1Evaluation on Tourism Ecological Security in Nature Heritage Sites——Case of Kanas Nature Reserve of Xinjiang,China显示文摘The nature heritages are the precious legacy of nature with outstanding scientific and aesthetic value. They are quite different from other common ecotourism areas, because of its original and unique system, sensitive and vulnerable landscape, and peripheral cultural features. Therefore, the tourism development in the nature heritage sites should be on the premise of ecological security. The evaluation index system of tourism ecological security in nature heritage sites was constructed in this article by AHP and Delphi methods, including nature ecological security, landscape visual security and local culture ecological security, and the security thresholds of indices were also established. In the indices' weights of the evaluation model, the nature ecological security ranked the highest, followed by tourist landscape visual security and culture ecological security, which reflected the influence degree of the limited factor to tourism ecological security. Then, this paper carried out an empirical study of Kanas of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, China, which has the potential to be the World Nature Heritage. On the basis of the data attained from survey and observation on the spot, as well as questionnaire answered by tourists and local communities, the ecological security status in Kanas was evaluated. The result showed that the status of Kanas tourism ecological security was better, but there had some limiting factors. 2Estimation on Aesthetic Value of Tourist Landscapes in a Natural Heritage Site:Kanas National Nature Reserve,Xinjiang,China显示文摘Most world natural heritage sites are designated partly by reason of their prominent aesthetic values in accordance with Article Ⅶ of World Natural Heritage Convention.In this paper, the aesthetic values of Kanas National Nature Reserve, which has potential for such designation, was analyzed quantitatively using scenic beauty estimation(SBE).The landscapes of 19 representative scenic spots in the Kanas National Nature Reserve in summer and autumn were selected as the objects of evaluation.The contributions of different landscape factors to the aesthetic value of the Kanas National Nature Reserve were revealed using a multivariate quantitative model.The main factors affecting the aesthetic value were waterscapes, vegetation, mountains, folk culture and the tourist environment.The t-test and F-test results are extremely significant.According to the results, some suggestions were given for conserving the landscapes in the Kanas National Nature Reserve.DI Feng YANG Zhaoping LIU Xuling WU Jingrui MA Zhongguo 2010Chinese Geographical Science2010,20,1:11
3Development and Conservation of Glacier Tourist Resources——A Case Study of Bogda Glacier Park显示文摘Glacier is one kind of the most beautiful geological sightseeing in the world as well as a special kind of tourism resources.The characters of glacier tourism include scarcity,frangibility,localization of tourist activity,scien-tific connotation,and integrated function and value.The paper summarizes the latest researches in developing glacier tourism resources.Regarding the Bogda Glacier Park as an example,the authors analyze the characteristics of glacier tourism resources in detail and the conditions and potential threats of glacier tourism development.Suggestions on glacier tourism development and protection are given as follows:1) to plan function subarea scientifically and rea-sonably;2) to combine tourism,scientific research with ecological education;3) to take countermeasures of environ-mental protection;4) to integrate tourism resources and strengthening regional cooperation.Finally,emphases are put forward on resources conformity along the tourism line and cooperation of tourism management.The paper aims to seek after the coordination path in exploitation and protection of glacier tourism resources to guide the exploitation of other glacier tourism destinations.LIU Xuling YANG Zhaoping XIE Ting 2006Chinese Geographical Science2006,16,4:8

6Research and development of a novel subunit vaccine for the currently circulating pseudorabies virus variant in China显示文摘Pseudorabies(PR)is a devastating viral disease which leads to fatal encephalitis and respiratory disorders in pigs.Commercial gE-deleted live pseudorabies virus(PRV)vaccine has been widely used to control this disease in China.However,the new-emerging variants of PRV compromises the protection provided by current vaccines and lead to the outbreak of PR in vaccinated pig herds.Several killed and live vaccine candidates based on current PRV variants have been reported to be effective to control the disease.A subunit vaccine based on gB protein,one major PRV glycoprotein which elicits strong humoral and cellular immune responses,however,was never evaluated for protection against the current circulating PRV variants.In this study,full-length PRV gB protein was successfully expressed in baculovirus/insect cells in the soluble format and was tested on 3-week-old piglets as a subunit vaccine.Compared with unvaccinated pigs,the gB-vaccinated pigs developed specific antibody-mediated responses and were protected from the virulent PRV HN1201 challenge.All vaccinated pigs survived without showing any PRV-specific respiratory and neurological signs,but all unvaccinated pigs died within 7 days after HN1201 challenge.Hence,this novel gB-based vaccine could be applied as an effective subunit vaccine to control PRV variant in China.Yuzhou WANG Tongyan WANG He YAN Fanli YANG Linghua GUO Qingyuan YANG Xule HU Feifei TAN Yan XIAO Xiangdong LI Kegong TIAN 2015Frontiers of Agricultural Science and Engineering2015,2,3:2
7Empirical Analysis of Xinjiang's Bilateral Trade: Gravity Model Approach显示文摘Based on the basic trade gravity model and Xinjiang's practical situation, new explanatory variables (GDP, GDPpc and SCO) are introduced to build an extended trade gravity model fitting for Xinjiang's bilateral trade. From the empirical analysis of this model, it is proposed that those three variables affect the Xinjiang's bilateral trade posi- tively. Whereas, geographic distance is found to be a significant factor influencing Xinjiang’s bilateral trade negatively. Then, by the extended trade gravity model, this article analyzes the present trade situation between Xinjiang and its main trade partners quantitatively in 2004. The results indicate that Xinjiang cooperates with its most trade partners successfully in terms of present economic scale and developing level. Xinjiang has established successfully trade part- nership with Central Asia, Central Europe and Eastern Europe, Western Europe, East Asia and South Asia. However, the foreign trade development with West Asia is much slower. 8Sinoatrial node pacemaker cells share dominant biological properties with glutamatergic neurons显示文摘Activation of the heart normally begins in the sinoatrial node(SAN).Electrical impulses spontaneously released by SAN pacemaker cells(SANPCs)trigger the contraction of the heart.However,the cellular nature of SANPCs remains controversial.Here,we report that SANPCs exhibit glutamatergic neuron-like properties.By comparing the single-cell transcriptome of SANPCs with that of cells from primary visual cortex in mouse,we found that SANPCs co-clustered with cortical neurons.Tissue and cellular imaging confirmed that SANPCs contained key elements of glutamatergic neurotransmitter system,expressing genes encoding glutamate synthesis pathway(G/s),ionotropic and metabotropic glutamate receptors(Grina,Gria3,Grm1 and Grm5)t and glutamate transporters(Slc17a7).SANPCs highly expressed cell markers of glutamatergic neurons(Snap25 and S/-c17a7)t whereas Gad1,a marker of GABAergic neurons,was negative.Functional studies revealed that inhibition of glutamate receptors or transporters reduced spontaneous pacing frequency of isolated SAN tissues and spontaneous Ca2+transients frequency in single SANPC.Collectively,our work suggests that SANPCs share dominant biological properties with glutamatergic neurons,and the glutamatergic neurotransmitter system may act as an intrinsic regulation module of heart rhythm,which provides a potential intervention target for pacemaker cell-associated arrhythmias.Dandan Liang Zhigang Xue Jinfeng Xue Duanyang Xie Ke Xiong Huixing Zhou Fulei Zhang Xuling Su Guanghua Wang Qicheng Zou Yi Liu Jian Yang Honghui Ma Luying Peng Chunyu Zeng Gang Li Li Wang Yi-Han Chen 2021Protein & Cell2021,12,7:1

10Selection footprints reflect genomic changes associated with breeding efforts in 56 cucumber inbred lines显示文摘Cucumber selective breeding over recent decades has dramatically increased productivity and quality,but the genomic characterizations and changes associated with this breeding history remain unclear.Here,we analyzed the genome resequencing data of 56 artificially selected cucumber inbred lines that exhibit various phenotypes to detect trait-associated sequence variations that reflect breeding improvement.We found that the 56 cucumber lines could be assigned to group 1 and group 2,and the two groups formed a distinctive genetic structure due to the breeding history involving hybridization and selection.Differentially selected regions were identified between group 1 and group 2,with implications for genomic-selection breeding signatures.These regions included known quantitative trait loci or genes that were reported to be associated with agronomic traits.Our results advance knowledge of cucumber genomics,and the 56 selected inbred lines could be good germplasm resources for breeding.Bin Liu Dailu Guan Xuling Zhai Sen Yang Shudan Xue Shuying Chen Jing Huang Huazhong Ren Xingwang Liu 2019Horticulture Research2019,6,1:0
11STMN1 promotes the proliferation and inhibits the apoptosis of acute myeloid leukemiacells by activating the PI3K/Akt pathway显示文摘Recent studies have shown that the microtubule disrupting protein Stathmin 1(STMN1)is differentially expressed in AML patients and healthy control.The aim of this study was to explore the effects and molecular mechanism of STMN1 in AML.Here,the expression of STMN1 in peripheral blood cells(PBMCs)and bone marrow of AML patients and healthy volunteers was detected by RT-PCR and Western blot.STMN1 expression was regulated by transfected with STMN1 overexpressed plasmid or shRNA in two human leukemia cell lines K562 and HL60.Cell proliferation was examined by CCK8 and Edu staining.Annexin V and TUNEL assays were applied to test cell apoptosis.Flow cytometry was used to test the cell cycle distribution.The activation of the PI3K signaling pathway and the expression levels of cell cycle and cell apoptosis-related protein were determined by Western blot.In this study,we found that STMN1 was overexpressed in PBMCs and bone marrow of AML patients.STMN1 expression was closely related to FAB subtypes,risk stratification,disease-free survival,and overall survival of AML.Functional assays showed that overexpression of STMN1 in HL60 and K562 cells enhanced cell proliferation,decreased cell apoptosis,and caused G1 phase arrest.In contrast,suppression of STMN1reduced cell proliferation and enhanced cell apoptosis in both HL60 and K562 cells.Moreover,the PI3K/Akt pathway was activated by STMN1,while suppression of STMN1 dysregulated the PI3K/Akt pathway and upregulating the levels of caspases3 and Bax expression.In conclusion,STMN1 was confirmed to promote the proliferation and inhibit the apoptosis of HL60 and K562 cells by modulating the PI3K/Akt pathway.STMN1 might be a novel molecular target for treating AML.PENG YANG ZHIYING ZOU XULING GAO 2022BIOCELL2022,46,1:0
12Long noncoding RNA lnc_217 regulates hepatic lipid metabolism by modulating lipogenesis and fatty acid oxidation显示文摘Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is considered a major health epidemic with an estimated 32.4% worldwide prevalence. No drugs have yet been approved and therapeutic nodes remain a major unmet need. Long noncoding RNAs are emerging as an important class of novel regulators influencing multiple biological processes and the pathogenesis of NAFLD. Herein, we described a novel long noncoding RNA, lnc_217, which was liver enriched and upregulated in high-fat diet-fed mice, and a genetic animal model of NAFLD. We found that liver specific knockdown of lnc_217 was resistant to high-fat diet-induced hepatic lipid accumulation and decreased serum lipid in mice. Mechanistically, we demonstrated that knockdown of lnc_217 not only decreased de novo lipogenesis by inhibiting sterol regulatory element binding protein-1c cleavage but also increased fatty acid β- oxidation through activation of peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor α and carnitine palmitoyltransferase-1α. 13A CBL4-CIPK6 module confers salt tolerance in cucumber显示文摘Soil salinization is a major threat to cucumbers grown under protected cultivation.Under stressful environments,calcineurin B-like proteins(CBLs)can sense and bind Ca2+signals and regulate CBL-interacting protein kinases(CIPKs)to transmit signals and induce cellular responses.Although CBL-CIPK modules play central roles in plant development and response to various abiotic stresses in Arabidopsis,little is known about their functions in cucumber.In this study,we demonstrate that CsCBL4 interacts with CsCIPK6,which exhibited similar responses to salt stress in cucumber.Furthermore,salt stress resulted in greater accumulation of CsCBL4 and CsCIPK6.Comprehensive phenotype analysis demonstrated that silencing CsCBL4 or CsCIPK6 reduced the salt tolerance of cucumber,and overexpression of CsCBL4 increased the salt tolerance of Arabidopsis.Collectively,these results indicate that the CsCBL4-CsCIPK6 module plays an important role in the resistance of cucumber to salt stress.The information provides insights for the genetic breeding of salt tolerance in cucumber in the future.Mingfei Wang Songlin Yang Lei Sun Zhongxuan Feng Yiming Gao Xuling Zhai Yuming Dong Haoying Wu Yuanyuan Cui Sen Li Shuo Xu Ezra S.Bartholomew Huazhong Ren Xingwang Liu 2022Vegetable Research2022,2,1:0
