1Investigation of the consistency of atmospheric CO_2 retrievals from different space-based sensors: Intercomparison and spatiotemporal analysis显示文摘In recent years,global warming caused by emission of CO2has attracted considerable attention from the public.Although the measurements from AIRS,GOSAT,SCIAMACHY and IASI have been frequently used to derive atmospheric CO2concentration,comprehensive quantification of the differences among these CO2products is still not fully investigated yet.In this paper,a series of strategies have been proposed to allow the CO2products from different instruments to be physically inter-comparable.Based on this,these CO2products are inter-compared in terms of magnitude and their spatiotemporal distributions.The results reveal that the correlations among these CO2products are relatively weak,and some discrepancies are detected in terms of the CO2spatiotemporal characteristics,demonstrating more efforts should be made in the future to improve the retrievals of CO2.Their spatial coverage differences reflected in this study imply the great necessity to generate consistent products with improved spatial and temporal continuities by combining these CO2measurements.WANG TianXing SHI JianCheng JING YingYing XIE YanHui 2013Chinese Science Bulletin2013,58,33:4
2Epidemiological and Virological Surveillance of Seasonal Influenza Viruses—China,2020–2021显示文摘Introduction:During the coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)pandemic,the circulation of seasonal influenza virus declined globally and remained below previous seasonal levels.We analyzed the results of the epidemiology,antigenic,and genetic characteristics,and antiviral susceptibilities of seasonal influenza viruses isolated from the mainland of China during October 5,2020 through September 5,2021,to better assess the risk of influenza during subsequent influenza season in 2021–2022.Methods:Positive rates of influenza virus detection during this period were based on real-time polymerase chain reaction(PCR)detection by the Chinese National Influenza Surveillance Network laboratories,and isolated viruses from influenza positive samples were submitted to the Chinese National Influenza Center.Antigenic analyses for influenza viruses were conducted using the hemagglutination inhibition assay.Next-generation sequencing was used for genetic analyses.Viruses were tested for resistance to antiviral medications using a phenotypic assay and next-generation sequencing.Results:In southern China,the influenza positivity rate was elevated especially after March 2021 and was higher than the same period the previous year with the COVID-19 pandemic.In northern China,influenza positive rate peaked at Week 18 in 2021 and has declined since then.Nearly all isolated viruses were B/Victoria lineage viruses during the study period,and 37.3%of these viruses are antigenically similar to the reference viruses representing the vaccine components for the 2020–2021 and 2021–2022 Northern Hemisphere influenza season.All seasonal influenza viruses were susceptible to neuraminidase inhibitors and endonuclease inhibitors.Conclusions:Influenza activity has gradually increased in the mainland of China in 2021,although the intensity of activity is still lower than before the COVID-19 pandemic.The diversity of circulating influenza types/subtypes decreased,with the vast majority being B/Victoria lineage viruses.The surveillance data from this study suggest that we should strengthen influenza surveillance during the upcoming traditional influenza season.It also provided evidence for vaccine recommendations and prevention and control of influenza and clinical use of antiviral drugs.Weijuan Huang Xiyan Li Minju Tan Yanhui Cheng Tao Chen Hejiang Wei Xiaoxu Zeng Yiran Xie Jia Liu Ning Xiao Lei Yang Dayan Wang 2021China CDC weekly2021,3,44:4

4Formation and crystallization behavior of Fe-based amorphous precursors with pre-existingα-Fe nanoparticles-Structure and magnetic properties of high-Cu-content Fe-Si-B-Cu-Nb nanocrystalline alloys显示文摘Structure,crystallization behavior,and magnetic properties of as-quenched and annealed Fe_(81.3)Si_(4)O_(13)Cu_(1.7)(Cu1.7)alloy ribbons and effects of Nb alloying have been studied.Three-dimensional atom probe and transmission electron microscopy analyses reveal that high-number-density Cu-clusters and Pre-existing Nano-sized a-Fe Particles(PN-a-Fe)are coexistence in the melt-spun Cu1.7 amorphous matrix,and the PN-α-Fe form by manners of one-direction adjoining and enveloping the Cu-clusters.Two-step crystallization behavior associated with growth of the PN-a-Fe and subsequent nucleation and growth of newly-formedα-Fe is found in the primary crystallization stage of the Cu1.7 alloy.The number densities of the Cu-clusters and PN-a-Fe in melt-spun Fe8_(1.3-x)Si_(4)B_(13)Cu_(1.7)Nb_(x)alloys are gradually reduced with enriching of Nb,and a fully amorphous structure forms at 4 at.%Nb,although smaller Cu-clusters still exist.After annealing,2 at.%Nb coarsens the average size(D_(α-F)e)of theα-Fe grains from 14.0 nm of the Nb-free alloy to 21.6 nm,and 4 at.%Nb refines the D_(α-Fe)to 8.9 nm.The mechanisms of theα-Fe nucleation and growth during quenching and annealing for the alloys with large quantities of PN-α-Fe as well as after Nb alloying have been discussed,and an annealing-induced oc-Fe growth mechanism in term of the barrier co-contributed by competitive growth among the PN-a-Fe and diffusion-suppression effect of Nb atoms has been proposed.A coercivity(HC)αDα-Fe^(3)correlation has been found for the nanocrystalline alloys,and the permeability is inverse with the H_(C).Yanhui Li Xingjie Jia Wei Zhang Yan Zhang Guoqiang Xie Zhiyong Qiu Junhua Luan Zengbao Jiao 2021Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,6:3
5Characterization of Influenza Viruses-China, 2019−2020显示文摘Introduction:Influenza surveillance is necessary for detection of emerging variants of influenza viruses and determining their epidemiological and clinical significance.Vaccination and antiviral drugs remain the most useful ways to protect against seasonal influenza and its potentially severe consequences.This study describes the epidemiology,antigenic and genetic characteristics,and antiviral susceptibilities of influenza viruses isolated from the mainland of China during the April 1,2019 through October 4,2020.Methods:All viruses analyzed were isolated and submitted by Chinese National Influenza Surveillance Network laboratories.The Chinese National Influenza Center performed antigenic analysis,sequencing,and antiviral resistance testing after propagation of the viruses.Antigenic characterizations were determined by hemagglutinin inhibition assay;next-generation sequencing was used for genetic analyses;phenotypic assay and next-generation sequencing were used for determining antiviral resistance.Results:The influenza positivity rate declined significantly starting in late January 2020 and has remained low.There was no summer influenza peak season in south China.Influenza A(H3N2)and B/Victoria lineage viruses were the dominant subtype/lineage during April 1,2019 through October 4,2020.The majority of influenza viruses were antigenically and genetically similar to reference viruses representing components of vaccines for the 2020–2021 northern hemisphere influenza season.Nearly all seasonal influenza viruses were susceptible to oseltamivir and zanamivir.Conclusions and Implications for Public Health Practice:Since the outbreak of COVID-19,the influenza positivity rate declined with implementation of strong COVID-19 control measures.The majority of circulating viruses are well matched with the current 2020–2021 northern hemisphere influenza vaccine viruses.Circulating seasonal influenza viruses were sensitive to neuraminidase inhibitors and Baloxavir marboxil.This study provided evidence for World Health Organization(WHO)recommendations for vaccine viruses,for prevention and control of influenza,and for clinical use of antiviral medications.Weijuan Huang Yanhui Cheng Tao Chen Xiyan Li Minju Tan Hejiang Wei Xiaoxu Zeng Yiran Xie Jia Liu Ning Xiao Lei Yang Dayan Wang 2020China CDC weekly2020,2,44:2
6State and tendency: an empirical study of deep learning question&answer topics on Stack Overflow显示文摘Deep learning has developed rapidly in recent years, attracting the attention of numerous researchers. Since a wide range of topics are covered in this field, we are wondering what topics researchers have concerned about. However, after investigation, we find that very few researchers have paid attention to this demand. In this paper, we conduct a large-scale study to analyze the questions faced by deep learning developers. We use Stack Overflow, one of the largest question&answer sites, as our data source, and extract32969 posts about deep learning as our studied dataset. After filtering, augmenting and pre-processing the post datasets from Stack Overflow, we use the latent Dirichlet allocation(LDA) topic model to summarize30 topics based on their text content. In addition, we measure the difficulty and popularity of each topic,compare the different issues faced by different deep learning frameworks, and analyze the development trend of each topic. Our main results are as follows:(1) developers ask a broad spectrum of questions about deep-learning, ranging from Data Shape to Object Detection;(2) Gradient Propagation is the most popular among all the topics and(3) Object Detection is the most difficult;(4) issues of Package Installation, Code Understanding and Method Introduction are common in the current different deep learning frameworks;(5) there are three trends in these topics, e.g., a significant rising trend is found in the number of discussion on Data Shape. 7Argonaute protein as a linker to command center of physiological processes显示文摘MicroRNAs (miRNAs) post-transcriptionally regulate gene expression by binding to target mRNAs with perfect or imperfect complementarity, recruiting an Argonaute (AGO) protein complex that usually results in degradation or translational repression of the target mRNA. AGO proteins function as the Slicer enzyme in miRNA and small interfering RNA (siRNA) pathways involved in human physiological and pathophysiological processes, such as antiviral responses and disease formation. Although the past decade has witnessed rapid advancement in studies of AGO protein functions, to further elucidate the molecular mechanism of AGO proteins in cellular function and biochemical process is really a challenging area for researchers. In order to understand the molecular causes underlying the pathological processes, we mainly focus on five fundamental problems of AGO proteins, including evolution, functional domain, subcellular location, post-translational modification and protein-protein interactions. 9The changing process and trend of ground temperature around tower foundations of Qinghai-Tibet Power Transmission line显示文摘After the construction of Qinghai-Tibet Highway and Railway, the Qinghai-Tibet Power Transmission(QTPT) line is another major permafrost engineering project with new types of engineering structures. The changing process and trend of ground temperature around tower foundations are crucial for the stability of QTPT. We analyzed the change characteristics and tendencies of the ground temperature based on field monitoring data from 2010 to 2014. The results reveal that soil around the tower foundations froze and connected with the artificial permafrost induced during the construction of footings after the first freezing period, and the soil below the original permafrost table kept freezing in subsequent thawing periods. The ground temperature lowered to that of natural fields, fast or slowly for tower foundations with thermosyphons,while for tower foundations without thermosyphons, the increase in ground temperature resulted in higher temperature than that of natural fields. Also, the permafrost temperature and ice content are significant factors that influence the ground temperature around tower foundations. Specifically, the ground temperature around tower foundations in warm and ice-rich permafrost regions decreased slowly, while that in cold and ice poor permafrost regions cooled faster. Moreover, foundations types impacted the ground temperature, which consisted of different technical processes during construction and variant of tower footing structures. 14Biased heteroplasmy within the mitogenomic sequences of Gigantometra gigas revealed by sanger and high-throughput methods显示文摘Few studies have explored the differences between Sanger and HTS methods in the results of mitogenome sequencing. We used a single individual of insect to study the differences between the sequences given by Sanger and PCR-free HTS methods. Here we provided evidence for biased results of sequencing due to different methods in the mitochondrial genes of atp6, atp8, cox1, cox2, cox3, Cytb, nad2, nad3, nad4, nad5, rrn S, rrnL, trnH, trn I, and control region at various degrees. Especially, in cox1, the differently sequenced nucleotides account for 2.6% of the complete length. Furthermore, the highest value of the intraspecific genetic distance based on K2 P accounts for 2.5% using a barcode fragment size of cox1(651 bp, Sanger), while the maximum distance of the corresponding cox1 fragment obtained by the two sequencing methods was 5.0%. We revealed that the methods of Sanger and HTS may give different sequencing results of mitochondrial genes, which may reflect the heteroplasmy of mitogenomes within an insect individual. 17Hydroxylated metal–organic-layer nanocages anchoring single atomic cobalt sites for robust photocatalytic CO_(2) reduction显示文摘Assembly of two-dimensional(2D)metal–organic layers(MOLs)based on the hard and soft acid–base theorem represents an exquisite strategy for the construction of photocatalytic platforms in virtue of the highly exposed active sites,much improved mass transport,and greatly elevated stability.Herein,nanocages composed of MOLs are produced for the first time through a cosolvent approach utilizing zirconium-based UiO-66-(OH)2 as the structural precursor.To endow the catalytic activity for CO_(2) conversion,single atomic Co^(2+)sites are appended to the Zr-oxo nodes of the MOL cages,demonstrating a remarkable CO yield of 7.74 mmol·g^(-1)·h^(-1) and operational stability of 97.1%product retention after five repeated cycles.Such an outstanding photocatalytic performance is mainly attributed to the unique nanocage morphology comprising enormous 2D nanosheets for augmented Co^(2+)exposure and the abundant surface hydroxyl groups for local CO_(2) enrichment.This work underlines the tailoring of both metal–organic framework(MOF)morphology and functionality to boost the turnover rate of photocatalytic CO_(2) reduction reaction(CO_(2)RR).Weiyi Pan Zhihe Wei Yanhui Su Yuebin Lian Zhangyi Zheng Huihong Yuan Yongze Qin Xulan Xie Qianqian Bai Zhenyang Jiao Wei Hua Jinzhou Chen Wenjun Yang Zhao Deng Yang Peng 2024Nano Research2024,17,4:0
18Preliminary Study on Water Demand Law of 1-0 Rooted Cuttings of Populus szechuanica显示文摘In order to provide theoretical basis and technical support for the afforestation and artificial water supply of P.szechuanica in arid areas,the characteristics of water consumption of P.szechuanica were explored,and the law of water demand of P.szechuanica was grasped.In this paper,potted seedlings of 1-0 rooted cuttings of P.szechuanica were taken as research objects,and change situation of water consumption under different water control gradients was measured regularly by using weighing method,further analyzing dynamic change of water consumption of P.szechuanica and revealing water demand law of 1-0 rooted cuttings of P.szechuanica.The results showed that total change of water consumption of 1-0 rooted cuttings of P.szechuanica had'slow-fast-slow-fast'double-peak trend in the growth period of the current year,and corresponded with univariate linear relation(R^(2)=0.7137),with significant difference.In whole growth period,water consumption in August was the highest,which was 2.7 times of that in June and July and 1.5 times of that after September.In different water control treatments,the dynamic changes of daily and monthly water consumption were significantly different.In seven water control treatments,monthly water consumption was between(6315.95±1690.70)and(10105.28±3065.30)g/month,and mean was(8211.07±2308.23)g/month.With intensification of water control treatment,water consumption increased,but there was no seedling death due to water shortage.P.szechuanica has great plasticity in water demand,and can survive in both arid and humid environments.Meanwhile,it is revealed that P.szechuanica is the most widely distributed tree species in the region.Dabuqiong Haoyu WANG Huanhuan XIE Zhen XING Yanhui YE 2021Meteorological and Environmental Research2021,12,4:0
19Natural selection on various sites of ribosomal proteins: a cladistic view显示文摘Deducing the function of certain sites within a protein necessitates a priori recognition of the strength of selective pressure. Currently, statistical method is the only option to evaluate the degree of conservation. In the statistical framework, the types of selective pressure can be divided into classifications of negative, nearly neutral and positive. However, such quantitative methods may omit some crucial amino acid sites among the nearly neutral results. In this study, we propose that the cladistic information can be also important to evaluate the functional importance of various amino acid sites. The ribosomal proteins of 62 eukaryotic species were chosen as the case for statistical and cladistic analysis. The evolutionary changes of each site in the aligned sequences were matched on a currently well-accepted cladogram of eukaryotes. Hundreds of synapomorphic sites were discovered in various clades, in which only part of them were suggested to be potentially significant in the statistical framework. Notably, the mutation on His213 of RPL10 in human beings, which are synapomorphic in vertebrates but only be identified as being under neutral selection, is account for the disease Autism. Therefore, the cladistic information can be complementary to the statistical framework in understanding lineage-specific selection event. Additionally, the bias in the accumulation of apomorphic amino acids is significant when going from the Chordata to the Mammalia lineages.
