1CFD–DEM–CVD multi-physical field coupling model for simulating particle coating process in spout bed显示文摘Particle coating is a very important step in many industrial production processes as the particle coating layers may fix surfaces with unique advantages. Given the limitation and disadvantages of the existing simulation methods, a coupled CFD–DEM–CVD multi-physical field model for particle-coating simulations has been established taking into account the velocity field, temperature field, concentration field, and deposition model. In this model, gas behavior and chemical reactions are simulated in the CFD frame based on the conservation laws of mass, momentum, and energy. The particle behavior is simulated in the DEM frame based on the gas–solid interphase force model and contact force model. The deposition behavior is simulated in the CVD frame based on the particle movement–adhesion–deposition model. The coupled model can be implemented in Fluent-EDEM software with their user definition function and application programming interface. The particle coating process involving the pyrolysis of acetylene was investigated, and the effect of bed temperature and inlet gas velocity on deposition rate and coating efficiency were investigated based on the proposed model with adjustable deposition coefficients. Both the average deposition layer mass and the average deposition layer thickness were found to be proportional to the elapsed time and increased at the rate of about 1.05 × 10^-2 mg/s and 3.45 × 10^-4 mm/s, respectively, setting the inlet gas velocity to 11 m/s and bed temperature to 1680 K. A higher temperature and larger inlet gas velocity lead to a larger deposition rate, but the coating efficiency decreases because of limits imposed by the chemical reaction. At a bed temperature of 1280 K, the average deposition rate is 7.40 × 10?3 mg/s when the inlet gas velocity is set to 11 m/s, which is about double the deposition rate when the inlet gas velocity is set as 5 m/s. 2青藏高原对东亚上空沙尘气溶胶贡献的数值模拟分析显示文摘青藏高原可能是东亚上空沙尘气溶胶的潜在来源,目前对于青藏高原上空沙尘气溶胶的逐月变化,以及青藏高原对东亚上空沙尘气溶胶的贡献,存在不确定认识.利用沙尘暴频次、遥感资料反演的气溶胶指数和模式模拟结果,分析了青藏高原上空沙尘气溶胶的逐月变化以及青藏高原对东亚上空沙尘气溶胶的贡献.结果表明,青藏高原近地面沙尘浓度从10月开始增加,在次年2~3月达到峰值,然后开始减少,青藏高原上空对流层高层沙尘浓度从1月开始增加,峰值位于5~6月,然后开始减少.青藏高原对东亚上空沙尘气溶胶的贡献主要集中在青藏高原上空,对中国东部上空贡献较少.青藏高原对青藏高原上空沙尘气溶胶的贡献随着高度升高在逐渐减少,年均贡献率在近地面为69%,在0.975Sigma高度上为40%,在0.85Sigma高度上为5%;不同高度上贡献的逐月变化存在差异,近地面上贡献率在10~5月较高(平均贡献率为80%),在6~9月较低(平均贡献率为45%),0.975Sigma高度上贡献率在11~4月较高(平均贡献率为72%),在5~10月较低(平均贡献率为9%),0.85Sigma高度上贡献率在2~3月偏高(平均贡献率约为21%),其他月份偏低(平均贡献率不足5%).青藏高原对中国东部上空沙尘气溶胶的贡献主要位于2~3月,贡献率约为1~10%.毛睿 龚道溢 YaPing SHAO 邬光剑 包景东 2012中国科学:地球科学2012,42,7:4
3All in one theranostic nanoplatform enables efficient anti-tumor peptide I delivery for triple-modal imaging guided cancer therapy显示文摘Developing a reliable system to efficiently and safely deliver peptide drugs into tumor tissues still remains a great challenge since the instability of peptide drugs and low ability to traverse the cell membrane. Herein, we constructed a multifunctional nanoplatform based on porous europium/gadolinium (Eu/Gd)-doped NaLa(MoO4)2 nanoparticles (NLM NPs) to deliver antitumor peptide of B-cell lymphoma/leukemia-2-like protein 11 (BIM) for cancer therapy. The porous NLM NPs exhibited inherent photoluminescent, magnetic and X-ray absorbable properties, which enable them for triple-modal bioimaging, including fluorescence, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and computed tomography (CT). This triple-modal bioimaging can contribute to monitoring NLM NPs biodistribution and guiding therapy in vitro and in vivo. Furthermore, the NLM NPs showed negligible cytotoxicity in vitro and tissue toxicity in vivo. Importantly, NLM NPs could load the antitumor peptide of BIM and efficiently improve the resistance of peptide drugs to proteolysis. The BIM peptide was efficiently delivered into the tumor cells by NLM NPs, which can inhibit the growth and promote the apoptosis of cancer cells in vitro, significantly inhibit the tumor growth in vivo. Notably, NLM-BIM theranostic nanoplatform exhibits low systemic toxicity and fewer side effects in vivo. 9Numerical analysis for contribution of the Tibetan Plateau to dust aerosols in the atmosphere over the East Asia显示文摘Although the Tibetan Plateau is widely thought as a potential dust source to the atmosphere over East Asia,little is known about the temporal changes of Tibetan dust activities and Tibetan dust source strength.In this study,we address these two issues by analyzing dust storm frequencies and aerosol index through remote sensing data and by means of numerical simulation.The findings indicate that monthly dust profiles over the Tibetan Plateau vary significantly with time.Near the surface,dust concentration increases from October,reaches its maximum in February March,and then decreases.In the middle to upper troposphere,dust concentration increases from January,reaches its maximum in May June,and decreases thereafter.Although Tibetan dust sources are important contributors to dust in the atmosphere over the Tibetan Plateau,their contribution to dust in the troposphere over eastern China is weaker.The contribution of Tibetan dust sources to dust in the atmosphere over the Tibetan Plateau decreases sharply with height,from 69% at the surface,40% in the lower troposphere,and 5% in the middle troposphere.Furthermore,the contribution shows seasonal changes,with dust sources at the surface at approximately 80% between November and May and 45% between June and September;in the middle and upper troposphere,dust sources are between 21% from February to March and less than 5% in the other months.Overall,dust aerosols originating from the Tibetan Plateau contribute to less than 10% of dust in East Asia.MAO Rui GONG DaoYi SHAO YaPing WU GuangJian BAO JingDong 2013Science China Earth Sciences2013,56,2:1

11Revisiting the Climatology of Atmospheric Blocking in the Northern Hemisphere显示文摘In addition to the occurrence of atmospheric blocking,the climatology of the characteristics of blocking events,including duration,intensity,and extension,in four seasons over the Northern Hemisphere was analyzed for the period 1950-2009.The seasonality and spatial variations of these characteristics were studied according to their longitudinal distributions.In general,there were sharp discrepancies in the blocking characteristics between winter and summer,and these differences were more prominent over the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans.The blocking not only occurred more frequently but also underwent stronger amplification in winter;likewise,the blocking occurred less frequently and underwent weaker amplification in summer.There are very strong interrelationships among different blocking characteristics,suggesting that they are supported by similar physical factors.In addition,the relationship between blocking over different regions and East Asian circulation was examined.Ural-Siberia is a major blocking formation region in all seasons that may exert a downstream impact on East Asia.The impact is generally weak in summer,which is due to its lower intensity and smaller duration.However,the extratropical circulation over East Asia in summer can be disturbed persistently by the frequent occurrence of blocking over the Asian continent or the Western Pacific.In particular,the blocking frequency over the Western Pacific significantly increased during the study period.This climatological information provides a background for studying the impact of blocking on East Asian circulation under both present and future climate conditions.Ho Nam CHEUNG 周文 Hing Yim MOK Man Chi WU Yaping SHAO 2013Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2013,30,2:1
