| 1 | Review of renewable energy-based hydrogen production processes for sustainable energy innovation显示文摘In this review,we primarily analyze the hydrogen production technologies based on water and biomass,including the economic,technological,and environmental impacts of different types of hydrogen production technologies based on these materials,and comprehensively compare them.Our analyses indicate that all renewable energy-based approaches for hydrogen production are more environmentally friendly than fossil-based hydrogen generation approaches.However,the technical ease and economic efficiency of hydrogen production from renewable sources of energy needs to be further improved in order to be applied on a large scale.Compared with other renewable energy-based methods,hydrogen production via biomass electrolysis has several advantages,including the ease of directly using raw biomass.Furthermore,its environmental impact is smaller than other approaches.Moreover,using a noble metal,catalyst-free anode for this approach can ensure a considerably low power consumption,which makes it a promising candidate for clean and efficient hydrogen production in the future. | Mengjiao Wang Guizhou Wang Zhenxin Sun Yukui Zhang Dong Xu | 2019 | Global Energy Interconnection2019,2,5: | 14 |
| 2 | Preparation of novel bovine hemoglobin surface-imprinted polystyrene nanoparticles with magnetic susceptibility显示文摘In this research, a surface imprinting strategy has been adopted in protein imprinting. Bovine hemo-globin surface-imprinted polystyrene (PS) nanoparticles with magnetic susceptibility have been syn-thesized through multistage core-shell polymerization system using 3-aminophenylboronic acid (APBA) as functional and cross-linking monomers. Superparamagnetic molecularly imprinted polystyrene nanospheres with poly(APBA) thin films have been synthesized and used for the first time for protein molecular imprinting in an aqueous solution. The magnetic susceptibility is imparted through the successful encapsulation of Fe3O4 nanoparticles. The morphology, adsorption, and recognition prop-erties of superparamagnetic molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs) have been investigated using transmission electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, thermogravimetric analysis, and vibrating sample magnetometer. Rebinding experimental results show that poly(APBA) MIPs-coated superparamagnetic PS nanoparticles have high adsorption capacity for template protein bovine hemoglobin and compara-tively low nonspecific adsorption. | 5 | Spatio-temporal variation in rock exhumation linked to large-scale shear zones in the southeastern Tibetan Plateau显示文摘Crustal-scale shear zones are believed to have played an important role in the tectonic and landscape evolution of orogens. However, the variation of long-term rock exhumation between the interior of shear zones and adjacent regions has not been documented in detail. In this study, we obtained new zircon U-Pb, biotite ^(40)Ar/^(39)Ar, zircon and apatite(U-Th)/He data, and conducted inverse thermal history modeling from two age-elevation profiles(the Pianma and Tu'er profiles) in the southeastern Tibetan Plateau. Our goal is to constrain the exhumation history of the Gaoligong and Chongshan shear zones and adjacent regions, so as to explore the effect of the shear zones on exhumation and their thermal effect on cooling that should not be ignored. Our results suggest that during the interval of 18–11 Ma the exhumation rates of rocks within the Gaoligong shear zone are anomalously high compared with those outside of. The rapid cooling during 18–11 Ma appears to be restricted to the shear zone, likely due to localized thermal effects of shearing and exhumation. After 11 Ma, both the areas within and outside of the shear zones experienced a similar two-stage exhumation history: slower cooling until the early Pliocene, and then a rapid increase in cooling rate since the early Pliocene. Our results indicate a synchronized exhumation but with spatially varied exhumation rates. | 6 | A novel organic-inorganic hybrid monolith for trypsin immobilization显示文摘In proteomics, attention has focused on various immobilized enzyme reactors (IMERs) for the realization of high throughput digestion. In this report, a novel organic-inorganic hybrid monolith based IMER was prepared in a 100 μm i.d. capillary with 3-glycidoxypropyltrimethoxysilane (GLYMO) as the monomer and tetraethoxysilane (TEOS) as the crosslinker. Trypsin immobilization was achieved via the reaction between vicinal diol groups, which were obtained from hydrolysis of epoxy groups, and the amino groups of trypsin. Bovine serum albumin was digested thoroughly by this IMER in 47 s. After micro-reverse phase liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (μRPLC-MS/MS) analysis and database searching, beyond 35% sequence coverage was obtained, and the result was comparable to that of 12 h in solution digestion. | 8 | Physicochemical Properties and Gasification Reactivity of the Ultrafine Semi-char derived from a Bench-scale Fluidized Bed Gasifier显示文摘Zhundong coalfield is the largest intact coalfield worldwide and fluidized bed gasification has been considered as a promising way to achieve its clean and efficient utilization. The purpose of this study is to investigate the physicochemical properties and gasification reactivity of the ultrafine semi-char, derived from a bench-scale fluidized bed gasifier, using Zhundong coal as fuel. The results obtained are as follows. In comparison to the raw coal, the carbon and ash content of the semi-char increase after partial gasification, but the ash fusion temperatures of them show no significant difference. Particularly, 76.53% of the sodium in the feed coal has released to the gas phase after fluidized bed gasification. The chemical compositions of the semi-char are closely related to its particle size, attributable to the distinctly different natures of diverse elements. The semi-char exhibits a higher graphitization degree, higher BET surface area, and richer meso-and macropores, which results in superior gasification reactivity than the coal char. The chemical reactivity of the semi-char is significantly improved by an increased gasification temperature, which suggests the necessity of regasification of the semi-char at a higher temperature. | 9 | Comparison of Achievable Rates of OFDM and Single Carrier Communication Systems显示文摘This paper presents a theoretical comparison of a single carrier system and a multi-carrier system through an analysis of the achievable rate under frequency selective fading with channel state information at the receiver. A scheme was designed to compare the achievable rates of a single carrier system and an Or-thogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) system. A thorough theoretical analysis of the two-path channel was conducted, and simulations were also used to analyze practical stochastic channels. Analysis and simulation results show that the achievable rates of the two approaches are comparable when the channel is flat fading. However, when the channel is frequency selective fading, the single carrier system outperforms the OFDM system. | 10 | Circulating Fluidized Bed Gasification of Low Rank Coal:Influence of O2/C Molar Ratio on Gasification Performance and Sulphur Transformation显示文摘To promote the utilization efficiency of coal resources,and to assist with the control of sulphur during gasification and/or downstream processes,it is essential to gain basic knowledge of sulphur transformation associated with gasification performance.In this research we investigated the influence of O_2/C molar ratio both on gasification performance and sulphur transformation of a low rank coal,and the sulphur transformation mechanism was also discussed.Experiments were performed in a circulating fluidized bed gasifier with O_2/C molar ratio ranging from 0.39 to 0.78 mol/mol.The results showed that increasing the O_2/C molar ratio from 0.39 to 0.78 mol/mol can increase carbon conversion from 57.65%to 91.92%,and increase sulphur release ratio from 29.66%to63.11%.The increase of O_2/C molar ratio favors the formation of H_2S,and also favors the retained sulphur transforming to more stable forms.Due to the reducing conditions of coal gasification,H_2S is the main form of the released sulphur,which could be formed by decomposition of pyrite and by secondary reactions.Bottom char shows lower sulphur content than fly ash,and mainly exist as sulphates.X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)measurements also show that the intensity of pyrite declines and the intensity of sulphates increases for fly ash and bottom char,and the change is more obvious for bottom char.During CFB gasification process,bigger char particles circulate in the system and have longer residence time for further reaction,which favors the release of sulphur species and can enhance the retained sulphur transforming to more stable forms. | ZHANG Haixia ZHANG Yukui ZHU Zhiping LU Qinggang | 2016 | Journal of Thermal Science2016,25,4: | 3 |
| 11 | CodeHop: physical layer error correction and encryption with LDPC-based code hopping显示文摘This paper proposes a novel scheme named Code Hop, which provides both information reliability and security using code hopping based on low-density parity-check(LDPC) codes. In contrast to traditional systems that perform error correction and encryption at different layers, Code Hop combines these two operations into a single step at physical layer, such that each plaintext message is jointly encoded and encrypted by a hopping parity-check matrix. According to a pseudo-random number generator(PRNG), the hopping matrix may rapidly switch among a sequence of LDPC parity-check matrices, which is randomly generated by a structured-random protograph expanding technique. Simulations show that reliable communication can be achieved by Code Hop with good error-correcting performance. In the meantime, Code Hop may improve the security of traditional systems such as GSM. Taking the A5/1 stream cipher used in GSM as the PRNG, it is shown that Code Hop is resistant to existing chosen-plaintext attacks that break A5/1 cipher already. | 17 | Identification and characterization of BoPUB3: a novel interaction protein with S-locus receptor kinase in Brassica oleracea L.显示文摘Armadillo repeat containing 1 (ARC1) is phosphorylated by S-locus receptor kinase (SRK) and functions as a positive regulator in self-incompatibility response of Brassica. However, ARC1 only causes partial breakdown of the self-incompatibility response, and other SRK downstream factors may also participate in the self-incompatibility signaling pathway. In the present study, to search for SRK downstream targets, a plant U-box protein 3 (BoPUB3) was identified from the stigma of Brassica oleracea L. BoPUB3 was highly expressed in the stigma, and its expression was increased with the stigma development and reached to the highest level in the mature-stage stigma. BoPUB3, a 76.8-kDa protein with 697 amino acids, is a member of the PUB-ARM family and contains three domain characteristics of BoARC1, including a U-box N-terminal domain, a U-box motif, and a C-terminal arm repeat domain. The phylogenic tree showed that BoPUB3 was close to BoARC1. The synteny analysis revealed that B. oleracea chromosomal region containing BoPUB3 had high synteny with the Arabidopsis thaliana chromosomal region containing AtPUB3 (At3G54790). In addition, the subcellular localization analysis showed that BoPUB3 primarily localized in the plasma membrane and also in the cytoplasm. The combination of the yeast two-hybrid and in vitro binding assay showed that both BoPUB3 and BoARC1 could interact with SRK kinase domain, and SRK showed much higher level of β-galactosidase activity in its interaction with BoPUB3 than with BoARC1. | 18 | High-efficiency Approach for Fabricating MTE Rotor by Micro-EDM and Micro-extrusion显示文摘Micro-gas turbine engine(MTE) rotor is an important indicator of its property, therefore, the manufacturing technology of the microminiature rotor has become a hot area of research at home and abroad. At present, the main manufacturing technologies of the MTE rotor are directed forming fabrication technologies. However, these technologies have a series of problems, such as complex processing technology high manufacturing cost, and low processing efficiency, and so on. This paper takes advantage of micro electric discharge machining(micro-EDM) in the field of microminiature molds manufacturing, organizes many processing technologies of micro-EDM reasonably to improve processing accuracy, presents an integrated micro-EDM technology and its process flow to fabricate MTE rotor die, and conducts a series of experiments to verify efficiency of this integrated micro-EDM. The experiments results show that the MTE rotor die has sharp outline and ensure the good consistency of MTE rotor blades. Meanwhile, the MTE rotor die is applied to micro extrusion equipment, and technologies of micro-EDM and micro forming machining are combined based on the idea of the molds manufacturing, so the MTE rotor with higher aspect ratio and better consistency of blades can be manufactured efficiently.
