| 1 | Stepwise-Nanocavity-Assisted Transmissive Color Filter Array Microprints显示文摘Visible-light color flters using patterned nanostructures have attracted much interest due to their various advantages such as compactness,enhanced stability,and environmental friendliness compared with traditional pigment or dye-based optical flters.While most existing studies are based on planar nanostructures with lateral variation in size,shape,and arrangement,the vertical dimension of structures is a long-ignored degree of freedom for the structural colors.Herein,we demonstrate a synthetic platform for transmissive color flter array by coordinated manipulations between height-varying nanocavities and their lateral flling fractions.Te thickness variation of those nanocavities has been fully deployed as an alternative degree of freedom,yielding vivid colors with wide gamut and excellent saturation.Experimental results show that the color-rendering capability of the pixelated nanocavities can be still retained as pixels are miniaturized to 500 nm.Crosstalk between closely spaced pixels of a Bayer color flter arrangement was calculated,showing minimal crosstalk for 1μm2 square subpixels.Our work provides an approach to designing and fabricating ultracompact color flter arrays for various potential applications including stained-glass microprints,microspectrometers,and high-resolution image sensing systems. | Yasi Wang Mengjie Zheng Qifeng Ruan Yanming Zhou Yiqin Chen Peng Dai Zhengmei Yang Zihao Lin Yuxiang Long Ying Li Na Liu Cheng-Wei Qiu Joel K.W.Yang Huigao Duan | 2018 | Research2018,,1: | 8 |

| 3 | Characterization of miRNomes in Acute and Chronic Myeloid Leukemia Cell Lines显示文摘Myeloid leukemias are highly diverse diseases and have been shown to be associated with microRNA(miRNA) expression aberrations. The present study involved an in-depth miRNome analysis of two human acute myeloid leukemia(AML) cell lines, HL-60 and THP-1, and one human chronic myeloid leukemia(CML) cell line, K562, via massively parallel signature sequencing. mRNA expression profiles of these cell lines that were established previously in our lab facilitated an integrative analysis of miRNA and mRNA expression patterns. miRNA expression profiling followed by differential expression analysis and target prediction suggested numerous miRNA signatures in AML and CML cell lines. Some miRNAs may act as either tumor suppressors or oncomiRs in AML and CML by targeting key genes in AML and CML pathways. Expression patterns of cell type-specific miRNAs could partially reflect the characteristics of K562, HL-60 and THP-1 cell lines, such as actin filament-based processes, responsiveness to stimulus and phagocytic activity. miRNAs may also regulate myeloid differentiation, since they usually suppress differentiation regulators. Our study provides a resource to further investigate the employment of miRNAs in human leukemia subtyping, leukemogenesis and myeloid development. | 4 | Nanoscale pore morphology and distribution of lacustrine shale reservoirs:Examples from the Upper Triassic Yanchang Formation,Ordos Basin显示文摘Pore structure plays an important role in the gas storage and flow capacity of shale gas reservoirs. Fieldemission environmental scanning electron microscopy(FE-SEM) in combination with low-pressure carbon dioxide gas adsorption(CO2GA),nitrogen gas adsorption(N2GA),and high-pressure mercury intrusion(HPMI) were used to study the nanostructure pore morphology and pore-size distributions(PSDs) of lacustrine shale from the Upper Triassic Yanchang Formation,Ordos Basin. Results show that the pores in the shale reservoirs are generally nanoscale and can be classified into four types: organic,interparticle,intraparticle,and microfracture. The interparticle pores between clay particles and organic-matter pores develop most often,l with pore sizes that vary from several to more than 100 nm. Mercury porosimetry analysis shows total porosities ranging between 1.93 and 7.68%,with a mean value of 5.27%. The BET surface areas as determined by N2 adsorption in the nine samples range from 10 to 20 m2/g and the CO2 equivalent surface areas(<2 nm)vary from 18 to 71 m2/g. Together,the HPMI,N2 GA,and CO2 GA curves indicate that the pore volumes are mainly due to pores <100 nm in size. In contrast,however,most of the specific surface areas are provided by the micropores. The total organic carbon(TOC) and clay minerals are the primary controls of the structures of nanoscale pores(especially micropores and mesopores). | 6 | Targeting PFKL with penfluridol inhibits glycolysis and suppresses esophageal cancer tumorigenesis in an AMPK/FOXO3a/BIM-dependent manner显示文摘As one of the hallmarks of cancer,metabolic reprogramming leads to cancer progression,and targeting glycolytic enzymes could be useful strategies for cancer therapy.By screening a small molecule library consisting of 1320 FDA-approved drugs,we found that penfluridol,an antipsychotic drug used to treat schizophrenia,could inhibit glycolysis and induce apoptosis in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma(ESCC).Gene profiling and Ingenuity Pathway Analysis suggested the important role of AMPK in action mechanism of penfluridol.By using drug affinity responsive target stability(DARTS)technology and proteomics,we identified phosphofructokinase,liver type(PFKL),a key enzyme in glycolysis,as a direct target of penfluridol.Penfluridol could not exhibit its anticancer property in PFKL-deficient cancer cells,illustrating that PFKL is essential for the bioactivity of penfluridol.High PFKL expression is correlated with advanced stages and poor survival of ESCC patients,and silencing of PFKL significantly suppressed tumor growth.Mechanistically,direct binding of penfluridol and PFKL inhibits glucose consumption,lactate and ATP production,leads to nuclear translocation of FOXO3a and subsequent transcriptional activation of BIM in an AMPK-dependent manner.Taken together,PFKL is a potential prognostic biomarker and therapeutic target in ESCC,and penfluridol may be a new therapeutic option for management of this lethal disease. | Cancan Zheng Xiaomei Yu Yiyao Liang Yidong Zhu Yan He Long Liao Dingkang Wang Yanming Yang Xingfeng Yin Ang Li Qingyu He Bin Li | 2022 | Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2022,12,3: | 4 |
| 7 | cDNA cloning and expression of erythropoietin in the plateau zokor(Myospalax baileyi) from the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau显示文摘All organisms respond to variation in their environments and manage environmental stress through metabolic adjustments.The plateau zokor(Myospalax baileyi) is an endemic and keystone subterranean rodent species that inhabits the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau between 2800 and 4200 m above sea level.It is a hypoxic-tolerant mammal with a high ratio of oxygen utilization that enables it to cope with its harsh surroundings.To explore the molecular mechanism of altitude acclimatization of the plateau zokor,we cloned the zokor erythropoietin(Epo) gene and used real-time PCR to compare Epo mRNA levels in zokors inhabiting 16 different altitudes.The full-length zokor Epo open reading frame was 579 bp that encoded a precursor peptide of 192 amino acids with a signal peptide of 26 residues.The Epo gene of the plateau zokor was 81%-95% homologous to that of human,mouse,rat,root vole and the Golan Heights blind mole rat,with the highest homology(95%) to species of the genus Spalax.Epo mRNA was detected mainly in the zokor kidney and spleen among 8 selected tissues.The level of Epo mRNA increased in the liver and kidney with increases in altitude.The increase in the kidney was 5 times that in the liver.Remarkably,expression of Epo mRNA in the kidney of zokors living at the highest altitude(4268 m) was 12-fold higher than that of zokors living at the lowest(2492 m) altitude.These findings provide essential information for understanding the possible role of Epo in adaptation to hypoxia in the plateau zokor. | WANG ZhenLong CHEN Yan YANG Jie CHEN WeiJun ZHANG YanMing ZHAO XinQuan | 2012 | Chinese Science Bulletin2012,57,9: | 4 |

| 9 | Postmarketing studies on safety of Dengfeng~ shenmai injection显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To systematically research the postmarketing safety of Dengfeng shenmai injection, identify potential risk factors, and ensure its clinical safety. METHODS: We investigated a comprehensive series of studies on the production process, quality standards, pharmacology, postmarketing clinical studies, and safety evaluation of Shenmai injection, including literature analysis of adverse drug reaction(ADR) case analysis and systematic review. Data from the hospital information system(HIS) and spontaneous reporting system(SRS) were also analyzed. RESULTS: The approximate dosage leading to death in dogs is 45.0-67.5 g raw drug/kg and the toxic reactions are restlessness, skin irritation, salivation, and vomiting. The results of chronic toxicity tests in mice and dogs, and the other tests such as 6-month toxicity, drug safety, genetic toxicity, and reproductive toxicity of rats and dogs, were positive or qualified. Patient ADR history and ADR family history were closely associated with itching based on the data analysis from SRS. There was no damage to renal function from Shenmai injection use at a dosage and a treatment course outside the recommended dosage and treatment course as specified based on data analysis from HIS. The most common ADR from Shenmai injection are difficulty breathing, facial flushing, nausea, vomiting, chest tightness, skin itching, rash, and back pain. CONCLUSION: This study includes complete information on Shenmai injection ADR incidence rate. | 11 | Establishment of safety evidence for Xingxue~ Shuxuening injection显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To systematically investigate the safety of Xingxue~ Shuxuening injection(SXN) in preand post-marketing, and to ensure clinical drug safety.METHODS: Strict quality control in raw herb selection and production processes was adopted and pharmacology research on SXN was performed by the drug manufacturing company, Heilongjiang ZBD Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. We systematically reviewed the safety literature of Xingxue~ SXN. Adverse drug reaction(ADR) data of the drug, extracted from Spontaneous Reporting System(SRS), and clinical characters based on 20 hospital information systems(HIS) in China, were analyzed. Large-scale prospective safety monitoring and Risk Minimization Action Plans(Risk MAPs) of Xingxue~SXN were carried out.RESULTS: The quality of SXN was stable and controllable when it was produced. Drug toxicology studies found no effect on rabbits with hemolytic or condensed, local stimulation and muscle stimulation, and no allergic reactions in guinea pigs. The ADRs of Xingxue~ SXN were dizziness, phlebitis,and vomiting based on SRS data. The injection did not conform to instructions in clinical practice when we analyzed HIS database, and patient’s abnormal blood urea nitrogen levels may be related to the drug, when analyzed using the propensity score method. A nested case-control study was designed and performed to analyze the influencing factors of suspected allergic reactions to SXN. The study showed that patients with an allergy history were more prone to allergic reactions(P<0.001),and some medicine combinations could cause allergic reactions.CONCLUSION: These studies have established a body of evidence on Xingxue~ SXN safety, and provide a good model for Chinese medicine injection for clinical safety. The Xingxue~ SXN production process and toxicology research indicate the safety of the injection. However, the use of the injection is not consistent with instructed clinical practice.Xingxue~ SXN causes ADRs perhaps from inappropriate usage or its pharmacological action. | 12 | Tendency for Evolution of High Myopia in 308 Chinese School Children from Xi'an City显示文摘Purpose: To observe the refractive status, especially the tendency for evolution of high myopia, in eyes of Chinese school children from Xi’an city.Methods: The study was conducted in 11514 eyes of the 5757students aged between 7~18 years in Xi’an city primary and high schools. The inclusion criterion was >-6D of the spherical equivalent refraction. The object ophthalmic examinations were done, included non-cycloplegic objective refraction, visual acuity, intraocular pressure, fundus evaluation by ophthalmologists and nurses with professional training. Specially designed questionnaires were filled in and the data were statistically analyzed with SPSS10.0.Results: Of 11514 eyes, the detection rate was 81.4%(9376eyes) for myopia and 5.3%(615 eyes) for high myopia. High myopia was found in 2.6%.(300 eyes).of right eyes, 2.7%(315 eyes) in left eyes, and 2.4%(275 eyes) were in boys and 2.9%(340 eyes) in girls. Among 12 school grades, the detection rates of high myopia increased significantly with student age, with 0.9% in the 1stgrade of primary school and12.5% in the 3rd year of senior middle school. The average refractive error of spherical equivalent refraction was(-7.43±1.29) D with 95% confidence interval(-7.54,-7.33). No significant differences were found between the right and left eyes or both genders. The distribution of myopic severity was lowest(-6D).in primary school students younger than 12 years,was higher(-8D) in junior middle school students older than13 years, and highest(-13D) in senior middle school students.Conclusion: A continuous growth was evident in the severity of high myopia throughout 12 years of primary and middle school except for the first year of primary school, with growth occurring in two transitional stages between the senior primary and junior middle school years, and between the junior and senior middle school years. The distribution of high myopia was lowest, at-6D, in primary school, increased to-8D in junior middle school, and progressed to-10D in senior middle school, indicating a high risk of development of pathologic myopia during the students’ later lifespan. | 13 | Influence of Si Content on Properties of Ti1-xSixN Coatings显示文摘To investigate the evolution of microstructure and wear behavior of TiSiN coatings with the variation of Si in targets and lays the foundation for its controllable mass production, Ti1-xSixN composite coatings were deposited onto Si(100) and cemented carbide substrates using TiSi targets with different Si content by cathodic arc ion plating. The influences of Si on the microstructure and mechanical properties were studied. Nano-amorphous composite structure appeared in the Ti1-xSixN coatings when Si content in TiSi target was higher than 5 at%. However, further increase of Si content in TiSi target exhibited a negligible effect on the microstructure of Ti1-xSixN coatings. Hardness and deformation resistance were correlated to the content of Si in TiSi targets. Maximum hardness was obtained as the Si content in target increased up to 20 at%. | 14 | Risk assessment model for endpoints of ischemic stroke: A study protocol for a registry study显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the risk of ischemic stroke endpoints by establishing risk assessment models that combine Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)and modern medicine indicators.METHODS/DESIGN: The proposed study is a registry-based participant survey conducted in seven hospitals nationwide in China. After obtaining informed consent, 3000 patients diagnosed with ischemic stroke will be recruited. One-year follow-ups will be performed on-site in hospitals and by telephone to track endpoint events. Comparative analysis of the prevalence of endpoint events and other TCM or modern medicine features in different groups will be conducted using frequency analysis and χ2tests, and the results will be expressed as composition ratios. Comparative analysis of quantitative scores and related patterns or symptoms will be conducted using a rank-sum test. Correlation analysis of endpoint events and TCM or modern medicine factors will be performed using a multivariate Cox proportional hazard model.DISCUSSION: Previous reports have described modern medicine indicator-based risk assessment models for ischemic stroke endpoint events, but no such studies have included TCM features. | 17 | Bacteroides ovatus-mediated CD27^(−)MAIT cell activation is associated with obesity-related T2D progression显示文摘Type 2 diabetes(T2D)is highly associated with obesity.However,the factors that drive the transition from excessive weight gain to glucose metabolism disruption are still uncertain and seem to revolve around systemic immune disorder.Mucosal-associated invariant T(MAIT)cells,which are innate-like T cells that recognize bacterial metabolites,have been reported to be altered in obese people and to lead to metabolic dysfunction during obesity.By studying the immunophenotypes of blood MAIT cells from a cross-sectional cohort of obese participants with/without T2D,we found an elevation in CD27^(-)negative(CD27−)MAIT cells producing a high level of IL-17 under T2D obese conditions,which could be positively correlated with impaired glucose metabolism in obese people.We further explored microbial translocation caused by gut barrier dysfunction in obese people as a triggering factor of MAIT cell abnormalities.Specifically,accumulation of the bacterial strain Bacteroides ovatus in the peripheral blood drove IL-17^(-)producing CD27−MAIT cell expansion and could be associated with T2D risk in obese individuals.Overall,these results suggest that an aberrant gut microbiota–immune axis in obese people may drive or exacerbate T2D.Importantly,CD27−MAIT cell subsets and Bacteroides ovatus could represent targets for novel interventional strategies.Our findings extend current knowledge regarding the clinical relevance of body mass index(BMI)-associated variation in circulating MAIT cells to reveal the role of these cells in obesity-related T2D progression and the underlying cellular mechanisms. | Yue Li Yi Yang Jin Wang Peihong Cai Mei Li Xixiang Tang Ying Tan Yuchan Wang Fan Zhang Xiaofeng Wen Qiaoxing Liang Yuanpeng Nie Tufeng Chen Xiang Peng Xuemin He Yanhua Zhu Guojun Shi Wai WCheung Lai Wei Yanming Chen Yan Lu | 2022 | Cellular & Molecular Immunology2022,19,7: | 2 |

MicroRNAs can regulate gene expression of eukaryote; they widely participate in every physiological process. They can block mRNA expression or cleave mRNA by complement to target mRNA. Scholars estimate miRNA genes occuping about 1% of genome, but they can regulate 10%-30% genes of whole genome. The genes are regulated by miRNA including signal proteins, enzymes, transcription factors, and so on. In the field of plant research, the start of miRNA research is later, but it is proved that plant miRNAs are important to every plant physiological process. Now miRNA has become the hotspot of plant molecular biology research. This paper introduced the biology function, action mechanism, researching method and recently development of microRNAs, also focused on advances in plant microRNAs. | 20 | Promoting electrochemical reduction of CO_(2) to ethanol by B/N-doped sp^(3)/sp^(2) nanocarbon electrode显示文摘Electrochemical reduction of CO_(2) to value-added chemicals holds promise for carbon utilization and renewable electricity storage.However,selective CO_(2) reduction to multi-carbon fuels remains a significant challenge.Here,we report that B/N-doped sp^(3)/sp^(2) hybridized nanocarbon(BNHC),consisting of ultra-small nanoparticles with a sp^(3) carbon core covered by a sp^(2) carbon shell,is an efficient electrocatalyst for electrochemical reduction of CO_(2) to ethanol at relatively low overpotentials.CO_(2) reduction occurs with a Faradaic efficiency of 58.8%-69.1% for ethanol and acetate production at -0.5∼-0.6 V(vs.RHE),among which 51.6%-56.0% is for ethanol.The high selectivity for ethanol is due to the integrated effect of sp^(3)/sp^(2) carbon and B/N doping.Both sp^(3) carbon and B/N doping contribute to enhanced ethanol production with sp^(2) carbon reducing the overpotential for CO_(2) reduction to ethanol. | Yanming Liu Haolei Yang Xinfei Fan Bing Shan Thomas J.Meyer | 2022 | Chinese Chemical Letters2022,33,10: | 2 |
