| 2 | Halloysite nanotubes loaded with nano silver for the sustained-release of antibacterial polymer nanocomposite scaffolds显示文摘It is challenging for antibacterial polymer scaffolds to achieve the drug sustained-release through directly coating or blending.In this work,halloysite nanotubes(HNTs),a natural aluminosilicate nanotube,were utilized as a nano container to load nano silver(Ag)into the lumen through vacuum negativepressure suction&injection and thermal decomposition of silver acetate.Then,the nano Ag loaded HNTs(HNTs@Ag)were introduced to poly-l-lactic acidide)(PLLA)scaffolds prepared by additive manufacturing for the sustained-release of Ag^+.Acting like a’shield’,the tube walls of HNTs not only retarded the erosion of external aqueous solution on internal nano Ag to generate Ag^+but also postponed the generated Ag^+to diffuse outward.The results indicated the PLLA-HNTs@Ag nanocomposite scaffolds achieved a sustained-release of Ag^+over 28 days without obvious initial burst release.Moreover,the scaffolds exhibited a long-lasting antibacterial property without compromising the cytocompatibility.Besides,the degradation properties,biomineralization ability and mechanical properties of the scaffolds were increased.This study suggests the potential application of inorganic nanotubes as drug carrier for the sustained-release of functional polymer nanocomposite scaffolds. | Wang Guo Wei Liu Li Xu Pei Feng Yanru Zhang Wenjing Yang Cijun Shuai | 2020 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2020,42,11: | 1 |
| 3 | Synthesis of Humin-based Carbon Quantum Dots and Luminescent Properties显示文摘The unique properties of carbon quantum dots(CQDs) make them promising materials in many fields. Herein, we present a facile method for the preparation of photo-luminescent CQDs using humins as the carbon precursor for the purpose of providing a high value-added solution for this 'biomass conversion process waste'. The structure of the CQDs was analyzed, and the effects of reaction temperature and time on the CQDs' fluorescence were investigated. The results showed that humins were effectively carbonized during the reaction. The fluorescence intensity of humin-based CQDs initially increased with reaction temperature and time, and subsequently decreased beyond 200℃ and 4 h. Polyaromatic structures and hydrophilic groups such as O—H, C—O, —COOH and C==O groups exist in the CQDs. The huminbased CQDs have the dimension of 3~7 nm with an average size of about 5.5 nm. | 4 | Genetic polymorphisms in genes regulating cell death and prognosis of patients with rectal cancer receiving postoperative chemoradiotherapy显示文摘Objective:The identification of biomarkers for predicting chemoradiotherapy efficacy is essential to optimize personalized treatment.This study determined the effects of genetic variations in genes involved in apoptosis,pyroptosis,and ferroptosis on the prognosis of patients with locally advanced rectal cancer receiving postoperative chemoradiotherapy(CRT).Methods:The Sequenom MassARRAY was used to detect 217 genetic variations in 40 genes from 300 patients with rectal cancer who received postoperative CRT.The associations between genetic variations and overall survival(OS)were evaluated using hazard ratios(HRs)and 95%confidence intervals(CIs)computed using a Cox proportional regression model.Functional experiments were performed to determine the functions of the arachidonate 5-lipoxygenase(ALOX5)gene and the ALOX5 rs702365 variant.Results:We detected 16 genetic polymorphisms in CASP3,CASP7,TRAILR2,GSDME,CASP4,HO-1,ALOX5,GPX4,and NRF2 that were significantly associated with OS in the additive model(P<0.05).There was a substantial cumulative effect of three genetic polymorphisms(CASP4 rs571407,ALOX5 rs2242332,and HO-1 rs17883419)on OS.Genetic variations in the CASP4 and ALOX5 gene haplotypes were associated with a higher OS.We demonstrated,for the first time,that rs702365[G]>[C]represses ALOX5 transcription and corollary experiments suggested that ALOX5 may promote colon cancer cell growth by mediating an inflammatory response.Conclusions:Polymorphisms in genes regulating cell death may play essential roles in the prognosis of patients with rectal cancer who are treated with postoperative CRT and may serve as potential genetic biomarkers for individualized treatment. | Hongxia Chen Luxi Yin Jie Yang Ningxin Ren Jinna Chen Qixuan Lu Ying Huang Yanru Feng Weihu Wang Shulian Wang Yueping Liu Yongwen Song Yexiong Li Jing Jin Wen Tan Dongxin Lin | 2023 | Cancer Biology & Medicine2023,20,4: | 0 |
| 5 | Effect of grain boundary segregation on aging resistance and mechanical properties of tetravalent element-doped 3Y-TZP ceramics for dental restoration显示文摘In the humid oral environment,3Y-TZP ceramics always suffer from low-temperature degradation(LTD)for a long time,which results in the degradation of mechanical properties and catastrophic failure.The low-temperature degradation(LTD)and mechanical properties of low-cost tetravalent(Ge^(4+),Ti^(4+))element-doped 3Y-TZP were investigated by analysing grain boundary segregation in samples with deferent contents.The results show that GeO_(2) is superior to TiO_(2) in limiting LTD but results in lower flexural strength and fracture toughness when the content is≥1.5 mol%.This dilemma can be improved by adding only 0.1%-0.5 wt%Al_(2)O_(3),and the flexural strength and fracture toughness of 0.25 wt% Al_(2)O_(3) zirconia are then increased to 898 MPa and 4.68 MPa·m^(1/2) compared with 1Ge-3Y,respectively.This work is expected to provide an effective reference for the development and application of budget dental materials. | Bin Deng Rongfang Zou Yang Huang Lu Feng Yanru Chen | 2023 | International Journal of Smart and Nano Materials2023,14,2: | 0 |
| 6 | Organophosphine ligand derived sandwich-structural electrocatalyst for oxygen evolution reaction显示文摘The synchronous construction of metal phosphate and phosphorus-doped carbon structures is of great significance to innovate the design,synthesis,and application of catalysts,as these phosphoruscontaining composite materials have shown a remarkable contribution to electrocatalysts.However,their preparation procedure generally involves using large amounts of excess phosphorus sources for phosphorization,which inevitably release poisonous PH_(3) or dangerous phosphorus vapor.Here,a strategy for in-situ formation of FePO_(4) embedded in P-doped carbon 2D nano film(FePO_(4)/PdC)is developed using a highly integrated precursor,which is a small molecular organophosphine ligand,1,1’bis(diphenylphosphine)ferrocene(DPPF).The multi-source precursor DPPF that contains Fe,P,and C is molecular-vapor-deposited on the nickel foam(NF)supported ZIF-67 nanosheets to obtain the composite catalyst,namely DPPF-500/ZIF-67/NF.FePO_(4)/PdC encapsulated the ZIF-67 derived Co/N-doped carbon matrix(Co NC)to form a sandwich structure FePO_(4)/PdC@CoNC.The constructed catalyst shows good performance for OER,requiring an overpotential of only 297 m V to deliver 600 m A/cm^(2) with a Tafel slope of 42.7 m V dec^(-1).DFT calculations demonstrate that the synergistic effects between the metal active center and P-doped carbon film reduce the energy barriers and improve electron transport.This method of constructing P-containing catalysts overcomes the demand for additional P sources to realize eco-friendly fabrication and yields a unique structure with good catalytic activity. | Zejun Sun Wenjuan Xu Liutao Guo Qiang Han Jianyi Gao Jiaping Wang Yanru Feng Chengrui Li Qionglin Liang Hong-bin Sun Yang Yang | 2022 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2022,31,7: | 0 |

| 8 | Untargeted and targeted mass spectrometry reveal the effects of theanine on the central and peripheral metabolomics of chronic unpredictable mild stress-induced depression in juvenile rats显示文摘L-theanine has been shown to have a therapeutic effect on depression.However,whether L-theanine has an excellent preventive effect on depression in children and adolescents and what its mechanism is have not been well explained.Given the complexity of the pathogenesis of depression,this study investigated the preventive effect and mechanism of L-theanine on depression in juvenile rats by combining serum and hippocampal metabolomic strategies.Behavioral tests,hippocampal tissue sections,and serum and hippocampal biochemical indexes were studied,and the results confirmed the preventive effect of Ltheanine.Untargeted reversed-phase liquid chromatography-quadrupole-time-of-flight mass spectrometry and targeted hydrophilic interaction liquid chromatography-triple quadrupole mass spectrometry were developed to analyze the metabolism changes in the serum and hippocampus to screen for potential biomarkers related to L-theanine treatment.The results suggested that 28 abnormal metabolites in the serum and hippocampus that were considered as potential biomarkers returned to nearnormal levels after L-theanine administration.These biomarkers were involved in various metabolic pathways,mainly including amino acid metabolism and lipid metabolism.The levels of amino acids and neurotransmitters in the phenylalanine,tryptophan,and glutamic acid pathways were significantly reduced after L-theanine administration compared with chronic unpredictable mild stress-induced rats.In summary,L-theanine had a significant preventive effect on depression and achieved its preventive results on depression by regulating various aspects of the body,such as amino acids,lipids,and inflammation.This research systematically analyzed the mechanism of L-theanine in preventing depression and laid the foundation for applying L-theanine to prevent depression in children and adolescents. | Yanru Zhu Feng Wang Jiatong Han Yunli Zhao Miao Yu Mingyan Ma Zhiguo Yu | 2023 | Journal of Pharmaceutical Analysis2023,13,1: | 0 |

| 10 | Feasibility of condensate water recycle of split air handling unit in Chinese University buildings显示文摘Recycling the condensate water of the air conditioner could be explored as an alternative water source to con-tribute to building the green campus.This paper explored the condensate water production through actual mea-surement based on a split air handling unit(SAHU)in a university building.Then,the statistical analysis was used to analyze the recycling feasibility and the impact factors of the condensate water production in 31 Chinese provincial capital cities to obtain the recycling potential map of the condensate water generated from a SAHU.Results showed that:(1)In the measurement,the amount of condensate water produced by a single split air conditioner was 1.6 kg from 12:40 to 13:40.Therefore,the daily output of condensate water of the air condi-tioner with the university operation schedule could reach 52.99 kg during the main air-conditioning season.(2)Among the 31 provincial capital cities in China,the largest condensate water outputs could be found in the Hot Summer and Warm Winter zone and the Hot Summer and Cold Winter zone,with an average monthly output of 1600 kg and 1100 kg,respectively.(3)Regression analysis showed that the dry-bulb temperature and dew point temperature of outdoor air had the highest positive and significant influence on condensate water production.The objective of this study is to provide theoretical guidance for the design and energy conservation evaluation of the feasibility of SAHU condensate water recycling in universities. | Xiang Deng Yiyun Shen Senwang Yang Jingyang Feng Si Wang Dongyue Li Yanru Li | 2024 | Energy and Built Environment2024,5,2: | 0 |
