1Prognostic factors for transarterial chemoembolization combined with sustained oxaliplatin-based hepatic arterial infusion chemotherapy of colorectal cancer liver metastasis显示文摘Objective: To investigate the prognostic factors in chemorefractory colorectal cancer liver metastasis(CRCLM)patients treated by transarterial chemoembolization(TACE) and sustained hepatic arterial infusion chemotherapy(HAIC).Methods: Between 2006 and 2015, 162 patients who underwent 763 TACE and HAIC in total were enrolled in this retrospective study, including 110 males and 52 females, with a median age of 60(range, 26–83) years.Prognostic factors were assessed with Log-rank test, Cox univariate and multivariate analyses.Results: The median survival time(MST) and median progression-free survival(PFS) of the 162 patients from first TACE/HAIC were 15.6 months and 5.5 months respectively. Normal serum carbohydrate antigen 19-9(CA19-9, <37 U/m L)(P<0.001) and carbohydrate antigen 72-4(CA72-4, <6.7 U/m L)(P=0.026), combination with other local treatment(liver radiotherapy or liver radiofrequency ablation)(P=0.034) and response to TACE/HAIC(P<0.001) were significant factors related to survival after TACE/HAIC in univariate analysis. A multivariate analysis revealed that normal serum CA19-9(P<0.001), response to TACE/HAIC(P<0.001) and combination with other local treatment(P=0.001) were independent factors among them.Conclusions: Our findings indicate that serum CA19-9 <37 U/m L and response to TACE/HAIC are significant prognostic indicators for this combined treatment, and treated with other local treatment could reach a considerable survival benefit for CRCLM. 2Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon concentrations, compositions, sources, and associated carcinogenic risks to humans in farmland soils and riverine sediments from Guiyu, China显示文摘The concentrations of 16 priority polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs) were measured in 23 farmland soil samples and 10 riverine sediment samples from Guiyu, China, and the carcinogenic risks associated with PAHs in the samples were evaluated. Guiyu is the largest electronic waste(EW) dismantling area globally, and has been well known for the primitive and crude manner in which EWs are disposed, such as by open burning and roasting. The total PAH concentrations were 56–567 ng/g in the soils and 181–3034 ng/g in the sediments.The Shanglian and Huamei districts were found to be more contaminated with PAHs than the north of Guiyu. The soils were relatively weakly contaminated but the sediments were more contaminated, and sediments in some river sections might cause carcinogenic risks to the groundwater system. 3Growth Mechanism,Modified Morphology and Optical Properties of Coral-like BaTiO_3 Architecture through CTAB Assisted Synthesis显示文摘Three-dimensional hierarchical structure coral-like BaTiO3 nanoparticles have been self-assembled by a facile one step hydrothermal method. Cetyltrimethyl ammonium bromide(CTAB),Ba(OH)2·8H2O and tetrabutyl titanate have been used as precursors. The prepared Ba TiO3 exhibits cubic perovskite phase at room temperature,and the coral-like architecture is a micro-nano hiberarchy consisted of dendrimer-like structure and trunk-like structure. By adjusting the hydrothermal duration and the precursor substances,a surfactant induced mechanism is proposed to understand the self-assembly process. UV-vis measurement demonstrates that the as-prepared Ba TiO3 nanoparticles exhibit dozens of times overwhelming absorptive character compared to the ordinary nanospheres at ultraviolet band,which is benefited from the coral-like porous framework. Moreover,halogen anions( F,Cl,Br,and I) have been chosen to adjust the coral-like Ba TiO3 physical properties. Results show the halogen doping produces distinct modulation effect on the grain size,UV-vis absorbance and photoluminescence properties of the materials. 4Effect of ALA-PDT on the expressions of MMP-9, MMP-13 and TIMP-1 of hypertrophic scar model in rabbit ears显示文摘Objective: To investigate the effect of 5-aminolevulinic(ALA)-photodynamic therapy(PDT) on the expressions of MMP-9, MMP-13 and TIMP-1 of hypertrophic scar model in rabbit ears, and analyze the possible therapeutic mechanisms of ALA-PDT treatment to hypertrophic scars of rabbit ears. Methods: The experimental animals were randomly divided into normal control, negative control, high concentration of ALA-PDT, low concentration of ALA-PDT and PDT groups. The latter three groups received ALA-PDT treatment or PDT treatment once a week for 3 weeks. The specimens of the rabbits were collected respectively 1, 2 and 3 months after treatment to be used for RT-PCR and Western-blot test. Results: 1, 2 and 3 months after PDT treatment, the expressions of MMP-9 and MMP-13(including mRNA and protein) in hypertrophic scar tissues of three treatment groups were significantly higher than those of the negative control group(P<0.01), and the expression of TIMP-1 mRNA and protein of three treatment groups were significantly lower than that of the negative control group(P<0.01). There were also significant differences between high-concentration ALA-PDT treatment group and the low one(P<0.05). Conclusion: ALA-PDT is effective in treating hypertrophic scars of rabbit ears, and its possible therapeutic mechanisms are that ALA-PDT treatment generates oxidation activation effect to activate the activity of MMPs and induces the photoaging of fibroblasts of hypertrophic scar tissues of rabbit ears to inhibit the activity of TIMPs, which causes the up-regulation of MMPs and the down-regulation of TIMPs. 5Vacancy manipulating of molybdenum carbide MXenes to enhance Faraday reaction for high performance lithium-ion batteries显示文摘“Intrinsic”strategies for manipulating the local electronic structure and coordination environment of defect-regulated materials can optimize electrochemical storage performance.Nevertheless,the structure–activity relationship between defects and charge storage is ambiguous,which may be revealed by constructing highly ordered vacancy structures.Herein,we demonstrate molybdenum carbide MXene nanosheets with customized in-plane chemical ordered vacancies(Mo_(1.33)CT_(x)),by utilizing selective etching strategies.Synchrotron-based X-ray characterizations reveal that Mo atoms in Mo1.33CTx show increased average valence of+4.44 compared with the control Mo_(2)CT_(x).Benefited from the introduced atomic active sites and high valence of Mo,Mo_(1.33)CT_(x)achieves an outstanding capacity of 603 mAh·g^(−1)at 0.2 A·g^(−1),superior to most original MXenes.Li+storage kinetics analysis and density functional theory(DFT)simulations show that this optimized performance ensues from the more charge compensation during charge–discharge process,which enhances Faraday reaction compared with pure Mo_(2)CT_(x).This vacancy manipulation provides an efficient way to realize MXene’s potential as promising electrodes.Xin Guo Changda Wang Wenjie Wang Quan Zhou Wenjie Xu Pengjun Zhang Shiqiang Wei Yuyang Cao Kefu Zhu Zhanfeng Liu Xiya Yang Yixiu Wang Xiaojun Wu Li Song Shuangming Chen Xiaosong Liu 2022Nano Research Energy2022,1,3:2
6Biomass-derived hard carbon microtubes with tunable apertures for high-performance sodium-ion batteries显示文摘Sodium-ion batteries(SIBs)are considered the most up-and-coming complements for large-scale energy storage devices due to the abundance and cheap sodium.However,due to the bigger radius,it is still a great challenge to develop anode materials with suitable space for the intercalation of sodium ions.Herein,we present hard carbon microtubes(HCTs)with tunable apertures derived from low-cost natural kapok fibers via a carbonization process for SIBs.The resulted HCTs feature with smaller surface area and shorter Na+diffusion path benefitting from their unique micro-nano structure.Most importantly,the wall thickness of HCTs could be regulated and controlled by the carbonization temperature.At a high temperature of 1,600℃,the carbonized HCTs possess the smallest wall thickness,which reduces the diffusion barrier of Na+and enhances the reversibility Na+storage.As a result,the 1600HCTs deliver a high initial Coulombic efficiency of 90%,good cycling stability(89.4%of capacity retention over 100 cycles at 100 mA·g^(−1)),and excellent rate capacity.This work not only charts a new path for preparing hard carbon materials with adequate ion channels and novel tubular micro-nano structures but also unravels the mechanism of hard carbon materials for sodium storage.Pin Song Shiqiang Wei Jun Di Jun Du Wenjie Xu Daobin Liu Changda Wang Sicong Qiao Yuyang Cao Qilong Cui Pengjun Zhang Liaobo Ma Jiewu Cui Yan Wang Yujie Xiong 2023Nano Research2023,16,4:1

8Occurrence and impact of polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins/dibenzofurans in the air and soil around a municipal solid waste incinerator显示文摘To assess the influence of polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins and polychlorinated dibenzofurans(PCDD/Fs) on the environment in the vicinity of municipal solid waste incinerators(MSWIs), we determined the levels of PCDD/Fs in air and soil samples collected around a MSWI, which is the largest in China. The International Toxicity Equivalency Quantity(I-TEQ) concentrations of PCDD/Fs in air samples were from 0.0300 to 1.03 pg I-TEQ/m^3(0.445–13.6 pg/m^3), with an average of 0.237 pg I-TEQ/m^3, while in soil samples they ranged from 0.520 to 3.40 pg I-TEQ/g(2.41–88.7 pg/g) with an average of1.49 pg I-TEQ/g. The concentrations of PCDD/Fs in air and soil samples were comparable to other areas, and Pe CDFs were the dominant contributors, which was different from stack gas homologue patterns. Multivariate statistical analysis showed that PCDD/Fs emission from the MSWI did not directly affect the profiles of PCDD/Fs in air and soils, so that vehicles and unidentified emission sources should be considered. The daily inhalation levels of PCDD/Fs for children(0.0110 to 0.392 pg I-TEQ/(kg·day) and adults(0.00600 to 0.221 pg I-TEQ/(kg·day) near the MSWI were lower than the tolerable daily intake of 1.00 to 4.00 pg WHO-TEQ/(kg·day), but in winter the values were higher than in summer. 10POWER OPTIMIZATION ALGORITHM BASED ON XNOR/OR LOGIC显示文摘Based on the investigation of the XNOR/OR logical expression and the propagation al- gorithm of signal probability, a low power synthesis algorithm based on the XNOR/OR logic is pro- posed in this paper. The proposed algorithm has been implemented with C language. 16Synthesis and optical properties of novel Gd^(3+)-doped BaZn_(2)(PO_(4))_(2)glass-ceramics for radiation detection applications显示文摘45 P_(2)O_(5)-15 BaO-25 ZnO-15 B2O_(3)glasses doped with different concentrations(0 mol%,0.1 mol%,0.25 mol%,0.5 mol%,and 0.75 mol%)of Gd^(3+)were prepared by a melt-quenching method and treated to fabricate glass-ceramics containing BaZn_(2)(PO_(4))_(2)crystals by controllable crystallization.The structural,optical,and dosimetric properties were investigated.FTIR spectra indicate that the glasses are composed of[PO_(4)],[BO_(3)],and[BO_(4)]basic structural units.The XRD pattern analysis indicates that the samples contain BaZn_(2)(PO_(4))_(2)crystals.In the photoluminesce nce(PL)spectra,two emission bands are observed at 307 and 313 nm due to the^(6)P_(5/2)→^(8)S_(7/2)and^(6)P_(7/2)→^(8)S_(7/2)transitions of Gd^(3+),respectively.The OSL dosimetric properties of glass-ceramics were studied further under beta radiation of90Sr.The optimal Gd^(3+)doping concentration of 0.5 mol%was determined.The fading of the OSL signal shows that the CW-OSL signal of Gd^(3+)-doped BaZn_(2)(PO_(4))_(2)glass-ceramics decays by about 58.95%within120 h,and the intensity remains stable thereafter.The thermoluminescence(TL)curve has three peaks at 164,240,and 344℃.Minimum detectable dose(MDD)of the 0.5 mol%Gd^(3+)-doped BaZn_(2)(PO_(4))_(2)glass-ceramics was calculated as 0.675 mGy.The samples also exhibit good signal reusability and a broad linear dose-response range(0.3-500 Gy).Results show the excellent dosimetric properties of Gd^(3+)-doped BaZn_(2)(PO_(4))_(2)glass-ceramics and their potential application in radiation dosimetry.Wanli Li Zhaoyang Chen Jie Xu Pengjun Zhao Yanwei Fan Chengfa He 2022Journal of Rare Earths2022,40,12:0
17The remarkable effect of amino hydrogen on membrane permeability and organelle staining of 1,8-naphthalimide dyes显示文摘Membrane permeability and intracellular diffusion of fluorescent probes determine staining selectivity of intracellular substructures.However,the relationship between the molecular structure of fluorescent probes and their membrane permeability and intracellular distribution is poorly understood.In this paper,we reported a series of 1,8-naphthalimide dyes and carried out cell imaging experiments,and found that the presence of amino hydrogen in these dyes played a crucial role in their cell membrane permeability and intracellular distribution.The secondary amino group containing compounds 1-4 show excellent membrane permeability and strong fluorescence in living cells.While the tertiary amine containing dyes 5 and 6 can hardly permeate the cell membrane though they show extremely similar structure with compounds 2-4.Compound 1 can selectively image lipid droplets by selecting the wavelength of excitation light.With the specificity for lysosomes,2 and 4 have been used in long-term time-lapses imaging of lysosomal dynamics and tracking the process of lysosome-lysosome interaction,fusion and movement.The effect of hydrogen-containing amino substituent on the cell membrane permeability of fluorescent molecules is promising for the development of better biocompatible probes.Zhifeng Li Qinglong Qiao Ning Xu Kai An Wenchao Jiang Yi Tao Pengjun Bao Yinchan Zhang Zhaochao Xu 2024Chinese Chemical Letters2024,35,2:0
18Investigation of distribution uniformity of distributor for biogas slurry application based on CFD analysis显示文摘A horizontal distributor for biogas slurry application was proposed to explore the distribution performance through CFD analysis and verified by field test.The rheological properties of biogas slurry were analyzed at first,and key parameters were obtained for the next simulation.The effects of distribution modes,inlet direction,and outlets number on the velocity distribution of flow field and mass flow rate of the horizonal distributor were investigated by CFD simulations.Results of rheological properties indicated that biogas slurry was a non-Newtonian fluid and exhibited shear-thinning behavior.It can be well described by power-law model.The simulation results showed that the geometry of rotor,especially the block numbers was the main factor that determining the fluid movement and trajectory of distribution and output.The mode rotor 1 with two blocks reached the lowest variable coefficient of mass flow rate(4.49%),indicating a higher degree of uniformity.The upward inlet direction would obtain less dead zone,and the distributor with an even outlets number would possess more uniform distribution and less dead zone.The field test of the distributor with rotor 1,upward inlet direction,and 24 outlets has been carried on to verify the simulation results,the variable coefficient of mass flow was 13.06%,which was slightly higher than the simulation(9.23%),but it still within the range of requirement(<15%).The proposed model and the findings of this work are of guiding significance for the study of the utilization technology and equipment of liquid biogas residue.Jingjing Fu Yongsheng Chen Binxing Xu Biao Ma Pengjun Wang Aibing Wu Mingjiang Chen 2023International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2023,16,1:0
19High speed true random number generator with a new structure of coarse-tuning PDL in FPGA显示文摘A metastability-based TRNG(true random number generator) is presented in this paper, and implemented in FPGA. The metastable state of a D flip-flop is tunable through a two-stage PDL(programmable delay line).With the proposed coarse-tuning PDL structure, the TRNG core does not require extra placement and routing to ensure its entropy. Furthermore, the core needs fewer stages of coarse-tuning PDL at higher operating frequency,and thus saves more resources in FPGA. The designed TRNG achieves 25 Mbps @ 100 MHz throughput after proper post-processing, which is several times higher than other previous TRNGs based on FPGA. Moreover, the robustness of the system is enhanced with the adoption of a feedback system. 20Phase field simulation of dendrite growth in gas atomized binary Al-Ni droplets显示文摘Catalytic powders with fine microstructures can be produced from a rapidly solidified gas atomized Al-Ni alloy.The solidification microstructure of the droplets is closely linked with heat flow conditions.Thus,the heat transfer conditions between the gas and droplet are essential to microstructural evolution.In this study,a phase field model for simulating single and multiple dendrite growth in a binary Al-Ni alloy was constructed and the microstructural evolutions occurring during a gas atomization process were evaluated.Temporal variations in the heat transfer coefficient and the boundary heat flux were taken into account.The results revealed that the heat transfer coefficient of the atomized droplet in flight is correlated with the droplet size and the relative velocity between the droplet and the atomizing gas.During the simulation,the competition between boundary heat flux extraction and latent heat release from phase transition causes a recalescence process in thermal history,thereby affecting the gradient temperature distribution and,consequently,the dendrite morphology.Dendrite growth under the effects of the heat transfer coefficient is restrained continuously because of the decreasing amount of extraction.The computational results confirmed the fine homogeneous microstructure and low microsegregation levels of gas atomized powders.Yuntao Cai Pengjun Fang Xinggang Li Yi Xu 2020Particuology2020,18,3:0
