1CAD-VR geometry and meta data synchronization for design review applications显示文摘In this paper we present the MEMPHIS middleware framework for the integration of CAD geometries and assemblies with derived Virtual Reality (VR) models and its specific meta data and attributes. The goal of this work is to connect real time VR applications, especially for the Design Review, with enterprise software storing and managing CAD models (Product Data Man- agement—PDM). The preparation of VR models requires expert knowledge, is time consuming, and includes selection of required CAD data, tessellation, healing of unwanted gaps, applying materials and textures, and special surface and light effects. During the Design Review process, decisions are made concerning the choice of materials and surface forms. While materials can be switched directly on the VR model, the modification of part geometries must be made on the CAD model. Our system synchronizes modi- fications of the original CAD geometries and of attributes that are relevant for the realistic rendering using the PLM Services standard. 4Estimate of oxygen consumption and intracellular zinc concentration of human spermatozoa in relation to motility显示文摘Aim:To investigate the human sperm oxygen/energy consumption and zinc content in relation to motility.Methods:In washed spermatozoa from 67 ejaculates,the oxygen consumption was determined.Following calculation of the total oxygen consumed by the Ideal Gas Law,the energy consumption of spermatozoa was calculated.In addition,the zinc content of the sperm was determined using an atomic absorption spectrometer.The resulting data were correlated to the vitality and motility.Results:The oxygen consumption averaged 0.24μmol/10^6 sperm×24h,0.28μmol/10^6 live sperm×24h and 0.85μmol/10^6 live & motile sperm×24h.Further calculations revealed that sperm motility was the most energy consuming process(164.31mJ/10^6 motile spermatozoa×24h),while the oxygen consumption of the total spermatozoa was 46.06mJ/10^6 spermatozoa ×24h.The correlation of the oxygen/energy consumption and zinc content with motility showed significant negative correlations(r=-0.759;P<0.0001 and r=-0.441;P<0.0001,respectively).However,when correlating sperm energy consumption with the zinc content,a significant positive relation(r=0.323;P=0.01)was observed.Conclusion:Poorly motile sperm are actually wasting the available energy.Moreover,our data clearly support the “Geometric Clutch Model”of the oneme function and demonstrate the importance of the outer dense fibers for the generation of sperm motility,especially progressive motility.Ralf R.Henkel Kerstin Defosse Hans-Wilhelm Koyro Norbert Weissmann Wolf-Bernhard Schill 2003Asian Journal of Andrology2003,5,1:2
