Studies on the evolution process of rockbursts in deep tunnels显示文摘This paper focuses on the evolution processes of different types of rockbursts occurring in deep tunnels. A series of laboratory tests and in-situ monitoring in deep tunnels excavated by tunnel boring machine (TBM) and drill-and-blast (D&B) method have been conducted to understand the mechanisms and processes of the evolution of different types of rockbursts, including strain rockburst, strain-structure slip rockburst, immediate rockburst and time-delayed rockburst. Three different risk assessment methods are proposed to evaluate the intensity and potential failure depth of rockbursts. These methods can be applied before excavation and the results can be updated according to the real-time information during excavation. Two micro-seismicity based real-time warning systems have been established for predicting various intensities of rockbursts, such as slight, moderate, intensive and extremely intensive rockbursts. Meanwhile, the probability and intensity of the rockburst are also given. The strategy for excavation and support design has been suggested for various intensities of rockbursts before excavation. The strategy for dynamic control of the rockburst evolution process is also proposed according to the monitoring results. The methodology has been successfully applied to rockburst risk reduction for deep tunnels at Jinping II hydropower project. The results have illustrated the applicability of the proposed methodology and techniques concerning rockbursts. | Xiating Feng Bingrui Chen Shaojun Li Chuanqing Zhang Yaxun Xiao Guangliang Feng Hui Zhou Shili Qiu Zhouneng Zhao Yang Yu Dongfang Chen Huajun Ming | 2012 | Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2012,4,4: | 11
In-situ observations of damage-fracture evolution in surrounding rock upon unloading in 2400-m-deep tunnels显示文摘The damage-fracture evolution of deep rock mass has obvious particularity, which is revealed in 2400-mdeep tunnels by field tests. The evolution of the excavation damaged zone depth is consistent with that of the fractured zone depth. The ratio of the excavation damaged zone depth to the excavation fractured zone depth is greater than 2.0 in a rock mass with both high strength and good integrity, but less than1.5 in a rock mass with lower strength or poor integrity.Zonal disintegration in a rock mass with high strength and fair integrity is more likely to occur when it contains more than two groups of primary fractures in damaged zones.Fractures develop outward in zonal disintegration but are totally different from the single-zone fracture,in which the fractures develop inward, and it is the starting position of the fractured zone when the excavation surface of the middle pilot is 7–9 m close to the pre-set borehole and it stops after the excavation surface of the baseplate is 11–14 m away. The most intense evolution occurs around 2–4 m from the pre-set borehole in the sidewall expansion stage. The research results provide a reference for the monitoring scheme and support design of CJPL-Ⅲin its future construction. | Haosen Guo Qiancheng Sun Guangliang Feng Shaojun Li Yaxun Xiao | 2023 | International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2023,33,4: | 5

Effect of Cellular Structure on Mechanical Properties of Polyurethane Foam Curing Materials显示文摘Based on the mechanical properties and microstructure of polyurethane foam solidified material, a two-dimensional model of polyurethane foam solidified material was constructed. Polyurethane foam was obtained by fully and uniformly mixing the two components. The research was carried out through the combination of experimental test and finite element simulation. The experimental results show that when the pore density is constant, the size of the bubble hole is an important factor affecting the mechanical properties of the model. The smaller the size of the bubble hole, the less likely it is to produce stress concentration inside the model, and the stronger the resistance to material deformation. Under the random distribution, the lower the density of the polyurethane cured material, the higher the probability of damage between the adjacent bubbles, which is not conducive to the stability of the material. The density of the cured material should not be lower than 199 kg/m^3. | 郑新国 LIU Yaxun ZHANG Jinyong REN Lin 王为民 | 2019 | Journal of Wuhan University of Technology(Materials Science)2019,34,6: | 2

Dynamic analysis of 10 components of the Chinese herbal compound Wuzhuyu-tang absorbed into rat plasma显示文摘To clarify the active components of Wuzhuyu-tang, this study analyzed dynamic changes of 10 ingredients of Wuzhuyu-tang in plasma using combination high performance liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry after oral administration in rats. The results showed that seven ingredients were detected in portal vein plasma after oral administration of 16.3 or 8.15 g/kg equivalent of raw material of Wuzhuyu-tang extract. The absorption rate of limonin, evodiamine, gingerol (6-Gi), and ginsenoside-Rg1 was greater than that of isorhamnetin-3-O-β-D-glucosyl (6″→1″′)-α-L-rhamnoside, ginsenoside-Rb1 (Rb1), and ginsenoside-Re (Re). The time most elements were absorbed into the blood was 30 to 60 minutes after administration. Re, 6-Gi and Rb1 were metabolized faster. The results suggest that the seven ingredients described above are the active components for treating migraines. | Muxin Gong Yaxun Wang Jian Sun Qiwei Zhang Zhimin Wang | 2011 | Neural Regeneration Research2011,6,33: | 1

Intelligent all-fiber device: storage and logic computing显示文摘The typical functions of the optical fiber are communication and sensing. However, the fiber functions need to extend to meet the requirements of the development of artificial intelligence. This paper achieves an all-fiber device with storage and logic computing functions using a single-mode fiber and Ge_(2)Sb_(2)Te_(5)(GST) material. We use the pulse amplitude modulation(the switching energy is about 50 nJ) to switch the GST state for performing the eight-level data storage(3-bit). The all-fiber memory device has the advantages of high optical contrast(about 38%), good reversibility, and high repeatability. We implement the all-optical logic operations(“AND”and “OR”) by using two memory cells in series and parallel. For the first time, we use the single-mode optical fiber to realize storage and computing functions, and this intelligent fiber has tremendous application potential in intelligent optical fiber communication and portends a new paradigm for brain-like computing. | Zhihai Liu Siying Cheng Yu Zhang Wei Jin Xiang Li Yaru Li Yaxun Zhang Xinghua Yang Jianzhong Zhang Libo Yuan | 2022 | Photonics Research2022,10,2: | 1

Three-dimensional stress variation characteristics in deep hard rock of CJPL-Ⅱ project based on in-situ monitoring显示文摘In deep hard rock excavation, stress plays a pivotal role in inducing stress-controlled failure. While the impact of excavation-induced stress disturbance on rock failure and tunnel stability has undergone comprehensive examination through laboratory tests and numerical simulations, its validation through insitu stress tests remains unexplored. This study analyzes the three-dimensional stress changes in the surrounding rock at various depths, monitored during the excavation of B2 Lab in China Jinping Underground Laboratory Phase Ⅱ(CJPL-Ⅱ). The investigation delves into the three-dimensional stress variation characteristics in deep hard rock, encompassing stress components and principal stress. The results indicate changes in both the magnitude and direction of the principal stress during tunnel excavation. To quantitatively describe the degree of stress disturbance, a series of stress evaluation indexes are established based on the distances between stress tensors, including the stress disturbance index(SDI), the principal stress magnitude disturbance index(SDIm), and the principal stress direction disturbance index(SDId). The SDI indicates the greatest stress disturbance in the surrounding rock is 4.5 m from the tunnel wall in B2 Lab. SDIm shows that the principal stress magnitude disturbance peaks at2.5 m from the tunnel wall. SDId reveals that the largest change in principal stress direction does not necessarily occur near the tunnel wall but at a specific depth from it. The established relationship between SDI and the depth of the excavation damaged zone(EDZ) can serve as a criterion for determining the depth of the EDZ in deep hard rock engineering. Additionally, it provides a reference for future construction and support considerations. | Minzong Zheng Shaojun Li Zejie Feng Huaisheng Xu Yaxun Xiao | 2024 | International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2024,34,2: | 0
Master crack types and typical acoustic emission characteristics during rock failure显示文摘Acoustic emission(AE)signals contain substantial information about the internal fracture characteristics of rocks and are useful for revealing the laws governing the release of energy stored therein.Reported here is the evolution of rock failure with diferent master crack types as investigated using Brazilian splitting tests(BSTs),direct shear tests(DSTs),and uniaxial compression tests(UCTs).The AE parameters and typical modes of each fracture type were obtained, and the energy release characteristics of each fracture mechanism were discussed. From the observed changes in the AE parameters, the rock fracture process exhibits characteristics of staged intensifcation. The scale and energy level of crack activity in the BSTs were signifcantly lower than those in the DSTs and UCTs.The proportion of tensile cracks in the BSTs was 65%–75%,while the proportions of shear cracks in the DSTs and UCTs were 75%–85%and 70%–75%,respectively.During the rock loading process under diferent conditions, failure was accompanied by an increased number of shear cracks. The amplitude, duration, and rise time of the AE signal from rock failure were larger when the failure was dominated by shear cracks rather than tensile ones, and most of the medium-and high-energy signals had medium to low frequencies. After calculating the proposed energy amplitude ratio, the energy release of shear cracks was found to exceed that of tensile cracks at the same fracture scale. | Tongbin Zhao Pengfei Zhang Yaxun Xiao Weiyao Guo Yulong Zhang Xiufeng Zhang | 2023 | International Journal of Coal Science & Technology2023,10,1: | 0
The Time-Frequency Characteristics of Pulse Propagation Through Plasma显示文摘In this paper, propagated δ pulses through different distance of plasma are calculated, and their time-frequency characteristics are studied using CWD (Choi-William distribution). It is found that several horizontal spectra appear at early arrival time like discrete spectrum, at last time a hyperbolic curve lies in the time-frequency spectrum which corresponds to the frequency-group delay curve of plasma. To understand the time-frequency the property of a signal is helpful for obtaining the plasma parameters. | Dong Xiaoting Liu Yaxun & Wang Wenbing(Electromagnetic and Communication Laboratory, School of Electronic and Information Engineering,Xi’an Jiaotong University 710049, P. | 18 | Pearling and helical nanostructures of model protocell membranes显示文摘The diversity of protocell membrane structures is crucial for the regulation of cell activities and indispensable to the origin of life.Prior to the evolution of complex cellular machinery, spontaneous protocell membrane evolution results from the intrinsic physicochemical properties of simple molecules under specific environmental conditions. Here,we report the evolution of the morphology of cell-sized model protocell membranes from giant vesicles to pearling and helical nanostructures, resembling morphologies of eukaryocytes, nostoc, and spirilla. This evolution occurs in a single binary aqueous system composed of an achiral single-chain amphiphile and a biogenic polyamine(spermidine or spermine)upon evaporating water, feeding amphiphiles,or increasing pH in response to various primitive fluctuating conditions. In contrast, nonbiogenic polyamines(triamine, triethylenetetramine, and hexamethyltriethylenetetramine)with slight differences in the number of methylene groups or protonated amine groups do not induce such a kind of evolution. The evolution of the shape transformation strongly relies on the balance between electrostatic attraction and hydrogen bonding, attributed to the odd/even effect of polyamines in the assembly.Strikingly, both pearling and helical structures emerge from multilamellar vesicles undergoing different processes, where the helix shows stronger permeability and encapsulation capability due to its multicompartmentalized structure. Thus, subtle adjustment of weak intramolecular interactions not only yields significant changes in the morphological evolution of protocell membranes but also brings new insights into the natural inevitability of biogenic small molecules. | Zhidi Chen Yaxun Fan Yao Chen Jeffrey Penfold Peixun Li Rongliang Wu Yilin Wang | 2022 | Nano Research2022,15,1: | 0

Implementation of OpenMP Parallelization of Rate-Dependent Ceramic Peridynamic Model显示文摘A rate-dependent peridynamic ceramic model, considering the brittle tensile response, compressive plastic softening and strain-rate dependence, can accurately represent the dynamic response and crack propagation of ceramic materials. However,it also considers the strain-rate dependence and damage accumulation caused by compressive plastic softening during the compression stage, requiring more computational resources for the bond force evaluation and damage evolution.Herein, the OpenMP parallel optimization of the rate-dependent peridynamic ceramicmodel is investigated. Also, themodules that compute the interactions betweenmaterial points and update damage index are vectorized and parallelized. Moreover, the numerical examples are carried out to simulate the dynamic response and fracture of the ceramic plate under normal impact.Furthermore, the speed-up ratio and computational efficiency by multi-threads are evaluated and discussed to demonstrate the reliability of parallelized programs. The results reveal that the totalwall clock time has been significantly reduced after optimization, showing the promise of parallelization process in terms of accuracy and stability. | Haoran Zhang Yaxun Liu Lisheng Liu Xin Lai Qiwen Liu Hai Mei | 2022 | Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences2022,,10: | 0
