Influence of Environmental Conditions on the Sound Velocity Ratio of Seafloor Surficial Sediment显示文摘In this work,we investigated the influences of salinity, temperature, and hydrostatic pressure on the acoustics of seafloor surficial sediment by theoretically and experimentally analyzing the sound velocity ratio of the seafloor sediment to the bottom sea-water in typical environmental conditions.Temperature-and pressure-controlled experiments were conducted to examine the charac-teristics of the sound velocity ratio, the results of which agree with the theoretical analysis using the effective density fluid model.Of the three environmental factors considered, the sound velocity ratio was found to be sensitive to temperature and pressure but not to salinity, with the sound velocity ratio decreasing with temperature and hydrostatic pressure. With respect to surficial sediments, pore water plays a key role in the sound velocity ratio of sediment influenced by different environmental factors. The sound velocities of different types of sediments(sandy, silty, and clayey)change similarly with temperature, but change slightly differently with hydro-static pressure. The influence of environmental factors on the sound velocity ratio of seafloor sediment is independent of the detec-tion frequency. The results show that the sound velocity ratio can change up to 0.0008 per℃ when the temperature ranges from 2℃ to 25℃ and up to 0.00064MPa−1 when the seawater depth pressure ranges from 0MPa to 40MPa. | ZOU Dapeng ZENG Ziwen KAN Guangming LIU Wei XIAO Tibing | 2021 | Journal of Ocean University of China2021,20,3: | 2
Study on Wall Temperature Distribution of Oscillating Tube显示文摘The wall temperature distribution and heat transfer process of the oscillating tube have been investigated in thispaper using both numerical simulation and experimental method. The wall temperature of oscillating tube increasesrapidly in the inlet and then decreases slowly, moreover, the rally phenomenon of wall temperature nearthe closed end is observed. With the increase of jet flow frequency, the highest wall temperature increases and thelocation of that moves towards the inlet. The velocity of pressure wave in the oscillating tube almost remainsconstant even its intensity changes. The quantity of heat transfer between the gas and inner wall of the oscillatingtube determines the wall temperature of every location, and the pressure wave disturbance can cause the heattransfer quantity change. Each pressure wave has its own disturbance range. The wall temperature distribution canbe explained by the change of pressure wave intensity and its disturbance time. Besides, the step and rally of walltemperature are discussed, which shows that the conditions of heat transfer can be improved due to intersection orreflection of pressure waves. | Dapeng HU Peiqi LIU Wenjing ZHAO Che ZHU Yudong WANG Yuqiang DAI Jiupeng ZOU | 2009 | Journal of Thermal Science2009,18,3: | 2
Feasibility of Intermediate Fluid Vaporizer with Spiral Wound Tubes显示文摘A novel intermediate fluid vaporization (IFV) technology for LNG re-gasification process with spiral-wound heat exchanging tubes is proposed. The new IFV project combines the advantage of running the shell and tube heat exchangers at high pressure with the advantage of compact space of heat exchangers. Thermal analysis on the two processes of forced convection and vaporization type heat transfer in the spiral wound tubes and vapor condensation /re-boiling type of heat transfer via intermediate fluid in shell side shows the feasibility of this promising technology. | Liu Fengxia Dai Yuqiang Wei Wei Zou Jiupeng Zhu Che Dong Chao Hu Dapeng | 2013 | China Petroleum Processing & Petrochemical Technology2013,15,1: | 2
HIV-1 Vif suppresses antiviral immunity by targeting STING显示文摘HIV-1 infection-induced cGAS–STING–TBK1–IRF3 signaling activates innate immunity to produce type I interferon(IFN).The HIV-1 nonstructural protein viral infectivity factor(Vif)is essential in HIV-1 replication,as it degrades the host restriction factor APOBEC3G.However,whether and how it regulates the host immune response remains to be determined. In this study,we found that Vif inhibited the production of type I IFN to promote immune evasion.HIV-1 infection induced the activation of the host tyrosine kinase FRK,which subsequently phosphorylated the immunoreceptor tyrosine-based inhibitory motif(ITIM)of Vif and enhanced the interaction between Vif and the cellular tyrosine phosphatase SHP-1 to inhibit type I IFN.Mechanistically, the association of Vif with SHP-1 facilitated SHP-1 recruitment to STING and inhibited the K63-linked ubiquitination of STING at Lys337 by dephosphorylating STING at Tyr162.However,the FRK inhibitor D-65495 counteracted the phosphorylation of Vif to block the immune evasion of HIV-1 and antagonize infection. These findings reveal a previously unknown mechanism through which HIV-1 evades antiviral immunity via the ITIM-containing protein to inhibit the posttranslational modification of STING.These results provide a molecular basis for the development of new therapeutic strategies to treat HIV-1 infection. | Yu Wang Gui Qian Lingyan Zhu Zhuo Zhao Yinan Liu Wendong Han Xiaokai Zhang Yihua Zhang Tingrong Xiong Hao Zeng Xianghui Yu Xiaofang Yu Xiaoyan Zhang Jianqing Xu Quanming Zou Dapeng Yan | 2022 | Cellular & Molecular Immunology2022,19,1: | 2

Summery Intra-Tidal Variations of Suspended Sediment Transportation–Topographical Response and Dynamical Mechanism in the Aoshan Bay and Surrounding Area,Shandong Peninsula显示文摘As the second largest bay in Qingdao, the Aoshan Bay and its adjacent sea area play an important role in aquaculture development and urban land and sea coordination for the eastern gulf type of city in the Qingdao Blue Silicon Valley Core Area(QBSVCA).Based on in-situ sedimentary dynamical observation and previous research results, the thermohaline structure, the transportation of suspended sediment and its mechanism, and the coastal geomorphic response were elaborated and analyzed in detail in this paper. The result indicated that the thermohaline and density distribution have obvious intra-tidal characteristics in the QBSVCA and the adjacent waters of the islands, during summer neap tide stage. The development of the bottom high suspended sediment concentration(SSC)layer was slightly enhanced in flood slack at each of the four stations.Suspended sediment transportation near the QBSVCA is related closely with the vertical mixing-stratification mechanism.Combined with previous research results, this study once again showed that submarine topography and the grain size of sea bed sediments would respond to hydrodynamic forces. The medians of the bottom E and D50 in the Aoshan Bay were the highest, followed by those in the Daguan Island and Xiaoguan Island, and the data in the Laoshan Bay were the lowest. This showed that the capacity of suspended sediment transportation in the bottom water layer of the Aoshan Bay was stronger than that of the adjacent sea area. The re-suspension and migration of fine sediments lead to the strong coarsening of sediments in this area. | WANG Yan DOU Yanguang ZOU Liang GAO Fei SU Dapeng HU Rui YUE Baojing XUE Biying | 2021 | Journal of Ocean University of China2021,20,6: | 0
Effect of Temperature on the Acoustic Reflection Characteristics of Seafloor Surface Sediments显示文摘Because the sound speeds of seawater and seafloor sediment both increase with temperature, the influence of tempera-ture on the bottom reflection characteristics of seafloor sediments needs to be investigated.Based on the calculation of the temperature-controlled experimental measurement data of typical seafloor surface sediment samples, the temperature-dependent acoustic characteristics, including acoustic impedance, acoustic impedance ratio between surface sediment and seawater, and reflection coefficient, were analyzed. The effective density fluid model was used to analyze and explain the reflection coefficient variation of surface sediments with temperature and predict the dispersion characteristics. Results show that the acoustic impedance of the seabed sediment increases with temperature, whereas the acoustic impedance ratio and acoustic reflection coefficient slightly decrease. The acoustic impedance, acoustic impedance ratio, and acoustic reflection coefficient of sandy, silty, and clayey sediments vary similarly with tem-perature variation. Moreover, the influence of temperature on these acoustic characteristics is independent of detection frequencies. | ZOU Dapeng YE Guican LIU Wei SUN Han LI Jun XIAO Tibing | 2022 | Journal of Ocean University of China2022,21,1: | 0
Engineered SNAP-MBD2b proteins for specific recognition of methylated DNA显示文摘Methyl-CpG-binding domain(MBD)proteins can specifically recognize and bind methylated CpG sites of DNA,thus repress gene transcription. In this study,we designed and expressed two recombinant proteins,MBD2b and SNAP-MBD2b,in E.coli.An optimized protocol was developed to purify the proteins using Ni-NTA affinity cartridge and cation exchange resin. The engineered proteins purified by this method exhibited more than 93%purity and high binding avidity. We found that both SNAP-MBD2b and MBD2b were prone to aggregate during dialysis. However, this could be prevented by the use of 0.3 mol/L NaCl.The fusion of SNAP-tag with MBD2b significantly enhanced the expression of MBD2b protein in E.coli and reduced the adsorption of MBD2b on solid interfaces involved in protein purification and immobilization. The engineered proteins can be used for the study of interaction with methylated DNA and the assays for DNA methylation. | ZOU DanDan WANG XiaoLi CHEN ZhiLan ZHANG DaPeng WANG HaiLin | 2014 | Science China Chemistry2014,57,7: | 0
Experimental study of near-bed concentration and sediment vertical mixing parameter for vertical concentration distribution in the surf zone显示文摘Two formulae for the near-bed concentration(Ca)and the sediment vertical mixing parameter(m)are established based on a large scale wave flume experiment. The advantage of the new formulae is that the turbulent kinetic energy induced by wave breaking can be taken into account;the formula for Ca is in terms of the near-bed,time-averaged turbulent kinetic energy, and the formula for m is in terms of depth-and time-averaged turbulent kinetic energy.A new expression for suspended sediment load also is established by depth integration of the vertical distribution of the suspended sediment concentration obtained on basis of the new formulae.Equation validation is done by comparing the predicted Ca and m to measurements for different types of waves(regular wave, wave group, and irregular wave),and good agreement is found. The advantages of the proposed formulae over previous formulae also are discussed. | Yang Zhang Zhili Zou Wushan Xue Dapeng Sun | 2020 | International Journal of Sediment Research2020,35,1: | 0
Towards intrinsically pure graphene grown on copper显示文摘The state-of-the-art semiconductor industry is built on the successful production of silicon ingot with extreme purity as high as 99.999999999%,or the so-called'eleven nines'.The coming high-end applications of graphene in electronics and optoelectronics will inevitably need defect-free pure graphene as well.Due to its two-dimensional(2D)characteristics,graphene restricts all the defects on its surface and has the opportunity to eliminate all kinds of defects,i.e.,line defects at grain boundaries and point or dot defects in grains, and produce intrinsically pure graphene. In the past decade, epitaxy growth has been adopted to grow graphene by seamlessly stitching of aligned grains and the line defects at grain boundaries were eliminated finally. However,as for the equally common dot and point defects in graphene grain, there are rare ways to detect or reduce them with high throughput and efficiency. Here,we report a methodology to realize the production of ultrapure graphene grown on copper by eliminating both the dot and point defects in graphene grains. The dot defects, proved to be caused by the silica particles shedding from quartz tube during the high-temperature growth, were excluded by a designed heat-resisting box to prevent the deposition of particles on the copper surface. The point defects were optically visualized by a mild-oxidation-assisted method and further reduced by etching-regrowth process to an ultralow level of less than 1/1,000 μm^(2).Our work points out an avenue for the production of intrinsically pure graphene and thus lays the foundation for the large-scale graphene applications at the integrated-circuit level. | Xiaozhi Xu Ruixi Qiao Zhihua Liang Zhihong Zhang Ran Wang Fankai Zeng Guoliang Cui Xiaowen Zhang Dingxin Zou Yi Guo Can Liu Ying Fu Xu Zhou Muhong Wu Zhujun Wang Yue Zhao Enke Wang Zhilie Tang Dapeng Yu Kaihui Liu | 2022 | Nano Research2022,15,2: | 0
