| 1 | Experimental investigation on breaching of embankments显示文摘Breaching of embankments has recently drawn more and more attention due to its importance in the development of early warning systems for embankment failures,in the evacuation plans of people at risk,in the design method of embankments based on a risk-approach,etc. The erosion process observed during embankment breaching tests in the laboratory and the analysis of the results are described in this paper. Five embankments,one constructed with pure sand,four with different sand-silt-clay mixtures were tested. The height of the embankments was 75 cm and the width at the crest was 60 cm. Examination of the data from these tests indicated that headcut erosion played an important role in the process of breach growth in the embankments made of cohesive soil mixtures. Flow shear erosion,fluidization of the headcut slope surface,undermining of the headcut due to impinging jet scour and discrete soil mechanical slope mass failure from the headcut were all observed during these tests. For the embankment constructed with pure sand,the breach erosion process was dominated by shear erosion,which led to a gradual and relatively uniform retreat of the downstream slope. | 2 | Multi-type ant system algorithm for the time dependent vehicle routing problem with time windows显示文摘The time dependent vehicle routing problem with time windows(TDVRPTW) is considered. A multi-type ant system(MTAS) algorithm hybridized with the ant colony system(ACS)and the max-min ant system(MMAS) algorithms is proposed. This combination absorbs the merits of the two algorithms in solutions construction and optimization separately. In order to improve the efficiency of the insertion procedure, a nearest neighbor selection(NNS) mechanism, an insertion local search procedure and a local optimization procedure are specified in detail. And in order to find a balance between good scouting performance and fast convergence rate, an adaptive pheromone updating strategy is proposed in the MTAS. | 3 | Research on cohesive sediment erosion by flow: An overview显示文摘Erosion of cohesive sediment by flow is a very complicated phenomenon occurring worldwide. Understanding and modeling of the erosion process are important for many issues such as the breaching of embankments, riverbank stability, siltation of harbors and navigation channels, service life of reservoirs, distribution of (heavy metal) pollutants and water quality problems. In the last few decades, numerous studies have been done on the erosion of cohesive sediment by flow. Nevertheless, the factors affecting the erosion resistance of cohesive sediment are still not fully understood and the knowledge of the physics of cohesive sediment erosion is in- adequate, as a result the mathematical modeling of this erosion is far from satis- factory. In this paper an overview of the studies on the erosion resistance, erosion threshold and the erosion rate of cohesive sediment by flow is presented. | 7 | Genetic architecture of maize yield traits dissected by QTL mapping and GWAS in maize显示文摘The study of yield traits can reveal the genetic architecture of grain yield for improving maize production.In this study, an association panel comprising 362 inbred lines and a recombinant inbred line population derived from X178 × 9782 were used to identify candidate genes for nine yield traits. High-priority overlap(HPO) genes, which are genes prioritized in a genome-wide association study(GWAS), were investigated using coexpression networks. The GWAS identified 51 environmentally stable SNPs in two environments and 36 pleiotropic SNPs, including three SNPs with both attributes. Seven hotspots containing 41 trait-associated SNPs were identified on six chromosomes by permutation. Pyramiding of superior alleles showed a highly positive effect on all traits, and the phenotypic values of ear diameter and ear weight consistently corresponded with the number of superior alleles in tropical and temperate germplasm. A total of 61 HPO genes were detected after trait-associated SNPs were combined with the coexpression networks. Linkage mapping identified 16 environmentally stable and 16 pleiotropic QTL.Seven SNPs that were located in QTL intervals were assigned as consensus SNPs for the yield traits.Among the candidate genes predicted by our study, some genes were confirmed to function in seed development. The gene Zm00001 d016656 encoding a serine/threonine protein kinase was associated with five different traits across multiple environments. Some genes were uniquely expressed in specific tissues and at certain stages of seed development. | 11 | Production of 5-Hydroxymethylfurfural from Fructose in Ionic Liquid Efficiently Catalyzed by Cr(III)-Al_(2)O_(3)Catalyst显示文摘A series of metal-Al_(2)O_(3)catalysts were prepared simply by the conventional impregnation with Al_(2)O_(3)and metal chlorides,which were applied to the dehydration of fructose to 5-hydroxymethylfurfural(HMF).An agreeable HMF yield of 93.1%was achieved from fructose at mild conditions(100℃and 40 min)when employing Cr(III)-Al_(2)O_(3)as catalyst in 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride([Bmim]Cl).The Cr(III)-Al_(2)O_(3)catalyst was characterized via XRD,DRS and Raman spectra and the results clarified the interaction between the Cr(III)and the alumina support.Meanwhile,the reaction solvents([Bmim]Cl)collected after 1st reaction run and 5th reaction run were analyzed by ICP-OES and LC-ITMS and the results confirmed that no Cr(III)ion was dropped off from the alumina support dur-ing the fructose dehydration.Notably,Cr(III)-Al_(2)O_(3)catalyst had an excellent catalytic performance for glucose and sucrose and the HMF yields were reached to 73.7%and 84.1%at 120℃for 60 min,respectively.Furthermore,the system of Cr(III)-Al_(2)O_(3)and[Bmim]Cl exhibited a constant stability and activity at 100℃for 40 min and a fa-vorable HMF yield was maintained after ten recycles. | Changhua Song Hui Liu Yuan Li Shuai Ge Hongwei Wang Wenshuai Zhu Yonghui Chang Changri Han Huaming Li | 2014 | Chinese Journal of Chemistry2014,32,5: | 1 |

| 13 | Ultra-thin CoAl layered double hydroxide nanosheets for the construction of highly sensitive and selective QCM humidity sensor显示文摘To achieve real-time monitoring of humidity in various applications,we prepared facile and ultra-thin CoAl layered double hydroxide(CoAl LDH)nanosheets to engineer quartz crystal microbalances(QCM).The characteristics of CoAl LDH were investigated by transmission electron microscopy(TEM),X-ray diffraction(XRD),X-ray photoelectric spectroscopy(XPS),Brunauer–Emmett–Telle(BET),atomic force microscopy(AFM)and zeta potential.Due to their large specific surface area and abundant hydroxyl groups,CoAl LDH nanosheets exhibit good humidity sensing performance.In a range of 11.3%and 97.6%relative humidity(RH),the sensor behaved an ultrahigh sensitivity(127.8 Hz/%RH),fast response(9.1 s)and recovery time(3.1 s),low hysteresis(3.1%RH),good linearity(R^(2)=0.9993),stability and selectivity.Besides,the sensor can recover the initial response frequency after being wetted by deionized water,revealing superior self-recovery ability under high humidity.Based on in-situ Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR),the adsorption mechanism of CoAl LDH toward water molecules was explored.The QCM sensor can distinguish different respiratory states of people and wetting degree of fingers,as well as monitor the humidity in vegetable packaging,suggesting excellent properties and a promising application in humidity sensing. | Yongheng Zhu Xuhua Dong Jinsheng Cheng Lumin Wang Cheng Zhao Yonghui Deng Siqi Xie Yingjie Pan Yong Zhao Gengzhi Sun Tianjun Ni | 2023 | Chinese Chemical Letters2023,34,8: | 1 |
