1The Lushan M_S7.0 earthquake and activity of the southern segment of the Longmenshan fault zone显示文摘Following the Lushan MS7.0 earthquake on 20 April 2013,a topic of much concern is whether events of MS7 or greater could occur again on the southern segment of the Longmenshan fault zone.In providing evidence to answer this question,this work analyzes the tectonic relationship between the Lushan event and the 2008 Wenchuan earthquake and the rupture history of the southern segment of the Longmenshan fault zone,through field investigations of active tectonics and paleoearthquake research,and our preliminary conclusions are as follows.The activity of the southern segment of the Longmenshan fault zone is much different to that of its central section,and the late Quaternary activity has propagated forward to the basin in the east.The seismogenic structure of the 2008 Wenchuan earthquake is the central-fore-range fault system,whereas that of the 2013 Lushan event is attributed to the fore-range-range-front fault system,rather than the central fault.The southern segment of the Longmenshan fault zone becomes wider towards the south with an increasing number of secondary faults,of which the individual faults exhibit much weaker surface activity.Therefore,this section is not as capable of generating a major earthquake as is the central segment.It is most likely that the 2013 earthquake fills the seismic gap around Lushan on the southern segment of the Longmenshan fault zone.CHEN LiChun RAN YongKang WANG Hu LI YanBao MA XinQuan 2013Chinese Science Bulletin2013,58,28:24
2SUMOylation of RIG-I positively regulates the type I interferon signaling显示文摘Retinoic acid-inducible gene-I(RIG-I)functions as an intracellular pattern recognition receptor(PRR)that recognizes the 5'-triphosphate moiety of single-stranded RNA viruses to initiate the innate immune response.Previous studies have shown that Lys63-linked ubiquitylation is required for RIG-I activation and the downstream anti-viral type I interferon(IFN-I)induction.Herein we reported that,RIG-I was also modified by small ubiquitin-like modifier-1(SUMO-1).Functional analysis showed that RIG-I SUMOylation enhanced IFN-I production through increased ubiquitylation and the interaction with its downstream adaptor molecule Cardif.Our results therefore suggested that SUMOylation might serve as an additional regulatory tier for RIG-I activation and IFN-I signaling.Zhiqiang Mi Jihuan Fu Yanbao Xiong Hong Tang 2010Protein & Cell2010,1,3:6
3Paleoseismic ruptures and evolution of a small triangular pull-apart basin on the Zemuhe fault显示文摘Trenching is a primary technique on paleoseismology to reveal evidence of surface deformation produced by large earthquakes.A good trenching site requires completeness of geologic recording on paleoseismic events and corresponding reliable dating from radiocarbon samples.Based on three-dimension trenching,we show a structure of a small triangular pull-apart basin at the Daqingliangzi section on the Zemuhe fault,then explore interrelation between paleoseismic surface rupturing and evolution of the pull-apart basin,and give a corresponding identification model.Sedimentary boundary of the pull-apart basin is tightly bounded by two branch faults,which produced multiple paleoseismic events with deformation of some large fissures in sequence.Strata are thinner at north of the pull-apart basin,however thicker at south.These above characteristics show that evolution of the pull-apart basin is a continuous sedimentation process accompanying extensional deformation produced by multiple paleoseismic events.Small pull-apart basins are favorable sites for trenching and paleoseismic study on active strike-slip faults.WANG Hu RAN YongKang LI YanBao CHEN LiChun 2013Science China Earth Sciences2013,56,3:4
4Improvement on a Biometric Based User Authentication Scheme in Wireless Sensor Networks Using Smart Cards显示文摘With the development of the Internet of Things(IoT)technique,sensitive information collected by sensors may be leaked.In recent years,many authentication schemes have been proposed.Banerjee et al proposed a biometric based user authentication scheme in wireless sensor networks using smart cards in 2019.But we found that Banerjee et al's authentication scheme is vulnerable to impersonation attacks.In order to overcome the weaknesses of Banerjee et al's scheme,we propose a new authentication scheme.In our proposed scheme,we only use the exclusive-or operation and one-way Hash function for the efficiency,which can reduce the computation burden for the IoT devices.In the authentication and session key agreement phase,the secret registration parameter is not used for the authentication,and the session key is given for the all entities.In the Devol-Yao threat model,the security analysis demonstrates that our proposed authentication scheme can resist well-known attacks.DU Jianqi KANG Baoyuan HAN Yanbao QIAN Kun 2020Wuhan University Journal of Natural Sciences2020,25,2:3
5Ultrastructure of stridulating organ of Xylotrechus rusticus L. (Coleoptera, Cerambycidae) and behavioral responses to alarm sounds显示文摘We used scanning electron microscope (SEM) to observe the ultrastructure of stridulating organs in Xylotrechus rusticus L. We compared the morphological structure and size of stridulating organs, the numbers of a tooth-like part used in stridulation and its presence in females and males of this beetle. The alarm sound of X. rusticus was recorded first when it was stimulated, then we tested behavioral responses to this alarm sound. 6Shear of molecular deposition films on glass substrates determined by tribometer显示文摘The ultrathin polyelectrolyte molecular deposition films and polyelectrolyte composite nanoparticles molecular deposition films were prepared using layer-by-layer molecular deposition method and in situ growth method.A micro-tribometer has been developed to measure the shear response of those ultrathin molecular deposition films.By using a smooth steel sphere in a ball-on-flat configuration,the shear force was determined for molecular deposition films on glass substrate for different layers.The results indicate that the shear behaviors of molecular deposition film were mainly determined with the contact area and film layers.Moreover,the composite molecular deposition film with nanoparticles has better shear behaviors than the polyelectrolyte molecular deposition film.The shear force of polyelectrolyte molecular deposition film is more dependent on the speed than that of composite nanoparticle molecular deposition film.GUO YanBao WANG DeGuo LIU ShuHai ZHANG SiWei 2011Science China(Technological Sciences)2011,54,4:2
7Facile synthesis of Ag/La2O2CO3 hierarchical micro/nanostructures for antibacterial activity and phosphate removal显示文摘In this study,hierarchical Ag/La2 O2 CO3 micro/nanostructures(MNSs)were synthesized by in situ loading Ag nanoparticles(NPs)on the surface of the La2 O2 CO3 MNSs.The prepared La2 O2 CO3 MNSs present flower-like shape and can be tuned by the molar ratio of La(NO3)3 and CO(NH2)2.In the molar ratio of 1:2 to 1:55,the La2 O2 CO3 MNSs mainly consist of polyhedral rods,irregular rods and irregular spindles and their size is about 10,8 and 7μm,respectively.After loading Ag NPs,the spindle-like Ag/La2 O2 CO3 MNSs were used for phosphate removal and antibacterial activity.At the initial phosphate concentration of20 mg/L,the removal rate is 59.6%.The Ag/La2 O2 CO3 MNSs have significant antibacterial activity and their MIC values for S.aureus and E.coli are 31.3 and 15.6μg/mL,respectively.The results indicate that Ag/La2 O2 CO3 MNSs may have good application prospects in open water to inhibit bacterial growth.Xindang Bo Lijuan Wang Yanbao Zhao 2020Journal of Rare Earths2020,38,12:2

11Nanotribological behaviors of in situ nanoparticles doped molecular deposition films显示文摘The molecular deposition films of poly (diallyl dimethylammonium chloride) (PDDA) and poly (acrylicacid) (PAA) with Cu2+ on quartz and glass substrates were prepared in laboratory first, then different bilayers films were dipped into fresh Na2S aqueous solution. As a result, CuS nanoparticles were fabricated in multilayer molecular deposition films in situ. The structure and nanotribological properties of the composite films were analyzed by ultraviolet-visible (UV-visible) spectroscopy, XPS and atomic force microscope (AFM). It was found that the CuS nanoparticles were homogeneously distributed throughout the whole film. And these films had a much smaller friction force than their substrates and higher antiwear life than pristine PDDA/PAA molecular deposition films. 12Advances in the application of biomimetic surface engineering in the oil and gas industry显示文摘Friction is widespread in almost every field in the oil and gas industry,and it is accompanied by huge energy losses and potential safety hazards.To deal with a series of questions in this regard,biomimetic surfaces have been developed over the past decades to significantly reduce economic losses.Presently,biomimetic surface engineering on different scales has been successfully introduced into related fields of the oil and gas industry,such as drill bits and the inner surfaces of pipes.In this review,we focused on the most recent and promising efforts reported toward the application of a biomimetic surface in oil and gas fields,indicating the necessity and importance of establishing this disciplinary study.Regarding the oil and gas industry,we mainly analyzed and summarized some important research results into the following three aspects:(i)applications in reducing the wear of exploration production equipment and its components,(ii)separation and drag release technologies in oil/gas storage and transportation,and(iii)functional coatings used in oil and gas development in oceans and polar regions.Finally,based on an in‐depth analysis of the development of biomimetic surface engineering in the fields of oil and gas,some conclusions and perspectives are also discussed.It is expected that biomimetic surface engineering can be used in oil and gas fields more widely and systematically,providing important contributions to green development in the near future.Yanbao GUO ,Zheng ZHANG Siwei ZHANG 2019Friction2019,7,4:1
