1Apatite fission track dating evidence on the tectonization of Gangdese block, south Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau显示文摘This work makes the quantitative constrain on tectonizations of the Gangdese block, south Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau. Apatite fission track (AFT) dating analyses of 15 samples collected across the Gangdese block show that the Gangdese block went through two periods of tectonizations, during -37.2-18.5 Ma and 18.5 - 8.0 Ma in the south Gangdese block, and during -47.6-5.3 Ma and 5.3-0 Ma in the middle Gangdese block. Different upliftings did not take place in the first period and rapid uplifting occurred in the late period. Meantime, there are some differences be-tween the south and middle Gangdese block. Their uplifting rate is 180 m/Ma and 70 m/Ma respectively. The rapid up-lifting time in the middle Gangdese block lagged behind the time in the south Gangdese block. 4Late Triassic–Cenozoic Thermochronology in the Southern Sanjiang Tethys, SW China, New Insights from Zircon Fission Track Analysis显示文摘The Sanjiang Tethys orogenic belt is located in the southeast side of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. It has undergone the opening and closing movements in different periods of Tethys oceans, complex accretive orogeny and strong mineralization from Paleozoic to Mesozoic. Using zircon fission track(ZFT) thermochronology, this study reveals the Sanjiang Tethys has experienced multi-stage tectonic activities during the Late Triassic–Cenozoic. The 15 ZFT ages with their decomposition components obtained from Sanjiang Tethysian region range from 212 to 19 Ma, which not only shows 6 age groups of 212, 179–172, 156–133, 121–96, 84–70 and 50–19 Ma, but also constrains the age limit of the tectonothermal events. These age groups recorded the Paleo-Tethys main and branches ocean opening/closure time. The age-elevation plot indicates the Sanjiang region had differential uplifting and exhumation and fast uplifting times of ca. 133, 116 and 80 Ma, coinciding with the age groups mentioned above. 5Apatite fission track dating evidence for tectonic movement of Yarlung Zangbo Thrust Zone显示文摘Fission track geological chronology is an effective method of study on tectonic movement of fault zone. Apatite fission track (AFT) dating analyses of 9-apatite and 4-zircon samples collected from Lhasa to Langkazi, -70-km-long in SN provide an understanding of the age and the uplifting of both sides of the Yarlung Zangbo Thrust Zone (YZTZ) in this work. The AFT ages range from-37 to 14 Ma, indicating the time of major tectono-thermal events, i.e. the continent-continent collision along the YZTZ. Based on the relationship between the AFT ages and the sample elevations, there were two tectonic active periods: -37-20 Ma and 20-14 Ma. In the first period the tectonic event did not bring on differential uplifting. Rapid differential uplifting with rapid cooling, resulting from thrusting, took place in the second period. The vertical displacement was -1020 m and total -2.9 km of overburden has been removed from the present-day surface since cooling below -110°C began. 11The Jinsha River Groundwater Observation Network and Discussion about Its Earthquake Precursor Monitoring Capability显示文摘A groundwater observational network for monitoring seismic precursors has been established at the reservoirs on the lower reaches of the Jinsha River in southwestern China, where a series of hydropower stations are under construction. It is the second network in China that is operated by enterprises with the purpose to observe and study earthquake precursors in reservoir areas. This paper presents the layout and technical constitution of the network, features of its observational wells and aquifers and the preliminary result of its experimental operation. 13Mesh excitations of spur gear considering strong correlation among tooth contact parameters,contact force,and tooth profile deviations显示文摘Gear mesh excitations are widely concerned in the dynamic studies of the gear transmission system.Meanwhile,intentional and unintentional tooth profile deviations often occur in gears.At present,the established calculation models of gear mesh excitations consider tooth profile deviations as displacement excitation.However,gear mesh excitations calculated by such models have reduced stability compared with the actual situation.Therefore,in this study,an improved analytical model of gear mesh excitations with tooth profile deviations is established.This established model considers tooth profile deviations,extended tooth contact,and the structure coupling effect of the gear body simultaneously.More importantly,the model considers the strong correlation among tooth contact parameters,contact force,and tooth profile deviations to better reflect the actual gear mesh.A calculation flowchart with a simple calculation method of contact forces is also proposed to calculate the gear mesh excitations.Finally,the effects of tooth profile deviations on gear mesh excitations are studied.The results show that the effects of tooth profile deviations on tooth contact position,the direction of contact force,and equivalent basic circle radii should be considered in the calculation of gear mesh excitations because of smaller system transmission errors,larger double-teeth meshing area,and slighter extended tooth contact.Tooth profile deviations also cause jumps in tooth contact position and time-varying mesh stiffness.Thus,our findings show that the proposed model can be used to calculate the gear mesh excitations more accurately when the tooth profile deviates greatly.LI ZhengFa CHEN ZaiGang ZHAI WanMing 2023Science China(Technological Sciences)2023,66,9:0

17Petrogenesis of granitic pegmatite veins:Perspectives from major element and B isotope in tourmalines,Chakabeishan,Northern Tibetan Plateau显示文摘The petrogenesis of regionally zoned granitic pegmatite veins remains debated.Because of the economic significance,we carried out a study on the Chakabeishan(CKBS)pegmatite-type Li-Be deposit,eastern North Qaidam Tectonic Belt,Northern Tibetan Plateau,by means of in-situ major element and B isotope compositions of tourmalines in the beryl-bearing and spodumene-bearing pegmatite veins.Tourmalines(Tur-Be)from the beryl-bearing pegmatite are homogeneous schorl with low Mg/(Mg+Fe),high Na/(Na+Ca)and Y Al,suggesting that they are of magmatic origin.Two generations of tourmalines(TurLi)from the spodumene-bearing pegmatite are identified:(i)the crystal cores(mostly elbaite and Lirich schorl with subordinate schorl)are consistent with being of magmatic origin crystallized at the magmatic stage;(ii)the crystal rims(schorl)are best understood as the overgrowth at the later hydrothermal stage.Tur-Be and Tur-Li show an obvious difference in core-to-rim B isotopic variation trend with d11B decrease in Tur-Be and increase in Tur-Li.The core-to-rim d11B decrease in Tur-Be results from degassing during its host pegmatitic melt evolution,whereas the core-to-rim d11B increase in Tur-Li is related to fluid exsolution.The estimated d11B values for the initial melts of the beryl-bearing and spodumenebearing pegmatites are10.46‰and10.78‰,respectively,indicating that they most likely originate from protracted fractional crystallization/differentiation of granitic intrusions rather than partial melting of metapelite.Both Mg/(Mg+Fe)ratios and Li abundances in the cores of Tur-Be are lower than those of Tur-Li,suggesting that Tur-Li crystallizes from chemically more evolved melts.Wenli Sun Zhidan Zhao Yaoling Niu Chunjing Wei Guochen Dong Xiaowei Li Wanming Yuan Tao Wang Bingzhang Wang Tong Pan Jie Han Hongliang Cao Yan Tang Dicheng Zhu 2023Geoscience Frontiers2023,14,5:0
18Microstructure design of advanced magnesium-air battery anodes显示文摘Metal-air battery is an environmental friendly energy storage system with unique open structure.Magnesium(Mg)and its alloys have been extensively attempted as anodes for air batteries due to high theoretical energy density,low cost,and recyclability.However,the study on Mg-air battery(MAB)is still at the laboratory level currently,mainly owing to the low anodic efficiency caused by the poor corrosion resistance.In order to reduce corrosion losses and achieve optimal utilization efficiency of Mg anode,the design strategies are reviewed from microstructure perspectives.Firstly,the corrosion behaviors have been discussed,especially the negative difference effect derived by hydrogen evolution.Special attention is given to the effect of anode micro-structures on the MAB,which includes grain size,grain orientation,second phases,crystal structure,twins,and dislocations.For further improvement,the discharge performance,long period stacking ordered phase and its enhancing effect are considered.Meanwhile,given the current debates over Mg dendrites,the potential risk,the impact on discharge,and the elimination strategies are discussed.Microstructure control and single crystal would be promising ways for MAB anode.Xu Huang Qingwei Dai Qing Xiang Na Yang Gaopeng Zhang Ao Shen Wanming Li 2024Journal of Magnesium and Alloys2024,12,2:0
