1Roles of manganese oxides in degradation of phenol under UV-Vis irradiation:Adsorption,oxidation,and photocatalysis显示文摘Manganese oxides are known as one type of semiconductors,but their photocatalysis characteristics have not been deeply explored.In this study,photocatalytic degradation of phenol using several synthesized manganese oxides,i.e,acidic birnessite (BIR-H),alkaline birnessite (BIR-OH),cryptomelane (CRY) and todorokite (TOD),were comparatively investigated.To elucidate phenol degradation mechanisms,X-ray diffraction (XRD),ICP-AES (inductively coupled plasma-atomic emission spectroscopy),TEM (transmission electronic microscope),N 2 physisorption at 77 K and UV-visible diffuse reflectance spectroscopy (UV-Vis DRS) were employed to characterize the structural,compositional,morphological,specific surface area and optical absorption properties of the manganese oxides.After 12 hr of UV-Vis irradiation,the total organic carbon (TOC) removal rate reached 62.1%,43.1%,25.4%,and 22.5% for cryptomelane,acidic birnessite,todorokite and alkaline birnessite,respectively.Compared to the reactions in the dark condition,UV- Vis exposure improved the TOC removal rates by 55.8%,31.9%,23.4% and 17.9%.This suggests a weak ability of manganese oxides to degrade phenol in the dark condition,while UV-Vis light irradiation could significantly enhance phenol degradation.The manganese minerals exhibited photocatalytic activities in the order of:CRY > BIR-H > TOD > BIR-OH.There may be three possible mechanisms for photochemical degradation:(1) direct photolysis of phenol;(2) direct oxidation of phenol by manganese oxides;(3) photocatalytic oxidation of phenol by manganese oxides.Photocatalytic oxidation of phenol appeared to be the dominant mechanism.Qin Zhang Xiaodi Cheng Chen Zheng Xionghan Feng Guohong Qiu Wenfeng Tan Fan Liu 2011Journal of Environmental Sciences2011,23,11:11
2DDIT4 promotes gastric cancer proliferation and tumorigenesis through the p53 and MAPK pathways显示文摘Background:Gastric cancer(GC)is one of the most common malignancies worldwide,particularly in China.DNA damage-inducible transcript 4(DDIT4)is a mammalian target of rapamycin inhibitor and is induced by various cellular stresses;however,its critical role in GC remains poorly understood.The present study aimed to investigate the poten-tial relationship and the underlying mechanism between DDIT4 and GC development.Methods:We used western blotting,real-time polymerase chain reaction,and immunohistochemical or immunoflu-orescence to determine DDIT4 expression in GC cells and tissues.High-content screening,cell counting kit-8 assays,colony formation,and in vivo tumorigenesis assays were performed to evaluate cell proliferation.Flow cytometry was used to investigate cell apoptosis and cell cycle distribution.Results:DDIT4 was upregulated in GC cells and tissue.Furthermore,downregulating DDIT4 in GC cells inhibited proliferation both in vitro and in vivo and increased 5-fluorouracil-induced apoptosis and cell cycle arrest.In contrast,ectopic expression of DDIT4 in normal gastric epithelial cells promoted proliferation and attenuated chemosensitivity.Further analysis indicated that the mitogen-activated protein kinase and p53 signaling pathways were involved in the suppression of proliferation,and increased chemosensitivity upon DDIT4 downregulation.Conclusion:DDIT4 promotes GC proliferation and tumorigenesis,providing new insights into the role of DDIT4 in the tumorigenesis of human GC.Feng Du Lina Sun Yi Chu Tingyu Li Chao Lei Xin Wang Mingzuo Jiang Yali Min Yuanyuan Lu Xiaodi Zhao Yongzhan Nie Daiming Fan 2018Cancer Communications2018,38,1:10
3Improving the process forming limit considering forming defects in the transitional region in local loading forming of Ti-alloy rib-web components显示文摘The isothermal local loading forming technology provides a feasible way to form Ti-alloy large-scale rib-web components in aerospace and aviation fields.However,the local loading process forming limit is restricted by forming defects in the transitional region.In this work,the feasibility of controlling forming defects and improving the process forming limit by adjusting die parameters is explored through finite element(FE) simulation.It is found that the common cavum and folding defects in the transitional region are significantly influenced by the fillet radii of left rib and middle rib,respectively.The cavum and folding defects can be effectively controlled by increasing the fillet radii of left rib and middle rib,respectively.The process forming limits considering forming defects in the transitional region are determined by the stepwise searching method under various die parameters.Moreover,the relationship between the process forming limit and die parameters is developed through the response surface methodology(RSM).The developed RSM models suggest that increasing the fillet radii of left and middle ribs is effective to improve the process forming limit during local loading forming of rib-web components.The results will provide technical basis for the design of die parameters and the reduction amount,which is of great importance to control forming defects and improve the process forming limit in local loading forming of Ti-alloy large-scale rib-web components.Pengfei GAO Xiaodi LI He YANG Xiaoguang FAN Zhenni LEI 2017Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2017,30,3:2

5Ammonia in urban atmosphere can be substantially reduced by vehicle emission control:A case study in Shanghai, China显示文摘To investigate the impact of emission controls on ammonia(NH_(3)) pollution in urban atmosphere, observation on NH_(3)(1 hr interval) was performed in Shanghai before, during and after the 2019 China International Import Expo (CIIE) event, along with measurements on inorganic ions, organic tracers and stable nitrogen isotope compositions of ammonium in PM_(2.5). NH_(3)during the CIIE period was 6.5±1.0μg/m^(3), which is 41% and 32% lower than that before and after the event, respectively. Such a decrease was largely ascribed to the emission controls in nonagricultural sources, of which contribution for measured NH_(3)in control phase abated by ~20% compared to that during uncontrol period. Molecular compositions of PAHs and hopanes further suggested a dominant role of the reduced vehicle emissions in the urban NH_(3)abatement during the CIIE period. 6Significant coal combustion contribution to water-soluble brown carbon during winter in Xingtai, China: Optical properties and sources显示文摘To understand the characteristics of atmospheric brown carbon(BrC),daily PM2.5 samples in Xingtai,a small city in North China Plain(NCP),during the four seasons of 2018-2019,were collected and analyzed for optical properties and chemical compositions.The light absorption at 365 nm(abs λ=365 nm)displayed a strong seasonal variation with the highest value in winter(29.0±14.3 M/m),which was 3.2∼5.4-fold of that in other seasons.A strong correlation of abs λ=365 nm with benzo(b)fluoranthene(BbF)was only observed in winter,indicating that coal combustion was the major source for BrC in the season due to the enhanced domestic heating.The mass absorbing efficiency of BrC also exhibited a similar seasonal pattern,and was found to correlate linearly with the aerosol pH,suggesting a positive effect of aerosol acidity on the optical properties and formation of BrC in the city.Positive matrix factorization(PMF)analysis further showed that on a yearly basis the major source for BrC was biomass burning,which accounted for 34% of the total BrC,followed by secondary formation(26.7%),coal combustion(21.3%)and fugitive dust(18%).However,the contribution from coal combustionwas remarkably enhanced in winter,accounting for∼40%of the total.Our work revealed that more efforts of“shifting coal to clean energy”are necessary in rural areas and small cities in NCP in order to further mitigate PM2.5 pollution in China.Dapeng Li Can Wu Si Zhang Yali Lei Shaojun Lv Wei Du Shijie Liu Fan Zhang Xiaodi Liu Lang Liu Jingjing Meng Yuesi Wang Jian Gao Gehui Wang 2023Journal of Environmental Sciences2023,,2:1

10Intramolecular Hydrogen Bond Improved Durability and Kinetics for Zinc‑Organic Batteries显示文摘Organic compounds have the advantages of green sustainability and high designability,but their high solubility leads to poor durability of zinc-organic batteries.Herein,a high-performance quinone-based polymer(H-PNADBQ)material is designed by introducing an intramolecular hydrogen bonding(HB)strategy.The intramolecular HB(C=O⋯N-H)is formed in the reaction of 1,4-benzoquinone and 1,5-naphthalene diamine,which efficiently reduces the H-PNADBQ solubility and enhances its charge transfer in theory.In situ ultraviolet-visible analysis further reveals the insolubility of H-PNADBQ during the electrochemical cycles,enabling high durability at different current densities.Specifically,the H-PNADBQ electrode with high loading(10 mg cm^(-2))performs a long cycling life at 125 mA g^(-1)(>290 cycles).The H-PNADBQ also shows high rate capability(137.1 mAh g^(−1)at 25 A g^(−1))due to significantly improved kinetics inducted by intramolecular HB.This work provides an efficient approach toward insoluble organic electrode materials.Tianjiang Sun Jun Pan Weijia Zhang Xiaodi Jiang Min Cheng Zhengtai Zha Hong Jin Fan Zhanliang Tao 2024Nano-Micro Letters2024,16,3:0
11Genetic diversity and population structure of Robinia pseudoacacia from six improved variety bases in China as revealed by simple sequence repeat markers显示文摘Robinia pseudoacacia is an important afforesta-tion tree introduced to China in 1878.In the present study,we examined the genetic diversity among 687 strains rep-resenting four improved varieties and two secondary prov-enances,comprising 641 clones and 46 seedlings.Ninety-one simple sequence repeats(SSRs)were selected through segregation analysis and polymorphism characterization,and all sampled individuals were genotyped using well-characterized SSR markers.After excluding loci with non-neutral equilibrium,missing locus data and null alleles,we used 36 primer pairs to assess the genetic diversity of these germplasm resources,revealing vast genetic differentiation among the samples,with an average of 8.352 alleles per locus and a mean Shannon′s index of 1.302.At the popula-tion level,the partitioning of variability was assessed using analysis of molecular variance,which revealed 93%and 7%variation within and among collection sites,respectively.Four clusters were detected using structure analysis,indi-cating a degree of genetic differentiation among the six populations.Insights into the genetic diversity and structure of R.pseudoacacia provide a theoretical basis for the con-servation,breeding and sustainable development in China.Qi Guo Sen Cao Li Dong Xiuyu Li Jiangtao Zhang Yuanshuai Zhang Zijie Zhang Yuhan Sun Cui Long Yingming Fan Chao Han Peiyao Han Xiaodi Liu Yun Li 2022Journal of Forestry Research2022,33,2:0
