1An Intelligent Harmonic Synthesis Technique for Air-Gap Eccentricity Fault Diagnosis in Induction Motors显示文摘Induction motors(IMs) are commonly used in various industrial applications. To improve energy consumption efficiency, a reliable IM health condition monitoring system is very useful to detect IM fault at its earliest stage to prevent operation degradation, and malfunction of IMs. An intelligent harmonic synthesis technique is proposed in this work to conduct incipient air-gap eccentricity fault detection in IMs. The fault harmonic series are synthesized to enhance fault features. Fault related local spectra are processed to derive fault indicators for IM airgap eccentricity diagnosis. The effectiveness of the proposed harmonic synthesis technique is examined experimentally by IMs with static air-gap eccentricity and dynamic air-gap eccentricity states under different load conditions. 2A data-driven approach to modeling high-density terminal areas:A scenario analysis of the new Beijing,China airspace显示文摘Airports are being developed and expanded rapidly in China to accommodate and promote a growing aviation market.The future Beijing Daxing International Airport(DAX) will serve as the central airport of the JingJinJi megaregion,knitting the Beijing,Tianjin,and Hebei regions together.DAX will be a busy airport from its inception,relieving congestion and accommodating growth from Beijing Capital International Airport(PEK),currently the second busiest airport in the world in passengers moved.We aim to model terminal airspace designs and possible conflicts in the future Beijing Multi-Airport System(MAS).We investigate standard arrival procedures and mathematically model current and future arrival trajectories into PEK and DAX by collecting large quantities of publicly available track data from historical arrivals operating within the Beijing terminal airspace.We find that(1) trajectory models constructed from real data capture aberrations and deviations from standard arrival procedures,validating the need to incorporate data on historical trajectories with standard procedures when evaluating the airspace and(2) given all existing constraints,DAX may be restricted to using north and east arrival flows,constraining the capacity required to handle the increases in air traffic demand to Beijing.The results indicate that the terminal airspace above Beijing,and the future JingJinJi region,requires careful consideration if the full capacity benefits of the two major airports are to be realized.Max Z.Li Megan S.Ryerson 2017Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2017,30,2:6
3我国人类免疫缺陷病毒-1主要流行株外膜蛋白基因V3-V4区及其临近区域的特征性氨基酸分析显示文摘目的鉴定我国HIV-1主要流行毒株亚型的envV3-V4区及其临近区域的特征性氨基酸,并阐明其在追踪传染源和研究疫苗中的作用。方法应用nested-PCR对157份来自我国12个省份的HIV-1毒株env区序列进行扩增,并使用ABI377型测序仪测序,然后应用BLAST、GCG、MEGA和VESPA等生物学软件或程序对env基因V3-V4区及其临近区域序列进行基因型鉴定、系统树分析及特征性氨基酸鉴定。结果157份样本包括54份B′(34·40%)、61份B′/C(38·85%)和42份CRF01-AE(26·75%)毒株。系统树分析结果显示,B′亚型毒株序列均与B·CN·RL42十分接近,B′/C毒株主要与97CN54A和97CNGX6F聚成一簇。而CRF01-AE序列与THCM240和97CNGX2F聚在一起,而且分别聚成明显不同的两个亚组。特征性氨基酸分析发现,我国B′和B′/C毒株分别具有8个保守的特征性氨基酸,而且与代表株的相同位点氨基酸基本一致。而CRF01-AE重组毒株具有11个保守的特征性氨基酸,其中有9个位点与97CNGX2F和TH·CM240不一致。包括这9个特征性氨基酸的样本主要来自除云南省以外的其他省份。结论目前流行于我国的B′和B′/C毒株具有单一的共同传染源,而CRF01-AE毒株可能是通过不同输入源或不同传播途径先后从泰国传入我国的。这将对我国艾滋病防治策略的制定和正在进行的疫苗研究具有重要的指导意义。梁浩 邢辉 Jonathan Z.Li 魏民 洪坤学 冯毅 赵全壁 陈建平 全宇 滕涛 邵一鸣 2005中华医学杂志2005,85,13:5

5Effects of MgO modified β-TCP nanoparticles on the microstructure and properties of β-TCP/Mg-Zn-Zr composites显示文摘The mechanical properties and corrosion resistance of magnesium alloy composites were improved bythe addition of MgO surface modified tricalcium phosphate ceramic nanoparticles (m-β-TCP). Mg-3Zn-0.8Zr composites with unmodified (MZZT) and modified (MZZMT) nanoparticles were produced byhigh shear mixing technology. Effects of MgO m-β-TCP nanoparticles on the microstructure, mechanicalproperties, electrochemical corrosion properties and cytocompatibility of Mg-Zn-Zr/β-TCP compositeswere investigated. After hot extrusion deformation and dynamic recrystallization, the grain size ofMZZMT was the half size of MZZT and the distribution of m-β-TCP particles in the matrix was moreuniform than β-TCP particles. The yield tensile strength (YTS), ultimate tensile strength (UTS), andcorrosion potential (Ecorr) of MZZMT were higher than MZZT;the corrosion current density (Icorr) ofMZZMT was lower than MZZT. 7MITOCHONDRIAL REDOX IMAGING FOR CANCER DIAGNOSTIC AND THERAPEUTIC STUDIES显示文摘Mitochondrial redox states provide important information about energy-linked biological processes and signaling events in tissues for various disease phenotypes including cancer.The redox scanning method developed at the Chance laboratory about 30 years ago has allowed 3D highresolution(∼50×50×10µm^(3))imaging of mitochondrial redox state in tissue on the basis of the fluorescence of NADH(reduced nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide)and Fp(oxidized flavoproteins including flavin adenine dinucleotide,i.e.,FAD).In this review,we illustrate its basic principles,recent technical developments,and biomedical applications to cancer diagnostic and therapeutic studies in small animal models.Recently developed calibration procedures for the redox imaging using reference standards allow quantification of nominal NADH and Fp concentrations,and the concentration-based redox ratios,e.g.,Fp/(Fp+NADH)and NADH/(Fp+NADH)in tissues.This calibration facilitates the comparison of redox imaging results acquired for different metabolic states at different times and/or with different instrumental settings.A redox imager using a CCD detector has been developed to acquire 3D images faster and with a higher in-plane resolution down to 10µm.Ex vivo imaging and in vivo imaging of tissue mitochondrial redox status have been demonstrated with the CCD imager.Applications of tissue redox imaging in small animal cancer models include metabolic imaging of glioma and myc-induced mouse mammary tumors,predicting the metastatic potentials of human melanoma and breast cancer mouse xenografts,differentiating precancerous and normal tissues,and monitoring the tumor treatment response to photodynamic therapy.Possible future directions for the development of redox imaging are also discussed.LIN Z.LI HE N.XU MAHSA RANJI SHOKO NIOKA BRITTON CHANCE 2009Journal of Innovative Optical Health Sciences2009,2,4:3
8First-principles Study of Point Defects in Stoichiometric and Non-stoichiometric Y_4Al_2O_9显示文摘By using the first-principles calculation,we studied the mechanisms of point defects in Y4Al2O9(YAM),a promising ternary oxide with excellent optical and thermal properties.It is found that the predominant native defect species is closely dependent on the chemical potentials of each constituent.In the case of O-rich condition,the oxygen interstitial has the very low defect formation energy,followed by the anti-site defects and Al vacancy;in the case of Al-rich condition,the oxygen vacancy yields the lowest defect formation energy,followed by the anti-site defects and Al interstitial.The present result shows that in all the possible chemical potential ranges,anti-site defects have relatively low defect formation energy and might exist in high concentration in YAM.Furthermore,AlY anti-site has relatively lower defect formation energy than the YAl antisite throughout.The behaviors of defect complexes under non-stoichiometric condition,such as the Al2O3or Y2O3excess,are also investigated.The results provide helpful guide to optimize the experimental synthesizing of YAM.Z.Li B.Liu J.M.Wang L.C.Sun J.Y.Wang Y.C.Zhou Z.J.Hu 2013Journal of Materials Science & Technology2013,29,12:2
9QUANTITATIVE REDOX SCANNING OF TISSUE SAMPLES USING A CALIBRATION PROCEDURE显示文摘The fluorescence properties of reduced nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide(NADH)and oxidizedflavoproteins(Fp)including flavin adenine dinucleotide(FAD)in the respiratory chain are sensitive indicators of intracellular metabolic states and have been applied to the studies of mitochondrial function with energy-linked processes.The redox scanner,a three-dimensional(3D)low temperature imager previously developed by Chance et al.,measures the in vivo metabolicproperties of tissue samples by acquiring fluorescence images of NADH and Fp.The redox ratios,i.e.Fp/(Fp+NADH)and NADH/(Fp+NADH),provided a sensitive index of the mitochondrialredox state and were determined based on relative signal intensity ratios.Here we report thefurther development of the redox scanning technique by using a calibration method to quantifythe nominal concentration of the fluorophores in tissues.The redox scanner exhibited very goodlinear response in the range of NADH concentration between 165–1318µM and Fp between90–720µM using snap-frozen solution standards.Tissue samples such as human tumor mousexenografts and various mouse organs were redox-scanned together with adjacent NADH and Fpstandards of known concentration at liquid nitrogen temperature.The nominal NADH and Fpconcentrations as well as the redox ratios in the tissue samples were quantified by normalizing the tissue NADH and Fp fluorescence signal to that of the snap-frozen solution standards.This calibration procedure allows comparing redox images obtained at different time,independent of instrument settings.The quantitative multi-slice redox images revealed heterogeneity inmitochondrial redox state in the tissues.HE N.XU BAOHUA WU SHOKO NIOKA BRITTON CHANCE LIN Z.LI 2009Journal of Innovative Optical Health Sciences2009,2,4:2

11EFFECTS OF TEST TEMPERATURE AND STRAIN RATE ON THE MECHANICAL PROPERTIES IN AN INTERCRITICALLYHEAT-TREATED BAINITE-TRANSFORMED STEEL显示文摘Larger amount of austenite could be retained in an intercritically heat-treated bainite- transformed steel. The elongation and the strength-ductility balance of the steel could be enhanced considerably due to strain-induced martensite transformation and transformation- induced plasticity (TRIP) of retained austenite. The effects of test temperature and strain rate on the mechanical properties and strain induced transformation behavior of retained austenite in the steel were investigated. Total elongation and strength-ductility balance of the specimen reached maximum when it strained at a strain rate of 2.8×10-4s-1 and at 350℃. The relation between test temperature and tensile properties showed the same tendency at three kinds of strain rates. 14cardiGAN:A generative adversarial network model for design and discovery of multi principal element alloys显示文摘Multi-principal element alloys(MPEAs),inclusive of high entropy alloys(HEAs),continue to attract significant research attention owing to their potentially desirable properties.Although MPEAs remain under extensive research,traditional(i.e.empirical)alloy production and testing are both costly and timeconsuming,partly due to the inefficiency of the early discovery process which involves experiments on a large number of alloy compositions.It is intuitive to apply machine learning in the discovery of this novel class of materials,of which only a small number of potential alloys have been probed to date.In this work,a proof-of-concept is proposed,combining generative adversarial networks(GANs)with discriminative neural networks(NNs),to accelerate the exploration of novel MPEAs.By applying the GAN model herein,it was possible to directly generate novel compositions for MPEAs,and to predict their phases.To verify the predictability of the model,alloys designed by the model are presented and a candidate produced-as validation.This suggests that the model herein offers an approach that can significantly enhance the capacity and efficiency of development of novel MPEAs.Z.Li W.T.Nash S.P.O’Brien Y.Qiu R.K.Gupta N.Birbilis 2022Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,30:1

16Quantitative redox imaging biomarkers for studying tissue metabolic state and its heterogeneity显示文摘NAD+/NADH redox state has been implicated in many diseases such as cancer and diabetes aswell as in the regulation of embryonic development and aging,To fluorimetrically sssthemitochondrial redox state,Dr.Chance and co-workers measured the fluorescence of NADH andoxidized flavoproteins(Fp)including favin-adenine-dinucleotide(FAD)and demonstrated theirratio(i.e.the redox ratio)is a sensitive indicator of the mitochondrial redox states.,The Chanceredox sca mer was built to simult aneously measure NADH and Fp in tisue at submilimeter scalein 3D using the freeze-trap protocol.This paper summarizes our recent research experience,development and new applications of the redox scanning technique in collaboration with Dr.Chance beginning in 2005.Dr.Chance initiated or actively involved in many of the projectsduring the last several years of his life.We advanced the redox scanning technigue by measuringthe nominal concentrations(in reference to the frozen solution standards)of the endogenousfuorescent analy tes,i.e.,[NADH]and[rp]to quantify the redox ratios in various biologicaltissues.The advancement has enabled us to identify an array of the redox indices as quantitativeimaging,biomarkers(including[NADH],[Fp],[Fp]/[NADH]+[Fp],[NADH]/[Fp],and theirstandard deviations)for studying some important biological questions on cancer and normaltsue metabolism.We found that the redox indices were asociated or changed with(NADH)tumorigenesis(cancer versus non-cancer of human breast tisue biopsies);(2)tumor metastaticpotential;(3)tumor glucose uptake;(4)tumor p53 stat us;(5)PI3K pathway activation in pre-malignant tissue;(6)therapeutic ffects on tumors;(7)embryonic stem cell diferentiation;(8)the heart under fasting,Together,our work demonstrated that the tisue redox indices obtainedfrom the redox scanning technique may provide usefil information about tisue met abolism and physiology status in normal and diseased tissues.The Chance redox scanner and other redoximaging techniques may have wide-ranging potential applications in many fields,such as cancer,diabetes,developmental process,mitochondrial diseases,neurodegenerative diseases,and aging.He N.Xu Lin Z.Li 2014Journal of Innovative Optical Health Sciences2014,7,2:1
