| 3 | Morphology-controllable synthesis and characterization of CeO_2 nanocrystals显示文摘CeO 2 nanocrystals with different morphologies were synthesized by adjusting the pH value of the starting solution in water-in-oil microemulsion.The obtained samples were characterized by transmission electron microscopy (TEM),X-ray diffraction (XRD),thermogravimetric analysis and different thermal analysis (TGA/DTA),Brunauer-Emmet-Teller (BET) surface area measurement,ultraviolet-visible absorption (UV-vis) spectroscopy and photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopy.Results show that the morphologies of CeO 2 were transformed from granular to spherical and to rod-like while the pH of the starting solution varied from 5 to 8 and to 11.All samples were indexed to the phase of CeO 2 and Ce(OH) 4,and the molar ratio of CeO 2 to Ce(OH) 4 was deduced to be about 0.25.The morphologies of CeO 2 nanocrystals had but slight influence on their specific surface areas,UV-vis spectra and PL spectra.The band gap energies of different morphological samples were estimated by UV-vis spectroscopic method. | Yangfeng Huang Yebin Cai Dongkai Qiao Hao Liu | 2011 | Particuology2011,9,2: | 3 |

| 14 | Hydrothermal synthesis and optical properties of Zn_(1-x)Mn_xS nanorods显示文摘Zn1-xMnxS(x = 0-0.05) nanorods were successfully synthesized through a hydrothermal route. The morphology, composition and microstructure of Zn1-x MnxS nanorods were characterized respectively by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and Raman spectrometer. The optical properties of Zn1-xMnxS nanorods were determineded by UV-Vis absorption spectroscopy and photo- luminescence (PL) emission spectroscopy. The results show that the introduction of Mn2+ on interstitial sites in ZnS lattice has significant influence on the Raman spectra, UV-Vis absorption spectra and PL emis- sion spectra. With the increase of Mn2+ , the lengths of the sampled nanorods become shorter and the morphologies of the products show disorder accompanied by some nanoparticles. The absorption band edge shifts to longer wavelength. The intensity of the ZnS-related emission gradually becomes weaker, whereas, the Mn2+ -related broad emission spectra located at 580 nm gradually red-shifts and increases. Occupation of Zn2+ sites in the lattice by Mn2+ ions results in lattice distortion and influences the energy level structure of ZnS.
