| 1 | Designing high-strength titanium alloy using pseudo-spinodal mechanism through diffusion multiple experiment and CALPHAD calculation显示文摘This study used the pseudo-spinodal mechanism to obtain the ultrafineαphase for designing highstrength titanium alloy.Diffusion multiple experiments were designed to find the composition range of TM-x Mo-y V alloy(TM:Ti-4.5 Al-2 Cr-2.5 Nb-2 Zr-1 Sn)for obtaining ultrafineαphase.CALPHAD results confirm that when the alloy composition is located near the intersection of theαandβphase free energy curves,the alloy will undergo pseudo-spinodal transformation and obtain the ultrafineαphase.The designed TM-6 Mo-3 V alloy has a yield strength of 1411 MPa and an elongation of 6.5%.The strength of the alloy depends on the thickness,fraction of theαphase and the solid solution strengthening effect of the alloying elements.The deformation mechanism of the alloy is the dislocation slip of theαandβphases and the twin deformation of theαphase.The large number ofα/βinterfaces produced by the fineαphase is the main reason for limiting the ductility of the alloy.The use of the pseudo-spinodal mechanism combined with diffusion multiple experiments and CALPHAD is an effective method for designing high-strength titanium alloys. | Di Wu Libin Liu Lijun Zeng Wenguang Zhu Wanlin Wang Xiaoyong Zhang Junfeng Hou Baoliang Liu Jiafeng Lei Kechao Zhou | 2021 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,15: | 3 |
| 2 | An improved method of absolute calibration to satellite altimeter: A case study in the Yellow Sea, China显示文摘An improved absolute calibration technology based on indirect measurements was developed through two probative experiments, the performance of which was evaluated by applying the approach to in situ sea surface height(SSH) at the Tianheng Island(tidal gauge) and the satellite nadir(GPS buoy). Using Geoid/MSS(mean sea surface) data, which accounted for a constant offset between nadir and onshore tidal gauge water levels, and TMD(tidal model driver), which canceled out the time-varying offsets, nadir SSH(sea surface height) could be indirectly acquired at an onshore tidal gauge instead of from direct offshore observation. | 5 | Probing interactions at two-dimensional heterointerfaces by boron nitride-wrapped tip显示文摘Non-covalent interactions are important for two-dimensional heterointerfaces but challenged to be accurately determined,especially when the dielectric hexagonal boron nitride(BN)is involved.Here,we present a comprehensive quantitative investigation on the interactions at the interfaces of BN-BN,BN-molybdenum disulfide,and BN-graphite using a BN-wrapped atomic force microscope tip and first-principle theory.The critical adhesion forces at BN-molybdenum disulfide and BN-graphite interfaces are measured to be 1.107±0.062 and 0.999±0.053 times that at BN-BN interface,respectively,while increase to 1.195±0.076 and 1.085±0.075 a.u.after exposure of the tip to radiation in scanning electron microscopy,with data repeatability higher than 86%.The result with non-radiated tip agrees with the van der Waals interactions predicted by the state-of-the-art density functional theory-based vdW2D method,whereas the effect of radiation comes from the introduced charges in the tip,indicating the crucial roles of both dispersion and electrostatic interactions in construction,manipulation and device application of two-dimensional heterostructures. | Baowen Li Xiaofei Liu Wanlin Guo | 2021 | Nano Research2021,14,3: | 1 |

| 12 | Comparison of the photo-acclimation potential of fl oating and benthic thalli of Sargassum horneri(Phaeophyta)during autumn and winter显示文摘Sargassum horneri is a foundational species and an important contributor to the fl oating seaweed stock along the northeastern coast of Asia.In this study,benthic and fl oating thalli of S.horneri were collected from Changdao Island(37°54′N,120°43′E),Bohai Bay,China.We conducted an in-situ and an indoor experiment to study the acclimation potential in S.horneri to abiotic conditions at sea surface in autumn and winter.Both benthic and fl oating thalli were cultured in situ for two months(from October to December)at diff erent depths:0 m above sea level(masl)and 3 m below sea level(mbsl),and their growth rate,biochemical content,and photosynthetic performance were compared.During the fi rst month of culture,the relative growth rate of fl oating thalli was 2-fold greater than that of benthic thalli at 0 masl.The photosynthetic rate of most thalli was signifi cantly higher at 0 masl than at 3 mbsl.In the indoor experiments,fl oating and benthic thalli were exposed to high light intensity(400μmol photons/(m^(2)·s)photosynthetically active radiation(PAR))for 21 d,and their photo-acclimation capacities were compared.Under high light intensity,the two types of thalli showed low maximum quantum yield(F_(v)/F_(m))and light utilisation effi ciency(α)but high light saturation point(E_(k)).Floating thalli showed higher photosynthetic rate and photoprotective ability than benthic thalli at high light intensity.The eff ective quantum yield of photosystem II[Y(II)]of both types of thalli recovered after a 6-day treatment with low light intensity(40μmol photons/(m^(2)·s)).These fi ndings suggest that S.horneri is highly acclimated to the sea surface environment,which possibly contributes to its rapid accumulation and long free-fl oating periods at the sea surface. | Jingjing LI Yunlong PANG Song QIN Zhengyi LIU Zhihai ZHONG Wanlin SONG Longchuan ZHUANG | 2022 | Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2022,40,1: | 0 |

| 16 | Identification of damaged corn seeds using air-coupled ultrasound显示文摘Corn,an important staple in many countries around the world,is subject to a very inefficient germination rate due to worm-damaged seeds.However,air-coupled ultrasound is a rapid,safe and widely accepted method for the early detection of such damage.In this study,the current effectiveness and future prospects of this technique for identifying damaged seeds were explored.The presented procedure started with drawing a sample of 810 seed particles,consisting of 400 that were intact,400 manually damaged and 10 damaged by worms.Then the principal component analysis(PCA)method was used to reduce the dimensions of air-coupling ultrasonic information and extract the top ten principal components.Finally,a KNN decision tree by using SIMCA software and a Fisher recognition model by using MATLAB software were constructed.The pattern recognition was established by using KNN,which has the most accurate recognition rate.The correct recognition rate of modeling for the front and back data of the intact particles was 98%and 100%,respectively;and for the manually damaged particles,99%and 97%,respectively.The results show that the model developed by using air-coupled ultrasonic data can classify corn seed particles both with and without holes to provide a basis for the development of a seed selection system,which has a significant role in improving the clarity and the germination rate. | Jin Yanyun Gao Wanlin Zhang Han An Dong Guo Sihan Saeed Iftikhar Ahmed Liu Yunling | 2016 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2016,9,1: | 0 |

| 18 | Peripheral CD4^(+)CD8^(+) double positive T cells:A potential marker to evaluate renal impairment susceptibility during systemic lupus erythematosus显示文摘Lupus nephritis(LN) has a high incidence in systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE) patients, but there is a lack of sensitive predictive markers. The purpose of the study was to investigate the association between the CD4^(+)CD8^(+)double positive T(DPT) lymphocytes and LN. The study included patients with SLE without renal impairment(SLE-NRI), LN, nephritic syndrome(NS), or nephritis. Peripheral blood lymphocyte subsets were analyzed by flow cytometry. Biochemical measurements were performed with peripheral blood in accordance with the recommendations proposed by the National Center for Clinical Laboratories. The proportions of DPT cells in the LN group were significantly higher than that in the SLE-NRI group(t=4.012, P<0.001), NS group(t=3.240,P=0.001), and nephritis group(t=2.57, P=0.011). In the LN group, the risk of renal impairment increased significantly in a DPT cells proportion-dependent manner. The risk of LN was 5.136 times(95% confidence interval, 2.115–12.473) higher in cases with a high proportion of DPT cells than those whose proportion of DPT cells within the normal range.
