1Influence of microwave treatment under a hydrogen or methane atmosphere on the flotability of the macerals in Shenfu coals显示文摘The modification of Shenfu coals by a microwave treatment carried out under a hydrogen or a methane atmosphere, and the subsequent maceral separation by flotation, are described in this paper. The surface contact angle and the Zeta potential of the coal macerals were measured both with and without the treat- ment. The results show that the surface wettability of SFF (Shenfu Fusain) and SFV (Shenfu Vitrain) can be changed by the microwave treatment. An increase in the difference in surface wettability of SFF and SFV causes in a subsequent increase in the enrichment of inertinite and vitrinite. 3ULK1 and JNK are involved in mitophagy incurred by LRRK2 G2019S expression显示文摘Mutations in LR RK2(Leucine rich repeat kinase 2)are a major cause of Parkinson’s disease(PD).We and others reported recently that expression of the pathogenic gain-of-function mutant form of LRRK2,LRRK2 G2019S,induc-es mitochondrial fi ssion in neurons through DLP1.Here we provide evidence that expression of LRRK2 G2019S stimulates mitochondria loss or mitophagy.We have char-acterized several LRRK2 interacting proteins and found that LRRK2 interacts with ULK1 which plays an essential role in autophagy.Knockdown of either ULK1 or DLP1 expression with shRNAs suppresses LRRK2 G2019S expression-induced mitochondrial clearance,suggesting that LRRK2 G2019S expression induces mitochondrial fi ssion through DLP1 followed by mitophagy via an ULK1 dependent pathway.In addition to ULK1,we found that LRRK2 interacts with the endogenous MKK4/7,JIP3 and coordinates with them in the activation of JNK signaling.Interestingly,LRRK2 G2019S-induced loss of mitochon-dria can also be suppressed by 3 different JNK inhibitors,implying the involvement of the JNK pathway in the path-ogenic mechanism of mutated LRRK2.Thus our fi ndings may provide an insight into the complicated pathogenesis of PD as well as some clues to the development of novel therapeutic strategies.Yuangang Zhu Chunyan Wang Mei Yu Jie Cui Liang Liu Zhiheng Xu 2013Protein & Cell2013,4,9:6
4Towards a universal organogelator:A general mixing approach to fabricate various organic compounds into organogels显示文摘Low-molecular-weight organogels(LMOG) have been attracting a surge interest in fabricating soft materials.Although the finding of the gelator molecules has been developed from serendipity to objective design,the achievement of the gelator molecules still needs good design and tedious organic synthesis.In this paper,we proposed a simple and general mixing approach to get the organogel for nearly all the organic compounds and even soluble nanoparticles without any modification.We have designed a universal gelator molecule,which forms organogels with more than 40 kinds of organic solvents from aploar to polar solvents.More interestingly,when other organic compounds or even nanomaterials,which are soluble in certain organic solvents,are mixed with this gelator molecule,they can form organogels no matter whether the individual compounds could form organogel or not.This method is applicable to nearly all kinds of soluble organic compounds and opens an efficient and universal way to fabricate gel materials.DUAN PengFei LI YuanGang JIANG Jian WANG TianYu LIU MingHua 2011Science China Chemistry2011,54,7:5
5Virtual reality-based rehabilitation in patients following total knee arthroplasty:a systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials显示文摘Background:Physical therapy is regarded as an essential aspect in achieving optimal outcomes following total knee arthroplasty(TKA).The coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)pandemic has made face-to-face rehabilitation inaccessible.Virtual reality(VR)is increasingly regarded as a potentially effective option for offering health care interventions.This systematic review and meta-analysis investigate VR-based rehabilitation's effectiveness on outcomes following TKA.Methods:From inception to May 22,2021,PubMed/Medline,Embase,Web of Science,the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials,Scopus,PsycINFO,Physiotherapy Evidence Database,China National Knowledge Infrastructure,and Wanfang were comprehensively searched to identify randomized controlled trials(RCTs)evaluating the effect of VR-based rehabilitation on patients following TKA according to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses statement and the Cochrane Handbook for Systematic Reviews of Interventions.Results:Eight studies were included in the systematic review,and seven studies were included in the meta-analysis.VR-based rehabilitation significantly improved visual analog scale(VAS)scores within 1 month(standardized mean difference[SMD]:−0.44;95%confidence interval[CI]:−0.79 to−0.08,P=0.02),the Western Ontario and McMaster Universities Osteoarthritis Index(WOMAC)within 1 month(SMD:−0.71;95%CI:−1.03 to−0.40,P<0.01),and the Hospital for Special Surgery Knee Score(HSS)within 1 month and between 2 months and 3 months(MD:7.62;95%CI:5.77 to 9.47,P<0.01;MD:10.15;95%CI:8.03 to 12.27,P<0.01;respectively)following TKA compared to conventional rehabilitation.No significant difference was found in terms of the Timed Up and Go(TUG)test.Conclusions:VR-based rehabilitation improved pain and function but not postural control following TKA compared to conventional rehabilitation.More high-quality RCTs are needed to prove the advantage of VR-based rehabilitation.As the COVID-19 pandemic continues,it is necessary to promote this rehabilitation model.Linbo Peng Yi Zeng Yuangang Wu Haibo Si Bin Shen 2022Chinese Medical Journal2022,,2:5
6Developing conservation strategies for Pinus koraiensis and Eleutherococcus senticosus by using model-based geographic distributions显示文摘We described potential changes in the geographic distribution and occurrence probability of Pinus koraiensis Sieb. et Zucc. and Eleutherococcus senticosus(Rupr. et Maxim.) Maxim. in the counties of northeast China. This information was used to identify priority areas for protection and provide protection and management recommendations within each studied county. The two species were mapped in 2884 study plots throughout this region over a 4-year period(38 400N–53 300 N, 115 050E–135 020E). We used the species distribution models(Maxent), systematic conservation planning models(Marxan), and Geographic Information Systems(Arc GIS10.0). The distributions of two species were correlated in the study area, enabling unique and economically viable joint conservation measures to be implemented. Three models were combined to identify feasible priority conservation sites. We used local spatial statistics to assess all identified conservation areas in relation to potential climate change based shifts in the geographic distribution of the two species. Model-based conservation strategies were used to identify effective measures to protect and utilize these two tree species in the study region. 8The epigallocatechin gallate derivative Y_6 reverses drug resistance mediated by the ABCB1 transporter both in vitro and in vivo显示文摘Previously, we reported that Y_6, a new epigallocatechin gallate derivative, is efficacious in reversing doxorubicin(DOX)–mediated resistance in hepatocellular carcinoma BEL-7404/DOX cells. In this study, we evaluated the efficacy of Y_6 in reversing drug resistance both in vitro and in vivo by determining its effect on the adenosine triphosphate-binding cassette protein B1 transporter(ABCB1 or P-glycoprotein, P-gp). Our results showed that Y_6 significantly sensitized cells overexpressing the ABCB1 transporter to anticancer drugs that are ABCB1 substrates. Y_6 significantly stimulated the adenosine triphosphatase activity of ABCB1. Furthermore, Y_6 exhibited a higher docking score as compared with epigallocatechin gallate inside the transmembrane domain of ABCB1. In addition, in the nude mousetumor xenograft model, Y_6(110 mg/kg, intragastric administration), in combination with doxorubicin(2 mg/kg, intraperitoneal injection), significantly inhibited the growth of BEL-7404/DOX cell xenograft tumors, compared to equivalent epigallocatechin gallate. 14Source-field-plated Ga_2O_3 MOSFET with a breakdown voltage of 550 V显示文摘Ga_2O_3 metal–oxide–semiconductor field-effect transistors(MOSFETs) with high-breakdown characteristics were fabricated on a homoepitaxial n-typed β-Ga_2O_3 film, which was grown by metal organic chemical vapor deposition(MOCVD) on an Fedoped semi-insulating(010) Ga_2O_3 substrate. The structure consisted of a 400 nm unintentionally doped(UID) Ga_2O_3 buffer layer and an 80 nm Si-doped channel layer. A high k HfO_2 gate dielectric film formed by atomic layer deposition was employed to reduce the gate leakage. Moreover, a source-connected field plate was introduced to enhance the breakdown characteristics. The drain saturation current density of the fabricated device reached 101 mA/mm at V_(gs) of 3 V. The off-state current was as low as 7.1 ×10^(-11) A/mm, and the drain current I_(ON)/I_(OFF) ratio reached 10~9.
