1FINITE ELEMENT MODELLING OF COMPLEX 3D STATIC AND DYNAMIC CRACK PROPAGATION BY EMBEDDING COHESIVE ELEMENTS IN ABAQUS显示文摘This study proposes an algorithm of embedding cohesive elements in Abaqus and develops the computer code to model 3D complex crack propagation in quasi-brittle materials in a relatively easy and efficient manner.The cohesive elements with softening traction-separation relations and damage initiation and evolution laws are embedded between solid elements in regions of interest in the initial mesh to model potential cracks.The initial mesh can consist of tetrahedrons,wedges,bricks or a mixture of these elements.Neither remeshing nor objective crack propagation criteria are needed.Four examples of concrete specimens,including a wedge-splitting test,a notched beam under torsion,a pull-out test of an anchored cylinder and a notched beam under impact,were modelled and analysed.The simulated crack propagation processes and load-displacement curves agreed well with test results or other numerical simulations for all the examples using initial meshes with reasonable densities.Making use of Abaqus's rich pre/post-processing functionalities and powerful standard/explicit solvers,the developed method offers a practical tool for engineering analysts to model complex 3D fracture problems.Xiangting Su Zhenjun Yang Guohua Liu 2010Acta Mechanica Solida Sinica2010,23,3:23
2Preparation of Rare Earth Hydroxide and Oxide Nanoparticles by Precipitation Method显示文摘A series of rare earth hydroxide and oxide nanoparticles have been prepared by precipitation method with alcohol as the dispersive and protective reagent. Transmission electron microscope (TEM) images indicate that the particles are spherical in shape and smaller than 100 nm in size. The crystallite sizes of cubic Ln2O3 have lanthanide shrinking effect, while average crystal lattice distortion rates possess lanthanide swelling effect. The diffraction peak intensity of heavy rare earth oxide nanometer powders is remarkably stronger than that of light rare earth oxide nanometer powders. The variation of diffraction intensity with atomic number presents an inverted W type, forming a double peak structure. Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectrums reveal that Ln2O3 nanopowders have higher surface activity than that of ordinary Ln2O3 powders. The UV-vis spectra show that Ln-O bond of these particles is slightly blue-shifted, and its absorption intensity decreases.Xiangting DONG Guangyan HONG 2005Journal of Materials Science & Technology2005,21,4:8
3Do major customers promote firms’ innovation?显示文摘This study examines whether and how a concentrated supply chain relationship affects a firm’s innovation decisions. Using data from Chinese listed firms in the manufacturing industry, we find that a concentrated customer base constrains a firm’s R&D investment, where a 1% increase in customer concentration is associated with a 0.011% decrease in R&D investment. To establish causality, we use the instrumental variable method, the reverse causality model, and the Granger causality test to re-examine the relationship and arrive at a consistent conclusion. Results from mechanism analysis suggest that a concentrated customer base constrains the internal fund availability and that the negative relationship between customer concentration and firms’ innovation is less pronounced for firms with more external financial support. Additional analysis reveals that the negative effect of customer concentration mainly affects R&D investment expenditure and that customer concentration also constrains innovation output in China. 4Research progress of aconitine toxicity and forensic analysis of aconitine poisoning显示文摘Chinese herbal medicines have been extensively used in China and other countries for cen-turies.Aconitine,a diterpenoid alkaloid extracted from Aconitum plants,has anti-inflamma-tory and analgesic activities,but can also induce severe arrhythmia and neurotoxicity.Aconitine poisoning accidents caused by misuse,suicide,or homicide have been reported in recent years.In China,fatal aconitine poisoning can occasionally happen on account of acci-dental ingestion of some wild plants or consumption of herbal decoction made from the roots of Aconitum plants.However,it is rather difficult for forensic experts to find the specific results in present forensic autopsy of aconitine-induced death.To further clarify its potential risk following the widespread application of aconitine,toxicological characteristics and pharmacokinetics of aconitine are reviewed.Moreover,gastrointestinal,neurological,and car-diovascular symptoms were observed frequently in aconitine poisoning cases.In addition,the review also aims at providing some convincing evidences for forensic experts to identify unexplained death with postmortem examination.Xiangting Gao Jun Hu Xincai Zhang Yuanyi Zuo Yun Wang Shaohua Zhu 2020Forensic Sciences Research2020,5,1:6
5Atomically thin defect-rich Ni-Se-S hybrid nanosheets as hydrogen evolution reaction electrocatalysts显示文摘Facile design of economic-effective hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)catalysts with non-noble materials are promising for the production of renewable chemical fuels.Two-dimensional(2D)ultrathin transition metal dichalcogenides(TMDs)materials with large specific surface area and abundant catalytic active sites can significantly enhance their catalytic activities.Herein,we design and synthesize an atomically thin Ni-Se-S based hybrid nanosheet(NiSe1.2S0.8)via a simple solvothermal method,the thickness of NiSe1.2S0.8 nanosheets is only about 1.1 nm.Benefiting from the ultrathin nanostructure and rich defects,the optimal NiSe1.2S0.8 exhibits good electrocatalytic activity with the overpotential of 144 mV at−10 mA·cm−2,a small Tafel slope of 59 mV·dec−1,and outstanding catalytic stability in acid electrolyte for HER.The theoretical results show that hybrid electrocatalyst by S incorporation possesses the optimal adsorption free energy of hydrogen(ΔGH*).This study provides a simple method to synthesize a highperformance multicomponent electrocatalysts with the ultrathin nanostructures and abundant defects.Jianpeng Sun Xiangting Hu Zhaodi Huang Tianxiang Huang Xiaokang Wang Hailing Guo Fangna Dai Daofeng Sun 2020Nano Research2020,13,8:5
6Pulsed electrohydrodynamic printing of conductive silver patterns on demand显示文摘Pulsed electrohydrodynamic printing(EHDP) is used to fabricate conductive silver patterns with micrometer resolution.The silver ink pendant experiences swelling,pulsation,and ejection under an applied pulse voltage of 20 Hz.The droplet deposition frequency is equal to the applied voltage frequency so that the EHDP can deposit silver ink on demand.A low applied voltage favors uniform and non-scattering silver patterns while a high applied voltage results in ink scattering.Discrete droplets with 45-55 m in diameter and continuous tracks with 60 m in width are generated by using a 110-m-cailber nozzle.The feature size of deposited patterns is about half of the nozzle caliber,and a finer resolution can be achieved with the introduction of smaller nozzle calibers.Furthermore,the appropriate curing condition is investigated for sufficient combustion of ink solvent.The minimum resistivity of 3.3 cm is demonstrated for a continuous track cured at 200°C for 10 min.Eventually,several passive electrical components,such as coated resistors,interdigitated capacitors(6 pF),and spiral inductors(0.6 H),are successfully fabricated.WANG Xiangt XU Lei ZHENG GaoFeng CHENG Wei SUN DaoHeng 2012Science China(Technological Sciences)2012,55,6:4
7MODELING CONTACTS OF IONIC POLYMER METAL COMPOSITES BASED TACTILE SENSORS显示文摘We report the first attempt to model the contacts of an ionic polymer metal composite(IPMC) based tactile sensor. The tactile sensor comprises an IPMC actuator, an IPMC sensor and the target to be detected. The system makes use of multiple contacts to work: the actuator comes into contact with the sensor and pushes the movement of sensor; the contact between the sensor and the object detects the existence and the stiffness of the target. We integrate modeling of various physical processes involved in IPMC devices to form a simulation scheme. An iteration and optimization strategy is also described to correlate the experimental and simulation results of an IPMC bending actuator to identify the two key parameters used in electromechanical transduction. 9Novel functional fiber loaded with carbon dots for the deep removal of Cr(Ⅵ) by adsorption and photocatalytic reduction显示文摘A novel functional fiber(PAN-CDs) loaded with carbon dots(CDs) with excellent photoreduction and adsorption properties for Cr(VI) was prepared via an amidization reaction between the CDs’ carboxyl groups and amine groups on polyacrylonitrile(PAN)-based ion exchange fibers, which could completely preserve the fluorescence properties of the CDs. The photoluminescence(PL), photocatalysis and adsorption properties of PAN-CDs were characterized and analyzed. The PAN-CDs possess high adsorption capacity(297.6 mg/g) and excellent kinetic behavior(attaining adsorption equilibrium in 30 min)for Cr(VI) adsorption. Furthermore, the residual Cr(VI)(approximately 3 mg/L) after adsorption could be removed completely by subsequent photoreduction by the PAN-CDs.The Cr-saturated PAN-CDs could be easily separated by filtering and regenerated, with no observable decay of removal efficiency after five regeneration cycles. 14Decorating rare-earth fluoride upconversion nanoparticles on AuNRs@Ag core-shell structure for NIR light-mediated photothermal therapy and bioimaging显示文摘Photothermal therapy(PTT)has presented its inherent application value in cancer treatment.Nevertheless,single-functional photothermal materials cannot meet the precise diagnosis and treatment of cance r.Therefo re,it is important to design a nanocomposite that has both high therapeutic efficiency and multimodal imaging capabilities.In our work,a new nanostructure of gold nanorods(AuNRs)with silver shells decorated by BaGdF5:Yb^(3+),Er^(3+)nanoparticle was synthesized by a simple way.The biostability of AuNRs is increased by coating with silver shells,and the AuNR@Ag nanoparticles can be used as excellent surface enhanced Raman scattering(SERS)probe.Moreover,the modification of BaGdF5:Yb^(3+),Er^(3+)nanoparticles provides the possibility of real-time optical imaging of the tumor area.Under the irradiation of NIR laser,the AuNR@Ag/BaGdF5:Yb^(3+),Er^(3+)nanocomposites(NCs)have strong upconversion emission and excellent photothermal conversion efficiency.Meanwhile,the NCs show low cytotoxicity and good biocompatibility in MTT cytotoxicity test.Moreover,the NCs are also exceptional contrast agents for CT imaging.For in vitro photothermal therapy test,NCs show excellent killing efficiency on tumor cells.Therefore,the multifaceted research of AuNR@Ag/BaGdF5:Yb^(3+),Er^(3+)multifunctional nanomaterials provides a break for high-efficiency tumor photothermal therapy and multimodal imaging.Jingzhi Dou Bei Chen Guixia Liu Xiangting Dong Wensheng Yu Jinxian Wang Yunxiao Zhang Zhanguo Li Jiang Zhu 2022Journal of Rare Earths2022,40,2:1
