2Spatiotemporal simulation and predication of heavy metal(loid) concentrations in coal chemical industrial areas with a soil environmental capacity model显示文摘Heavy metal (loid)(HM) accumulation in the soil and the HM spatiotemporal distribution have important implication for soil pollution prevention and remediation. The present study investigated the concentrations and spatiotemporal distributions of lead (Pb), mercury (Hg), cadmium (Cd), chromium (Cr) and arsenic (As) in the topsoil of a coal chemical plant in Ningxia Aulonomous region (Ningxia), China. Topsoil samples (/?= 153) were obtained using the checkerboard method, and the HM concentrations were determined. The soil residual rates of the five HMs were measured with leaching experinients and were applied in a soil environmental capacity model to predict the quarHitiHive variation of the HM concentrations. The predicted results were employed to estimate the HM spatiotemporal distribution within 2() years with the Kriging technique. The number of sampling sites, where all five HM concentratio ns exceed their corresponding background values in Ningxia, would be increased from 0 to 90% within 1() years of the plant operation. In addition, Pb and Cd were distributed along the traffic routes. Mercury and As were distributed near fuel gas emission vents. Chromium was mainly accumulated in slag dumps. 4Extraction and back-extraction behaviors of 14 rare earth elements from sulfuric acid medium by TODGA显示文摘The unique physical and chemical properties of rare earth elements lay the foundation for their extensive application. N,N,N',N' Tetra-octyl-3-oxopentanediamide(TODGA) is excellent in its ability of extracting rare earth elements and it is favored for green initiative. In this paper, the extraction and back-extraction of14 rare earth elements by TODGA were studied. Experiments show that in conditions of 6 mol/L sulfuric acid, the extraction temperature of 25 ℃,the phase ratio of 1:1 and 0.04 mol/LTODGA(aviation kerosene as the diluent), the extraction rates of 14 rare earth elements including lanthanum, cerium, praseodymium,neodymium, europium, gadolinium, terbium, dysprosium, holmium, erbium, thulium, ytterbium, lutetium, and yttrium were 99.00%-99.73%. Mixed with hydrochloric acid and nitric acid(HCl 3.5 mol/L, HNO_30.5 mol/L), the recoveries of the 14 rare earth elements are 91.52%-99.91% when the extraction temperature is 25 ℃ and the ratio is 1:1. The following application is based on the optimum conditions above with practical samples(from the roasting production line of China North Rare Earth High-tech Company Limited) for extraction and back-extraction experiments. 6Advances in Fe(Ⅲ)bioreduction and its application prospect for groundwater remediation:A review显示文摘Microbial Fe(Ⅲ)reduction is a significant driving force for the biogeochemical cycles of C,O,P,S,N,and dominates the natural bio-purification of contaminants in groundwater(e.g.,petroleum hydrocarbons,chlorinated ethane,and chromium).In this review,the mechanisms and environmental significance of Fe(Ⅲ)(hydro)oxides bioreduction are summarized.Compared with crystalline Fe(Ⅲ)(hydro)oxides,amorphous Fe(m)(hydro)oxides are more bioavailable.Ligand and electron shuttle both play an important role in microbial Fe(Ⅲ)reduction.The restrictive factors of Fe(Ⅲ)(hydro)oxides bioreduction should be further investigated to reveal the characteristics and mechanisms of the process.It will improve the bioavailability of crystalline Fe(Ⅲ)(hydro)oxides and accelerate the anaerobic oxidation efficiency of the reduction state pollutants.Furthermore,the approach to extract,culture,and incubate the functional Fe(Ⅲ)reducing bacteria from actual complicated environment,and applying it to the bioremediation of organic,ammonia,and heavy metals contaminated groundwater will become a research topic in the future.There are a broad application prospects of Fe(Ⅲ)(hydro)oxides bioreduction to groundwater bioremediation,which includes the in situ injection and permeable reactive barriers and the innovative Kariz wells system.The study provides an important reference for the treatment of reduced pollutants in contaminated groundwater.Yu Jiang Beidou Xi Rui Li Mingxiao Li Zheng Xu Yuning Yang Shaobo Gao 2019Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2019,13,6:3

8Emerging role of cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator- an epithelial chloride channel in gastrointestinal cancers显示文摘Cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator(CFTR), a glycoprotein with 1480 amino acids, has been well established as a chloride channel mainly expressed in the epithelial cells of various tissues and organs such as lungs, sweat glands, gastrointestinal system, and reproductive organs. Although defective CFTR leads to cystic fibrosis, a common genetic disorder in the Caucasian population, there is accumulating evidence that suggests a novel role of CFTR in various cancers, especially in gastroenterological cancers, such as pancreatic cancer and colon cancer. In this review, we summarize the emerging findings that link CFTR with various cancers, with focus on the association between CFTR defects and gastrointestinal cancers as well as the underlying mechanisms. 14Growth behavior of CVD diamond films with enhanced electron field emission properties over a wide range of experimental parameters显示文摘In this study, diamond films were synthesized on silicon substrates by microwave plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition(CVD) over a wide range of experimental parameters. The effects of the microwave power,CH_4/H_2 ratio and gas pressure on the morphology, growth rate, composition, and quality of diamond films were investigated by means of scanning electron microscope(SEM), X-ray diffraction(XRD), Raman spectroscopy and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS). A rise of microwave power can lead to an increasing pyrolysis of hydrogen and methane, so that the microcrystalline diamond film could be synthesized at low CH_4/H_2 levels. Gas pressure has similar effect in changing the morphology of diamond films, and high gas pressure also results in dramatically increased grain size. However,diamond film is deteriorated at high CH_4/H_2 ratio due to the abundant graphite content including in the films. Under an extreme condition of high microwave power of 10 kW and high CH_4 concentration, a hybrid film composed of diamond/graphite was successfully formed in the absence of N_2 or Ar,which is different from other reports. This composite structure has an excellent measured sheet resistance of 10-100 Ω/Sqr. which allows it to be utilized as field electron emitter. 17Fabrication of SmCo_(5) alloy via cobalt-induced calciothermic reduction and magnetic properties of its ribbon显示文摘SmCo_(5)alloy was prepared via direct calciothermic reduction using anhydrous samarium fluoride(SmF_(3))as raw material and cobalt as inducer.Results of the thermodynamic calculation show that the direct reduction of cobalt-induced SmF_(3)for preparing SmCo_(5)alloy is feasible.An alloy with 33.89 wt%samarium and a yield of 96.45%were achieved under the optimal conditions of 10%and 20%excess of SmF_(3)and calcium over the stoichiometry,respectively,and 1450℃for 4 min.The X-ray diffraction results show that the reduction products are SmCo_(5)alloy and CaF_(2).The scanning electron microscopy micrograph of the SmCo_(5)alloy ingot exhibits a distinct dendritic morphology composed of samarium and cobalt.The X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy shows that the atomic ratio of samarium to cobalt is approximately 1:5 and both elements demonstrate zero valency(Sm^(0),Co^(0)).The magnetic properties measurement of the SmCo_(5)alloy melt-spun ribbon shows the remanent magnetization B_r=0.59 T,intrinsic coercivity H_(Ci)=345.82 kA/m and maximum magnetic energy density(BH)_(max)=42.20 kJ/m^(3).These results may be helpful for the development of novel valence-variable rare-earth alloys.Donghui Liu Fei Niu Xiaolin Zhang Yuning Meng Youming Yang 2021Journal of Rare Earths2021,39,5:1

19Distinctive Scleritome with Marginal Tubercles of a New Palaeoscolecid Worm from the Shipai Fauna(Cambrian Epoch 2) at Three Gorges, South China显示文摘SEM analysis of trunk ornamentation on a compressed palaeoscolecid fossil from the Shipai fauna, Cambrian Series 2 and Stage 4 at Three Gorges, South China, allows a reassignment of the material to a new taxon, Sanxiascolex papillogyrus gen. et sp. nov. The preserved body is entirely annulated. Each annulus is ornamented by four rows of irregularly alternating plates and each plate bears numerous tubercles at the marginal region and a variable number(zero to six) of nodes at its central part. These features are unique among known palaeoscolecids. Comparative analyses with other compressed palaeoscolecid macrofossils and phosphatized material on the pattern of trunk ornamentation indicates that a detailed examination of the cuticle ornament weighs heavily in analyses of their taxonomic distinctions. A similar sclerite pattern to that of S. papillogyrus has been found in some phosphatized palaeoscolecid cuticle fragments as well as in isolated sclerites. The upper series of nodes and tubercles of these sclerites suggest an accretional mode of sclerite growth. The considerable variation in node number observed across the plates of S. papillogyrus demonstrates that phosphatic palaeoscolecid taxonomy based on relatively minor variations in the number of sclerite nodes should perhaps be reconsidered. 20PARTICLE FILTERING BASED AUTOREGRESSIVE CHANNEL PREDICTION MODEL显示文摘A particle filtering based AutoRegressive (AR) channel prediction model is presented for cognitive radio systems. Firstly, this paper introduces the particle filtering and the system model. Secondly, the AR model of order p is used to approximate the flat Rayleigh fading channels; its stability is discussed, and an algorithm for solving the AR model parameters is also given. Finally, an AR channel prediction model based on particle filtering and second-order AR model is presented.
