| 1 | Enhanced Strength and Ductility Due to Microstructure Refinement and Texture Weakening of the GW102K Alloy by Cyclic Extrusion Compression显示文摘The cyclic extrusion compression(CEC) was applied to severely deform the as-extruded GW102K(Mg–10.0Gd–2.0Y–0.5Zr, wt%) alloy at 350, 400, and 450 °C, respectively. The microstructure, texture, and grain boundary character distribution of the CECed alloy were investigated in the present work. The mechanical properties were measured by uniaxial tension at room temperature. The crack initiation on the longitudinal section near the tensile fracture-surface was investigated by high-resolution scanning electron microscopy(SEM). The result shows that the microstructure was dramatically refined by dynamic recrystallization(DRX). The initial fiber texture was disintegrated and obviously weakened. The 8-passes/350 °C CECed alloy exhibited yield strength of 318 MPa with an elongation-to-fracture of 16.8%, increased by 41.3% and 162.5%, respectively. Moreover, the elongation-to-fracture of the 8-passes/450 °C CECed alloy significantly increased more than 3 times than that of the received alloy. The cracks were mainly initiated at twin boundaries and second phase/matrix interfaces during tensile deformation. The microstructure refinement was considered to result in the dramatically enhanced of the strength and ductility. In addition, the texture randomization during CEC is beneficial for enhancing ductility. | 2 | X-BAND CIRCULARLY POLARIZED RECTENNAS FOR MICROWAVE POWER TRANSMISSION APPLICATIONS显示文摘Circularly polarized rectennas operating at X-band are studied in this paper. The quasi-square patches fed by aperture coupling are used as the circularly polarized receiving antennas, which are easily matched and integrated with the circuits of rectennas. The double-layer structure not only minimizes the size of the rectennas but also decreases the effects of the circuits on the an- tenna. The receiving elements have broader bandwidth and higher gain than the single-layer patches. Two rectennas operating at 10GHz are designed, fabricated and measured. The voltage of 3.86V on a load of 200? is measured and a high RF-DC conversion efficiency of 75% is obtained at 9.98GHz. | 4 | Persimmon leaf flavonoid promotes brain ischemic tolerance显示文摘Persimmon leaf flavonoid has been shown to enhance brain ischemic tolerance in mice,but its mechanism of action remains unclear.The bilateral common carotid arteries were occluded using a micro clip to block blood flow for 10 minutes.After 10 minutes of ischemic preconditioning,200,100,and 50 mg/kg persimmon leaf flavonoid or 20 mg/kg ginaton was intragastrically administered per day for 5 days.At 1 hour after the final administration,ischemia/reperfusion models were established by blocking the middle cerebral artery for 2 hours.At 24 hours after model establishment,compared with cerebral ischemic rats without ischemic preconditioning or drug intervention,plasma endothelin,thrombomodulin and von Willebrand factor levels significantly decreased and intercellular adhesion molecule-1 expression markedly reduced in brain tissue from rats with ischemic preconditioning.Simultaneously,brain tissue injury reduced.Ischemic preconditioning combined with drug exposure noticeably improved the effects of the above-mentioned indices,and the effects of 200mg/kg persimmon leaf flavonoid were similar to 20 mg/kg ginaton treatment.These results indicate that ischemic preconditioning produces tolerance to recurrent severe cerebral ischemia.However,persimmon leaf flavonoid can elevate ischemic tolerance by reducing inflammatory reactions and vascular endothelial injury.High-dose persimmon leaf flavonoid showed an identical effect to ginaton. | Mingsan Miao Xuexia Zhang Ming Bai Linan Wang | 2013 | Neural Regeneration Research2013,8,28: | 6 |
| 5 | QTL mapping in A-genome diploid Asiatic cotton and their congruence analysis with AD-genome tetraploid cotton in genus Gossypium显示文摘Asiatic cotton(Gossypium arboreum L.) is an Old World cultivated cotton species.The sinense race was planted extensively in China.Due to the advances in spinning technology during the last century,the species was replaced by the New World allotetraploid cotton G.hirsutum L.Gossypium arboreum is still grown in India and Pakistan and also used as an elite in current cotton breeding programs.In addition,G.arboreum serves as a model for genomic research in Gossypium.In the present study,we generated an A-genome diploid cotton intraspecific genetic map including 264 SSR loci with three morphological markers mapped to 13 linkage groups.The map spans 2,508.71 cM with an average distance of 9.4 cM between adjacent loci.A population containing 176 F2:3 families was used to perform quantitative trait loci(QTL) mapping for 17 phenotypes using Multiple QTL Model(MQM) of MapQTL ver 5.0.Overall,108 QTLs were detected on 13 chromosomes.Thirty-one QTLs for yield and its components were detected in the F2 population.Forty-one QTLs for yield and its components were detected in the F2:3 families with a total of 43 QTLs for fiber qualities.Two QTLs for seed cotton weight/plant and lint index and three QTLs for seed index were consistently detected both in F2 and F2:3.Most QTLs for fiber qualities and yields were located at the same interval or neighboring intervals.These results indicated that the negative correlation between fiber qualities and yield traits may result from either pleiotropic effect of one gene or linkage effects of multiple closely linked genes. | Xuexia Ma Yezhang Ding Baoliang Zhou Wangzhen Guo Yanhui Lv Xiefei Zhu Tianzhen Zhang | 2008 | Journal of Genetics and Genomics2008,35,12: | 5 |
| 6 | Persimmon leaf flavonoid induces brain ischemic tolerance in mice显示文摘The persimmon leaf has been shown to improve cerebral ischemic outcomes; however, its mechanism of action remains unclear. In this study, mice were subjected to 10 minutes of ischemic preconditioning, and persimmon leaf flavonoid was orally administered for 5 days. Results showed that the persimmon leaf flavonoid significantly improved the content of tissue type plasminogen activator and 6-keto prostaglandin-F1 α in the cerebral cortex, decreased the content of thromboxane B2, and reduced the content of plasminogen activator inhibitor-1 in mice. Following optical microscopy, persimmon leaf flavonoid was also shown to reduce cell swelling and nuclear hyperchromatism in the cerebral cortex and hippocampus of mice. | 7 | Fracture analysis near the interface crack tip for mode Ⅰ of orthotropic bimaterial显示文摘The mechanical behaviors near the interface crack tip for mode Ⅰ of orthotropic bimaterial are researched. With the help of the complex function method and the undetermined coefficient method, non-oscillatory field if the singularity exponent is a real number, and oscillatory field if the singularity exponent is a complex number are discussed, respectively. For each case, the stress functions are constructed which contain twelve undetermined coefficients and an unknown singularity exponent. Based on the boundary conditions, the system of non-homogeneous linear equations is obtained. According to the necessary and sufficient condition for the existence of solution for the system of non-homogeneous linear equations, the singularity exponent is determined under appropriate condition using bimaterial parameters. Both the theoretical formulae of stress intensity factors and analytic solutions of stress or displacement field near the interface crack tip are given. | 8 | Spatial distribution of ion polytropic index joint-modulated by temperature anisotropy and MHD disturbances in the southern high latitude magnetosheath显示文摘Using the Cluster data from 2001 to 2010, we studied spatial distribution of effective ion polytropic index in the southern high latitude magnetosheath, and joint-modulation of ion polytropic index by temperature anisotropy and MHD disturbances. The magnetosheath ions generally experience various polytropic processes with different polytropic index. The median polytropic indexes of magnetosheath ions in the GSE X-Y plane decrease toward the bow shock. Near the magnetopause, the median polytropic indexes are basically between isothermal and adiabatic except in the duskside flank close to the terminator. The analysis of correlation coefficient of perturbed ion number density with parallel magnetic field CC_δnδB_‖ and ion temperature anisotropy parameter A_T, indicates that the dominant MHD disturbance near magnetopause is slow mode with larger ion temperature anisotropy, and there are various modes of MHD disturbances with insignificant ion temperature anisotropy near the bow shock.The polytropic index modulated by slow mode disturbances is generally larger than that modulated by fast mode disturbances, and the larger ion temperature anisotropy, the larger polytropic index. The median polytropic indexes modulated jointly by slow mode disturbances and the strong ion temperature anisotropy can be larger than 1.0, while those modulated by fast mode disturbances and weak temperature anisotropy can be even possibly close to zero. Moreover, because of pronounced dusk-favored asymmetry of ion temperature anisotropy, the median polytropic index in the dawnside flank of the magnetosheath near the terminator is smaller than that in the duskside flank of the magnetosheath. | 9 | Bacterial reduction and release of adsorbed arsenate on Fe(III)-, Al- and coprecipitated Fe(III)/Al-hydroxides显示文摘Mobilization of arsenic under anaerobic conditions is of great concern in arsenic contaminated soils and sediments. Bacterial reduction of As(V) and Fe(III) influences the cycling and partitioning of arsenic between solid and aqueous phase. We investigated the impact of bacterially mediated reductions of Fe(III)/Al hydroxides-bound arsenic(V) and iron(III) oxides on arsenic release. Our results suggested that As(V) reduction occurred prior to Fe(III) reduction, and Fe(III) reduction did not enhance the release of arsenic. Instead, Fe(III) hydroxides retained their dissolved concentrations during the experimental process, even though the new iron mineral-magnetite formed. In contrast, the release of reduced As(III) was promoted greatly when aluminum hydroxides was incorporated. | 10 | Phylogenetic analysis and arsenate reduction effect of the arsenic-reducing bacteria enriched from contaminated soils at an abandoned smelter site显示文摘Microbial reduction of As(V)(i.e.,arsenate)plays an important role in arsenic(As)mobilization in aqueous environment.In this study,we investigated As(V)reduction characteristics of the bacteria enriched from the arsenic-contaminated soil at an abandoned smelter site.It was found that As(V)was completely reduced to As(III)(i.e.,arsenite)in 21 h.After 3-d incubation,a yellow solid was precipitated and the concentration of As(III)decreased sharply.After 150 h incubation,ca.65%of soluble arsenic was removed from the solution.The analysis of the precipitate by scanning electron microscopy and energy dispersive spectrometer(SEM-EDS) and X-ray diffraction(XRD)revealed that the main component was crystalline arsenic sulfide(AsS).Microbial mediated reduction and mobilization of adsorbed As(V)on ferric hydroxide was also examined.In the microcosm slurry experiment,ca.53%of the adsorbed As(V)was reduced to As(III)by the bacteria,which resulted in an appreciable release of arsenic into aqueous phase.The released arsenic was present predominantly as As(III).The microbial diversity was analyzed by 16S rDNA-dependent molecular phylogeny.A near-full-length 16S rDNA gene clone library was constructed.The 197 clones were analyzed using RFLP(restriction fragment length polymorphism)and 72 OTUs were obtained,which contributed 51%of the content for total clone number in six OTUs.Six bacterial clones in these six OTUs were selected for sequencing and the sequenced clones were found to belong to the group Caloramator, Clostridium,and Bacillus. | ZHANG, Xuexia JIA, Yongfeng WANG, Xin XU, Liying | 2008 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2008,20,12: | 2 |

| 12 | Case study of small scale polytropic index in the central plasma sheet显示文摘This paper studies the effective polytropic index in the central plasma sheet(CPS) by using the method of Kartalev et al.(2006), which adopts the denoising technique of Haar wavelet to identify the homogeneous MHD Bernoulli integral(MBI) and has been frequently used to study the polytropic relation in the solar wind. We chose the quiet CPS crossing by Cluster C1 during the interval 08:51:00–09:19:00 UT on 03 August 2001. In the central plasma sheet, thermal pressure energy per unit mass is the most important part in MBI, and kinetic energy of fluid motion and electromagnetic energy per unit mass are less important. In the MBI, there are many peaks, which correspond to isothermal or near isothermal processes. The interval lengths of homogenous MBI regions are generally less than 1 min. The polytropic indexes are calculated by linearly fitting the data of lnp and lnn within a 16 s window, which is shifted forward by 8 s step length. Those polytropic indexes with |R|≥0.8(R is the correlation coefficient between lnp and lnn) and p-value≤0.1 in the homogeneous regions are almost all in the range of [0, 1]. The mean and median effective polytropic indexes with high R and low p-value in homogeneous regions are 0.34 and 0.32 respectively, which are much different from the polytropic index obtained by traditional method(?trad=?0.15). This result indicates that the CPS is not uniform even during quiet time and the blanket applications of polytropic law to plasma sheet may return misleading value of polytropic index. The polytropic indexes in homogeneous regions with a high correlation coefficient basically have good regression significance and are thus credible. | 13 | Plasma assisted synthesis of LiNi_(0.6)Co_(0.2)Mn_(0.2)O_(2) cathode materials with good cyclic stability at subzero temperatures显示文摘Layered Ni-rich cathode materials,LiNi_(0.6)Co_(0.2)Mn_(0.2)O_(2)(NCM622),are synthesized via solid reaction assisted with a plasma milling pretreatment,which is resulted in lowering sintering temperatures for solid precursors.The plasma milling pretreated NCM622 cathode material sintered at 780℃(named as PM-780)demonstrates good cycling stability at both room and subzero temperatures.Specifically,the PM-780 cathode delivers an initial discharge capacity of 171.2 mAh g^(-1) and a high capacity retention of 99.7%after 300 cycles with current rate of 90 mA g^(-1) at 30℃,while stable capacities of 120.3 and 94.0 m Ah g^(-1) can be remained at-10℃and-20℃in propylene carbonate contained electrolyte,respectively.In-situ XRD together with XPS and SEM reveal that the NCM622 cycled at-10℃presented better structural stability and more intact interface than that of cathodes cycled at 30℃.It is also found that subzero temperatures only limit the discharge potential of NCM622 without destroying its structure during cycling since it still exhibits high discharge capacity at 30℃after cycled at subzero temperatures.This work may expand the knowledge about the low-temperature characteristics of layered cathode materials for Li-ion batteries and lay the foundation for its further applications. | Fanbo Meng Renzong Hu Zhiwei Chen Liang Tan Xuexia Lan Bin Yuan | 2021 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,5: | 2 |
