1Numerical simulation for the coupling effect of local atmospheric circulations over the area of Beijing,Tianjin and Hebei Province显示文摘Using the model system MM5.V3 and multi-layer grid nesting technique, we have done a multi-scale numerical simulation over the area of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei Province to analyze the temperature and wind field there and study its local circulations. The results show a coupling effect of Urban Heat Island Circulation (UHIC), Mountain Valley Breeze (MVB) and Sea Land Breeze (SLB) occurs in this area when the synoptic system is weak. The SLB can penetrate deep into the mainland for about 200 km when it is blooming. MVB can extend to south and cover almost the whole plain area in Beijing. Both MVB and SLB are diurnal periodical; meanwhile the phase of MVB drops behind that of SLB for about six hours. As a local circulation, the UHIC weakens the two circulations above, and it also has a diurnal period. As a result, the coupling effect of circulations reveals not only different features in spring-summer period and autumn-winter period in a year but also the difference between early morn- ing to noonday and afternoon to night in a day. We noted the diffusion of contamination over the area around Beijing, and found the steady presence of a transport routine of contamination over North-China throughout the year caused by the Coupling Effect mentioned above. And the integrated processor is designed,supporting a variety of communication interface standards. Flexible configuration,connection and expansion betw een conventional and new type of meteorological observation equipment are supported. It is capable for online calibration and maintenance of observation equipment. 5Characteristics of Boundary Layer Structure during a Persistent Haze Event in the Central Liaoning City Cluster, Northeast China显示文摘The characteristics of boundary layer structure during a persistent regional haze event over the central Liaoning city cluster of Northeast China from 16 to 21 December 2016 were investigated based on the measurements of particulate matter(PM) concentration and the meteorological data within the atmospheric boundary layer(ABL). During the observational period, the maximum hourly mean PM_(2.5) and PM10 concentrations in Shenyang, Anshan, Fushun, and Benxi ranged from 276 to 355 μg m–3 and from 378 to 442 μg m–3, respectively, and the lowest hourly mean atmospheric visibility(VIS) in different cities ranged from 0.14 to 0.64 km. The central Liaoning city cluster was located in the front of a slowly moving high pressure and was mainly controlled by southerly winds. Wind speed(WS) within the ABL(< 2 km) decreased significantly and WS at 10-m height mostly remained below 2 m s–1 during the hazy episodes, which was favorable for the accumulation of air pollutants. A potential temperature inversion layer existed throughout the entire ABL during the earlier hazy episode [from 0500 Local Time(LT) 18 December to 1100 LT 19 December], and then a potential temperature inversion layer developed with the bottom gradually decreased from 900 m to 300 m. Such a stable atmospheric stratification further weakened pollutant dispersion. The atmospheric boundary layer height(ABLH) estimated based on potential temperature profiles was mostly lower than 400 m and varied oppositely with PM_(2.5) in Shenyang. 6Spatiotemporal Variations and Regional Transport of Air Pollutants in Two Urban Agglomerations in Northeast China Plain显示文摘Characteristics of air pollution in Northeast China(NEC) received less research attention in the past comparing to other heavily polluted regions in China.Spatiotemporal variations of six criteria air pollutants(PM10, PM2.5, SO2, NO2, O3 and CO) in Central Liaoning Urban Agglomeration(CLUA) and Harbin-Changchun Urban Agglomeration(HCUA) in NEC Plain were analyzed in this study based on three-year hourly observations of air pollutants and meteorological variables from 2015 to 2017.The results indicated that the annual mean concentrations of air pollutants are generally higher in the middle and southern regions in NEC Plain and lower in the northern region.Megacities such as Shenyang, Harbin and Changchun experience severe air pollution, with a three-year averaged air quality index(AQI) larger than 80, far exceeding the daily AQI standard at the first-level of 50 in China.The annual mean PM and SO2 concentrations decrease most significantly in NEC urban agglomerations from 2015 to 2017, followed by CO and NO2, while O3 shows a slight increasing trend.All the six pollutants exhibit obvious seasonal and diurnal variations, and these variations are dictated by local emission and meteorological conditions.PM2.5 and O3 concentrations in NEC urban agglomerations strongly depend on wind conditions.High O3 concentrations at different cities usually occur in presence of strong winds but are independent on wind direction(WD), while high PM2.5 is usually accompanied by weak winds and poor dispersion condition, and sometimes also occur when the northerly or southerly winds are strong.Regional transport of air pollutants between NEC urban agglomerations is common.A severe haze event on November 1–4, 2017 is examined to demonstrate the role of regional transport on pollution.LI Xiaolan HU Xiaoming SHI Shuaiyi SHEN Lidu LUAN Lan MA Yanjun 2019Chinese Geographical Science2019,29,6:9
7Toripalimab plus chemotherapy as second-line treatment in previously EGFR-TKI treated patients with EGFR-mutant-advanced NSCLC:a multicenter phase-II trial显示文摘This multicenter phase-II trial aimed to investigate the efficacy,safety,and predictive biomarkers of toripalimab plus chemotherapy as second-line treatment in patients with EGFR-mutant-advanced NSCLC.Patients who failed from first-line EGFR-TKIs and did not harbor T790M mutation were enrolled.Toripalimab plus carboplatin and pemetrexed were administrated every three weeks for up to six cycles,followed by the maintenance of toripalimab and pemetrexed.The primary endpoint was objective-response rate(ORR).Integrated biomarker analysis of PD-L1 expression,tumor mutational burden(TMB),CD8+tumor-infiltrating lymphocyte(TIL)density,whole-exome,and transcriptome sequencing on tumor biopsies were also conducted.Forty patients were enrolled with an overall ORR of 50.0%and disease-control rate(DCR)of 87.5%.The median progression free survival(PFS)and overall survival were 7.0 and 23.5 months,respectively.The most common treatment-related adverse effects were leukopenia,neutropenia,anemia,ALT/AST elevation,and nausea.Biomarker analysis showed that none of PD-L1 expression,TMB level,and CD8+TIL density could serve as a predictive biomarker.Integrated analysis of whole-exome and transcriptome sequencing data revealed that patients with DSPP mutation had a decreased M2 macrophage infiltration and associated with longer PFS than those of wild type.Toripalimab plus chemotherapy showed a promising anti-tumor activity with acceptable safety profiles as the second-line setting in patients with EGFR-mutant NSCLC.DSPP mutation might serve as a potential biomarker for this combination.A phase-III trial to compare toripalimab versus placebo in combination with chemotherapy in this setting is ongoing(NCT03924050).Tao Jiang Pingyang Wang Jie Zhang Yanqiu Zhao Jianying Zhou Yun Fan Yongqian Shu Xiaoqing Liu Helong Zhang Jianxing He Guanghui Gao Xiaoqian Mu Zhang Bao Yanjun Xu Renhua Guo Hong Wang Lin Deng Ningqiang Ma Yalei Zhang Hui Feng Sheng Yao Jiarui Wu Luonan Chen Caicun Zhou Shengxiang Ren 2021Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2021,6,11:8

9Comparison of Two Air Pollution Episodes over Northeast China in Winter 2016/17 Using Ground-Based Lidar显示文摘This study analyzes and compares aerosol properties and meteorological conditions during two air pollution episodes in 19–22(E1) and 25–26(E2) December 2016 in Northeast China. The visibility, particulate matter(PM) mass concentration, and surface meteorological observations were examined, together with the planetary boundary layer(PBL) properties and vertical profiles of aerosol extinction coefficient and volume depolarization ratio that were measured by a ground-based lidar in Shenyang of Liaoning Province, China during December 2016–January 2017.Results suggest that the low PBL height led to poor pollution dilution in E1, while the high PBL accompanied by low visibility in E2 might have been due to cross-regional and vertical air transmission. The PM mass concentration decreased as the PBL height increased in E1 while these two variables were positively correlated in E2. The enhanced winds in E2 diffused the pollutants and contributed largely to the aerosol transport. Strong temperature inversion in E1 resulted in increased PM2.5 and PM10 concentrations, and the winds in E2 favoured the southwesterly transport of aerosols from the North China Plain into the region surrounding Shenyang. The large extinction coefficient was partially attributed to the local pollution under the low PBL with high ground-surface PM mass concentrations in E1,whereas the cross-regional transport of aerosols within a high PBL and the low PM mass concentration near the ground in E2 were associated with severe aerosol extinction at high altitudes. 10Preparation of cross-linked enzyme aggregates of nitrile hydratase ES-NHT-118 from E.coli by macromolecular cross-linking agent显示文摘Cross-linked enzyme aggregates(CLEAs) of nitrile hydratase(NHase) ES-NHT-118 from Escherichia coli were prepared by using ammonium sulfate as precipitating agent followed by cross-linking with dextran polyaldehyde for the first time. In this process, egg white was added as protein feeder for facilitating the formation of CLEAs. The optimal conditions of the immobilization process were determined. Michaelis constants(Km) of free NHase and NHase CLEAs were also determined. The NHase CLEAs exhibited increased stability at varied pH and temperature conditions compared to its free counterpart. 11Exploring Seasonal and Circadian Rhythms in Structural Traits of Field Maize from LiDAR Time Series显示文摘Plant growth rhythm in structural traits is important for better understanding plant response to the ever-changing environment.Terrestrial laser scanning(TLS)is a well-suited tool to study structural rhythm under field conditions.Recent studies have used TLS to describe the structural rhythm of trees,but no consistent patterns have been drawn.Meanwhile,whether TLS can capture structural rhythm in crops is unclear.Here,we aim to explore the seasonal and circadian rhythms in maize structural traits at both the plant and leaf levels from time-series TLS.The seasonal rhythm was studied using TLS data collected at four key growth periods,including jointing,bell-mouthed,heading,and maturity periods.Circadian rhythms were explored by using TLS data acquired around every 2 hours in a whole day under standard and cold stress conditions.Results showed that TLS can quantify the seasonal and circadian rhythm in structural traits at both plant and leaf levels.(1)Leaf inclination angle decreased significantly between the jointing stage and bell-mouthed stage.Leaf azimuth was stable after the jointing stage.(2)Some individual-level structural rhythms(e.g.,azimuth and projected leaf area/PLA)were consistent with leaf-level structural rhythms.(3)The circadian rhythms of some traits(e.g.,PLA)were not consistent under standard and cold stress conditions.(4)Environmental factors showed better correlations with leaf traits under cold stress than standard conditions.Temperature was the most important factor that significantly correlated with all leaf traits except leaf azimuth.This study highlights the potential of time-series TLS in studying outdoor agricultural chronobiology.Shichao Jin Yanjun Su Yongguang Zhang Shilin Song Qing Li Zhonghua Liu Qin Ma Yan Ge LingLi Liu Yanfeng Ding Frédéric Baret Qinghua Guo 2021Plant Phenomics2021,3,1:5
12Functional assembly of root-associated microbial consortia improves nutrient efficiency and yield in soybean显示文摘Root-associated microbes are critical for plant growth and nutrient acquisition. However, scant information exists on optimizing communities of beneficial root-associated microbes or the mechanisms underlying their interactions with host plants. In this report, we demonstrate that rootassociated microbes are critical influencers of host plant growth and nutrient acquisition. Three synthetic communities(SynComs) were constructed based on functional screening of 1,893 microbial strains isolated from root-associated compartments of soybean plants. Functional assemblage of SynComs promoted significant plant growth and nutrient acquisition under both N/P nutrient deficiency and sufficiency conditions.Field trials further revealed that application of SynComs stably and significantly promoted plant growth, facilitated N and P acquisition, and subsequently increased soybean yield. Among the tested communities, SynCom1 exhibited the greatest promotion effect, with yield increases of up to 36.1% observed in two field sites. Further RNA-seq implied that SynCom application systemically regulates N and P signaling networks at the transcriptional level, which leads to increased representation of important growth pathways, especially those related to auxin responses. 13Acupoint combinations used for treatment of Alzheimer's disease: A data mining analysis显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To identify the acupoint combinations used in the treatment of Alzheimer's disease(AD).METHODS: The clinical literature regarding acupuncture and moxibustion for AD was searched and collected from databases including Chinese Biomedical Medicine, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, Wanfang Database and PubMed. The database of acupuncture and moxibustion prescriptions for AD was established by using Excel software so as to conduct the descriptive analysis, association analysis on the data.RESULTS: Baihui(GV 20), Sishencong(EX-HN 1),Shenmen(HT 7), Zusanli(ST 36), Neiguan(PC 6),Fengchi(GB 20), Taixi(KI 3), Dazhui(GV 14), Shenshu(BL 23), Sanyinjiao(SP 6), Shenting(GV 24), Fenglong(ST 40), Xuanzhong(GB 39), Shuigou(GV 26)and Taichong(LR 3) were of higher frequency in the treatment of AD with acupnucture and moxibustion. Most acupoints were selected from the Governor Vessel. The commonly used acupoints were located on the head, face, neck and lower limbs. The combination of the local acupoints with the distal ones was predominated. The crossing points among the specific points presented the advantage in the treatment. 14Nonfatal Child Pedestrian Injury in Two Urban Cities of Guangdong Province,China:Results from a Cross-sectional Survey显示文摘Objective To describe the epidemiological characteristics of nonfatal child pedestrian injuries and provide information to help understand an important public-health problem.Methods This was a school-based,cross-sectional questionnaire survey.The sample (42 750 children) was obtained from two urban cities of Guangdong Province,China,using multi-stage randomized sampling.Information was collected by the respondents self-reporting in the classroom.Results The incidence rate of nonfatal child pedestrian injuries in the cities was 2.0%.Boys had a higher incidence rate (2.6%) than girls (1.4%).Compared to other children,those aged 10 years are at the highest risk.The primary places of occurrence were sidewalks,residential roads,and crosswalks.High-risk behavior of the children immediately prior to injury included mid-block crossings,playing on roads,and crossing on red lights.The major vehicles that caused pedestrian injuries were bicycles,car or vans,and motorcycles.Bruises,fractures,and injuries to the internal organs were the top three types of injuries.Almost 40% of victims were hospitalized,and nearly 30% of the victims suffered long-term disabilities.Conclusion This study shows that nonfatal child pedestrian injuries are a very serious public-health problem in the urban cities of Guangdong.Based on the epidemiological characteristics,prevention strategies and further research should be carried out to reduce the occurrence of injuries.MA WenJun NIE ShaoPing XU HaoFeng XU YanJun XIE HuiYan ZHANG YuRun 2011Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2011,24,4:4
15A comparison study of the simulation accuracy between WRF and MM5 in simulating local atmospheric circulations over Greater Beijing显示文摘Several multi-scale numerical simulation experiments were carried out using the mesoscale modeling systems MM5V3.7 and WRFV2.2 for Greater Beijing to estimate the accuracy of WRF and MM5 in simulating the characteristics and variations of mesoscale local circulation in the atmospheric boundary layer of this area. We simulated the horizontal distribution and diurnal variations of temperature and wind fields near the ground and compared them with Automatic Weather System (AWS) data collected from 19 AWS stations in Beijing. Correlation and error analyses were also made. The modeling and statistical results showed that both WRF and MM5 model the temperature field near the ground significantly better than they model the wind field. The temperature field simulated by MM5 is more coincident than that of WRF with the AWS observation records, while WRF does better than MM5 in simulating the wind field, especially under the condition of gusty wind. Neither WRF nor MM5 can capture the fine structure of urban architectural complexity, which is the main error in the wind field simulation. Both models underestimate the land surface temperature at night and overestimate the temperature during the day. 16The Evening Complex and the Chromatin-Remodeling Factor PICKLE Coordinately Control Seed Dormancy by Directly Repressing DOG1 in Arabidopsis显示文摘Primary seed dormancy is acquired during seed development and maturation,which is important for plant fitness and survival.DELAY OF GERMINATION1(DOG1)plays a critical role in inducing seed dormancy.DOG1 expression increases rapidly during seed development,but the precise mechanism underlying this process remains elusive.In this study,we showed that mutants with a loss or reduced function of the chromatin-remodeling factor PICKLE(PKL)exhibit increased seed dormancy.PKL associates with DOG1 chromatin and inhibits its transcription.We found that PKL physically interacts with LUX ARRHYTHMO(LUX),a member of the evening complex(EC)of the circadian clock.Furthermore,LUX directly binds to a specific coding sequence of DOG1,and DOG1 acts genetically downstream of PKL and LUX.Mutations in either LUX or EARLY FLOWERING3(ELF3)encoding another member of the EC led to increased DOG1 expression and enhanced seed dormancy.Surprisingly,these phenotypes were abolished when the parent plants were grown under continuous light.In addition,we observed that loss of function of either PKL or LUX decreased H3K27me3 levels at the DOG1 locus.Taken together,our study reveals a regulatory mechanism in which EC proteins coordinate with PKL to transmit circadian signals for directly regulating DOG1 expression and seed dormancy during seed development.Ping Zha Shuangrong Liu Yang Li Tingting Ma Liwen Yang Yanjun Jing Rongcheng Lin 2020Plant Communications2020,1,2:3
17Study on the Coincident-Loop Transient Electromagnetic Method in Seafloor Exploration——Taking Jiaodong Polymetallic Mine as a Model显示文摘The transient electromagnetic(TEM)method becomes more urgent than ever for marine ex-ploration due to abundant resource reserves and the increasing undersea engineering construction activities,especially in the offshore exploration of mineral deposits such as Sanshandao gold mine.However,the re-search and application of TEM method in marine environment are still challenged by many problems.Such contradiction motivates our study on the coincident-loop TEM in seafloor exploration.The TEM response of coincident loops is firstly derived in the integral form,based on the potential functions in Helmholtz equ-ations for a magnetic source locating in the whole-space layered model.The frequency-domain vertical magnetic field is described as the Hankel integral with double first-order Bessel functions of first kind.Se-condly,the time-domain induced voltage is obtained by transforming the frequency-domain response through the cosine transform and then taking the derivative of time.To simultaneously solve the Hankel transform and the cosine transform,a novel algorithm is introduced by adapting the fixed-point quadra-ture and extrapolation via the Shanks transformation.Finally,a typical conductivity model for marine po-lymetallic deposit is designed to investigate the characteristic of TEM response under various conditions.Numerical results demonstrate that existence of conductive seawater causes the TEM response to increase significantly and decay slower.The air-sea reflected electromagnetic waves lead to a significantly large fake negative response(NR)in shallower seawater with depth less than 300 m.Increase in the height of loops will weaken and delay the anomaly response and shorten the observation time-window.The height of configu-ration should be no more than 100 m for shallower targets and 50 m for deeper targets,respectively.The observation time-window should cover 10-1000 ms.Increase in the radius of loops only enhances the TEM response proportionally but hardly improves the relative anomaly.The vertical resolution on the low-resistivity target approximates 20 m for the configuration considered in the study.Decreases in D.C.resistivity and chargeability cause the positive response(PR)to increase significantly and decay more ra-pidly.Meanwhile,the NR is advanced and enlarged significantly and decays slower compared with the PR.The influence of time constant is not monotony and there exists an optimal value for producing the maxi-mum NR.As the frequency parameter increases,the PR is caused to decay more rapidly without magni-tude change and the NR is advanced and decays more rapidly with significant increase in magnitude.The influence of frequency parameter is more pronounced than that of time constant.Yixing Ma Junhua Hu Yanjun Chang Zujian Liu 2021Journal of Earth Science2021,32,1:3

19Atmospheric extinction properties in Shenyang,China显示文摘Atmospheric visibility impairment due to human activities is becoming increasingly significant in metropolitan Shenyang,China.In this study,hourly data of relevant factors throughout the year 2010 in Shenyang were used to evaluate the local atmospheric extinction properties.The results show that the average coefficient of total extinction and aerosol single-scattering albedo in 2010 were 622.72 Mm^(-1)and 0.87,respectively,values that are characteristic of the 'municipal pollution type'.Visibility is most impaired during winter and especially in January.The coefficient of total extinction exhibits a single daily cycle with a maximum at 5-6 am and a minimum at 3 pm.The mean extinction contributions of the constituents,from high to low,were particle scattering(87.49%),particle absorption,gas absorption,and gas scattering.The extinction contribution of gas molecules was little more than 4.5%,far smaller than that of particles.Scattering by particles was the main contributor to extinction,especially in the morning and around midnight.Ningwei Liu Yanjun Ma Jianzhong Ma Yangfeng Wang Suying Yang Liguang Li 2015Particuology2015,13,1:3
20Towards a better recording of microtubule cytoskeletal spatial organization and dynamics in plant cells显示文摘Numerous fluorescent marker lines are currently available to visualize microtubule(MT)architecture and dynamics in living plant cells, such as markers expressing p35S::GFP-MBD or p35S::GFP-TUB6.However, these MT marker lines display obvious defects that affect plant growth or produce unstable fluorescent signals. Here, a series of new marker lines were developed, including the pTUB6::VisGreen-TUB6-expressing line in which TUB6 is under the control of its endogenous regulatory elements and e GFP is replaced with VisGreen, a brighter fluorescent protein.
