1Roles of Chemokine Receptor 4 (CXCR4) and Chemokine Ligand 12 (CXCL12) in Metastasis of Hepatocellular Carcinoma Cells显示文摘Chemokines are involved in human hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) carcinogenesis. However, the exact mechanism of chemokines in HCC carcinogenesis remains unknown. Here we investigated the roles of chemokine receptor 4 (CXCR4) and chemokine ligand 12 (CXCL12) in the metastasis of HCC. We found that the expression levels of CXCR4 mRNA in HCC tissues, MHCC97 cells, and HUVEC cells were 2.52 ± 1.13, 2.34 ± 1.16 and 1.63 ± 1.26, respectively and that the CXCR4 protein levels were 1.38 ± 0.13, 1.96 ± 0.32 and 1.86 ± 0.21, respectively. In contrast, CXCR4 was not detected in normal hepatic tissues. In 78 HCC patients, we also found that the concentration of CXCL12 in cancerous ascitic fluid was 783-8,364 pg/ml and that CXCL12 mRNA level in HCC metastasis portal lymph nodes was 1.21 ± 0.87 but undetectable in normal hepatic tissues. Finally we discovered that recombinant human CXCL12 could induce MHCC97 cells and HUVEC cells to migrate with chemotactic indexes (CI) of 3.9 ± 1.1 and 4.1 ± 1.6, respectively. Cancerous ascitic fluid could also induce the migration of MHCC97 cells with a CI of 1.9 ± 0.8. 2A parameterized geometry design method for inward turning inlet compatible waverider显示文摘Intensive studies have been carried out on generations of waverider geometry and hypersonic inlet geometry.However,integration efforts of waverider and related air-intake system are restricted majorly around the X43A-like or conical flow feld induced confguration,which adopts mainly the two-dimensional air-breathing technology and limits the judicious visions of developing new aerodynamic profles for hypersonic designers.A novel design approach for integrating the inward turning inlet with the traditional parameterized waverider is proposed.The proposed method is an alternative means to produce a compatible confguration by linking the off-the-shelf results on both traditional waverider techniques and inward turning inlet techniques.A series of geometry generations and optimization solutions is proposed to enhance the lift-to-drag ratio.A quantitative but effcient aerodynamic performance evaluation approach(the hypersonic flow panel method) with lower computational cost is employed to play the role of objective function for optimization purpose.The produced geometry compatibility with a computational fluid dynamics(CFD) solver is also verifed for detailed flow feld investigation.Optimization results and other numerical validations are obtained for the feasibility demonstration of the proposed method.Tian Chao Li Ni Gong Guanghong Su Zeya 2013Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2013,26,5:4
3Impact of pathological response after preoperative transcatheter arterial chemoembolization(TACE)on incidences of microvascular invasion and early tumor recurrence in hepatocellular carcinoma:a multicenter propensity score matching analysis显示文摘Background:To study the influence of pathological responses(PR)after transcatheter arterial chemoembolization(TACE)on incidences of microvascular invasion(MVI)and early recurrence in hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)patients.Methods:Between 2013 to 2015,consecutive HCC patients who underwent liver resection with“curative”intent at three hospitals were enrolled in this study.Patients with different areas of PR after preoperative TACE were compared with those without preoperative TACE on the incidences of MVI,early recurrence rates and patterns of recurrence before and after propensity score matching(PSM).Results:Of 1,970 patients,737 patients who received preoperative TACE were divided into three groups according to the areas of PR:≥90%(n=226),60-90%(n=447),and<60%(n=64).PR≥90%was an independent protective factor of incidences of MVI[odds ratio(OR),0.144;95%confidence interval(CI),0.082-0.245,P<0.001)and early recurrence(HR,0.742;95%CI,0.561-0.963,P=0.032);while PR<60%was an independent risk factor of incidences of MVI(OR,6.076;95%CI,3.004-11.728,P<0.001)and early recurrence(HR,1.428;95%CI,1.095-1.929;P=0.009).Furthermore,patients with PR<60%were significantly more likely to develop multiple intrahepatic recurrences involving multiple hepatic segments when compared with patients without preoperative TACE.Conclusions:This study indicated the area of PR after TACE was closely associated with the incidences of MVI and early tumor recurrence.Patients with PR<60%were at significantly higher risks of having more MVI,early and multiple tumor recurrences.Yun Yang Zheng Dang Peng Lu Youwen Qian Kongying Lin Zeya Pan Wan Yee Lau Weiping Zhou 2022Hepatobiliary Surgery and Nutrition2022,11,3:2
4A self-standing,UV-cured semi-interpenetrating polymer network reinforced composite gel electrolytes for dendrite-suppressing lithium ion batteries显示文摘A self-standing,flexible and lithium dendrite growth-suppressing composite gel polymer electrolyte membrane was designed for the use of room-temperature lithium ion batteries.The multi-functional composite semi-interpenetrating polymer network(referred to as“Cs-IPN”)electrolyte membrane was fabricated by combining a UV-cured ethoxylated trimethylolpropane triacrylate(ETPTA)macromer with alumina nanoparticles in the presence of liquid electrolyte and thermoplastic linear poly(ethylene oxide)(PEO).The polymer electrolyte membrane exhibits a semi-interpenetrating polymer network structure and a higher room temperature ionic conductivity,which impart the electrolyte with a significant cycling(120 mAh g^(-1)after 200 cycles)and a remarkable rate(137 mAh g^(-1)at 0.1℃,130 mAh g^(-1)at 0.5℃,119 mAh g^(-1)at 1℃ and 100 mAh g^(-1)at 2℃)performance in Li/LiFePO4 battery.More importantly,the polymer electrolyte possesses superior ability to inhibit the growth of lithium dendrites,which makes it promising for next generation lithium ion batteries.Ruiping Liu Zirui Wu Peng He Haoyu Fan Zeya Huang Lei Zhang Xinshuang Chang Hang Liu Chang-an Wang Yutao Li 2019Journal of Materiomics2019,5,2:2

16Lanthanum doped octacalcium phosphate/polylactic acid scaffold fabricated by 3D printing for bone tissue engineering显示文摘Lanthanum(La)has tremendous potential in the treatment and prevention of bone diseases especially osteoporosis and metabolic disorders.However,controlling its distribution and keeping the release of La^(3+)ions sustained and steady in the body is still a big challenge.In this study,we prepared La-OCP powders via co-precipitation method,and further prepared La-OCP/PLA porous scaffolds by 3 D printing.La^(3+)was successfully introduced into the OCP crystal structure and substituted Ca^(2+)at the Ca-5 and Ca-8 sites.In particular,some La^(3+)ions were deposited on the crystal surface in the form of nanoparticles.Both octacalcium phosphate(OCP,Ca_(8)H_(2)(PO_(4))_6·5 H_(2)O)crystals and nanoparticles played as the carriers for La^(3+)ions.The La-OCP/PLA scaffolds displayed obvious mineralization effects and sustained release of La^(3+).The scaffolds contained a uniform structure with rough micro surface topography which acted as a suitable pathway for BMSCs cells to adhere,grow and proliferation.At a certain La^(3+)concentration,the extracts from La-OCP/PLA scaffolds increased the expression of osteogenesis-related genes,thus promoting the osteogenic differentiation of BMSCs.Moreover,the extracts regulated the immune responses.The experiment in vivo proved that La-OCP/PLA porous scaffolds were safe and could enhance bone defect regeneration in vivo.These findings suggest that 3 D printed La-OCP/PLA porous scaffolds have promising potentials in bone tissue engineering.Zeya Xu Bin Lin Chaoqian Zhao Yanjin Lu Tingting Huang Yan Chen Jungang Li Rongcan Wu Wenge Liu Jinxin Lin 2022Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,23:1
17Key emergency response technologies for abrupt air pollution accidents in China显示文摘Abrupt air pollution accidents can endanger people’s health and destroy the local ecological environment.The appropriate emergency response can minimize the harmful effects of accidents and protect people’s lives and property.This paper provides an overview of the key emergency response technologies for abrupt air pollution accidents around the globe with emphasis on the major achievements that China has obtained in recent years.With decades of effort,China has made significant progress in emergency monitoring technologies and equipment,source estimation technologies,pollutant dispersion simulation technologies and others.Many effective domestic emergency monitoring instruments(e.g.,portable DOAS/FT-IR systems,portable FID/PID systems,portable GC-MS systems,scanning imaging remote sensing systems,and emergency monitoring vehicles)had been developed which can meet the demands for routine emergency response activities.A monitoring layout technique combining air dispersion simulation,fuzzy comprehensive evaluation,and a post-optimality analysis was proposed to identify the optimal monitoring layout scheme under the constraints of limited monitoring resources.Multiple source estimation technologies,including the forward method and the inversion method,have been established and evaluated under various scenarios.Multi-scale dynamic pollution dispersion simulation systems with high temporal and spatial resolution were further developed.A comprehensive emergency response platform integrating database support,source estimation,monitoring schemes,fast monitoring of pollutants,pollution predictions and risk assessment was developed based on the technical idea of'source identification-model simulation-environmental monitoring'dynamic interactive feedback.It is expected that the emergency response capability for abrupt air pollution accidents will gradually improve in China.Jun Duan Shushuai Mao Pinhua Xie Jianlei Lang Ang Li Jingjing Tong Min Qin Jin Xu Zeya Shen 2023Journal of Environmental Sciences2023,,1:1
