1Approaches to establish Q-markers for the quality standards of traditional Chinese medicines显示文摘Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) has played a pivotal role in maintaining the health of Chinese people and is now gaining increasing acceptance around the global scope. However, TCM is confronting more and more concerns with respect to its quality. The intrinsic 'multicomponent and multitarget' feature of TCM necessitates the establishment of a unique quality and bioactivity evaluation system, which is different from that of the Western medicine. However, TCM is investigated essentially as'herbal medicine' or 'natural product', and the pharmacopoeia quality monographs are actually chemicalmarkers-based, which can ensure the consistency only in the assigned chemical markers, but, to some extent, have deviated from the basic TCM theory. A concept of 'quality marker'(Q-marker), following the 'property-effect-component' theory, is proposed. The establishment of Q-marker integrates multidisciplinary technologies like natural products chemistry, analytical chemistry, bionics, chemometrics,pharmacology, systems biology, and pharmacodynamics, etc. Q-marker-based fingerprint and multicomponent determination conduce to the construction of more scientific quality control system of TCM.This review delineates the background, definition, and properties of Q-marker, and the associated technologies applied for its establishment. 2Sulfur-encapsulated in heteroatom-doped hierarchical porous carbon derived from goat hair for high performance lithium–sulfur batteries显示文摘Biomass-derived carbon materials have aroused widespread concern as host material of sulfur to enhance electrochemical performances for lithium–sulfur batteries. Herein, goat hair, as a low-cost and eco-friendly precursor, is employed to fabricate cauliflower-like in-situ nitrogen, oxygen and phosphorus tri-doped porous biomass carbon(NOPC) by a facile activation with H_3PO_4 and carbonization process.The morphology and microstructure of NOPC can be readily tuned by altering pyrolysis temperature. The as-prepared NOPC matrix material carbonized at 600 °C possesses 3D hierarchical porous structure, high specific surface area(535.352 m^2 g^(-1)), and appropriate pore size and pore size distribution. Encapsulating sulfur into the NOPC depends on a stem-melting technology as cathode materials of Li–S batteries. Due to the synergistic effect of special physical structure and inherent tri-doping of N, O and P, electrons and ions transfer and utilization of active sulfur in the materials are improved, and the shuttle behaviors of soluble lithium polysulfides are also mitigated. Consequently, the S/NOPC-600 composite exhibits excellent electrochemical performance, giving a high initial discharge capacity of 1185 mA h g^(-1) at 0.05 C and maintaining a relatively considerable capacity of 489 m A h g^(-1) at 0.2 C after 300 cycles. 3Processing technique of target capsule's micro inflation hole with a scanning probe显示文摘To resolve inflation of inertial confinement fusion (ICF) target and encapsulation of micro inflation hole with adhesive, a scanning probe microscope (SPM) diamond microprobe was used as the cutting tool with SPM in contact mode. Some parameters influencing the quality of micro inflation hole, such as the scanning direction of the diamond tip, the scanning rate and the contact force are discussed. Accurate taper hole was achieved whose dimension and precision could meet the requirements of inflation and encapsulation technique of micro hole. The experimental results show that using SPM diamond microprobe as the cutting tool and with special processing technique, the precision machining of target capsule's taper inflation hole can be realized. 4Distribution of Traditional Chinese Medicine patterns in 324 cases with hepatitis B-related acute-on-chronic liver failure:a prospective,cross-sectional survey显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To determine the distribution of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) patterns in hepatitis B-related acute-on-chronic liver failure(HB-ACLF) in different stages for guiding clinical prescriptions and treatments.METHODS:A prospective,cross-sectional survey method was used in this study.A total of 324 cases with HB-ACLF in China were involved.RESULTS:The general frequency of TCM patterns in HB-ACLF were as follows:Heat Toxin Stagnation Pattern(134/324,41.36%),Damp-heat Obstruction Pattern(66/324,20.37%),Yang Qi Deficiency Pattern(52/324,16.05%),and Liver and Kidney Yin Deficiency Pattern(26/324,8.02%).In the early stage of HB-ACLF,there was a remarkably higher percentage of excessive patterns than those in the middle and late stage.The incidence of Heat Toxin Stagnation reached 58.57%(82/140) in the early stage,while it was 33.96%(36/106) in the middle stage and 20.51%(16/78) in the late stage.In the early stage of HB-ACLF,excessive patterns,such as the Heat Toxin Stagnation Pattern,were more prevalent than those in the middle and late stages(P<α ' = 0.003).However,in the late stage of HB-ACLF,deficient patterns,such as the Yang Qi Deficiency Pattern,were more prevalent than those in the early and middle stages.The Yang Qi Deficiency Pattern had a higher rate of 41.03%(32/78) in the late stage compared with that of 20.75%(22/106) in the middle stage and 8.57%(12/140,P<α ' =0.003) in the early stage.The distribution of the other patterns was not significant between the three stages(P>0.003).CONCLUSIONS:There are four major patterns of HB-ACLF,including the Heat Toxin Stagnation Pattern,the Damp-heat Obstruction Pattern,the Yang Qi Deficiency Pattern,and the Liver and Kidney Yin Deficiency Pattern.The Heat Toxin Stagnation and Yang Qi Deficiency Patterns are the representative patterns in the early and late stages of HB-ACLF.In the middle stage of HB-ACLF,the TCM patterns vary in a complicated manner,with no significant difference among the patterns.Treatment for HB-ACLF should vary with the different representative patterns in the early and late stages.Xiaoyu Hu Yang Zhang Guo Chen Yibei Li Sen Zhong 2012Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2012,32,4:6
5Fine-Tuned Expression of Programmed Death 1 Ligands in Mature Dendritic Cells Stimulated by CD40 Ligand is Critical for the Induction of an Efficient Tumor Specific Immune Response显示文摘During maturation,murine myeloid dendritic cells (DCs) upregulated the expressions of CD11c,CD25,CD40,CD80,CD86,MHC Ⅱ and programmed death 1 ligands 1 and 2 (PD-L1 and PD-L2). Differential expression patterns of PD-L1 and PD-L2 were found when DCs were triggered by CD40 ligand and TNF-α. PD-L1 expression was repressed and PD-L2 expression remained unchanged in mature CD40-ligated DCs,whereas TNF-α stimulated DCs kept high expression of PD-L1 and significantly enhanced PD-L2 expression on DCs. Proliferations of T lymphocytes stimulated by immature DCs were enhanced by blockade of the PD-1 and PD-1 ligand interaction. But inhibitive effects were found in T lymphocytes stimulated by CD40-ligated DCs. 6The Abnormal High Expression of B Cell Activating Factor Belonging to TNF Superfamily (BAFF) and Its Potential Role in Kidney Transplant Recipients显示文摘B cell activating factor belonging to TNF superfamily (BAFF) is a critical regulator of B cell maturation and survival. In this present study, the expression characteristic of BAFF in kidney transplantation recipients was investigated, its potential significance was analyzed and peripheral blood of follow-up kidney transplant recipients was studied. Flow cytometric assay results showed that, cell-surface BAFF was significantly highly expressed on peripheral CD3+ T lymphocytes in ≥ 5 yrs group of kidney transplant recipients, compared with other groups (p < 0.05). BAFF expression could be found on CD4+ T cells and CD8+ T cells. The BAFF mRNA levels in peripheral mononuclear cells were consistent with the protein levels. However, serum soluble BAFF levels were inter-individually different in each group. Stratified by renal function, it was found that cell-surface BAFF levels were significantly higher in those with abnormal renal function, compared with recipients with normal renal function (p < 0.05). ELISA assay results showed that expression levels of cell surface BAFF were significantly correlated with anti-HLA Ⅰ & Ⅱ antibodies. 8Preparation of Zn/TiO_2 powder and its photocatalytic performance for oxidation of P-nitrophenol显示文摘Zn-doped TiO_2 catalysts were prepared using a sol-gel method and characterized by XPS,UV-Vis,BET, XRD in this study.Under the irradiation of simulant sunlight,the photocatalytic activity for the degradation of p-nitrophenol was studied too.After irradiation for 2.5 h,the degradation percentage of p-nitrophenol could rise to more than 80%.The results showed that the spectrum absorption band edge of Zn/TiO_2 powder does not broaden obviously comparing with pure TiO_2 powder.Zinc exists as Zn (Ⅱ).When calcined at 973 K,there is a new phase as ZnTiO_3 in Zn/TiO_2 catalyst.The order of photocatalytic activity of Zn/TiO_2 catalysts calcined at different temperatures for p-nitrophenol is 773 K>673 K>873 K>573 K>973 K and the photocatalytic activity of Zn/TiO_2 catalyst cal- cined at 773 K is better than TiO_2 catalysts heated at the same temperature,and outclasses that of commercial TiO_2 catalyst.It also showed that the photocatalytic degradation of p-nitrophenol follows first-order kinetics under the irra- diation of simulant sunlight.LIU Xiuhua XU Yunshu ZHONG Zhijing FU Yibei DENG Yi 2007Nuclear Science and Techniques2007,18,1:2

13Effect of Pingan Fang, a Traditional Chinese Medicine compound, on behavioral sensitization and conditioned place preference induced by ethanol in mice显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To observe the effect of Pingan Fang(PG)on behavioral sensitization and conditioned place preference(CPP)induced by ethanol in mice,and to determine the intervention mechanism of PG on alcohol addiction.METHODS:A behavioral sensitization mouse model induced by ethanol was established to observe the effect of PG on the development and expression of behavioral sensitization induced by ethanol by recording the spontaneous activity of mice.The resident time of mice in a white box was measured to evaluate the effect of PG on developing CPP induced by ethanol.Concentrations of dopamine(DA),Glutamate(Glu),and?-aminobutyric acid(GABA)in the corresponding mesolimbic region of mice were determined by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay.RESULTS:Although PG did not alter spontaneous activity in mice,it reduced the growth of spontaneous activity stimulated by ethanol.The residence time in the white box after-ethanol-training of mice in CPP experiments was decreased.CONCLUSION:Our data suggested that PG blocked the development and expression of behavioral sensitization induced by ethanol and the development of CPP in mice.The mechanism might be related to the decreased content of DA and Glu and increased content of GABA in the mesolimbic dopamine system.This suggests that PG might be useful for the prevention and treatment of alcohol addiction.Jia Lingyan Li Yibei Hu Xiaoyu Lin Wu Wen Dachao Zhong Sen 2016Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2016,36,2:1

18Discrete-time inverse linear quadratic optimal control over fnite time-horizon under noisy output measurements显示文摘In this paper,the problem of inverse quadratic optimal control over fnite time-horizon for discrete-time linear systems is considered.Our goal is to recover the corresponding quadratic objective function using noisy observations.First,the identifability of the model structure for the inverse optimal control problem is analyzed under relative degree assumption and we show the model structure is strictly globally identifable.Next,we study the inverse optimal control problem whose initial state distribution and the observation noise distribution are unknown,yet the exact observations on the initial states are available.We formulate the problem as a risk minimization problem and approximate the problem using empirical average.It is further shown that the solution to the approximated problem is statistically consistent under the assumption of relative degrees.We then study the case where the exact observations on the initial states are not available,yet the observation noises are known to be white Gaussian distributed and the distribution of the initial state is also Gaussian(with unknown mean and covariance).EM-algorithm is used to estimate the parameters in the objective function.The efectiveness of our results are demonstrated by numerical examples.Han Zhang Yibei Li Xiaoming Hu 2021Control Theory and Technology2021,19,4:1
