi Zhang Zhiguo Li Xian Zhang Hongbo Cui 2011Eye Science2011,26,3:0

17P7C3-A20 treats traumatic brain injury in rats by inhibiting excessive autophagy and apoptosis显示文摘Traumatic brain injury is a severe health problem leading to autophagy and apoptosis in the brain.3,6-Dibromo-beta-fluoro-N-(3-methoxyphenyl)-9H-carbazole-9-propanamine(P7C3-A20)can be neuroprotective in various diseases,including ischemic stroke and neurodegenerative diseases.However,whether P7C3-A20 has a therapeutic effect on traumatic brain injury and its possible molecular mechanisms are unclear.Therefore,in the present study,we investigated the therapeutic effects of P7C3-A20 on traumatic brain injury and explored the putative underlying molecular mechanisms.We established a traumatic brain injury rat model using a modified weight drop method.P7C3-A20 or vehicle was injected intraperitoneally after traumatic brain injury.Severe neurological deficits were found in rats after traumatic brain injury,with deterioration in balance,walking function,and learning memory.Furthermore,hematoxylin and eosin staining showed significant neuronal cell damage,while terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase mediated dUTP nick end labeling staining indicated a high rate of apoptosis.The presence of autolysosomes was observed using transmission electron microscope.P7C3-A20 treatment reversed these pathological features.Western blotting showed that P7C3-A20 treatment reduced microtubule-associated protein 1 light chain 3-Ⅱ(LC3-Ⅱ)autophagy protein,apoptosis-related proteins(namely,Bcl-2/adenovirus E1B 19-kDa-interacting protein 3[BNIP3],and Bcl-2 associated x protein[Bax]),and elevated ubiquitin-binding protein p62(p62)autophagy protein expression.Thus,P7C3-A20 can treat traumatic brain injury in rats by inhibiting excessive autophagy and apoptosis.Zhiqing Yang Zhenchao Wang Xiaoqi Deng Lingxin Zhu Zhaomeng Song Changyu Cao Xinran Li 2024Neural Regeneration Research2024,19,5:0

19Electro-spraying/spinning: A novel battery manufacturing technology显示文摘Lithium-ion battery(LIB) industry seems to have met its bottle neck in cutting down producing costs even though much efforts have been put into building a complete industrial chain. Actually, manufacturing methods can greatly affect the cost of battery production. Up to now, lithium ion battery producers still adopt manufacturing methods with cumbersome sub-components preparing processes and costly assembling procedures, which will undoubtedly elevate the producing cost. Herein, we propose a novel approach to directly assemble battery components(cathode, anode and separator) in an integrated way using electro-spraying and electro-spinning technologies. More importantly, this novel battery manufacturing method can produce LIBs in large scale, and the products show excellent mechanical strength, flexibility, thermal stability and electrolyte wettability. Additionally, the performance of the as-prepaed Li Fe PO_(4)||graphite full cell produced by this new method is comparable or even better than that produced by conventional manufacturing approach.
