| 1 | Regulation network and expression profiles of Epstein-Barr virus-encoded microRNAs and their potential target host genes in nasopharyngeal carcinomas显示文摘Epstein-Barr virus(EBV)is associated with nasopharyngeal carcinoma(NPC)tumorigenesis.However,the mechanism(s)connecting EBV infection and NPC remain unclear.Recently,a new class of EBV microRNAs(miRNAs)has been described.To determine how EBV miRNAs control the expression of host genes,and to understand their potential role in NPC tumorigenesis,we profiled the expression of 44 mature EBV miRNAs and potential host genes in NPC and non-tumor nasopharyngeal epithelial tissues.We found that 40 EBV miRNAs from the BART transcript were highly expressed in NPC.Analysis of potential BART miRNA target genes revealed that 3140 genes and several important pathways might be involved in the carcinogenesis of NPC.A total of 105 genes with potential EBV miRNA binding sites were significantly downregulated,suggesting that EBV miRNAs may regulate these genes and contribute to NPC carcinogenesis.An EBV miRNA and host gene regulation network was generated to provide useful clues for validating of EBV miRNA functions in NPC tumorigenesis. | ZENG ZhaoYang HUANG HongBin HUANG LiLi SUN MengXi YAN QiJia SONG YaLi WEI Fang BO Hao GONG ZhaoJian ZENG Yong LI Qiao ZHANG WenLing LI XiaYu XIANG Bo LI XiaoLing LI Yong XIONG Wei LI GuiYuan | 2014 | Science China(Life Sciences)2014,57,3: | 10 |

| 5 | Vertically standing PtSe_2 film: a saturable absorber for a passively mode-locked Nd:LuVO_4 laser显示文摘The novel vertically standing Pt Se2 film on transparent quartz was prepared by selenization of platinum film deposited by the magnetron sputtering method, and an Nd:Lu VO4 passively mode-locked solid-state laser was realized by using the fabricated Pt Se2 film as a saturable absorber. The X-ray diffraction pattern and Raman spectrum of the film indicate its good crystallinity with a layered structure. The thickness of Pt Se2 film is measured to be 24 nm according to the cross-section height profile of the atomic force microscope image. Highresolution transmission electron microscopy images clearly demonstrate its vertically standing structure with an interlayer distance of 0.54 nm along the c-axis direction. The modulation depth(ΔT) and saturation fluence(Φs)of Pt Se2 film are measured to be 12.6% and 17.1 μJ∕cm2, respectively. The obtained mode-locked laser spectrum has a central wavelength of 1066.573 nm, with a 3 d B bandwidth of 0.106 nm. The transform limited pulse width of the mode-locked laser was calculated to be 15.8 ps. A maximum average output power of 180 m W with a working repetition rate of 61.3 MHz is obtained. Based upon dealloying foam, Fe-Ni hydroxide nanosheets network structure is designed on the surface of Fe-Ni alloy foam. The ratio of Ni/Fe elements was adjusted to realize the optimal catalytic activities for oxygen evolution reaction(OER) and hydrogen evolution reaction(HER). | 8 | A water-evaporation-induced self-charging hybrid power unit for application in the Internet of Things显示文摘A self-charging hybrid power unit has been developed by integrating a water-evaporation-induced nano- generator with a flexible nano-patterned supercapacitor. The nanogenerator can harvest environmental thermal energy and mechanical energy through the water evaporation process, and the supercapacitor can be charged simultaneously. The former offers stable electrical power as output, whereas the Ppy- based supercapacitor shows a capacitance of 12.497 m F/cm^2 with 96.42% retention after 4,000 cycles. After filling the power unit with water as the fuel, it can be fully charged in about 20 min. The power unit can be flexibly integrated with electronic devices such as sensor nodes and wireless transmitters employ- ing the Internet of Things. | 11 | Effect of Thermal Cycling on Properties and Microstructure of SnAgCuCe Soldered Joints in QFP Devices显示文摘Increasing global concern about the environment is bringing regulatory (European directives) and consumer ('green products') pressure on the electronics industry in Europe and Japan to reduce or completely eliminate the use of lead (Pb) in products. Among all lead-free solder alloys, SnAgCu solder system, which has better thermo-mechanical properties compared with those of SnPb solder, is proven to be one of the promising candidates for electronic assembly. Previous work also revealed that adding a small amount of rare earth Ce into SnAgCu solder can visibly improve the properties and inhibit the excessive growth of the intermetallic compound layer. Thermal fatigue properties of SnAgCuCe soldered joints in QFP devices under thermal conditions have been investigated by finite element method and experiments. Based on creep model of low stress and high stress, corresponding creep subroutine was established for simulating the stress and strain response of SnAgCuCe soldered joint from -55 ℃ to 125 ℃, and fatigue life was calculated using creep fatigue life prediction equation. Moreover, thermal cycling experiments were conducted, the experimental results were found to be close to the simulated results. In addition, the tensile force of SnAgCuCe soldered joints decreased with increasing number of thermal cycles, and the fracture mechanism transformed from toughness fracture to brittle intergranular fracture. | 15 | Distribution of living radiolarians in spring in the South China Sea and its responses to environmental factors显示文摘Using a planktonic net(62-?m mesh) and a Rose-Bengal staining method, we studied the spatial distribution of living radiolarians in spring along two sections of the South China Sea(SCS) in spring and discussed the responses of living radiolarian distribution to tropical environmental factors. Generally, the highest abundance of living radiolarians occurred at the depth range of 25–75 m, where the chlorophyll-a maximum and the highest primary productivity were. In contrast, the maximum living abundance occurred in the top 25 m in cold eddies in the open seas and the abundance decreased with depth. We found that the inhibition effect of changing salinity(due to runoffs) on living radiolarians was much stronger than the promotion effect of mesoscale cold eddies. We observed that large variation of temperature was unfavorable for living radiolarians. The dominant species composition consisted of tropical-subtropical warm species. We identified some indicator species for tropical environments. Living Didymocyrtis tetrathalamus tetrathalamus could be an indicator for tropical surface water or mixed-layer water, and even for tropical oligotrophic water. Living Tetrapyle octacantha could be used to indicate tropical thermocline and eutrophic environment. Living Acanthodesmia vinculata could indicate tropical surface and subsurface waters. T. octacantha and A. vinculata should only be used as indicators for upwelling in the open seas, i.e., far away from river mouths. Living Siphonosphaera polysiphonia preferred to form colonies, which might be related to the effect of warm eddies. | 19 | Contrasting dynamic characteristics of shear turbulence and Langmuir circulation in the surface mixed layer显示文摘Large eddy simulation(LES) is used to investigate contrasting dynamic characteristics of shear turbulence(ST)and Langmuir circulation(LC) in the surface mixed layer(SML). ST is usually induced by wind forcing in SML. LC can be driven by wave-current interaction that includes the roles of wind, wave and vortex forcing. The LES results show that LC suppresses the horizontal velocity and greatly modifies the downwind velocity profile, but increases the vertical velocity. The strong downwelling jets of LC accelerate and increase the downward transport of energy as compared to ST. The vertical eddy viscosity Km of LC is much larger than that of ST. Strong mixing induced by LC has two locations. They are located in the 2ds–3ds(Stokes depth scale) and the lower layer of the SML,respectively. Its value and position change periodically with time. In contrast, maximum Km induced by ST is located in the middle depth of the SML. The turbulent kinetic energy(TKE) generated by LC is larger than that by ST. The differences in vertical distributions of TKE and Km are evident. Therefore, the parameterization of LC cannot be solely based on TKE. For deep SML, the convection of large-scale eddies in LC plays a main role in downward transport of energy and LC can induce stronger velocity shear(S2) near the SML base. | 20 | WRKY33-mediated indolic glucosinolate metabolic pathway confers resistance against Alternaria brassicicola in Arabidopsis and Brassica crops显示文摘The tryptophan(Trp)-derived plant secondary metabolites,including camalexin,4-hydroxyindole-3-carbonylnitrile,and indolic glucosinolate(IGS),show broad-spectrum antifungal activity.However,the distinct regulations of these metabolic pathways among different plant species in response to fungus infection are rarely studied.In this study,our results revealed that WRKY33 directly regulates IGS biosynthesis,notably the production of 4-methoxyindole-3-ylmethyl glucosinolate(4MI3G),conferring resistance to Alternaria brassicicola,an important pathogen which causes black spot in Brassica crops.WRKY33 directly activates the expression of CYP81F2,IGMT1,and IGMT2 to drive sidechain modification of indole-3-ylmethyl glucosinolate(I3G)to 4MI3G,in both Arabidopsis and Chinese kale(Brassica oleracea var.alboglabra Bailey).However,Chinese kale showed a more severe symptom than Arabidopsis when infected by Alternaria brassicicola.Comparative analyses of the origin and evolution of Trp metabolism indicate that the loss of camalexin biosynthesis in Brassica crops during evolution might attenuate the resistance of crops to Alternaria brassicicola.As a result,the IGS metabolic pathway mediated by WRKY33 becomes essential for Chinese kale to deter Alternaria brassicicola.Our results highlight the differential regulation of Trp-derived camalexin and IGS biosynthetic pathways in plant immunity between Arabidopsis and Brassica crops. | Han Tao Huiying Miao Lili Chen Mengyu Wang Chuchu Xia Wei Zeng Bo Sun Fen Zhang Shuqun Zhang Chuanyou Li Qiaomei Wang | 2022 | Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2022,64,5: | 2 |
