1Characterization of dissolved organic matter fractions from Lake Hongfeng, Southwestern China Plateau显示文摘With XAD-series and ion exchange resins, dissolved organic matter (DOM) from Lake Hongfeng in Southwestern China Plateau was isolated into 6 fractions, i.e., humic acid (HA), fulvic acid (FA), hydrophobic neutrals (HON), hydrophilic acids (HIA), hydrophilic bases (HIB) and hydrophilic neutrals (HIN). Those fractions were characterized by high performance size exclusion chromatography, fluorescence spectroscopy and UV absorbance. Among the 6 fractions, FA was predominant and accounted for 51% of the total DOM. The weight-average (Mw) and number-averaged (Mn) molecular weight of these fractions ranged from 1688 to 2355 Da and from 1338 to 1928 Da, respectively. A strong correlation was observed between specific UV absorbance at 280 nm, E2/E3 (absorbance at 250 nm to 365 nm), and the molecular weight for DOM fractions. UV-Vis fulvic-like fluorescence peaks were found in all fractions. Protein-like fluorescence peaks existed in HON may indicate that microbial activity was severely in Lake Hongfeng. There was a significant relationship between fluorescence intensities and specific UV absorbance at 254 nm for those DOM fractions, suggesting their similar luminescence characteristics. The values of fluorescence index (f450/500) indicated that hydrophobic fractions may derive from terrestrial sources, and the hydrophilic fractions from microbial and terrestrial origins. 2Phosphorus speciation in the sediment profile of Lake Erhai, southwestern China: Fractionation and ^(31)P NMR显示文摘The distribution characteristics of phosphorus(P) forms in the sediment profile of Lake Erhai,in southwestern China has been investigated by sequential extraction and 31P nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy(NMR) of NaOH extracts to understand P dynamics and its potential contribution to lake eutrophication.Contents of P fractions varied in the order of NH4Cl extracted P(NH4ClP) < bicarbonate-dithionite extracted P(BD-P) < HCl-P,Residual-P < NaOH extracted P(NaOH-P).The highly available NH4Cl-P represented less than 1% of total P(TP).BD-P and NaOH extracted reactive P(NaOH-rP) averaged 39%,while the ratio of Fe/P was higher than 15,indicating low P release from the sediments under permanent oxic condition.The less bio-available HCl-P,NaOH extracted nonreactive P(NaOH-nrP) and residual-P contributed 61% of TP.Regression analysis revealed that BD-P,NaOH-rP and HCl-P were positively correlated with the contents of Fe and Mn,Al and Fe,and Ca,respectively.The investigation of P compound groups in NaOH extracts by 31 P NMR showed that ortho-P and monoester-P were the largest two constituents of the P pool,followed by diester-P,phosphonate and pyro-P.A comparison of vertical variations of P groups in the sediment profile suggested that these compounds were involved in the P recycling to different extents in Lake Erhai.In particular,the lake exhibits high potential for labile P release from the surface sediments,which should be taken into consideration even after the outsourced P runoff ceased.Runyu Zhang Liying Wang Fengchang Wu Baoan Song 2013Journal of Environmental Sciences2013,25,6:7
3Influence of Indian Ocean Dipole on Tropical Cyclone Activity over Western North Pacific in Boreal Autumn显示文摘In this study, we investigated the influence of the Indian Ocean Dipole (IOD) on the interannual variability of tropical cyclone (TC) activity over the western North Pacific (WNP) during autumn (September November) from 1961 2015. We found the number of TCs making landfall in China to be significantly negatively correlated with the IOD index, which can be attributed to shifts in the location of TC formation together with the abnormal steering flow at 500 hPa. During negative IOD autumns, TC genesis regions move obviously westward due to the westward retreat of the WNP monsoon trough. The TC activity is remarkably enhanced near South China coastal areas, which is due to a contiguous 500-hPa subtropical ridge. In contrast, during positive IOD autumns, TC genesis positions obviously shift eastward and more TCs tend to exhibit recurvature around 130 E or a westward path south of 15 N led by an equatorward movement of the 500-hPa subtropical ridge with a break near 125 E. In our examination of large-scale circula- tion, we found a pair of equator-symmetric anticyclones in the lower troposphere resulting from variations in the large-scale Walker circulation induced by the anomalous sea surface temperature (SST) associated with a positive IOD. The resulting Philippines anti- cyclonic anomalies are closely related to the variability of the monsoon trough over the WNP region. 5Temporal and spatial variations of low-molecular-weight organic acids in Dianchi Lake, China显示文摘Low-molecular-weight organic acids (LMWOAs) in eutrophic lake water of Dianchi, Southwestern China Plateau were investigated diurnally and vertically using ion chromatography. Two profiles (P1 and P2) were studied due to the difference of hydrochemical features. Lactic, formic, pyruvic and oxalic acid were detected as major components at P1 and P2 which were on average 7.98 and 6.53 μmol/L, respectively, corresponding to their proportions of 2.68% and 2.48% relative to DOC. Pyruvic acid was regarded as the uppermost species at P1 and P2, reaching up to 3.82 and 3.35 μmol/L and accounting for 47.9% and 51.3%, respectively, in individual TOA. Although humus were of biogenetic production at both sites, the significant negative correlation between diurnal variations of TOAs, fluorescence intensity (FI) of protein-like components and humic-like components at P1 indicated LMWOAs were greatly originated from bacterioplankton excretion and degradation. However, correlations between diurnal variations of humic-like FI and physicochemical parameters demonstrated algal origination of LMWOAs at P2. Although content of humus was high, TOA at P2 was 1.45 μmol/L lower than that at P1, due to the co-influence of more intense photo-oxidation and aggregation at P2. Therefore, TOAs exhibited quite opposite diurnal variation trends of increasing-decreasing and decreasing-increasing at P1 and P2, respectively. Except for impact of solar radiation, bacterial decomposition and assimilation rendered shifts of maximal LMWOAs along water column at P1. 7Signaling pathways in vascular function and hypertension:molecular mechanisms and therapeutic interventions显示文摘Hypertension is a global public health issue and the leading cause of premature death in humans.Despite more than a century of research,hypertension remains difficult to cure due to its complex mechanisms involving multiple interactive factors and our limited understanding of it.Hypertension is a condition that is named after its clinical features.Vascular function is a factor that affects blood pressure directly,and it is a main strategy for clinically controlling BP to regulate constriction/relaxation function of blood vessels.Vascular elasticity,caliber,and reactivity are all characteristic indicators reflecting vascular function.Blood vessels are composed of three distinct layers,out of which the endothelial cells in intima and the smooth muscle cells in media are the main performers of vascular function.The alterations in signaling pathways in these cells are the key molecular mechanisms underlying vascular dysfunction and hypertension development.In this manuscript,we will comprehensively review the signaling pathways involved in vascular function regulation and hypertension progression,including calcium pathway,NO-NOsGC-cGMP pathway,various vascular remodeling pathways and some important upstream pathways such as renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system,oxidative stress-related signaling pathway,immunity/inflammation pathway,etc.Meanwhile,we will also summarize the treatment methods of hypertension that targets vascular function regulation and discuss the possibility of these signaling pathways being applied to clinical work.Jun Ma Yanan Li Xiangyu Yang Kai Liu Xin Zhang Xianghao Zuo Runyu Ye Ziqiong Wang Rufeng Shi Qingtao Meng Xiaoping Chen 2023Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2023,8,5:1

10The oxygen isotopic composition of phosphate as an effective tracer for phosphate sources in Hongfeng Lake显示文摘In order to characterize the oxygen isotopic composition of internal phosphate and explore the possibility of using these data to identify phosphate sources, we measured oxygen isotopic compositions of phosphate(δ^(18)O_p) in sediment pore water in Hongfeng Lake, a typical deep-water lake in a mountainous area. These data, in combination with δ^(18)O_p in surface water samples and water column samples, were successfully used to identify phosphate sources. The δ^(18)O_p value of sediment pore water ranged from 15.2% to 15.8%, with an average value of 15.5%—the δ^(18)O_p value of internal phosphate. The δ^(18)O_p values decreased gradually through the water column from 19.4% in surface water to 16.4% in deeper water, implying that internal phosphate had more negative δ^(18)O_p values than external phosphate. This finding was substantiated by horizontal variations in δ^(18)O_p values, which decreased with increasing distance from inflowing rivers. All collected evidence suggests that external and internal phosphate have distinctly different isotopic signatures and that these signatures have not been considerably altered by biological mediation in Hongfeng Lake. Therefore, δ^(18)O_p can be used to distinguish phosphate sources. A two-endmember mixing model showed that internal phosphate had an average contribution of 40%, highlighting the influence of internal phosphorus loading on aqueous phosphate and eutrophication. This study illustrates the need to reduce the internal phosphorus load from sediment and provides guidance for nutrient management and in-lake restoration treatment in Hongfeng Lake. The data presented here are limited, but serve to highlight the great potential of δ^(18)O_p as an effective tracer for identifying phosphate sources. 12A flexible design strategy to modify Ti3C2Tx MXene surface terminations via nucleophilic substitution for long-life Li-S batteries显示文摘MXene-based materials have gained considerable attention for lithium-sulfur(Li-S)batteries cathode materials due to their superior electric conductivity and high affinitive to polysulfides.However,there are still challenges in modifying the surface functional groups of MXene to further improve the electrochemical performance and increase the structure variety for MXene-based sulfur host.Herein,we report an efficient and flexible nucleophilic substitution(S_(N))strategy to modify the Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) surface terminations and purposefully designed Magnolol-modified Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)(M-Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x))as powerful cathode host materials.Benefiting from more C-Ti-O bonds forming and diallyl groups terminations reducing after the dehalogenation and nucleophilic addition reactions,the given M-Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) electrode could effectively suppress the lithium polysulfides shuttling via chemisorption and C—S covalent bond formation.Besides,the Magnolol-modified Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) significantly accelerates polysulfide redox reaction and reduces the activation energy of Li_(2) S decomposition.As a result,the as-prepared M-Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) electrode displays an excellent rate capability and a high reversible capacity of 7.68 mAh cm^(-2)even under 7.2 mg cm^(-2)S-loaded with a low decay rate of 0.07%(from 2 nd cycle).This flexible surface-modified strategy for MXene terminations is expected to be extended to other diverse MXene applications.Tianpeng Zhang Wenlong Shao Siyang Liu Zihui Song Runyue Mao Xin Jin Xigao Jian Fangyuan Hu 2022Journal of Energy Chemistry2022,31,11:1

14Phosphorus speciation in surface sediments of a hypertrophic lake,Southwestern China:insights from fractionation and ^(31)P NMR显示文摘Phosphorus(P) species in surface sediments from a shallow,hypertrophic lake,Lake Dianchi,China,were investigated by P fractionation and ^(31)P nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR) spectroscopy during a regional algal bloom.In addition,their potential contributions to the overlying water were also evaluated.Labile fractions of P extracted by NH_4C1,bicarbonate dithionite and NaOH ranged from 340.6 to 1,725.8 mg kg^(-1),accounting for20.5%-67.2%of the total P.A two-step extraction method refinement of P recovery was performed before the^(31)P NMR analysis.Recovery rates of sedimentary TP and organic P,by combining EDTA pretreatment and NaOH or mixed reagents,ranged from 31.8%to 69.3%and from19.8%to 51.7%.^(31)P NMR results showed that ortho-P and monoester-P were the most abundant P components in the sediment extractable P of sediments,followed by diester-P and pyro-P.Spatial distribution of the sum of ortho-P,diester-P and pyro-P detected by P NMR corresponded well with the labile P concentration determined by fractionation.Both exhibited a significant positive correlation with the total P in the water column,suggesting that internal loading may be an important source of P for the lake ecosystem.Biogenic P other than ortho-P may contribute to phytoplankton growth,with the relative proportion being 4.4%-18.7%.The release of labile P fractions fueled algal bloom,and the decay of organic matter,following the bloom events,consumed oxygen and elevated the pH value.This co-dependence might lead to a vicious cycle.Transformation mechanisms of various P species remain ambiguous and are worthy of further investigation.Runyu Zhang Liying Wang Fengchang Wu 2015Chinese Journal Of Geochemistry2015,34,2:1
15A Caching Strategy Based on Many-to-Many Matching Game in D2D Networks显示文摘Wireless edge caching has been proposed to reduce data traffic congestion in backhaul links, and it is being envisioned as one of the key components of next-generation wireless networks. This paper focuses on the influences of different caching strategies in Device-to-Device(D2D) networks. We model the D2D User Equipments(DUEs) as the Gauss determinantal point process considering the repulsion between DUEs, as well as the caching replacement process as a many-to-many matching game. By analyzing existing caching placement strategies, a new caching strategy is proposed, which represents the preference list of DUEs as the ratio of content popularity to cached probability. There are two distinct features in the proposed caching strategy.(1) It can cache other contents besides high popularity contents.(2) It can improve the cache hit ratio and reduce the latency compared with three caching placement strategies: Least Recently Used(LRU), Equal Probability Random Cache(EPRC), and the Most Popular Content Cache(MPC). Meanwhile, we analyze the effect of caching on the system performance in terms of different content popularity factors and cache capacity. 18Pd nanoparticles embedded in N-Enriched MOF-Derived architectures for efficient oxygen reduction reaction in alkaline media显示文摘Developing high efficient Pd-based electrocatalysts for oxygen reduction reaction(ORR) is still challenging for alkaline membrane fuel cell,since the strong oxygen adsorption energy and easy agglomerative intrinsic properties. In order to simultaneously solve these problems, Pd/Co_(3)O_(4)–N–C multidimensional materials with porous structures is designed as the ORR catalysts. In details, the ZIF-67 with polyhedral structure was firstly synthesized and then annealed at high-temperature to prepare the N-doped Co_(3)O_(4)carbon-based material, which was used to homogeneously confine Pd nanoparticles and obtained the Pd/Co_(3)O_(4)–N–C series catalysts. The formation of Co–N and C–N bond could provide efficient active sites for ORR. Simultaneously, the strong electronic interaction in the interface between the Pd and N-doped Co_(3)O_(4)could disperse and avoid the agglomeration of Pd nanoparticles and ensure the exposure of active sites, which is crucial to lower the energy barrier toward ORR and substantially enhance the ORR kinetics. Hence, the Pd/Co_(3)O_(4)–N–C nanocompounds exhibited excellent ORR catalytic performance, ideal Pd mass activity, and durability in 0.1 mol L-1KOH solution compared with Co_(3)O_(4)–N–C and Pd/C. 20Late onsets of tropical cyclones in the decaying years of super El Niño events显示文摘The 2015/2016 El Nino event reached the threshold of super El Nino event,and was comparable to the super events in 1982/1983 and 1997/1998.Interestingly,the tropical cyclones(TCs)were found to have very late onsets in the decaying years of the super El Nino events.This study discusses the causes of late TC onsets related with atmospheric circulation,disturbance sources and trigger mechanisms.The analysis shows that the western North Pacific subtropical high(WNPSH)from January–June during the decaying years of the super El Nino events were stronger than the climatic mean,which resulted in a relatively stable atmospheric state by inhibiting deep convection.As a disturbance source,the April–June intertropical convergence zone(ITCZ)during the decaying years of the super El Nino events were significantly weaker than its climatic mean.The cross-equatorial flow and monsoon trough,as important TC generation triggers,were weaker from April–June during the decaying years of the super El Nino events,which further reduced the probability of TC generation.As for the late TC onsets,the role of atmospheric circulation anomalies(i.e.,subtropical-high,the ITCZ,cross-equatorial flow,and monsoon trough)were more important.The cross-equatorial flow may take as predictor of TC onsets in the decaying years of the super El Nino events.Zhiqiang Li Runyu Zhang Kai Liu Changling Zheng Zhikun Chen 2019Acta Oceanologica Sinica2019,38,7:0
