| 1 | The first offshore natural gas hydrate production test in South China Sea显示文摘Natural gas hydrates (NGH)is one of key future clean energy resources.Its industrialized development will help remit the huge demand of global natural gas,relieve the increasing pressure of the environment, and play a vital role in the green sustainable growth of human societies.Based on nearly two decades' studying on the reservoir characteristics in the South China Sea (SCS)and the knowledge of reservoir system,the China Geological Survey (CGS)conducted the first production test on an optimal target selected in Shenhu area SCS in 2017.Guided by the 'three-phase control'exploitation theory which focused on formation stabilization,technologies such as formation fluid extraction,well drilling and completing, reservoir stimulating,sand controlling,environmental monitoring,monitoring and preventing of secondary formation of hydrates were applied.The test lasted for 60 days from May 10^th when starting to pump, drop pressure and ignite to well killing on July 9^th,with gas production of 3.09×10^5 m^3 in total,which is a world record with the longest continuous duration of gas production and maximal gas yield.This successful test brings a significant breakthrough on safety control of NGH production. | Jin-fa Li Jian-liang Ye Xu-wen Qin Hai-jun Qiu Neng-you Wu Hai-long Lu Wen-wei Xie Jing-an Lu Fei Peng Zhen-qiang Xu Cheng Lu Zeng-gui Kuang Jian-gong Wei Qian-yong Liang Hong-feng Lu Bei-bei Kou | 2018 | China Geology2018,1,1: | 117 |
| 2 | A rapid advice guideline for the diagnosis and treatment of 2019 novel coronavirus(2019-nCoV) infected pneumonia(standard version)显示文摘In December 2019, a new type viral pneumonia cases occurred in Wuhan, Hubei Province;and then named '2019 novel coronavirus(2019-nCoV)' by the World Health Organization(WHO) on 12 January 2020. For it is a never been experienced respiratory disease before and with infection ability widely and quickly, it attracted the world’s attention but without treatment and control manual. For the request from frontline clinicians and public health professionals of 2019-nCoV infected pneumonia management, an evidence-based guideline urgently needs to be developed. Therefore, we drafted this guideline according to the rapid advice guidelines methodology and general rules of WHO guideline development;we also added the first-hand management data of Zhongnan Hospital of Wuhan University. This guideline includes the guideline methodology, epidemiological characteristics, disease screening and population prevention, diagnosis, treatment and control(including traditional Chinese Medicine), nosocomial infection prevention and control, and disease nursing of the 2019-nCoV. Moreover, we also provide a whole process of a successful treatment case of the severe 2019-nCoV infected pneumonia and experience and lessons of hospital rescue for 2019-nCoV infections. | 4 | Combined detection tumor markers for diagnosis and prognosis of gallbladder cancer显示文摘AIM:To clarify the value of combined use of markers for the diagnosis of gallbladder cancer and prediction of its prognosis.METHODS:Serum cancer antigens(CA)199,CA242,carcinoembryonic antigen(CEA),and CA125 levels were measured in 78 patients with gallbladder cancer(GBC),78 patients with benign gallbladder diseases,and 78 healthy controls using electrochemiluminescence.CA199,CA242,CEA,and CA125 levels and positive rates were analyzed and evaluated pre-and postoperatively.Receiver operator characteristic curves were used to determine diagnostic sensitivity and specificity of GBC.Survival time analysis,including survival curves,and multivariate survival analysis of a Cox proportional hazards model was performed to evaluate independent prognostic factors.RESULTS:Serum CA242,CA125,and CA199 levels in the GBC group were significantly higher when compared with those in the benign gallbladder disease and healthy control groups(P<0.01).With a single tumor marker for GBC diagnosis,the sensitivity of CA199 was the highest(71.7%),with the highest specificity being in CA242(98.7%).Diagnostic accuracy was highest with a combination of CA199,CA242,and CA125(69.2%).CA242 could be regarded as a tumor marker of GBC infiltration in the early stage.The sensitivity of CA199 and CA242 increased with progression of GBC and advanced lymph node metastasis(P<0.05).The78 GBC patients were followed up for 6-12 mo(mean:8 mo),during which time serum CA199,CA125,and CA242 levels in the recurrence group were significantly higher than in patients without recurrence(P<0.01).The post-operative serum CA199,CA125,and CA242levels in the non-recurrence group were significantly lower than those in the GBC group(P<0.01).Multivariate survival analysis using a Cox proportional hazards model showed that cancer of the gallbladder neck and CA199 expression level were independent prognostic factors.CONCLUSION:CA242 is a marker of GBC infiltration in the early stage.CA199 and cancer of the gallbladder neck are therapeutic and prognostic markers. | Yun-Feng Wang Fei-Ling Feng Xu-Hong Zhao Zhen-Xiong Ye He-Ping Zeng Zhen Li Xiao-Qing Jiang Zhi-Hai Peng | 2014 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2014,20,14: | 37 |
| 5 | Gd-EOB-DTPA-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging for focal liver lesions in Chinese patients:a multicenter,open-label,phase Ⅲ study显示文摘BACKGROUND:Contrast agents help to improve visibility in magnetic resonance(MR)imaging.However,owing to the large interstitial spaces of the liver,there is a reduction in the natural contrast gradient between lesions and healthy tissue.This study was undertaken to evaluate the efficacy and safety of the liverspecific MR imaging contrast agent gadoxetate disodium(GdEOB-DTPA)in Chinese patients.METHODS:This was a single-arm,open-label,multicenter study in patients with known or suspected focal liver lesions referred for contrast-enhanced MR imaging.MR imaging was performed in 234 patients before and after a single intravenous bolus of Gd-EOB-DTPA(0.025 mmol/kg body weight).Images were evaluated by clinical study investigators and three independent,blinded radiologists.The primary efficacy endpoint was sensitivity in lesion detection.RESULTS:Gd-EOB-DTPA improved sensitivity in lesion detection by 9.46%compared with pre-contrast imaging for the average of the three blinded readers(94.78%vs 85.32%for Gd-EOB-DTPA vs pre-contrast,respectively).Improvements in detection were more pronounced in lesions less than 1cm.Gd-EOB-DTPA improved diagnostic accuracy in lesion classification.CONCLUSIONS:This open-label study demonstrated that Gd-EOB-DTPA improves diagnostic sensitivity in liver lesions,particularly in those smaller than 1 cm.Gd-EOB-DTPA also significantly improves the diagnostic accuracy in lesion classification,and furthermore,Gd-EOB-DTPA is safe in Chinese patients with liver lesions. | Meng-Su Zeng Hui-Yi Ye Liang Guo Wei-Jun Peng Jian-Ping Lu Gao-Jun Teng Josy Breuer Yi Huan Ping Li Jian-Rong Xu Chang-Hong Liang | 2013 | Hepatobiliary & Pancreatic Diseases International2013,12,6: | 31 |
| 6 | Detection of T lymphocyte subsets and mIL-2R on surface of PBMC in patients with hepatitis B显示文摘AIM: To study the levels of T lymphocyte subsets andmembrane interleukin-2 receptor (mIL-2R) on surface ofperipheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) of patients withhepatitis B and its role in the pathogenesis of hepatitis B.METHODS: The levels of T lymphocyte subsets and mIL-2R in PBMC before and after being stimulated with PHAwere detected by biotin-streptavidin (BSA) technique in 196cases of hepatitis B.RESULTS: In patients with hepatitis B, the levels of CD3+,CD4+ cells, and the ratio of CD4+ cells/CD8+ cells were lower,but the level of CD8+ cells was higher than those in normalcontrols (42.20±6.01 vs65.96±6.54, 38.17±5.93 vs41.73±6.40,0.91±0.28 vs 1.44±0.31, 39.86±6.36 vs30.02±-4.54, P<0.01).The total expression level of mIL-2R in PBMC before andafter being stimulated with PHA was also lower than thosein normal controls (3.47±1.55 vs4.52±1.49, 34.03±2.94 vs37.95±3.00, P<0.01). In all the patients with hepatitis B, thelevels of T lymphocyte subsets and mIL-2R in PBMC withHBV-DNA (+) were lower than those with HBV-DNA (-),which were significantly different (39.57±7.11 vs44.36±5.43,34.36±7.16 vs 40.75±5.87, 37.82±6.54 vs 41.72±6.21,0.88±0.33 vs0.99±0.27, 2.82±1.62 vs3.85±1.47, 31.56±3.00vs35.84±2.83, P<0.01). | 15 | Formation and control of disinfection byproducts and toxicity during reclaimed water chlorination: A review显示文摘Chlorination is essential to the safety of reclaimed water; however, this process leads to concern regarding the formation of disinfection byproducts(DBPs) and toxicity. This study reviewed the formation and control strategies for DBPs and toxicity in reclaimed water during chlorination.Both regulated and emerging DBPs have been frequently detected in reclaimed water during chlorination at a higher level than those in drinking water, indicating they pose a greater risk to humans. Luminescent bacteria and Daphnia magna acute toxicity, anti-estrogenic activity and cytotoxicity generally increased after chlorination because of the formation of DBPs. Genotoxicity by umu-test and estrogenic activity were decreased after chlorination because of destruction of toxic chemicals. During chlorination, water quality significantly impacted changes in toxicity.Ammonium tended to attenuate toxicity changes by reacting with chlorine to form chloramine,while bromide tended to aggravate toxicity changes by forming hypobromous acid. During pretreatment by ozonation and coagulation, disinfection byproduct formation potential(DBPFP)and toxicity formation potential(TFP) occasionally increase, which is accompanied by DOC removal; thus, the decrease of DOC was limited to indicate the decrease of DBPFP and TFP. It is more important to eliminate the key fraction of precursors such as hydrophobic acid and hydrophilic neutrals. During chlorination, toxicities can increase with the increasing chlorine dose and contact time. To control the excessive toxicity formation, a relatively low chlorine dose and short contact time were required. | 17 | Old canalicular laceration repair:a retrospective study of the curative effects and prognostic factors显示文摘AIM: To investigate the epidemiology and surgical outcomes of old canalicular laceration and analyze the variables impacting on the prognosis of reparation. METHODS: A retrospective review of all old canalicular laceration repairs from Jan. 1, 2008 to Dec. 30, 2015 was performed. Analyzed data included demographics, mechanisms of injury, the time from injury to repair, causes for delayed repair, old associated injuries, the types of surgery, and the effects of repair using canaliculus anastomosis combined with bicanalicular stent intubation. RESULTS: Totally 148 patients with old canalicular laceration received surgical repair and were enrolled. The mean age at presentation was 32.52 years old(ranged from 3 to 63 years old). The 110 patients(74.32%) were male and 127 patients(85.81%) were adults(≥18 years old). The old upper, lower, and bicanalicular lacerations were found in 5(3.38%), 39(26.35%), and 104 patients(70.27%), respectively. The mechanism of old injury was primarily due to motor vehicle accidents(n=53, 35.81%). The mean time from injury to repair was 43.61mo(ranged from 1 to 360mo). Associated old ocular and orbit injuries were found in 65 patients(43.92%), and chronic dacryocystitis in 18 patients(12.16%). The main cause of delayed repair was that doctors or patients didn't pay attention to the canalicular laceration because of the concurrent severe injuries(n=71, 47.97%). Totally 136 patients(91.89%) with old canalicular laceration underwent canaliculus anastomosis combined with bicanalicular stent intubation. In all of them, 20 patients(13.51%) were combined with dacryocystorhinostomy. In these cases, 132 patients(97.06%) attained anatomic success, 121 patients(88.97%) reported no epiphora(functional success), 11 patients(8.09%) reported significant epiphora anesis(functional improvement), and 4(2.94%) reported no significant anesis(functional failure). Rates of anatomic success and functional success were significantly correlated with different canaliculus involved. | 18 | A remote control training system for rat navigation in complicated environment显示文摘A remote control system has been developed to deliver stimuli into the rat brain through a wireless micro-stimulator for animal behavior training. The system consists of the following main components: an integrated PC control program, a trans-mitter and a receiver based on Bluetooth (BT) modules, a stimulator controlled by C8051 microprocessor, as well as an operant chamber and an eight-arm radial maze. The micro-stimulator is featured with its changeable amplitude of pulse output for both constant-voltage and constant-current mode, which provides an easy way to set the proper suitable stimulation intensity for dif-ferent training. The system has been used in behavior experiments for monitoring and recording bar-pressing in the operant chamber, controlling rat roaming in the eight-arm maze, as well as navigating rats through a 3D obstacle route. The results indi-cated that the system worked stably and that the stimulation was effective for different types of rat behavior controls. In addition, the results showed that stimulation in the whisker barrel region of rat primary somatosensory cortex (SI) acted like a cue. | 19 | Artesunate inhibits growth and induces apoptosis in human osteosarcoma HOS cell line in vitro and in vivo显示文摘This paper aims to investigate the effects of artesunate (ART) on growth and apoptosis in human osteosarcoma HOS cell line in vitro and in vivo and to explore the possible underlying mechanisms.Cell viability was measured by 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide (MTT) assay.The induction of apoptosis was detected by light and transmission electron microscopy and flow cytometry.Western blot analysis was used to investigate the related mechanisms.Nude mice were further employed to investigate the antitumour activity of ART in vivo.MTT assay results demonstrated that ART selectively inhibits the growth of HOS cells in a dose-and time-dependent manner.Based on the findings of light and transmission electron microscopy,Hoechst 33258 staining,and fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC)-annexin V staining,the cytotoxicity of ART in HOS cells occurs through apoptosis.With ART treatment,cytosolic cytochrome c was increased,Bax expression was gradually upregulated,Bcl-2 expression was downregulated,and caspase-9 and caspase-3 were activated.Thus,the intrinsic apoptotic pathway may be involved in ART-induced apoptosis.Cell cycle analysis by flow cytometry indicated that ART may induce cell cycle arrest at G2 /M phase.In nude mice bearing HOS xenograft tumours,ART inhibited tumour growth and regulated the expressions of cleaved caspase-3 and survivin,in agreement with in vitro observations.ART has a selective antitumour activity against human osteosarcoma HOS cells,which may be related to its effects on induction of apoptosis via the intrinsic pathway.The results suggest that ART is a promising candidate for the treatment of osteosarcoma. | Qiang xu Zhao-xu LI Hui-qin PENG Zheng-wang SUN Rui-lin CHENG Zhao-ming YE Wei-xu | 2011 | Journal of Zhejiang University-Science B(Biomedicine & Biotechnology)2011,12,4: | 14 |
