| 1 | Surveillance, epidemiology, and pathogen spectrum of hand, foot, and mouth disease in mainland of China from 2008 to 2017显示文摘Hand,foot and mouth disease(HFMD)was reported in May 2,2008 to be the 38th legally notifiable disease in China's National Notifiable Disease Reporting and Surveillance System.In order to solve the infection,an extensive three-level HFMD surveillance laboratory network was established.In this study,the framework of that network is assessed and the incidence of HFMD in China from 2008 to 2017 is reported using a descriptive epidemiologic method.During these 10 years,a series of techniques have been widely applied in all the network laboratories.Using information and material obtained from the network,a virus bank and database containing 18,238 viruses were established.Nationally,18,184,834 HFMD cases,including 152,436 severe cases and 3633 fatal cases,were reported in mainland of China.The average annual incidence in the population was 133.99/100,000 people,with a maximum incidence of 205.06/100,000 people in 2014.The incidence and mortality rates of HFMD were the highest in children aged 1–2 years.The numbers of reported cases fluctuated,with a high incidence observed every 2 years.An overall increase in the number of reported cases was also observed throughout the study period.Despite this,the incidence of severe cases and the mortality rate have been decreasing.High-risk regions are located in southern,eastern,and central China.Two peaks of HFMD infection cases were observed annually except for Northeast China.Different proportions of enterovirus serotypes were observed during the studied years.The predominant enterovirus varies from year to year,but the disease severity is always closely related to the specific serotype.EV-A71 is the dominant serotype associated with severe and fatal cases,with constituent ratios of 70.03%and 92.23%,respectively.The studied highly sensitive and efficient surveillance network provides information that is critical for prevention and control of the disease.It is extremely necessary and important to continuously conduct extensive virological surveillance for HFMD. | Tianjiao Ji Taoli Han Xiaojuan Tan Shuangli Zhu Dongmei Yan Qian Yang Yang Song Aili Cui Yan Zhang Naiying Mao Songtao Xu Zhen Zhu Dandan Niu Yong Zhang Wenbo Xu | 2019 | Biosafety and Health2019,1,1: | 26 |
| 2 | Chromosome-scale genome assembly provides insights into the evolution and flavor synthesis of passion fruit (Passiflora edulis Sims)显示文摘Passion fruit(Passiflora edulis Sims)is an economically valuable fruit that is cultivated in tropical and subtropical regions of the world.Here,we report an~1341.7Mb chromosome-scale genome assembly of passion fruit,with 98.91%(~1327.18Mb)of the assembly assigned to nine pseudochromosomes.The genome includes 23,171 protein-coding genes,and most of the assembled sequences are repetitive sequences,with long-terminal repeats(LTRs)being the most abundant.Phylogenetic analysis revealed that passion fruit diverged after Brassicaceae and before Euphorbiaceae.Ks analysis showed that two whole-genome duplication events occurred in passion fruit at 65 MYA and 12 MYA,which may have contributed to its large genome size.An integrated analysis of genomic,transcriptomic,and metabolomic data showed that‘alpha-linolenic acid metabolism’,‘metabolic pathways’,and‘secondary metabolic pathways’were the main pathways involved in the synthesis of important volatile organic compounds(VOCs)in passion fruit,and this analysis identified some candidate genes,including GDP-fucose Transporter 1-like,Tetratricopeptide repeat protein 33,protein NETWORKED 4B isoform X1,and Golgin Subfamily A member 6-like protein 22.In addition,we identified 13 important gene families in fatty acid pathways and eight important gene families in terpene pathways.Gene family analysis showed that the ACX,ADH,ALDH,and HPL gene families,especially ACX13/14/15/20,ADH13/26/33,ALDH1/4/21,and HPL4/6,were the key genes for ester synthesis,while the TPS gene family,especially PeTPS2/3/4/24,was the key gene family for terpene synthesis.This work provides insights into genome evolution and flavor trait biology and offers valuable resources for the improved cultivation of passion fruit. | Zhiqiang Xia Dongmei Huang Shengkui Zhang Wenquan Wang Funing Ma Bin Wu Yi Xu Bingqiang Xu Di Chen Meiling Zou Huanyu Xu Xincheng Zhou Rulin Zhan Shun Song | 2021 | Horticulture Research2021,8,1: | 15 |

| 6 | Study of altitudinal lapse rates of δ^(18)O in precipitation/river water with seasons on the southeast Tibetan Plateau显示文摘Seasonal δ 18O variation in water on the southeast Tibetan Plateau has been studied, showing the consistent variation pattern of δ 18O with altitude indicative of relevant atmospheric circulation processes. Study shows a similar variation pattern of fixed-site river water δ 18O with that of the precipitation δ 18O in southeast Tibet. δ 18O in regional rivers in southeast Tibet demonstrates a gradual depletion with increasing altitude, though the rates vary seasonally. The most depleted river 18O occurs during the monsoon period, with the lowest δ 18O/altitude lapse rate. The river 18O during the westerly period is also depleted, together with low δ 18O/altitude lapse rate. The pre-monsoon rivers witness the most enriched 18O with least significant correlation coefficient with the linear regression, whilst the postmonsoon rivers witness the largest δ 18O/altitude lapse rate. Different coherence of seasonal δ 18O variation with the altitude effect is attributed to different moisture supplies. | 8 | Rheological and Structural Properties of Sea Cucumber Stichopus japonicus During Heat Treatment显示文摘Changes in tissue structure, rheological properties and water content of raw and heated sea cucumber meat werestudied. Sea cucumber Stichopus japonicus was heated at 25°C, 70°C and 100 °C water for 5 min. The structural changeswere observed using a light microscope and the rheological parameters (rupture strength, adhesive strength and deformation)determined using a texture meter. Microscopic photograph revealed that the structural change of heated meat was greaterthan that of raw meat. The rupture strength, adhesive strength and deformation of raw meat were smaller than those of theheated meat. Meanwhile, rheological parameters showed positive correlation with heating temperature. These changes aremainly caused by thermal denaturation and gelatinization of collagen during heating. | 13 | Secreted Frizzled-Related Protein 5 (SFRP5) in Patients with Obstructive Sleep Apnea显示文摘Objective Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is closely related to obesity, insulin resistance and inflammation. Secreted frizzled-related protein 5 (SFRP5) is a recently discovered adipokine. It is involved in insulin resistance and inflammation in obesity. This study aimed at evaluating the association between SFRP5and sleeping characteristics as well as biochemical parameters of OSA patients.Methods This was a prospective case control study. Nondiabetic OSA patients and controls were consecutively recruited and divided into three groups: OSA group, apnea–hypopnea Index (AHI)≥5/h; healthy controls with normal body mass index (BMI); obese controls without OSA, and BMI > 24.0 kg/m2. All participants underwent polysomnography (PSG). Plasma SFRP5 was examined using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Blood biochemical examinations, including fasting blood glucose (FBG), lipid profile, hypersensitive Creactive protein (hsCRP), were performed early in the morning after PSG. Patients with severe OSA were treated with nasal continuous positive airway pressure (nCPAP), and plasma SFRP5 was repeatedly measured for comparison.Results Sixty-eight subjects were enrolled in the study, including 38 patients of OSA, whose medium AHI was 58.70 /h (36.63, 71.15), 20 obese controls, and 10 healthy controls. The plasma SFRP5 level of OSA patients was not significantly different from that of healthy controls or obese controls. In OSA patients, SFRP5 level correlated positively with triglyceride level (r=0.447, P=0.005) and negatively with LDL-cholesterol level and HDLcholesterol level (r=?0.472 and P=0.003; r=?0.478 and P=0.002; respectively). SFRP5 level was not found correlating with FBG, AHI, or any of nocturnal hypoxia parameters. After overnight nCPAP treatment, plasma SFRP5 levels of OSA patients did not change significantly (t=1.557, P = 0.148) compared to that of pretreatment.Conclusions In nondiabetic OSA patients, plasma SFRP5 is associated with the lipid profile. However,no correlation was observed between SFRP5 and FBG or sleep parameters. | 14 | Porphyromonas gingivalis infection promotes mitochondrial dysfunction through Drp1-dependent mitochondrial fission in endothelial cells显示文摘Porphyromonas gingivalis(P.gingivalis),a key pathogen in periodontitis,has been shown to accelerate the progression of atherosclerosis(AS).However,the definite mechanisms remain elusive.Emerging evidence supports an association between mitochondrial dysfunction and AS.In our study,the impact of P.gingivalis on mitochondrial dysfunction and the potential mechanism were investigated.The mitochondrial morphology of EA.hy926 cells infected with P.gingivalis was assessed by transmission electron microscopy,mitochondrial staining,and quantitative analysis of the mitochondrial network.Fluorescence staining and flow cytometry analysis were performed to determine mitochondrial reactive oxygen species(mtROS)and mitochondrial membrane potential(MMP)levels.Cellular ATP production was examined by a luminescence assay kit.The expression of key fusion and fission proteins was evaluated by western blot and immunofluorescence.Mdivi-1,a specific Drp1 inhibitor,was used to elucidate the role of Drp1 in mitochondrial dysfunction.Our findings showed that P.gingivalis infection induced mitochondrial fragmentation,increased the mtROS levels,and decreased the MMP and ATP concentration in vascular endothelial cells.We observed upregulation of Drp1(Ser616)phosphorylation and translocation of Drp1 to mitochondria.Mdivi-1 blocked the mitochondrial fragmentation and dysfunction induced by P.gingivalis.Collectively,these results revealed that P.gingivalis infection promoted mitochondrial fragmentation and dysfunction,which was dependent on Drp1.Mitochondrial dysfunction may represent the mechanism by which P.gingivalis exacerbates atherosclerotic lesions. | Tong Xu Qin Dong Yuxiao Luo Yanqing Liu Liang Gao Yaping Pan Dongmei Zhang | 2021 | International Journal of Oral Science2021,13,3: | 7 |
| 15 | Low-temperature Synthesis of Large-area Films of Molybdenum Trioxide Microbelts in Air and the Dependence of Their Field Emission Performance on Growth Conditions显示文摘A simple method is introduced for the preparation of large-area films of molybdenum trioxide (MoO3) microbelts. It is found that such films can be grown on indium tin oxide (ITO) glasses or silicon substrates at low temperatures by thermal evaporation deposition in air without using catalyst. Field emission measurements show that the turn-on field of the MoO3 microbelts is as low as 2.2 V/μm required to obtain a current density of 10 μA/cm2. | 17 | Milk selenium content and speciation in response to supranutritional selenium yeast supplementation in cows显示文摘The effects of selenium(Se)yeast supplementation on performance,blood biochemical and antioxidant parameters,and milk Se content and speciation were evaluated.Thirty-six mid-lactation Holstein dairy cows were randomly assigned to 1 of 3 treatments:1)control(basal diet containing Se at 0.11 mg/kg DM),2)basal diet+0.5 mg supplemental Se/kg DM(SY-0.5),and 3)basal diet+5 mg supplemental Se/kg DM(SY-5).Selenium was supplemented as Se yeast.The trial consisted of a 1-week pretrial period and an 8-week experimental period.Milk somatic cell score decreased with SY-5 supplementation(P<0.05),but other performance parameters were not affected(P>0.05).The serum Se concentration increased with the increasing levels of Se yeast supplementation(P<0.05),however,blood biochemical parameters showed few treatment effects.The antioxidant capacity of dairy cows was improved with Se yeast supplementation reflected in increased serum glutathione peroxidase activity(P<0.05)and total antioxidant capacity(P=0.08),and decreased malondialdehyde concentration(P<0.05).Milk total Se concentration increased with Se dose(P<0.05).Also,the selenomethionine concentration increased with Se dose from 13.0±0.7 pg/kg in control to 33.1±2.1 pg/kg in SY-0.5 and 530.4±17.5 pg/kg in SY-5 cows(P<0.05).Similarly,selenocystine concentration increased from 15.6±0.9μg/kg in control and 18.9±1.1 pg/kg in SY-0.5 to 22.2±1.5 pg/kg in SY-5 cows(P<0.05).In conclusion,Se yeast is a good organic Se source to produce Se-enriched cow milk with increased Se species including selenomethionine and selenocystine.The results can provide useful information on milk Se species when a high dose Se yeast was supplemented in the cow diet. | Lingling Sun Gentao Liu Dongmei Xu Zhaohai Wu Lu Ma Sanz-Fernandez M.Victoria Lance H.Baumgard Dengpan Bu | 2021 | Animal Nutrition2021,,4: | 6 |

Currently, a PCE record of as high as 22.1% has been achieved, comparative to those of copper indium gallium selenide and Cd Te solar cells. However, there are still some critical issues to solve, especially the stability issue at the current state, in order to promote PSC commercialization. In this respect, various device architectures and the working principle are briefly introduced. Then, key features of inorganic–organic hybrid perovskites and related film deposition methods are discussed.Typically, experimental and theoretical efforts to reveal the physical issues of the device are emphasized as well as the cell stability.
