1Fe_3O_4/g-C_3N_4复合催化剂增强芬顿/光-芬顿和类过氧化酶反应的活性及稳定性(英文)显示文摘石墨相的氮化碳(g-C_3N_4)已被广泛用于光催化、水分解、光子检测器、电池、以及光电阴极.与其他光催化材料相比,g-C_3N_4具有价格低廉,易制备,无毒无污染等优点.此外,C_3N_4具有适宜的带隙(2.7 eV),能有效地吸收可见光.有关C_3N_4的光催化研究很多,但是其降解效率受限于电子空穴对的快速复合.因此,为了提高C_3N_4光催化反应效率,需要对其进行改性.磁铁矿(Fe_3O_4)广泛用于光催化和芬顿/光-芬顿反应.Fe_3O_4晶体具有反式尖晶石结构,其中Fe^(2+)和Fe^(3+)同时存在.研究表明,磁铁矿在酸性条件下催化效果显著,然而,它的比表面积小,随着反应时间的推移,铁离子会溶出,不利于有机物降解反应.因此,近来许多研究着重于磁铁矿复合物的制备,以提高磁铁矿的稳定性及催化性能.本文通过惰性氛围高温焙烧三聚氰胺制备了g-C_3N_4,再通过氯化铁和乙酸钠在乙醇中于180°C溶剂热反应,制备Fe_3O_4纳米粒子,最后通过静电自组装过程制备出Fe_3O_4/g-C_3N_4纳米复合材料.利用X射线衍射(XRD),扫描电子显微镜(SEM)及X射线光电子光谱(XPS)等手段验证其组成和结构.XRD结果表明,Fe_3O_4/g-C_3N_4复合材料中可以清晰看到Fe_3O_4和g-C_3N_4的衍射峰,说明这两种材料的晶相得以保持.SEM和TEM结果表明,Fe_3O_4纳米颗粒很好地附着在g-C_3N_4薄片上.XPS结果表明,氮化碳中存在典型的三种N峰;此外还存在铁的两种价态.光-芬顿活性测试中,相同条件下,Fe_3O_4/g-C_3N_4在60 min内将罗丹明B(RhB)几乎降解完全,而单组份的Fe_3O_4或g-C_3N_4对RhB的降解小于50%.可见,复合后的Fe_3O_4/g-C_3N_4光催化性能得到很大提升.单g-C_3N_4本身由于快速的电子空穴复合以及对双氧水的弱亲和力,因而对Rh B降解效果差.单独的Fe_3O_4由于在中性或者碱性条件下反而会抑制光催化芬顿活性.对于制备的Fe_3O_4/g-C_3N_4复合材料,具有以下优点:(1)电子在Fe^(3+)和g-C_3N_4的LUMO轨道上的转移降低了电子-空穴对的复合;(2)Fe_3O_4均匀分布在g-C_3N_4上,对于H_2O_2的吸附提供了有利的高比表面积;(3)Fe_3O_4和g-C_3N_4之间的界面相互作用使得Fe_3O_4的稳定性提高.通过降解RhB的动力学研究,得到反应速率为0.02 min^(–1),属准一级反应.分析检测结果表明,光-芬顿反应后,RhB分子被彻底矿化降解,没有中间产物生成,最终降解为CO_2和水.同时,通过对辣根过氧化物酶(HRP)模拟催化进行测试,以3,3',5,5'-四甲基联苯胺盐酸盐(TMB)作为基质,同时添加双氧水和Fe_3O_4/g-C_3N_4,在pH值为4.5条件下,TMB可以被有效氧化.实验表明,Fe_3O_4/g-C_3N_4添加量为25 mg/ml时,对TMB氧化性能最佳.复合催化剂还用于多巴胺的催化氧化反应.结果表明,多巴胺的氧化反应速率常数为1.21 min^(–1),属一级动力学反应.总之,复合材料提高了Rh B的光催化降解活性和稳定性;对TMB和HRP亲和性好,表现出高的类过氧化酶反应活性;有效的多巴胺氧化反应表明其有望用于生物基氧化反应中.实验结果表明,本文发展的Fe_3O_4/g-C_3N_4复合材料为其他类型复合材料的制备与应用提供了新的思路.Shafaq Sahar Akif Zeb 刘亚男 Naseeb Ullah 徐安武 2017Chinese Journal of Catalysis2017,38,12:8
2NAFLD prevalence differs among hispanic subgroups:The multi-ethnic study of atherosclerosis显示文摘AIM:To compare prevalence rates of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD)between Hispanics of Mexican origin and Hispanics of Dominican and Puerto Rican origin.METHODS:We evaluated prevalence rates of NAFLD between the two largest sub-populations of Hispanics in the United States;Hispanics of Mexican origin and Hispanics of Caribbean origin(Dominican and Puerto Rican),in the multi-ethnic study of atherosclerosis(MESA)cohort.MESA is a large,population based,multi-center cohort study comprised of 6814 healthy Caucasian,African-American,Hispanic,and Asian men and women aged 45-84.We utilized the baseline serum,anthropometric and radiographic measurements obtained between 2000 and 2002.NAFLD was measured via computed tomography scan and was defined as liver/spleen attenuation ratio<1.RESULTS:There were 788 Hispanic participants included in the study after exclusions.The prevalence of NAFLD was 29%(n=225).Hispanics of Mexican origin had a significantly higher prevalence of NAFLD(33%),compared to Hispanics of Dominican origin(16%),(P<0.01)and Hispanics of Puerto Rican origin(18%),(P<0.01).After controlling for age,sex,BMI,waist circumference,hypertension,serum HDL,triglyceride and CRP level and insulin resistance,Hispanics of Mexican origin remained significantly more likely to have NAFLD than those of Dominican and Puerto Rican origin.CONCLUSION:United States Hispanics of Mexican origin have a significantly higher prevalence of NAFLD when compared to United States Hispanics of Dominican or Puerto Rican origin after controlling for known risk factors.Care should be taken when performing risk assessment in Hispanic populations not to make assumptions of homogeneity.Michael Wayne Fleischman Matthew Budoff Ifran Zeb Dong Li Temitope Foster 2014World Journal of Gastroenterology2014,20,17:5
3The interaction of CaM7 and CNGC14 regulates root hair growth in Arabidopsis显示文摘Oscillations in cytosolic free calcium determine the polarity of tip-growing root hairs.The Ca2+channel cyclic nucleotide gated channel 14(CNGC14)contributes to the dynamic changes in Ca^2+concentration gradient at the root hair tip.However,the mechanisms that regulate CNGC14 are unknown.In this study,we detected a direct interaction between calmodulin 7(CaM7)and CNGC14 through yeast two-hybrid and bimolecular fluorescence complementation assays.We demonstrated that the third EF-hand domain of CaM7 specifically interacts with the cytosolic C-terminal domain of CNGC14.A two-electrode voltage clamp assay showed that CaM7 completely inhibitsCNGC14-mediated Ca2+influx,suggesting that CaM7 neg-atively regulates CNGC14-mediated calcium signaling.Fur-thermore,CaM7 overexpressing lines phenocopy the short root hair phenotype of a cngc14 mutant and this phenotype is insensitive to changes in external Ca^2+concentrations.We,thus,identified CaM7-CNGC14 as a novel interacting module that regulates polar growth in root hairs by con-trolling the tip-focused Ca2+signal.Qudsia Zeb Xiaohan Wang Congcong Hou Xiwen Zhang Mengqi Dong Sisi Zhang Qian Zhang Zhijie Ren Wang Tian Huifen Zhu Legong Li Liangyu Liu 2020Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2020,62,7:3
4Chemical characterization and source apportionment of PM_(1) and PM_(2.5) in Tianjin, China: Impacts of biomass burning and primary biogenic sources显示文摘The submicron particulate matter(PM_(1))and fine particulate matter(PM_(2.5))are very important due to their greater adverse impacts on the natural environment and human health.In this study,the daily PM_(1) and PM_(2.5) samples were collected during early summer 2018 at a sub-urban site in the urban-industrial port city of Tianjin,China.The collected samples were analyzed for the carbonaceous fractions,inorganic ions,elemental species,and specific marker sugar species.The chemical characterization of PM_(1) and PM_(2.5) was based on their concentrations,compositions,and characteristic ratios(PM_(1)/PM_(2.5),AE/CE,NO3^-/SO4^2-,OC/EC,SOC/OC,OM/TCA,K^+/EC,levoglucosan/K^+,V/Cu,and V/Ni).The average concentrations of PM_(1) and PM_(2.5) were 32.4μg/m and 53.3μg/m^3,and PM_(1) constituted 63%of PM_(2.5) on average.The source apportionment of PM_(1) and PM_(2.5) by positive matrix factorization(PMF)model indicated the main sources of secondary aerosols(25%and 34%),biomass burning(17%and 20%),traffic emission(20%and 14%),and coal combustion(17%and 14%).The biomass burning factor involved agricultural fertilization and waste incineration.The biomass burning and primary biogenic contributions were determined by specific marker sugar species.The anthropogenic sources(combustion,secondary particle formation,etc)contributed significantly to PM_(1) and PM_(2.5),and the natural sources were more evident in PM_(2.5).This work significantly contributes to the chemical characterization and source apportionment of PM_(1) and PM_(2.5) in near-port cities influenced by the diverse sources.Jahan Zeb Khan Long Sun Yingze Tian Guoliang Shi Yinchang Feng 2021Journal of Environmental Sciences2021,33,1:3
5Comparative plastid genomics of Pinus species:Insights into sequence variations and phylogenetic relationships显示文摘Pinus L.is the largest genus of conifers and provides a classical model for studying species divergence and phylogenetic evolution by gymnosperms.However,our poor understanding of sequence divergence in the whole plastid genomes of Pinus species severely hinders studies of their evolution and phylogeny.Thus,we analyzed the sequences of 97 Pinus plastid genomes,including four newly sequenced genomes and 93 previously published plastomes,to explore the evolution and phylogenetic relationships in the genus Pinus.The complete chloroplast genomes of Pinus species ranged in size from 109640 bp(P.cembra L.)to 121976 bp(P.glabra Walter),and these genomes comprised circular DNA molecules in a similar manner to those of most gymnosperms.We identified 9108 repeats where most of the repeats comprised the dispersed type with 3983(44%),followed by tandem repeats with 2999(33%),and then palindromic repeats with 2126(23%).Sixteen divergence hotspot regions were identified in Pinus plastid genomes,which could be useful molecular markers for future population genetics studies.Phylogenetic analysis showed that Pinus species could be divided into two diverged clades comprising the subgenera Strobus(single needle section)and Pinus(double needles section).Molecular dating suggested that the genus Pinus originated approximately 130.38 Mya during the late Cretaceous.The two subgenera subsequently split 85.86 Mya,which was largely consistent with the other molecular results based on partial DNA markers.These findings provide important insights into the sequence variations and phylogenetic evolution of Pinus plastid genomes.Umar Zeb Wan-Lin Dong Ting-Ting Zhang Ruo-Nan Wang Khurram Shahzad Xiong-Feng Ma Zhong-Hu Li 2020Journal of Systematics and Evolution2020,58,2:3
6Dynamics of oil price shocks and stock market behavior in Pakistan:evidence from the 2007 financial crisis period显示文摘Background:The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of the oil price and its volatility on the stock market of Pakistan before and after the 2007 financial crisis period.Methods:The analyses are carried out on daily data for the period from July 31,2000 to July 31,2014.This study uses several econometric techniques for the analyses,namely,the Johansen-Juselius cointegration test,generalized autoregressive conditional heteroskedasticity(GARCH)model,exponential generalized autoregressive conditional heteroskedasticity(EGARCH)model,variance decomposition method,and impulse response function.Results:The results of the cointegration method indicate a significant long-run association between stock market and oil prices in the pre-crisis period.The EGARCH model shows that oil price returns have a significant effect on stock market returns in both sub-periods,while the result for the GARCH model is significant only in the postcrisis period.We find a significant effect of oil price volatility on the stock market in both sub-periods from the GARCH model.Furthermore,the EGARCH model shows an asymmetric effect of oil price volatility on the stock market in the pre-crisis period.Variance decomposition shows that stock market variations are mostly explained by selfinnovation.Moreover,the impulse response function results show that oil price shocks affected the stock market adversely in the pre-crisis period but positively in the postcrisis period.Conclusions:This study suggests that economic policymakers and investors should consider the oil price as an important factor affecting stock market returns.Khalil Jebran Shihua Chen Gohar Saeed Alam Zeb 2017Financial Innovation2017,3,1:2

9Machine Learning Approach for COVID-19 Detection on Twitter显示文摘Social networking services(SNSs)provide massive data that can be a very influential source of information during pandemic outbreaks.This study shows that social media analysis can be used as a crisis detector(e.g.,understanding the sentiment of social media users regarding various pandemic outbreaks).The novel Coronavirus Disease-19(COVID-19),commonly known as coronavirus,has affected everyone worldwide in 2020.Streaming Twitter data have revealed the status of the COVID-19 outbreak in the most affected regions.This study focuses on identifying COVID-19 patients using tweets without requiring medical records to find the COVID-19 pandemic in Twitter messages(tweets).For this purpose,we propose herein an intelligent model using traditional machine learning-based approaches,such as support vector machine(SVM),logistic regression(LR),naïve Bayes(NB),random forest(RF),and decision tree(DT)with the help of the term frequency inverse document frequency(TF-IDF)to detect the COVID-19 pandemic in Twitter messages.The proposed intelligent traditional machine learning-based model classifies Twitter messages into four categories,namely,confirmed deaths,recovered,and suspected.For the experimental analysis,the tweet data on the COVID-19 pandemic are analyzed to evaluate the results of traditional machine learning approaches.A benchmark dataset for COVID-19 on Twitter messages is developed and can be used for future research studies.The experiments show that the results of the proposed approach are promising in detecting the COVID-19 pandemic in Twitter messages with overall accuracy,precision,recall,and F1 score between 70%and 80%and the confusion matrix for machine learning approaches(i.e.,SVM,NB,LR,RF,and DT)with the TF-IDF feature extraction technique.Samina Amin M.Irfan Uddin Heyam H.Al-Baity M.Ali Zeb M.Abrar Khan 2021Computers, Materials & Continua2021,,8:1
