1Mechanical property of artificial methane hydrate under triaxial compression显示文摘Methane production from hydrate reservoir may induce seabed slide and deformation of the hydrate-bearing strata.The research on mechanical properties of methane hydrate is considered to be important for developing an efficient methane exploitation technology.In this paper,a triaxial test system containing a pressure crystal device was developed with the conditions to stabilize the hydrate.A series of triaxial shear tests were carried out on artificial methane hydrate specimen.In addition,mechanical characteristics of methane hydrate were studied with the strain rates of 0.1 and 1.0 mm/min,respectively,under the conditions of different temperatures(T =-5,-10,and-20 ℃) and confining pressures(P = 0,5,10,15,and 20 MPa).The preliminary results show that when the confining pressure was less than 10 MPa,the increase of confining pressure leaded to the enhancement of shear strength.Furthermore,the decreasing temperature and the increasing strain rate both caused the increase in shear strength.Yongchen Song Feng Yu Yanghui Li Weiguo Liu Jiafei Zhao 2010Journal of Natural Gas Chemistry2010,19,3:28
2Genomic landscape and genetic manipulation of the black soldier fly Hermetia illucens,a natural waste recycler显示文摘The black soldier fly(BSF),Hermetia illucens(Diptera:Stratiomyidae),is renowned for its bioconversion of organic waste into a sustainable source of animal feed.We report a high-quality genome of 1.1 Gb and a consensus set of 16,770 gene models for this beneficial species.Compared to those of other dipteran species,the BSF genome has undergone a substantial expansion in functional modules related to septic adaptation,including immune system factors,olfactory receptors,and cytochrome P450s.We further profiled midgut transcriptomes and associated microbiomes of BSF larvae fed with representative types of organic waste.We find that the pathways related to digestive system and fighting infection are commonly enriched and that Firmicutes bacteria dominate the microbial community in BSF across all diets.To extend its potential practical applications,we further developed an efficient CRISPR/Cas9-based gene editing approach and implemented this to yield flightless and enhanced feeding capacity phenotypes,both of which could expand BSF production capabilities.Our study provides valuable genomic and technical resources for optimizing BSF lines for industrialization.Shuai Zhan Gangqi Fang Minmin Cai Zongqing Kou Jun Xu Yanghui Cao Liang Bai Yixiang Zhang Yongmao Jiang Xingyu Luo Jian Xu Xia Xu Longyu Zheng Ziniu Yu Hong Yang Zhijian Zhang Sibao Wang Jeffery K.Tomberlin Jibin Zhang Yongping Huang 2020Cell Research2020,30,1:9
3The status of exploitation techniques of natural gas hydrate显示文摘Natural gas hydrate(NGH)has been widely considered as an alternative form of energy with huge potential,due to its tremendous reserves,cleanness and high energy density.Several countries involving Japan,Canada,India and China have launched national projects on the exploration and exploitation of gas hydrate resources.At the beginning of this century,an early trial production of hydrate resources was carried out in Mallik permafrost region,Canada.Japan has conducted the first field test from marine hydrates in 2013,followed by another trial in 2017.China also made its first trial production from marine hydrate sediments in 2017.Yet the low production efficiency,ice/hydrate regeneration,and sand problems are still commonly encountered;the worldwide progress is far before commercialization.Up to now,many gas production techniques have been proposed,and a few of them have been adopted in the field production tests.Nevertheless,hardly any method appears really promising;each of them shows limitations at certain conditions.Therefore,further efforts should be made on the economic efficiency as well as sustainability and environmental impacts.In this paper,the investigations on NGH exploitation techniques are comprehensively reviewed,involving depressurization,thermal stimulation,chemical inhibitor injection,CO2–CH4 exchange,their combinations,and some novel techniques.The behavior of each method and its further potential in the field test are discussed.The advantages and limitations of laboratory studies are also analyzed.The work could give some guidance in the future formulation of exploitation scheme and evaluation of gas production behavior from hydrate reservoirs.Lei Yang Yulong Liu Hanquan Zhang Bo Xiao Xianwei Guo Rupeng Wei Lei Xu Lingjie Sun Bin Yu Shudong Leng Yanghui Li 2019Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2019,27,9:9
4Characterising the nature, evolution and origin of detachment fault in central depression belt, Qiongdongnan Basin of South China Sea: evidence from seismic reflection data显示文摘Using regional geological, newly acquired 2D and 3D seismic, drilling and well log data, especially 2D long cable seismic profiles, the structure and stratigraphy in the deep-water area of Qiongdongnan Basin are interpreted. The geometry of No.2 fault system is also re-defined, which is an important fault in the central depression belt of the deep-water area in the Qiongdongnan Basin by employing the quantitative analysis techniques of fault activity and backstripping. Furthermore, the dynamical evolution of the No.2 fault system and its controls on the central depression belt are analyzed. This study indicates that the Qiongdongnan Basin was strongly influenced by the NW-trending tensile stress field during the Late Eocene. At this time, No.2 fault system initiated and was characterized by several discontinuous fault segments, which controlled a series small NE-trending fault basins. During the Oligocene, the regional extensional stress field changed from NW-SE to SN with the oceanic spreading of South China Sea, the early small faults started to grow along their strikes, eventually connected and merged as the listric shape of the No.2 fault system as observed today. No.2 fault detaches along the crustal Moho surface in the deep domain of the seismic profiles as a large-scale detachment fault. A large-scale rollover anticline formed in hanging wall of the detachment fault. There are a series of small fault basins in both limbs of the rollover anticline, showing that the early small basins were involved into fold deformation of the rollover anticline. Structurally, from west to east, the central depression belt is characterized by alternatively arranged graben and half-graben. The central depression belt of the Qiongdongnan Basin lies at the extension zone of the tip of the V-shaped northwestern ocean sub-basin of the South China Sea, its activity period is the same as the development period of the northwestern ocean sub-basin, furthermore the emplacement and eruption of magma that originated from the mantle below the Moho surface occurred at the region between Songnan-Baodao and Changchang sags, from east to west with the early-stage spreading of the South China Sea. 5Seismic Reflection Characteristics and Evolution of Intrusions in the Qiongdongnan Basin: Implications for the Rifting of the South China Sea显示文摘The Qiongdongnan Basin(QDNB) is situated in the extensional zone at the vertex of the V-shaped northwest sub-basin, non-volcanic northern margin of the South China Sea(SCS). From north to south, the thickness of the continental lithosphere decreases from 22 km on the northern continental shelf to 17 km at the deepest area of the central depression. A sharp change on the crustal structure is of importance to hydrocarbon exploration yet the dynamic causes remain unknown. A comprehensive study including (1) interpretation of seismic profiles,(2) P-wave velocity data modeling, and (3) magnetic anomalies analysis reveals that there are some high-density intrusions along the lithospheric thinning belt. Chaotic reflections can be found in the southwest of the QDNB, with a low velocity(<3.4 km/s), while in the center and the east, the intensively deformed strata passing towards the diapir flanks and their high velocities(>6 km/s) suggest the existence of igneous diapirs. Diapirism differentiation are primarily achieved through analysis of the contact relationship and the thickness variations in the surrounding strata. The first phase of diapirism along the Songnan low uplift occurred in the Late Mesozoic, and the second phase of diapirism in a form of subsequent gas movement remained active until the Late Quaternary. 6Influence factors of methane hydrate formation from ice:Temperature,pressure and SDS surfactant显示文摘A series of experiments of forming hydrate from ice powders in different conditions have been carried out with constant volume method to evaluate the influence factors such as pressure, temperature, and SDS surfactant. The change of temperature and pressure were collected as a function of elapsed time, which were used to calculate the gas consumption and hydrate saturation during hydrate formation(pVT method). Based on the experimental results and the analysis, it is concluded that:(1) Both initial pressure and temperature have effect on the hydrate formation and temperature plays a more important role in the process;(2) heating and secondary pressurization will promote the gas hydrate formation and enhance the hydrate saturation as a result. 7The double face of miR-320:cardiomyocytes-derived miR-320 deteriorated while fibroblasts-derived miR-320 protected against heart failure induced by transverse aortic constriction显示文摘MicroRNAs(miRNAs)are aberrantly expressed in the pathophysiologic process of heart failure(HF).However,the functions of a certain miRNA in different cardiac cell types during HF are scarcely reported,which might be covered by the globe effects of it on the heart.In the current study,Langendorff system was applied to isolate card io myocytes(CMs)and cardiac fibroblasts(CFs)from transverse aortic constriction(TAC)-induced mice.Slight increase of miR-320 expression was observed in the whole heart tissue of TAC mice.Interestingly,miR-320 was significantly elevated in CMs but decreased in CFs from TAC mice at different time points.Then,recombinant adeno-associated virus 9 with cell-type-specific promoters were used to manipulate miR-320 expressions in vivo.Both in vitro and in vivo experiments showed the miR-320 overexpression in CMs exacerbated cardiac dysfunction,whereas overexpression of miR-320 in CFs alleviated cardiac fibrosis and hypertrophy.Mechanically,downstream signaling pathway analyses revealed that miR-320 might induce various effects via targeting PLEKHM3 and IFITM1 in CMs and CFs,respectively.Moreover,miR-320 mediated effects could be abolished by PLEKHM3 re-expression in CMs or IFITM1 re-expression in CFs.Interestingly,miR-320 treated CFs were able to indirectly affect CMs function,but not vice versa.Meanwhile,upstream signaling pathway analyses showed that miR-320 expression and decay rate were rigorously manipulated by Ago2,which was regulated by a cluster of cell-type-specific TFs distinctively expressed in CMs and CFs,respectively.Together,we demonstrated that miR-320 functioned differently in various cell types of the heart during the progression of HF.Xudong Zhang Shuai Yuan Huaping Li Jiabing Zhan Feng Wang Jiahui Fan Xiang Nie Yan Wang Zheng Wen Yanghui Chen Chen Chen Dao Wen Wang 2021Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2021,6,3:4

9Numerical studies of hydrate dissociation and gas production behavior in porous media during depressurization process显示文摘In this study,a numerical model is developed to investigate the hydrate dissociation and gas production in porous media by depressurization.A series of simulation runs are conducted to study the impacts of permeability characteristics,including permeability reduction exponent,absolute permeability,hydrate accumulation habits and hydrate saturation,sand average grain size and irreducible water saturation.The effects of the distribution of hydrate in porous media are examined by adapting conceptual models of hydrate accumulation habits into simulations to govern the evolution of permeability with hydrate decomposition,which is also compared with the conventional reservoir permeability model,i.e.Corey model.The simulations show that the hydrate dissociation rate increases with the decrease of permeability reduction exponent,hydrate saturation and the sand average grain size.Compared with the conceptual models of hydrate accumulation habits,our simulations indicate that Corey model overpredicts the gas production and the performance of hydrate coating models is superior to that of hydrate filling models in gas production,which behavior does follow by the order of capillary coating>pore coating>pore filling>capillary filling.From the analysis of t1/2,some interesting results are suggested as follows:(1) there is a 'switch' value(the'switch'absolute permeability) for laboratory-scale hydrate dissociation in porous media,the absolute permeability has almost no influence on the gas production behavior when the permeability exceeds the 'switch' value.In this study,the 'switch' value of absolute permeability can be estimated to be between 10 and 50 md.(2) An optimum value of initial effective water saturation Sw,e exists where hydrate dissociation rate reaches the maximum and the optimum value largely coincides with the value of irreducible water saturation S wr,e.For the case of Sw,Swr,e,there are different control mechanisms dominating the process of hydrate dissociation and gas production.Xuke Ruan Mingjun Yang Yongchen Song Haifeng Liang Yanghui Li 2012Journal of Natural Gas Chemistry2012,21,4:3

11Adsorption isotherms and kinetic characteristics of methane on block anthracite over a wide pressure range显示文摘It is important to quantitatively understand the methane adsorption and transport mechanism in coal for an evaluation of the reserves and for its production forecast. In this work, a block coal sample was chosen to perform the CH4 adsorption experiments using the gravimetric method at temperatures of 293.60 K, 311.26 K, 332.98 K and 352.55 K and pressures up to 19 MPa. The excess adsorption capacity of CH4 in dry block anthracite increased, followed by a sequence decrease with the increasing pressure. High temperature restrained the growth of the excess adsorption due to that the adsorption is an intrinsically physical and exothermic process. The excess adsorption peak decreased slowly with the increase of temperature and intersected at a pressure of more than 18 MPa; meanwhile, the pressure at the excess adsorption peak increased.The existing correlations were examined in terms of density rather than pressure. The DR+k correlation, with an average relative deviation of ±0.51%, fitted our data better than the others, with an average relative deviation of up to 2.29%. The transportation characteristics of CH4 adsorption was also investigated in this study, including the adsorption rate and diffusion in block coal. The kinetic data could be described by a modified unipore model. The adsorption rates were found to exhibit dependence on pressure and temperature at low pressures, while the calculated diffusivities exhibited little temperature dependence. In addition, the kinetic characteristics were compared between CH4 and CO2 adsorption on the block coal. 13Geodynamic processes of the southeastern Neo-Tethys Ocean and the formation mechanism of the curved subduction system in Southeast Asia显示文摘Southeast Asia is located at the intersection of the Tethys and Pacific domains. The superimposed effects of the two tectonic domains have resulted in complicated deep structure, surface magma responses, and dynamic processes of Southeast Asia. Based on the latest long-term passive seismic experiment and numerical modeling, this study reconstructs the dynamic processes of the closure of the Neo-Tethys Ocean and the formation of the curved subduction system in Southeast Asia since the Late Mesozoic. P-wave velocity structure shows a remnant of the Neo-Tethys subducted slab in the lower mantle beneath Southeast Asia at a depth of approximately 1500 km. On the Java-East Timor subduction zone, the remnant slab is coupled with the Indo-Australian subducting slab in the upper mantle with the same direction, while on the Sumatra subduction zone, the remnant slab is decoupled from the Indo-Australian subducting slab in different directions. The formation of the curved subduction system in Southeast Asia is resulted from the northward subdcutions of previous Neo-Tethys and current IndoAustralian Plate, and the westward subduction of the Pacific Plate since Mesozoic. The former is characterized by continuous subduction and subsequent continental block collision, forming the current continental lithosphere in Southeast Asia and the curve-shaped Sumatra-Java subduction zone;the latter is characterized by subduction retreat and back-arc spreading, forming the eastern Philippine subduction zone and a series of marginal sea basins. 14EDTA-assisted hydrothermal synthesis of flower-like CoSe_2 nanorods as an efficient electrocatalyst for the hydrogen evolution reaction显示文摘Hydrogen evolution reaction(HER) is a prospective method to generate pure hydrogen. The development of superior electrocatalysts based on earth-abundant materials, plays a critical role in the future.CoSe_2, one of the earth-abundant electrocatalysts, has been proved to be a promising catalyst for hydrogen generation. In our work, flower-like CoSe_2 nanorods with high quality are successfully synthesized through a facile ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid ligand(EDTA)-assisted hydrothermal process. The flower-like CoSe_2 nanorods show the brilliant electrochemical HER performance with 100 mA cm^(-2) at overpotential of 273 m V, a small Tafel slope of 35 mV dec^(-1) and strong durability in acid solution. The sparkly HER catalytic activity of CoSe_2 can be ascribed to its particular structure with large surface area and abundant active sites. 15Characterization and variation of dissolved organic matter in composting: a critical review显示文摘As the most motive organic fraction in composting,dissolved organic matter(DOM)can contribute to the transfer and dispersal of pollutants and facilitate the global carbon cycle in aquatic ecosystems.However,it is still unclear how composting approaches and conditions influence the properties of compost-derived DOM.Further details on the shift of DOM character indexes are required.In this study,the change in properties of compost-derived DOM at different composting approaches and the effect of composting conditions on the DOM characteristics are summarized.Thereafter,the change in DOM character indexes’in composting was comprehensively reviewed.Along with composting,the elements and spectral properties(chromophoric DOM(CDOM)and fluorescent DOM(FDOM))were altered,size and hydrophobicity increased,and aromatic-C and electron transfer capacity were promoted.Finally,some prospects to improve this study were put forward.This paper should facilitate the people who have an interest in tracing the fate of DOM in composting.Yanghui Xiong 2023Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2023,17,5:2

19Flexible Oxide-Based Thin-Film Transistors on Plastic Substrates for Logic Applications显示文摘Phosphorus doped(P-doped) nanogranular SiO2 films have been deposited by plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition. A high proton conductivity of ~3.2x10-4S/cm and a large electric double layer(EDL) capacitance of ~3.2μF/cm2 have been obtained. Flexible coplanar-gate EDL thin film transistors(TFTs) gated by P-doped nanogranular SiO2 films are self-assembled on plastic substrates at room temperature. Due to the big EDL capacitance,such TFTs show ultra-low voltage operation of 1 V,a large field-effect mobility of 18.9 cm2/Vs,a small subthreshold swing of 85 m V/decade and a high current on/off ratio of 107. Furthermore,the EDL TFT could work in dual coplanar gate mode. AND logic operation is realized.
