3Scalable volumetric imaging for ultrahigh-speed brain mapping at synaptic resolution显示文摘The speed of high-resolution optical imaging has been a rate-limiting factor for meso-scale mapping of brain structures and functional circuits,which is of fundamental importance for neuroscience research.Here,we describe a new microscopy method of Volumetric Imaging with Synchronized on-the-fly-scan and Readout(VISo R)for high-throughput,high-quality brain mapping.Combining synchronized scanning beam illumination and oblique imaging over cleared tissue sections in smooth motion,the VISo R system effectively eliminates motion blur to obtain undistorted images.By continuously imaging moving samples without stopping,the system achieves high-speed 3D image acquisition of an entire mouse brain within1.5 hours,at a resolution capable of visualizing synaptic spines.A pipeline is developed for sample preparation,imaging,3D image reconstruction and quantification.Our approach is compatible with immunofluorescence methods,enabling flexible cell-type specific brain mapping and is readily scalable for large biological samples such as primate brains.Using this system,we examined behaviorally relevant whole-brain neuronal activation in 16 c-Fos-sh EGFP mice under resting or forced swimming conditions.Our results indicate the involvement of multiple subcortical areas in stress response.Intriguingly,neuronal activation in these areas exhibits striking individual variability among different animals,suggesting the necessity of sufficient cohort size for such studies.Hao Wang Qingyuan Zhu Lufeng Ding Yan Shen Chao-Yu Yang Fang Xu Chang Shu Yujie Guo Zhiwei Xiong Qinghong Shan Fan Jia Peng Su Qian-Ru Yang Bing Li Yuxiao Cheng Xiaobin He Xi Chen Feng Wu Jiang-Ning Zhou Fuqiang Xu Hua Han Pak-Ming Lau Guo-Qiang Bi 2019National Science Review2019,6,5:7
4Experimental study of photooxidation products of ethylbenzene显示文摘Smog chamber experiments were performed to investigate the composition of products formed from photooxidation of aromatic hydrocarbon ethylbenzene.Vacuum ultraviolet photoionization mass spectrometer and aerosol time-of-flight mass spectrometer were used to measure the products in the gas and particle phases in real-time.Experimental results demonstrated that ethylphenol,methylglyoxal,phenol,benzaldehyde,and 2-ethylfurane were the predominant photooxidation products in both the gas and particle phases.However,there were some dierences between detected gas phase products and those of particle phase,for example,2-ethylfurane,ethylglyoxylic acid,nitroethylbenzene,3,4-dioxopentanal and ethyl-nitrophenol were only existing in the particle-phase. 5Vacuum degree effects on betavoltaics irradiated by ^(63)Ni with differently apparent activity densities显示文摘For many current betavoltaics, beta sources and PN junction energy conversion units are separated. The air gap between the two parts could stop part of decay beta particles, which results in inefficient performance of the betavoltaic. By employing 63Ni with an apparent emission activity density of 7.26×10~7 and 1.81×10~8 Bq cm^(-2), betavoltaic performance levels were calculated at a vacuum degree range of 1×10~5 to 1×10^(-1) Pa and measured at 1.0×10~5 and 1.0×10~4 Pa, respectively. Results show that betavoltaic performance levels improve significantly as the vacuum degree increases. The maximum output power (P_(max)) exhibits the largest change, followed by short-circuit current (I_(sc)), open-circuit voltage (V_(oc)), and fill factor. The vacuum degree effects on Isc, Voc,and Pmax of the betavoltaic with low apparent activity density 63Ni are more significant than those of the betavoltaic with high apparent activity density ^(63)Ni. Moreover, the improved efficiencies of the measured performances are larger than the calculated efficiencies because of the low ratio of Isc and reverse saturation current (I_0). The values of I0, ideality factor, and shunt resistance were estimated to modify the equivalent circuit model. The calculation results based on this model are closer to the measurement results. 6A stretchable triboelectric generator with coplanar integration design of energy harvesting and strain sensing显示文摘The rapid development of flexible triboelectric nanogenerators(TENGs)has become an alternative to batteries for wearable devices.Stretchable,multifunctional,and low-cost are the primary development directions for these wearable devices based on TENG.Herein,a stretchable triboelectric generator with coplanar integration was designed for energy harvesting and force sensing.The industrial conductive silicone and silicone were used to fabricate the TENG with a thickness of less than 0.9 mm.When the elongation was less than 150%,TENG exhibited excellent linear characteristics in the resistance-tensile strain correspondence,and the coefficient of determination was 0.99.This stretchable TENG with a sufficient contact area of 9 cm^(2) could generate a short-circuit current of 2μA when it was in contact with the skin.Lastly,an intelligent tension monitoring wearable device that can effectively measure the tensile force was developed.Such a stretchable,coplanar integration-based,and low-cost wearable device has excellent applicability in wearable electronics.WU Bin ZHANG ZengXing XUE XiaoBin HAO CongCong ZHANG WenJun BI RuiYu WANG Qiang XUE ChenYang 2022Science China(Technological Sciences)2022,65,1:3
7Impaired Parahippocampal Gyrus-Orbitofrontal Cortex Circuit Associated with Visuospatial Memory Deficit as a Potential Biomarker and Interventional Approach for Alzheimer Disease显示文摘The parahippocampal gyrus-orbitofrontal cortex(PHG-OFC)circuit in humans is homologous to the postrhinal cortex(POR)-ventral lateral orbitofrontal cortex(vlOFC)circuit in rodents.Both are associated with visuospatial malfunctions in Alzheimer’s disease(AD).However,the underlying mechanisms remain to be elucidated.In this study,we explored the relationship between an impaired POR-vlOFC circuit and visuospatial memory deficits through retrograde tracing and in vivo local field potential recordings in 5XFAD mice,and investigated alterations of the PHG-OFC circuit by multi-domain magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)in patients on the AD spectrum.We demonstrated that an impaired glutamatergic POR-vlOFC circuit resulted in deficient visuospatial memory in 5XFAD mice.Moreover,MRI measurements of the PHG-OFC circuit had an accuracy of 77.33%for the classification of amnestic mild cognitive impairment converters versus non-converters.Thus,the PHG-OFC circuit explains the neuroanatomical basis of visuospatial memory deficits in AD,thereby providing a potential predictor for AD progression and a promising interventional approach for AD.Lin Zhu Zan Wang Zhanhong Du Xinyang Qi Hao Shu Duan Liu Fan Su Qing Ye Xuemei Liu Zheng Zhou Yongqiang Tang Ru Song Xiaobin Wang Li Lin Shijiang Li Ying Han Liping Wang Zhijun Zhang 2020Neuroscience Bulletin2020,36,8:2
8Modeling Indicator Systems for Evaluating Environmental Sustainable Development Based on Factor Analysis显示文摘Indicator systems of environmental sustainable development in the Poyang Lake Basin are established from 51 elementary indexes by factor analysis, which is composed of four steps such as the factor model, the parameter estimation, the factor rotation and the factor score. Under the condition that the cumulative proportion is greater than 85%, 5 explicit factors of environmental sustainable development as well as its factor score by region are carried out. The result indicates some impact factors to the basin environmental in descending sort order are volume of water, volume of waste gas discharge, volume of solid wastes, the degree to comprehensive utilization of waste gas, waste water and solid wastes, the emission volume of waste gas, waste water and solid wastes. 13Vacancy defect modulation in hot-casted NiOx film for efficient inverted planar perovskite solar cells显示文摘Nickel oxide(NiOx)has exhibited great potential as an inorganic hole transport layer(HTL)in perovskite solar cells(PSCs)due to its wide optical bandgap and superior stability.In this study,we have modulated the Ni26 vacancies in NiOx film by controlling deposition temperature in a hot-casting process,resulting the change of coordination structure and charge state of NiOx.Moreover,the change of the HOMO level of NiOx makes it more compatible with perovskite to decrease energy losses and enhance hole carrier injection efficiency.Besides,the defect modulation in the electronic structure of NiOx is beneficial for increasing the electrical conductivity and mobility,which are considered to achieve the balance of charge carrier transport and avoid charge accumulation at the interface between perovskite and HTL effectively.Both experimental analyses and theoretical calculations reveal the increase of nickel vacancy defects change the electronic structure of NiOx by increasing the ratio of Ni3^+/Ni2^+-and improving the p-type characteristics.Accordingly,an optimal deposition temperature at 120℃enabled a 36.24%improvement in the power conversion efficiency compared to that deposited at room temperature(25℃).Therefore,this work provides a facile method to manipulate the electronic structure of NiOx to improve the charge carrier transport and photovoltaic performance of related PSCs.Aili Wang Zhiyuan Cao Jianwei Wang Shurong Wang Chengbo Li Nuo Li Lisha Xie Yong Xiang Tingshuai Li Xiaobin Niu Liming Ding Feng Hao 2020Journal of Energy Chemistry2020,29,9:1

18Grazing greatly reduces the temporal stability of soil cellulolytic fungal community in a steppe on the Tibetan Plateau显示文摘Excessive livestock grazing degrades grasslands ecosystem stability and sustainability by reducing soil organic matter and plant productivity. However, the effects of grazing on soil cellulolytic fungi, an important indicator of the degradation process for soil organic matter,remain less well understood. Using T-RFLP and sequencing methods, we investigated the effects of grazing on the temporal changes of cellulolytic fungal abundance and community structure in dry steppe soils during the growing months from May to September, on the Tibetan Plateau using T-RFLP and sequencing methods. The results demonstrated that the abundance of soil cellulolytic fungi under grazing treatment changed significantly from month to month, and was positively correlated with dissolved organic carbon(DOC) and soil temperature, but negatively correlated with soil p H. Contrastingly, cellulolytic fungal abundance did not change within the fencing treatment(ungrazed conditions). Cellulolytic fungal community structure changed significantly in the growing months in grazed soils,but did not change in fenced soils. Grazing played a key role in determining the community structure of soil cellulolytic fungi by explaining 8.1% of the variation, while p H and DOC explained 4.1% and 4.0%, respectively. Phylogenetically, the cellulolytic fungi were primarily affiliated with Ascomycota(69.65% in relative abundance) and Basidiomycota(30.35%).Therefore, grazing substantially reduced the stability of soil cellulolytic fungal abundance and community structure, as compared with the fencing treatment. 19Facile lattice tensile strain compensation in mixed-cation halide perovskite solar cells显示文摘Despite the rapid development of power conversion efficiency(PCE)for halide perovskite solar cells(PSCs),the lattice strain engineering in perovskite thin films has been rarely probed in recent years.Herein,a strain compensation by homogeneous crystallization in perovskite films is achieved with the aid of precursor aging in the mixed-cation perovskite of Cs_(0.05)(FA_(0.83)MA_(0.17))Pb(I_(0.90)Br_(0.10))_(3)with near 20%PCE in inverted devices.The homogeneous crystallization releases the residual tensile stress and induces more compressive stress at the edges of perovskite films,thus elongating the carrier lifetime and reducing the trap-assisted carrier recombination.The high dependence on the perovskite components in strain engineering strategy was systematically revealed,wherein MAPbI_(3)and Cs_(0.05)(FA_(0.83)MA_(0.17))PbI_(3)film showed an increased compressive strain and FAPbI3 film showed adverse tensile strain after aging.The density functional theory(DFT)calculations are further performed to reveal the change of electronic features.The precursor aging-induced strain modulation was correlated with a systematic characterization of the charge carrier transport and recombination dynamics in the mixed-cation perovskite films.We believe that this facile approach provides a novel strain engineering strategy for PSCs technology.Shurong Wang Jie Hu Aili Wang Yuying Cui Bin Chen Xiaobin Niu Feng Hao 2022Journal of Energy Chemistry2022,31,3:0
20Multifunctional anchoring of O-ligands for high-performance and stable inverted perovskite solar cells显示文摘Functional additives have recently been regarded as emerging candidates to improve the performance and stability of perovskite solar cells(PSCs).Herein,nicotinamide(N),2-chloronicotinamide(2Cl),and 6-chloronicotinamide(6Cl)were employed as O-ligands to facilitate the deposition of MAPbI_(3)(MA=methylammonium)and MA-free FA_(0.88)Cs_(0.12)PbI_(2.64)Br_(0.36)(FA=formamidinium)perovskite films by multifunctional anchoring.By density functional theory(DFT)calculations and ultraviolet photoelectron spectroscopy(UPS)measurements,it is identified that the highest occupied molecular orbital(HOMO)level for additive modified MAPbI_(3)perovskite could reduce the voltage deficit for hole extraction.Moreover,due to the most favorable charge distribution and significant improvements in charge mobility and defect passivation,the power conversion efficiency(PCE)of 2Cl-MAPbI_(3)PSCs was significantly improved from 19.32%to 21.12%.More importantly,the two-dimensional grazing-incidence wide-angle X-ray scattering(GIWAXS)analysis showed that PbI_(2) defects were effectively suppressed and femtosecond transient absorption(TA)spectroscopy demonstrated that the trap-assisted recombination at grain boundaries was effectively inhibited in the 2Cl-MA-free film.As a result,the thermally stable 2Cl-MA-free PSCs achieved a remarkable PCE of 23.13%with an open-circuit voltage(V_(oc))of 1.164 V and an ultrahigh fill factor(FF)of 85.7%.Our work offers a practical strategy for further commercializing stable and efficient PSCs.Lisha Xie Xuhong Zhao Jianwei Wang Jun Li Chang Liu Shurong Wang Qinye Bao Mengjin Yang Xiaobin Niu Feng Hao Ziyi Ge 2023InfoMat2023,5,2:0
